he's like my favorite character to draw

(SPOILERS! sort of? just being careful.)

I had to draw this out - it is undoubtedly one of my most favorite scenes out of the movie. I was so impressed by Chris Pine during this moment because his acting was so convincing. I liked his take on Steve Trevor throughout but he really clicked as a character for me here. I thought these lines were beautifully written, and his delivery was so perfect that it really stuck with me while I was leaving the theater. I feel like this moment alone is a beautiful example of their relationship.

I live! And finally found a little free time now that the first Sybal Heim comic is done! And I decided to use my free time last night to finally draw my favorite Wizard Rowdy Boy- Taako!
For those of you who don’t know, I am a big fan of the Adventure Zone, and the Mcelroy bros in general, and I’d been wanting to take a stab at drawing a couple of the TAZ characters. And since Taako is my favorite, he gets to go first! If I get a little more time for these, I think I’d actually like to do Angus next.

When you’re trying to make your ex-best friend not think about things like you betraying your friends and hurting their feelings but he’s too smart for that shit

This is a line from my favorite book Grasshopper Jungle which is the funniest and the most fucked up thing you will ever read. Also the main character reminds me of Jeremy because he is horny 100% of the time and doesn’t deserve his best friend

mentioning his height is probably like a taboo in the house

yeah if you haven’t noticed before, the age differences in this au are slightly different from canon. I wanted the kids to be closer in age so I made the gap smaller (I mean Wendy is like, what, 6,7 years younger than Natsu and Gajeel? Yeah, I just didn’t want to make them teenagers here I guess)

alternative title for this post: everyone bullies Sting

My favorite Kylos you draw are possessive and flustered. the first one b/c it seems like it fits his character and the second one b/c he's just so cute. Rey is usually doing something to make him flustered too which is also cute.

Aaaaaaahh! Thank you!

You also made me realize that i never drew both together at the same time, so here is a possesive flustered kylo

Beauty and the Beast Post-Curse headcanons

In the past week, after seeing the new live action Beauty and the Beast (twice thus far. Still jonesing for a third viewing) the movie has taken up a permanent residence in the back of my mind, thus creating many a headcanon to frolic about in the space betwixt my ears. I personally enjoy reading other people’s headcanons so here are a few post-curse headcanons of mine, organized by character…

Belle
- Belle uses the library to start a school for the village children, bringing the village’s literacy rate higher than anywhere else in the country. The children often give her drawings and short stories they’ve written which she displays prominently.
- One of her favorite things is watching Adam interact with children. He was a bit concerned at first that they wouldn’t like him, but it turns out he is great with them! She’s had to enact a “no piggyback rides in the library” rule.
- She and Père Robert start a book club.
 - She is almost constantly tinkering with ideas and inventing things to make things easier around the castle. Washing machines, kitchen gadgets, carts with built in book shelves, and so on and so forth. Adam is more than happy to provide her with anything she could possibly need and often watches her work, helping when he can, but mostly just admiring her mind at work.

Prince Adam
- Now that he is considerably less hairy (and over all less beastly in terms of body mass) he gets cold easily. (Mostly at night or in the early morning since early post-curse is summer.) He can often be found in the library by the fire and occasionally making his way through the castle wrapped in a sort of mobile cocoon of blankets.
-Since the curse has been lifted he is trying to encourage a lighthearted atmosphere around the castle, attempting to undo the “when I enter a room, laughter dies” reputation. This ends up manifesting itself in quippy remarks and the occasional pun (much to the surprise of the staff at first) and ultimately learning to laugh at himself more.
- He finds himself gravitating to Belle. Absentmindedly taking her hand in his whenever she is close by. Reading over her shoulder from time to time. Overall just preferring to be near her. She makes him feel safe. Yes, this is real. The curse is broken. She really does love him.
-Having Phillipe around has proven very therapeutic for him. He goes for walks around the grounds with Phillipe and talks with him, pampering him with lots of apples for being such a good listener.
-He waits a while to propose to Belle, but he keeps his mother’s wedding ring on his person pretty much from the start of their post-curse days. He just didn’t want to make Belle feel rushed.

Lumière
- After years of having no taste buds,  Lumière has become a foodie. He relishes being able to savor the simplest ingredients, often enticing Plumette to try whatever he is most excited about at the time. “Plumette, you must try these strawberries! They are positively exquisite!”
-He often forgets that he can no longer produce a source of light at will, and can often be heard muttering as he stubs his toe in the dark.
-When Belle and Adam do get married, he is Adam’s best man and delivers the greatest speech. Lots of laughs. Even more happy tears.

Plumette
-Plumette maintains a feather-like touch and learns how to paint from Maurice. Her landscapes become famous for her delicate brushwork.
-She has never lost an argument with Lumière. Any time he is being stubborn on a point of disagreement, she tickles him until he is willing to talk things out.

Cadenza and Garderobe
-After their long curse induced separation, Cadenza and Garderobe take a second honeymoon and are nearly inseparable.

