Hi, can you please enlighten me on that whole Studio Ghibli closing thing? And Miyazaki's retirement? Like Is he retired now? And is Studio Ghibli closed forever? And what about this "new Ghibli studio" called Studio Ponoc? Too many questions sorry lol and thank you for this amazing blog.

Studio Ghibli has never been closed, but Hayao Miyazaki had officially announced his retirement in 2013 after the release of The Wind Rises. That said, he also retired after the release of Princess Mononoke in 1997, and then went on to make Spirited Away. Hayao Miyazaki has work ethic and animation in every fibre of his being, he will never sit still and retire, no matter how often he announces it. Only one thing will retire him from his work, and hopefully not for decades to come.

Last year he started work on a short film that was to be shown exclusively at the Studio Ghibli Museum, called Boro the Caterpillar. But it seems that Hayao Miyazaki was unhappy with the short length of the film, and has decided to make it in to a full feature length movie, expected to be released in 2019.

Studio Ponoc is a new animation studio, comprised of animators that used to work for Studio Ghibli. Their first release, Mary and the Witch’s Flower, is directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, who had directed The Borrower Arrietty and When Marnie was There for Studio Ghibli. Animators need to pay their bills and feed their families, and they can’t sit on their hands for years on end while Studio Ghibli stagnates. So that is why we have Studio Ponoc.

I hope that answers everything ^____^ If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I don’t get many asks these days. xoxox

“I don’t do suits” You grumbled to the Hybrid who raised his eyebrows.

“You’ll look good in one.” He insisted, tipping back in his chair.

“There’s only one suit I look good in and you don’t wear it to fancy dinner parties.” You muttered, looking at your hands as you tried not to make eye contact with Klaus as he held back a laugh so you would explode into a laugh.

A Wish To Reach You 1/?

Summary: “Why am I investing so much energy into this game?” Yuuri asks himself as he lies in bed at 3:30 AM, selecting answers in response to the game characters.

After being introduced to a mobile game called “Mysterious Messages”, Yuuri quickly finds out that this isn’t the type of game that you can play for just a while. It sucks you in and keeps your attention. He ends up getting extremely invested not only because one of the characters is unfairly handsome, but also because of its appealing story and lovable cast. He’s also strangely attracted to said handsome character, even though he’s not real.

“Huh…that’s odd,” Yuuko said when Yuuri showed her the messages he received from Victor in game. “I never got these messages, and I completed the whole game.”

After looking through past messages, she got more confused. “Most of these aren’t the pre-programmed messages.”

Yuuri felt goosebumps crawl up his arms. “D-Do you think something’s wrong with my game?”

“What if Victor grew a conscience?” Yuuko whispered and stayed silent for a couple of ominous seconds. When Yuuri shifted uncomfortably, she burst into laughter. “Nah, that’s not possible. It’s just a game.”

…Or is it?

A young man with dark hair and large, blue rimmed glasses perched on his nose turned around at the sound of his name, and was immediately hugged by a girl with mid-length brown hair tied in a high ponytail. Suddenly thrown off balance, the young man took a couple of steps backwards to try and remain standing.

On shikamaru not giving af about Sauske Kishi really could've taken that somewhere bc I doubt that he was the 1st and only one to feel like that. Like you want me to risk my life risk not coming home to my family/life cos somebody wanted to take an extended vacation/Move out from your village? Tf???? Like imagine if you couldn't move from state to state or town to town smh...

It’s a mission, he got paid. All their missions involve risking their life and not coming home to their family, no? It’s not a desk job. That’s why it’s hard to imagine someone like shikamaru or chouji would want to become a shinobi if given other options.

Lux aka Goody Two-Shoes

He’s the other half of a whole being. He prefers to keep a positive view on things. He sorta holds back his feelings and bottles them up, as a way of coping with the problems he deals with. He’s a bit if a push-over and kind of a doormat. He likes to be around people he cares for, but just not too many at once. Also he loves caring for others and giving them affection, but only for the ones he’s close to of course.

