It wasn’t rough enough to make you feel like tiny gremlins were stabbing you in the abdomen and back and some other little devil was pumping air into your stomach and making it swell like a balloon.

On the bright side, at least you weren’t pregnant.

Winchesters in Riverdale (Part Ten/Finale)

After a hunt gone wrong, Y/N Winchester, the 17 year old half-sister of Sam and Dean Winchester, her older brothers, and Castiel are transported to Riverdale, a town in a different universe. While Sam, Dean, and Castiel attempt to find a way back home, Y/N struggles to fit in in the community of Riverdale. In a universe with no monsters to worry about, there’s so many questions that need answering.

Can she ever try to be normal after hunting for all of her life? Who’s the good-looking, mystical teen with the beanie who’s always at that diner? And will anyone discover that secret she’s been hiding for the last year and a half?

Masterlist for the other parts of this story

There was comfortable silence between you and Jughead as the two of you walked hand in hand together down the street. Your feet were cold on the gravel, your heels forgotten and swinging from your free hand. You didn’t know where you were going but you didn’t care. The dance was forgotten about although you could still hear the faint music. You were with Jughead. That was the only thing that mattered. Every now and then you would sneak a peek at the raven-haired teen. You tried to memorize the way the moonlight bounced off him. The way he smiled at you when he thought you weren’t looking. Everything.

Suddenly, Jughead stopped and turned to look at you.

“Okay, close your eyes.” he said.

You rose your eyebrows at him and he rolled his eyes.

“Trust me.” he said, smiling.

You sighed but closed your eyes nonetheless.

“Making me the next Jason Blossom?” you joked.

Jughead snorted.

He began to lead you off the gravel road and soon enough your feet felt the hard ground turn to grass.

“Over here.” Jughead said.

Eventually he stopped.

“Can I open my eyes now?” you asked.

“Not yet. Take a seat first,”

You sighed again and sat down, putting your shoes next to you. You heard Jughead sit next to you and felt his warm palms on your shoulders.

“Okay,” he said quietly. “Open them,”

You opened your eyes.

As you looked around, you saw that the two of you were in the middle of the park, surrounded by swing sets and jungle gyms and money bars.

You looked up and your mouth dropped open.

The sky, which had previously been covered by trees as you walked in the street had opened up, revealing the beautiful night sky. The full moon shone brightly and there were millions upon million of stars to be seen.

“Not bad, huh?” Jughead asked as he removed his hands from your shoulders.

You looked at the beaming boy whose face was inches away from yours.

“It’s beautiful.” you said.

Jughead smiled shyly before he leaned in, kissing you softly. You smiled into the kiss as your arms wrapped around Jughead’s arm, your fingers running over the few black locks of hair resting on Jughead’s neck that had escaped from his beanie. He stopped kissing you when a sudden gust of wind hit your bare arms making you shiver. Jughead frowned as he looked at you.

“Are you cold?” he asked.

You shook your head.

“No, I’m fine,” you said. “It’s just—”

You were cut off when you saw Jughead quickly taking his jacket off, draping it over your shoulders.

You smiled as him as you pulled the warm fabric closer to you.

“Thank you.” you mumbled.

Jughead smirked and draped his arm around you. The two of you lied down and you snuggled into the younger teen’s warm chest, Jughead’s arm pulling you closer to him. The two of you looked up at the night sky, looking up at the sky.

You didn’t know how long you laid there for before Jughead spoke again.

“What’s her name?” Jughead asked suddenly.

Your eyes widened as you looked up at him. Jughead looked panicked.

“I, uh, I-I didn’t mean to say that out loud,” he rambled, convinced he had ruined everything. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have said—”

To his surprise, you giggled, cutting him off.

You changed your position so you were facing him, your elbow supporting your head as you rested it on your fist. Jughead mimicked your position, watching you warily.

“It’s okay,” you said. “After what you said to me earlier, um, I feel like it’s easier to talk about. Still hard, yeah. But it’s easier,” you said.

Jughead nodded.

“Her name is Lily,” you said. “Her father… he used to get me flowers. Almost everyday. He’d go outside and pick a whole bunch of them for me. They were lilies. He, um, passed away before Lily was born and I guess I just wanted to find a way to connect her name to him. Even if she would never know who he was. Or who I am for that matter.”

