I've seen that you also like Brooklyn99, and i was wandering if you ever have doodled something. I like your style so much, but i had a break from tumblr for two years so i don't remember if you ever did something about the series. :)

Aw thanks! I do really love the show and the characters but I haven’t done any art for it, no. I should really fix that.

Here’s a little Holt doodle

“It was a joy from beginning to end. He’s very easy to get along with and the audition sort of said it all. He came in the room and by the time he left I said, ‘He made me raise my game. I want to work with him.’” - Benedict Cumberbatch talks Martin Freeman (x)

My favourite things that happened in “A Series of Unfortunate Events”
  • Beatrice wrote Lemony 200 pages BY HAND just to friendzone him
  • Aunt Josephine wrestled an alligator with her bare hands and won
  • Monty has a crocodile in his house. Not in a cage or anything, just… chilling on the floor. He lets children play in the room where he keeps the crocodile
  • Monty and Baudelaires’ idea of having a good time was to lock themselves up in the piano
  • “Anxious Clown” restaurant and the waiter looks like an anxious clown (honestly? same)
  • “In this economy children are lucky to have job at all”

yuuri has grown so much as a person!!!

i’m not going to do a long, detailed analysis on this cos i’m sure there is much to be said, but i do just want to talk abt this brief scene which was actually my favourite part of ep 11.

so after JJ flubs his final jump, we see yuuri having this little internal monologue:

(pls excuse JJ looking funny here LOL)

can we please talk about how yuuri is finally giving himself credit for being among the top 6 skaters???

we know that this isn’t the first time he has qualified for the grand prix final, but it’s pretty evident from the rest of this series that until recently, he had been preoccupied with just his failures as opposed to accomplishments throughout his ice skating career.

and this is extremely significant because in all those flashbacks to the previous year’s GPF, yuuri saw himself failing all his jumps and we can tell he likely felt a certain degree of shame over it which then affected his confidence.

this time, yuuri failed to land a jump again. even though he performed much better than the last year, failing to land only one jump, it’s still obvious how much it bothered him from the way he reacted after his performance.

(don’t u just want to hug this poor baby? ;-;)

yet, moments later the same episode, we see that yuuri has managed to pick himself back up. he sees another skater failing his jumps and for a moment sees himself in him, before realising that it’s not quite the same. JJ had been taking risks which yuuri never had the confidence to do so before.

here, yuuri also realises that he now has the confidence to take risks and gives himself credit for doing so. on top of that, he also finally manages to see that he has accomplished something - “after all, i’ve managed to become one of the final six”!

being with viktor the past 8 months has seriously helped this boy immensely with not just building self-confidence, but also accepting himself. i cannot begin to emphasise how incredibly important this is, because while being confident feels good, self-acceptance reflects an ability to pick himself back up and dust himself off even if he hasn’t managed to succeed.

before, yuuri would have shied away and agonised over his failures. but this time, he’s confronting them, accepting them. i am honestly just so damned proud of this man and how far he’s come since his last GPF.

(s/n: i intend to make another post abt how viktor helped yuuri accept himself and his mistakes/failures by examining the parallels between ep 5 and ep 7, so stay tuned!)

Hi, Mary Watson was a well rounded, compelling character and if you’re celebrating her death because she got in the way of your favourite ship that’s fine. It’s your blog. I’ll be unfollowing, but no one agrees on everything and I hope you enjoy the rest of the series!

On my blog, I’m going to be celebrating a believable female villain who wasn’t sexualized to the point of caricature, with a fascinating story to tell. Mary did terrible things, and was a terrible person. She had a rich history, and was an important part of the show. She was special, she was important, she was witty and engaging, and we should all be beyond the point of resenting female villains, because we all know damn well that Moriarty is a fan favourite and he was a murderous psychopath who made an attempt on Sherlock’s life too. Anyway! Mary Watson was wonderful and I’m going to miss her.

Patronus part 2

Ok, on the topic of Snape’s patronus…

If we accept that:

  1. Lily’s patronus was a doe
  2. Lily used her patronus to communicate with other Order members so her friends knew her patronus’ form
  3. Snape’s patronus had transformed into being an emulation of Lily’s doe - at least by the time that Harry went to school

…then my FAVOURITE part of the Harry Potter series is this comment from Dumbledore in Order of the Phoenix:

“You see, when you gave Professor Snape that cryptic warning, he realized that you had had a vision of Sirius trapped in the bowels of the Department of Mysteries. He, like you, attempted to contact Sirius at once. I should explain that members of the Order of the Phoenix have more reliable methods of communicating than the fire in Dolores Umbridge’s office. Professor Snape found that Sirius was alive and safe in Grimmauld Place.”

…because all I can imagine is Sirius’ face when Lily’s doe bounds into Grimmauld Place…

Lily’s doe.

She’s been dead for over a decade, and yet her doe is standing before him.

And if that wasn’t a shock enough, then suddenly, Snape’s silky voice asks, “Are you safely at Grimmauld Place, Black?”
