he was and will always be my favorite character

Gotham s2e17: Oswald Cobblepot mourns the loss of his father.

Robin Lord Taylor’s father died, in real life, during the filming of the episode prior to this one.

“"So that scene where Paul died, my actual dad died and we kept shooting that day anyways,“ he explained. "So I was acting my actual reality. So production asked what I wanted to do and it was Paul’s last day. My mom was with my sister and I couldn’t make it to Iowa, and it was a strange confluence of events where your reality is what your character is going through. There were some scenes that were actually happening in my real life. It was my favorite and will always be my favorite episode. Although I will never watch it.” -Robin Lord Taylor

aunt may and peter talking - definitely one of my favorite scenes already. like peter is not just sitting there and looking down or somewhere else. he's sitting there, looking into her eyes and actually listening every word she says. i feel like in movies we see so many times how the main character/hero like him gets uncomfortable when someone says words like that to them and try to look elsewhere but not peter. ugh idk i just love it so much.

it’s like you looked into my heart and said everything i’m feeling about peter and may 😩 but yeah, they’ve always had a very beautiful relationship and peter adores her (there are times in the comics where he’ll call her ‘mom’ or refer to her as his mother and i melt each time) and she adores peter, and they would truly do anything for each other.

i hope we see a lot of their relationship in the film and that it isn’t put on the back burner, bc aunt may is a massive part of peter’s life, he loves her with all his heart, and i hope we see some moments between them to show that. tom said there’s a nice scene where they’re eating at a thai restaurant, i’m excited to see that.

but yeah with that scene it looks to me like what’s gonna happen is the ferry will be split in half, tony will take away the suit, peter won’t have anything to wear so he’ll have to steal those pajamas from a laundromat, and he’ll come home and tell aunt may that he’s had a bad day and he’ll be devastated. and may will tell him how good he is, there will likely be references to uncle ben, she’ll make him feel a bit better and comfort him and the entire time peter will be looking @ her like his aunt hangs the stars in the sky bc to peter she does

Werewolf!Todd and Vampire!Dirk

So I imagine these two meeting almost exactly the same as the werewolf and vampire main characters in one of my favorite books.

Essentially, when Todd becomes a werewolf he just kind of *assumes* that this means that he has to go around killing and eating human beings once he turns, despite the fact that he’s almost entirely lucid after he turns.

He doesn’t enjoy it, but he’d always operated off of the idea that werewolves are just naturally bloodthirsty monsters and cannibals, and there must be something wrong with him because god damn raw human flesh just does not taste good.

So he’s just finished killing an unsuspecting human, and he’s munching on this guy’s intestines–which taste absolutely horrible. The guy is kinda cute but Todd didn’t manage to notice that until after he killed him.

Todd is just about to walk away when this corpse that he’d previously been eating fuckin gets up and starts gathering his intestines back into his stomach.

turns out Dirk is one of those really ancient vampires (although you can’t really tell it from looking at him; he looks youthful and almost hipster-ish). He helps explain to Todd what it’s really like to be a semi-human monster and to settle into his new life (he mentions that he knows so much about werewolves because he once dated one for a couple centuries, leaving Todd constantly wondering about the circumstances of this relationship).

And so the two of them kind of accidentally become travelling companions and eventually detectives once Todd discovers Dirk’s long-buried ~intuitions~, which he had even before he became a vampire.

Lol my boyfriend gets so upset every time Rita's in an episode because I gush about how cute and sly she is! I'm like embarrassing in love with her. When she appears I get a devilish grin and he groans "No! NOT HER!" He always goes on some rant "MELINDA, OLIVIA, ALEXANDRA, AMANDA, RITA! I CAN'T COMPETE WITH THESE WOMEN!" And I go " Would you rather me talk about Sonny, Barba, Fin, Elliot, Brian, Nick, O'Halloran, Huang, Dodds... 😏" He just sighs and whispers "i guess she's cute..." Poor boy 😁

Hahaha yes, I know that feel! There are so many amazing women on the show.

With that said, Rita is probably one of my most favorite SVU characters ever.

Reasons to watch the LEGO Batman Movie
  • It’s so meta. Batman narrates through the opening logos and they show clips from the other adaptations of Batman and talk about how Joker and Batman have been fighting for 78 years. My personal favorite is when Alfred calls Batman out for all the Brooding™ he’s done since 1966.
  • It’s freaking hilarious. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s the funniest movie I’ve seen in years. The jokes always hit the mark and even just how the characters act are enough to get huge laughs.
  • The characters. Batman is of course amazing but there’s also Robin who’s a literal ray of sunshine, Alfred who is the coolest butler ever and so much more, one of the best adaptations of Joker, and Barbara Gordon who is such a competent leader and fighter and so amazing in general.
  • Batman’s and Joker’s relationship. Having Joker portrayed as wanting validation from Batman that he is his greatest enemy but Batman not reciprocating those feelings creates one of the funniest, most amazing hero-villian dynamics ever to be put to film.
  • It’s actually emotional. Amongst all the hilarity and action scenes the movie does take time to address the concepts of loneliness, confronting one’s fears, if you are really a good person or not (or if you’re in between), and the nature of family. It gives so much depth to Batman that is hardly seen in other adaptations and that’s what makes it so great.
Things my boyfriend does while playing Final Fantasy XV

• He takes time to find and say good morning to Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio.