Jughead’s eyes widened.

“I-I’m sorry,” he said again. “I didn’t know he died.”

You smiled softly at him.

“It’s okay,” you said quietly. “It’s… been a while. The ache never really goes away but I’m making my way. One day at a time.”

Jughead nodded again.

“Do your brothers—”

“No,” you said, shaking your head. “They don’t know about Lily. Castiel, you know, the one always wearing that trench coat; he knows. He helped me run away and kept me hidden unless Lily was born.”

Jughead’s eyes widened.

““Hidden?”” he repeated. “From what?”

You sighed.

“It doesn’t matter.”

“Yes, Y/N, it does,” Jughead said. “Are you in danger?”

You sighed, tried to figuring out a way to phrase your job.

Hey, Jughead, I kinda sorta kill monsters for a living, and I’ve occasionally fought the Devil himself. No big deal. Oh, and my dead boyfriend was killed by a rogue angel using my brother’s body as a vessel.

You shook your head again.

“No,” you said.

Not immediate danger.

“I told you how I had kind of a weird job, right?”

Jughead nodded.

“Well… sometimes that job’s dangerous,”

Sometimes? Try all the time.

“There are thi— people out there who want to hurt me,” you corrected yourself. “But it’s okay. It’s part of the job. Besides, my brothers have my back. So does Castiel.”

“Jughead, please don’t worry,” you nearly begged. “I’m okay, alright?”

Jughead looked like he wanted to say more. And he did. He wanted to beg you to tell him everything. To stay with him and Archie so they could protect you from whatever wanted to hurt you. But as he looked into your pleading eyes, he melted and couldn’t say anything else.

“Okay.” he said hoarsely.

You let out a sigh of relief once you realized Jughead wasn’t going to press you further. The two of you lied back down and you snuggled back into Jughead’s chest, closing your eyes. The silence returned but Jughead felt tense under you. Like he wanted to say something else.

“You’re leaving, aren’t you?” he suddenly asked softly.

You froze in his arms, eyes opening as you looked at his sad expression.

“I, uh, saw your brothers in Pop’s the other day. I, um, decided to eavesdrop a little bit. Thought I could maybe find out how you were doing. Instead I heard them talking about going home or something.” he said.

You swallowed the lump in your throat and nodded slowly.

“Yeah,” you said quietly. “We leave tomorrow.”

You heard Jughead give a defeated exhale.

“W-Will I ever see you again? I can still text you, right?” he asked weakly.

Tears welled up in your eyes as you slowly shook your head.

“I—Jughead, I wish. It won’t—It can’t—” you stopped before you began to cry.

You would never see Jughead again. He wouldn’t be able to contact you. Texting someone from a different universe? It was impossible.

“If you don’t want to see me—”

“No!” you exclaimed. “Jughead, I…”

You felt tears rolling down your face.

“I-I love you,” you said.

Jughead’s eyes widened at your confession.

“I love you,” you said again. “I never thought I could love someone the way I love you again. I don’t want to leave. But it’s my home. Everything I know is there. Family, friends, my life. And I can’t just leave it. I-I need you to understand that.”

Jughead was silent as he contemplated your words. and you got more and more nervous as the silence stretched on and on.

What if this was it? What if he just got up and left? What if he didn’t understand? What if he decided—

Jughead’s lips crashing against yours snapped you out of your thoughts. The freshly fallen tears on his cheeks mixed with yours and you could taste salt. You immediately kissed him back roughly, your teeth clacking together. But neither of you cared. When you pulled away for air, you were filled with relief when you saw Jughead smiling softly at you despite the tears in his eyes.

“I love you, too.” he said.

There were no more words to be spoken. He understood.

“Just… do me a favor, okay?” Jughead asked.

You nodded as you turned around to face the teen.

Jughead had walked you all the way back to the motel. He offered to get the car and drive you home but you declined. The more time you could spend with Jughead the better. You had walked hand in hand the entire way back. You talked about your favorite moments together, teasing each other with your little inside jokes, and had even stopped for a quick milkshake at Pop’s. One last time.

“Of course.”

Jughead sighed.

“Tell your brothers. About Lily,”

Your opened your mouth to protest but you were cut off by Jughead again.

