Vitamix Blend of the Day: Chocolate Protein Post Workout Smoothie
- One Avocado
- 2 Cups Spinach
- One Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder (I used tera’s whey)
- 1 spoon natural/organic peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao
- ½ cup almond milk (soy/hemp/rice/whatever floats yer boat)
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 tablespoon organic coconut oil
- ½ cup mixed berries
(I use berries as a sweetener in this case. You could use dates, a touch of honey, or banana in place of the berries.)
This one packs in calories and fats to help after a work out.This is NOT a low calorie option, but it is high calorie for a reason. When you work out you need to repair and refuel. The idea of this smoothie is to give your body what it needs to mend any damage you did while working otu and to amp up your energy stores.
Super delicious though! Tastes a bit like chocolate pudding!