I’m reading this meta by @may-shepard (only a few paragraphs in so far), and there’s a great line that strikes me as incredibly pertinent:

This series emphasizes, from the beginning, the idea that we’re not in the land of deduction any more. Something else is at play, something that can only be arrived at through following intuition.

Since I use EMP to rationalize series 4, this makes perfect sense: if Sherlock’s subconscious is weaving the narrative, then anything under the surface (connections, déjà vu, metaphors, memories) can only be reached through intuition. He can’t deduce everything in front of him, since he’s the only one there – every character is an extension of his mind, so he can only puzzle out simulations for so long before he runs out of real-life data to base his deductions on, and all that he’s left with is what he creates.

One of the big complaints about series 4 was that it made him into a sort of superhero, no longer an incredibly smart human, but instead an unrealistic character who interacts with the likes of Eurus. If he’s in control of the plot, then of course he’s reached god-level status. Deduction is pointless if there’s no information to uncover.

“Intuition” usually involves quick judgements of character, or the feeling that something’s wrong. (“But doesn’t this remind you of another case?” “It’s on the tip of my tongue…”) The problem with dreams is that you start to forget a lot of little things, like the style of your friend’s hair or the color of a painting on your wall, but also some really big things too. You start to lose your grasp on reality. And that’s where intuition really comes in, with determining whether something feels real or not.

I think that this is why the memory drug popped up in TLD, and then was quickly forgotten about; in dreams you forget who you are, or where you are, or how you got there. (There was a great point about how TFP’s jumps between locations reflects Inception’s idea that you never remember arriving places in dreams.) TD-12 provided Sherlock with an explanation for why he felt like he couldn’t remember some things. TFP suggested that he’d forgotten an entire chunk of his childhood. You could go so far as to say that this was all because he felt like he was forgetting something… and maybe that something was that he was in his mind palace.

Maybe he’s forgotten that this isn’t reality, and the only thing that’s keeping him on edge is his intuition.

To save money while attending college in NYC, Stiles and Derek decide to rent one tiny apartment together. With one bed.

*whispers* I have no idea if any of this is realistic. Don’t judge me.

You guys know by now that practically everything I write is so so fluffy, but this is just like, a whole other level. A little over 4k words of enemies-to-lovers, bed-sharing, & cuddling. ;)

The thing is, Stiles is pretty sure he can’t afford to breathe the air in New York City, let alone rent an apartment there. But it’s also been his lifelong dream to go to NYU, same as his mom, and he’s just gotten his acceptance letter in the mail along with a hefty scholarship offer. So he has a bit of a conundrum on his hands.

Enter Derek, who has a (relatively) dirt cheap apartment in Queens.

Okay, so Derek calls it an “apartment.” Stiles calls it an “attic closet.”

It’s nothing but a narrow bed, a foot or so of walking space between that and the wall, and a lone shelf by the door to hold the microwave and all of Derek’s possessions that can’t fit under the bed. There’s not even enough room to open the door all the way; the edge of the door hits the edge of the bed, and then you have to shimmy into the room.

The sad thing is that Stiles can’t even afford that.

He can, however, afford half of it.

“So you’re going to share a bed,” Scott says, looking concerned.

“Yes,” Stiles says.

“No,” Derek says at the same time.

Scott looks more concerned.

Stiles sighs. “Okay, so it’s like this. Derek’s going to be doing the whole normal person schedule, up at the buttcrack of dawn” (Derek rolls his eyes) “and out working and studying and stuff all day and back in bed asleep by 11 pm, and I’m going to be taking all evening classes and working the night shift!”

“We won’t actually ever be in the same place at the same time,” Derek clarifies. “He gets it during the day; I get it at night.”

“Because we can’t stand each other,” Stiles adds, in case Scott is thinking of getting his hopes up that this whole roommates thing is going to be some kind of bromance.