“Please,” he said. “You’ll feel a lot better. And I know they’ll listen to you and help you out. I’ve seen the way they look at you. They look terrified. Like they think you’re gonna leave again without any warning. Y/N, I don’t think they’ll be able to handle that again.”

You let out a shaky sigh.

“Just talk to them. Please?” Jughead asked.

You nodded.

“Okay,” you said. “When we get home, I’ll talk to them.”

Jughead let out a sigh of relief.

“Thank you.” he whispered.

You gave a small smile to the teen.

“I, um,” you began, unsure of what to say. “I guess I’ll see you around, Mr. Jones.”

Jughead smirked as he took a step closer to you.

“I’ll see you around, Ms. Winchester.” he said softly.

He dipped down, capturing your lips in one last passionate kiss. You kissed back with just as much fervor, neither of you wanting this moment to end. When you finally pulled away, the two of you looked at each other sadly. Jughead began to back away, eyes never leaving yours.

“Goodbye.” he said softly.

Tears welled in your eyes again.

“Bye.” you said back, watching him as he turned around, beginning the walk back to the school.

You closed the door, back sliding down on it. You dropped your shoes next to you and looked at the clock.

You needed to get to bed. You had to be up bright and early tomorrow. Willing yourself not to cry again, you took a deep breath again and got under your covers, not caring you were still wearing your dress or makeup.

The next day. 12 pm.

Jughead Jones sat at his usual booth at Pop’s, staring at his computer. No matter how hard he tried to concentrate, he could seem to get any words out. He looked down at his phone, debating about what he should do. You were gone. He had tried to visit your motel room around noon only to find everything gone. There was no trace of you or the others. You had just… disappeared. It was like you were never there.

Eventually deciding he had nothing to lose, he typed a quick message to you before sending it out, taking a deep breath.

A guy could try, right?

Across a million billion trillion universes, you settled into one of the chairs in the Bunker, smirking at Dean as he strutted around the main area.

“Ah, it’s good to be back!” Dean exclaimed as he took a swig of beer.

Sam chuckled while Castiel just looked at the eldest Winchester blankly.

After transporting back to your universe, the four of you were now back home after you finally killed the witch who transported you there. You wished that your brothers wouldn’t have to kill her but once you found out she was terrorizing the rest of the town and killing more and more people, you had to put a stop to it.

Your phone’s screen lighting up made you look down at it.

(1) New message from Mr. Jones

Your heartbeat quickened.

Could it be?

You reached for the phone before you stopped yourself. Despite the fact that you were dying to, you didn’t dare open the message. Not yet. Jughead’s words from the night before resonated in your head and you took a deep breath. You had something to do first.

“Hey, guys?” you asked.

The three men turned to you.

“I, um, I have something to tell you.”

Chuck smiled as he watched you and Jughead each in your respective universes.

“Father…” an angel beside him began. “Pardon me for questioning you, but why have you allowed contact via technology between the Winchester girl and Jones boy? They live in different universes. How will they ever see each other again?”

Chuck’s smile didn’t falter.

“They’ll find a way. It’s what Winchesters and Joneses do.”

A/N: That’s it! I hope you guys enjoyed it!! I originally was going to have a much more angsty ending, but I just couldn’t do it (and I love writing angst!)

Pairing: Sam x Reader

Summary: The reader finds out that she’s pregnant and has to find a way to tell Sam.

Warnings: Unplanned pregnancy. Brief mention of depression (like, literally one sentence). Angst. I think that’s all, but forgive me if it’s not.

A/N: Yes, I know that this is quite a common trope, but I just couldn’t help myself :) Enjoy my rendition of Sam finding out that you’re pregnant!

It was hard to put into words how you had felt for the past few weeks. Extreme fatigue and nausea had been keeping you sidelined from hunting for too long now. You felt off, almost as if there was something that was completely changed within you.

Of course Sam and Dean picked up on your behavior change. After being their roommates and hunting partners for almost three years now, they were used to your normal and abnormal mannerisms. Dean never vocalized it to you, but he thought you were experiencing side effects of depression. You never ruled that out - after all of the horrors you had seen, you were sure that it was a possibility.