• No matter what Prompto asks for, it’s always a YES.

• Before he says good morning to Prompto, he sneaks up and takes a pretty picture of the chocobro.

• He uses the chocobos alot more than the Regalia.

• No matter what, he won’t let anyone die in battles. (Mostly Prompto)

• When one of the characters complain about the temperature of the area, my boyfriend changes all of the others clothes as well.

• whenever Noct is in his king outfit, the others have to match him.

• when one of the boys get incredibly injured, he will choose their favorite food at camp to make that character feel better.

• after a very long and intense mission or hunt, he will take them out to eat as a reward. (Or as a sorry for getting them hurt)

• he panics when Prompto gets harmed.

• he laughs when the boys say something funny to one another in battle.

• when it comes to fishing, He hands me the controller cause he doesn’t have the patience for it.

•Gladio: “I’ve got a date with a cup of noodles!”
BF: -has Ignis make the cup of noodles to not let him down.-

favourite the vampire diaries characters: kai parker
I guess I liked my brother, Joey. We played Dr. Mario together and he’d always win. Actually, one of my favorite memories is when I finally beat him. Of course, my favorite memory is when I finally beat him to death. You don’t have to waste your energy trying to change me. If Ricki taught me anything, it’s that liking yourself is the most important thing. And I like me.

My favorite thing about Aku aside from all of the obvious stuff is that he always had sound effects. Whenever he moved you always heard the sound of cracking wood, even if it was just a tiny hand movement. And on any close ups of his face you could hear fire crackling because his eyebrows were literally made of fire. It was so neat to just hear all these sounds whenever he was on screen, it really added to his character.

Moffat’s favorite writer used “Redbeard” as a random plot device 20 years ago.

Ready for a little background that will blow your mind? @squirrelwithoutparentingskills dropped by my inbox just now to share some juicy information.

One of Moffat’s favorite screenwriters is William Goldman. He wrote The Princess Bride. Moffat always tells you to read Goldman if you want to learn anything about writing.

Well, in 1996 William Goldman adapted a book called “The Ghost and the Darkness” into a movie.

And in this story, he had a little problem. He needed to make the hero seem brave. He needed a way to boost esteem of that main character.

So he invented a side character and called him “Redbeard”.

Redbeard was to be killed off – he was a plot device.

What I’m saying is Moffat’s favorite writer took a book and turned it into a screenplay but added a character called Redbeard that wasn’t in the originals in order to teach the audience more about the hero.

Also the story is set in the late 1800s with a focus on trains.

Neat. isn’t it?

a few thoughts as I finish crooked kingdom:
  • they’re all like. seventeen. I’m seventeen.
  •  I’m still getting over the fact that kaz walked into a fight expecting to probably die but he won
  • also kaz pet a dog with his own hand!?!? I can’t even picture tgis omg
  • I really, really hate jan van eck
  • all my children deserved better
  • how are they all so eloquent and manipulative someone teach me
  • kaz my child stop repressing your feelings they’re not going to just go away if you don’t ever address them
  • what mATTHIAS NO
    • I will not get over this for a very long time leigh what have you done
  • kaz is so ruthless and brutal and awful but I really really like him?? why are my favorite characters always the morally questionable assholes

went into a skirmish as widow and there was a genji that would take me to “romantic” spots and sit with me. he put up with my awful shenanigans with a language barrier and totally made my night. he told me his favorite character was mccree and i saw he was using the mystery man so here’s to you, friend. i will never forget our dates that were always crashed by someone else.

Hugh and Bryan agree that Will can never be completely cleansed of his empathy because it’s part of what makes him so compelling as a character and part of his innate foundation; Hannibal could never turn Will into someone completely devoid of it and even if he tried it could never last for long [which makes me really happy because I also agree and it’s one of my favorite parts of their relationship. But anyway].

And double check this one but if I’m not wrong Bryan finished that off with “Hannibal will always have to fight for Will” *cue loud aww’s from the audience*

How much does my little brother love Agent Kallus?

A whole fucking lot, it would surprisingly seem. Here are a couple of his comments from the finale relating to our favorite character.

Him: “He looks really cute with his hair like that.”

Me: *silence*

Me: “Oh, no, you’re not the only one.”

“Awww, baby no! It’s not your fault! Thrawn’s just an ass!”

“I wish it were possible to give fictional characters a hug because he looks so scared and I just- hnnnngh!”

And, my personal favorite:

“That smirk just added about fifteen years to my life.”

I: Favorite all time character from the original trilogy of Star Wars films?
D: If I have to chose one, and I think he chose me, it’s Darth. It’s like he appears in my nightmares, he’s there always.
R: And in your dreams!
D: I went to the set one day when Gareth was doing a test and I started listening to [Darth Vader noises] and, literally, I became six years old and freezed. I was like [obscenities]! I don’t feel that with anyone or anything.
R: Not even with me?
D: Not even with you. I mean, and our thing is special, but that is here. I’m sorry. I accepted it, I feel much better. Darth Vader!