Mrs. Potts and family(plus LeFou)
- Mr. Potts ends up moving into the castle and commuting to the village for work. Any time he has to leave he takes a moment to hug Mrs. Potts and Chip, studying their faces with a smile so that he never forgets again.
-Mrs. Potts and LeFou end up becoming good friends. She gives LeFou motherly advice and Chip ends up looking up to him like a big brother.
-LeFou makes sure to encourage Chip to follow his heart, be self assured (but remain humble) and to have the courage to stand up for himself, even if it means standing up to a friend.

Despite creating a huge multimillion dollar franchise, I don’t think JKR should be faulted as heavily for lack of racial diversity in Harry Potter as say, the Marvel execs or other Hollywood producers. Real talk, if I was 25 in 1990, and I was living in a county that was over 90% white english (check wikipedia), I probably wouldn’t have had to foresight to make one of my main characters a POC either. Ironically, as a child who read every book she could get her hands on, I remember thinking there was a lot more diversity than I was accustomed to in the books I read. I wanted to be beautiful like Cho Chang, I wanted to wear a butterfly in my hair like Parvati did, and Dean was one of my favorite characters because he liked soccer and liked to draw, like I did. I dont remember reading anything with as many interracial relationships as HP did. And what was cool was, they weren’t a big deal. She was able to normalize the races and sexes being equal, while still have equality/bigotry as a theme. Kingsley Shacklebolt becoming Minister for Magic is nbd. Pottermore says there was a female Prime Minister like, 170 years before there was a Muggleborn one. It’s true that it would’ve been great if there were bigger parts for POCs, and it’s a shame that the parts that were there were watered down in the films. But point is, before you criticize, remember where she came from. She had this idea 25 years ago; she didn’t know how many people this would reach, so I think she did fairly well, considering. Hermione may have been white, but she was a huge role model for me. A plain girl with bushy brown hair and buck teeth who liked to read too much- no where else could I find a character like that. It would’ve been fairly easy to make Hermione a beautiful self insert, but she didn’t. Additionally, her followup works have had wonderful POC characters, so it might be fair to say she’s more socially conscious now than she was at 25. Check them out. Lula Landry rules.

How do you draw hands? Like I think i did it once years many years ago but I can't seem to figure it out. Don't worry if you don't get to this request I don't mind ^~^ You're art is super cool amazing and I love it <3

Thank you so much!!  <3

I’ve studied lots of tutorials and videos, so definitely look for those and draw alongside the videos whenever possible.

Also, back when I was in high school and college, to keep myself awake I’d doodle a lot.  I’d end up drawing my left hand because it was just right there.  As a result, there were a lot of drawings of my left hand all over my notes.  XD  Anyway, I got quite a bit of of practice that way.

Here’s a hand tutorial by Kienan Lafferty, one of my favorite tutorial guys on YouTube because he talks in a very basic way without sounding like he’s talking down to you.

Here’s a quick gif I made of my own process.  I usually start with the basic shape of the palm and work my way outwards.  I use a reference if needed.  I’m still far from perfect but I make it a point to not try to hide hands behind objects or behind characters’ backs to force myself to learn to draw them better.

Happy Birthday to my favorite petit Mafioso, Chuuya~ (*≧∇≦)ノ<※*・:*:`♪ I don’t drink but I’m knocking back a glass of grape juice for you, buddy~ 🍷

Did you know? The real Nakahara Chuuya was born in 1907 so this would have been his 110th birthday! 🎩💖📖

Super old BnHa fanart I drew last summer. I decided to clean some up because I caught up with the manga today. It’s one of my favorite series!

One of my favorite character designs and version of a character 10/10. I saw the Lego Batman Movie and even though I didn’t like it as much as the Lego Movie, it was still super cute and I really recommend it! One of my favorite things about the movie was their take on the Joker.

Now, I haven’t read any of the DC comics with him, but given my disappointment with the Edgy ™ Joker in Suicide Squad I LOVED seeing this genuinely funny, evil goofball on the big screen. He’s everything people generally seem to like about the Joker but a more light-hearted take on it, which seems actually kind of strange given how horrible (like bad guy, not a bad character) he is in everything else.

Plus his design was super fun to draw too! The only outfit of his that matters is the vest w/ yellow sleeves and no one can tell me otherwise. I just wish they made Harley Quinn’s a little simpler (too much detail for too little color difference, you know what I mean?)

I’ll probably draw more of him in the future, but for no I hope you enjoy!

YEAH so a couple of you actually wanted to see that god-awful ancient piece of fanart I did when I first watched death note and holy hell this single drawing has somehow survived in my archives since god knows when and it still haunts me. i was probably in my mid teens when I drew that atrocity.

there are so many things I hate about the old drawing. i want to set it on fire and never look back [there is a phsyical copy of the sketch somewhere, it was coloured digitally].

the context to the whole “teams” thing is when I first watched it, I immediately decided that matt was my favorite character. sure he didn’t make an appearance until later on, but something about his outfit was just so appealing. now unfortunately I could never remember his name [he appeared for like, five seconds and this was wayyy before I read the manga] so for an entire year I went around calling him “that guy”. also my gf [at the time] and her cousin decided that their teams were L and Light respectively and I wasn’t interested in being part of any of that.

SO, tl;dr: to all you young or otherwise inexperienced artists out there - take this as some form of inspiration. you will eventually get better. it’s gonna take a while, and you’re gonna hate your art, but you’ll get to where you want to be if you keep drawing.