Sam on the other hand, was very vocal about his thoughts that you were physically sick. He had seen you at your rock-bottom worst, and he thought that this time it was different.

The relationship you had with Dean was brotherly. You teased one another, fought one another, but ultimately, loved each other unconditionally. He was family to you.

In contrast to Dean, Sam was not so brotherly. You felt a spark when you were around Sam - you had never felt so loved when Sam was around. The way he would pull you in for an embrace kiss the top of your head was more emotionally charged than just a friend would do.

About Time

Pairing: Sam x Reader

Word Count: 3,468

Warning: Some slow burn satisfying smut

A/N: I wanted a jealous Sammy and some deliciously satisfying smut, so I wrote this! It’s a slow burn, but it’s worth it. Enjoy!!!

Pushing the door to the bar open a huge smile spread across your lips. It wasn’t every day you convinced the boys to go to a college town bar over a dive bar. Tonight was all about you. A successful vampire hunt, from start to finish, had been perfectly coordinated and executed by none other than yourself and the boys were thoroughly impressed. Hopping onto a bar stool you caught the attention of a cute bartender and got everyone a shot and a drink.

“Well,” Sam held up his shot glass. “To Y/N, the girl who’s turning into quite the badass hunter.”

“Awww, thanks boys. I’ll drink to that any night.”

Slamming your shot you grabbed the boy’s glasses and nodded towards an open pool table. Dean handed you some cash as they went to grab it before it was taken. Sliding off the bar stool you started to weave through the crowds of people.

Word Count: 4400ish

A/N: This is a serial killer AU of sorts. Not the typical kind, but it has all the deaths and violence this kinda AU bring with it. It was sorta inspired by Criminal Minds and that is why my agents are profilers.

This series will have deaths, violence, love, heartwarming moments and everything in between. I am hereby warning you for yet another rollercoaster ride led by me ;)

Thanks to the amazing @percywinchester27 for being my advisor and beta on this one.

You were absently rubbing your wrist as you stared towards the house. You hadn’t wanted to leave but Sam had insisted, and Cas had practically dragged you out of there.

“Are you okay?” Cas asked, nodding towards your arm, as you looked up with a confused expression on your face.

“Yeah…” you pulled up your sleeve, showing Cas your arm with a smile, “See, no bruises. Just a little sore. That’s all.”

Cas wasn’t convinced till he had taken a good look at your arm himself, letting out a relieved sigh once he had, “I’m sorry Y/N. I should have warned you. Dean has a bit of a temper.”

“I noticed,” you replied wryly, looking back towards the house with the two Winchesters still inside. “What happened between the two of you? I mean Sam knew you, but he didn’t seem angry with you. Dean on the other hand…”

You looked up at Cas, who was no longer looking at you. His eyes rested on Dean’s cabin, but his mind seemed to be far away. “It’s a long story Y/N, and not really mine to tell,” Cas answered, making you even more curious.

You tilted your head slightly, carefully studying Cas’ expression before speaking again, “You’re friends. You are mad at him right now, but you still consider him a friend.”

Seth Rollins - Prompt #80

Prompt: “Does he know about the baby?”
Requested: by Anon
Warnings: None
Words: 1700+
y/s/n: your sons name
y/t/n: your twitter name

It had been just over 6 months since the birth of your baby boy and you were making your return to smackdown tonight. Not a lot of people even knew you were pregnant. You had injured your knee and that’s when you found out you were 9 weeks pregnant so you just told everyone that your injury left your future in jeopardy. The only people that knew were Renee, Dean, Maryse and potentially Mike if Maryse told him. They are your closest friends, Renee and Maryse even made it out to Florida for the birth.

You arrived at the arena in a blacked out car. Renee and Maryse met you in the parking lot. They quickly helped you and y/s/n into a private locker room where Dean and Mike were waiting for you. Your return was going to be a surprise. You hoped the crowd was still on a high from Wrestlemania 33 and that they remembered who you were.

“Let me see him!” Maryse cheered taking the blanket off the baby carrier to reveal your sleeping baby. “My god he is cute!”

“You better start some procreation of your own” you smirked nudging Mike

“I mean we have enough practice” He smirked back at you

“Speaking of the baby…Does he know about the baby?” Dean asked

“Way to bring down the mood Dean” Renee mumbled

“Well sorry. But he’s still my friend and I still believe you should tell him. Do you know how hard it has been to keep it from him?” Dean sighed “He asks about you a lot”

He being Seth. You boyfriend, even your fiance at one point in time. Everything had been great, you had the perfect relationship. Everyone warned you about him when you came up from NXT. He didn’t have a great record in relationships. So you played hard to get and made him chase you for an entire year before you caved and went on a date. Everyone said that you changed Seth, and for the better. He was a nicer person outside the ring and worked hard inside the ring. After two and a half years together, he asked you to marry him in front of a house show crowd. It wasn’t until a year later that everything went south for your relationship. Ideally, you would have gotten married in a matter of months but both of your schedules were hectic so it was going to be some time before you were able to get married. 2 months before your wedding your world went from the happiest it could have been to the lowest of the low. You hurt your knee and was taken to a hospital where you found out you were pregnant. Seth was on a different leg of an overseas tour and was going to be coming home in two days. You were so excited to tell him and decided to do it in person.

However, that didn’t happen.

Renee found you the day before Seth came home and showed you some photos that had surfaced online. It was Seth and a bunch of random girls that you had never seen before. They were all of him and he was grabbing them and kissing them. Your world fell around you and you told Renee about the baby. Within 24 hours, Dean, Renee, Maryse and Mike helped moved all of your stuff out of the home you and Seth shared into Dean and Renee’s house. The next day when Seth came home it was basically world war 3. A lot of yelling, a lot of crying on your side and a lot of begging on Seth’s side. He said that he was drunk and that he was sorry but you just couldn’t do it, so you left and never saw him again and never told him you were pregnant.

When the draft happened you were pregnant with only the people who needed know knew, you were drafted to smackdown with Dean, Renee, Maryse and Mike while Seth was on raw with Roman. Seth tried to meet up with you to talk but it never happened. You made sure about it. You kept your pregnancy out of the media as well so he had no idea.

“You realise next week is the superstar shake up right?” Mike said “He might get moved to smackdown or you might go to raw”

“Or both might happen and we won’t be on the same brand still and he won’t have to know” you shrugged. “Ryse will you watch y/s/n while I’m out there?”

“Of course!” Maryse beamed

“I forgot how amazing that felt!” You cheered coming back through the curtain hugging the other women in the division. None of them knew you were coming back let alone in the building so when you went out there they were all shocked.

“They loved you out there” Alexa smiled

“You didn’t miss a beat! Knee feeling okay?” Nattie asked

“Uh yeah it feels good” you smiled, if only they knew that your knee injury was fine a month after you were injured.

“So we have to go out to celebrate” Becky smiled “Not only the return of y/n but also the fact that were not all gonna be here next week”

“I would ladies but uh…I can’t. First night back and I’m really tired” you lied. It took some convincing but you were able to weasel your way out of it. You didn’t stay for the rest of the show. You took y/s/n back to the hotel, still able to keep him away from prying eyes amazingly.

That night, your son slept perfectly, yourself… not so much. You barely got any sleep. At about 3 am you decided to get on twitter and see what the world thought about your return.

@RomanReigns - She’s back! @y/t/n you killed it
@WWEEMMA - Can’t wait for this shake-up, hopefully I’ll be brought back to my girl @y/t/n
@SashaBanks - yess girl! @y/t/n

You kept scrolling through twitter when a tweet caught your eye. Seth.

@SethRollins - get to see @y/t/n back out there. She hasn’t missed a beat in nearly 2 years xx

Should you reply? You hadn’t really been keeping up with his career or life over the two year. You knew he got injured, came back and got injured again and won his match against triple h at WrestleMania but other that you didn’t know anything. You decided to leave it and turn to reality tv to help you sleep.

“Thank you, everyone for meeting with us today” Triple H said standing in front of a small group of talent that included Dean, Maryse and Mike.

“Why are we here?” You asked

“Well as you know you, the superstar shake up is this week and you guys are the ones being moved”

“Oh god” You mumbled as you looked at the raw people who were going to Smackdown. Kevin Owens, Charlotte, The New Day, Rusev, Lana, Sami Zayn, The Shining Stars, Sin Cara, Jinder Mahal and Tamina. No Seth. That meant he was staying on raw and I was going to raw. I grabbed Maryse’s hand “He’s gonna find out, I’m going to have to tell him”

“It’ll be okay” Maryse rubbed your hand “We’ll be there for you”

We had to stay for a few more moments before we were dismissed.

“Maybe it’s time he knows” Dean shrugged “I know he was a dick but y/s/n is his son too, he has a right to know”

“He wasn’t a dick, he was thinking with his dick. He doesn’t deserve anything” you hissed. That night you held y/s/n close to your chest. Your mind raced with the worst possible things that could happen when Seth found out. He could yell, he could try and take your son away from you or what you thought would be worse is that you open your mind to letting Seth be a part of your son’s life and he rejects the idea…

The next day you headed to raw with the rest of the smackdown crew. You were all being given a private locker room to share meaning they were about to find out about y/s/n. Everyone was pretty shocked. Mickie went straight into mummy mode and Alexa was all over him. They also all promised to keep the secret as well, which was nice of them.

You, Alexa and Mickie made you way back through the curtain after it was revelaved that you were on raw. You stayed in gorilla to get interviews done for wwe.com and the youtube channel. Although you wish you hadn’t because that was where you ran into Seth. You had thought when you saw Seth for the first time face to face you might have felt angry or sad or even love but you felt nothing.

“Hey y/n”

“Hey Seth” you smiled at him. If he was going to find out about y/s/n sooner or later you were at least going to be cevil with him before he found out. Your eyes widen as you heard crying and over Seth’s shoulder you saw Bray Wyatt walking towards you with your son.

“I’m so sorry y/n he won’t stop crying and Dean wasn’t there, or Mike, or Maryse and I didn’t know how to help” He said. He looked really worried as if he had done something wrong. You smiled and took y/s/n from Bray.

“It’s okay, Bray he probably just missed me. You didn’t do anything wrong” You smiled “Thank you” Bray nodded and headed off.

“W-W-Who’s this?” Seth stared at the baby in your arms

“This is y/s/n” you said biting your lip calming him down.

“Is he…is he….” he was in shock, he just couldn’t get the words out.

“Is he yours?” you asked, Seth nodded “um.. yeah he is”

“We’re so sorry y/n!” Maryse said running up with Mike and Dean “they pulled us for interviews we were gone for like 2 minuets”

“Its okay guys” you reasured them.

“They knew?” Seth asked

“Dean you knew? And didn’t tell me?”

“Look man I’m sorry. It was her choice I couldn’t go behind her back and tell you” Dean said

“I understand Mike not telling me bu you, You’re my friend…”

“And so is y/n and she is Renee’s best friend too” Dean said

“I can’t believe this” Seth shook his head “I can’t do this” and with that Seth walked away.

Coming Home to Me

On the day they met, Dean Winchester is four years old.  Emblazoned on the front of his light blue teddy T-shirt are the words I Wuv Hugz, and everyone who’s ever met Dean can verify the accuracy of this statement.

Everyone who’s ever met his new neighbor, Castiel Novak, knows the opposite is true.  It’s 1983, and though terms like Asperger’s Syndrome and touch aversion have yet to seep into public consciousness, Cas had been sure to convey his displeasure to anyone who’s ever tried to hug him without his explicit consent.

As such, both the boys’ parents watch with considerable apprehension as Dean toddles up to the newcomer, ready to bestow upon him the signature Winchester greeting.

He throws his pudgy arms around Castiel’s slight shoulders, squeezing him as tightly as his little body will allow.

Castiel’s haggard single mother, Naomi, squeezes her eyes shut and braces herself for the ear-splitting wail that is sure to follow.  To her surprise, there is none.

Instead, when she dares to look again, Cas is, for the first time in his short life, expressing physical affection, his thin arms wrapped delicately around Dean’s shoulders.

In a voice so soft no one but Dean can hear it, Castiel murmurs, “Hello, Dean.”

It’s now 1988.

Dean Winchester is nine years old, down a parent, and up a…well, he’s hesitant to refer to Cas as like a brother, though adults in his life have described it as such.  It just feels wrong to him, for reasons he has yet to put his finger on.

Regardless, Cas has become remarkably close, mostly because his mother – a single parent, struggling to make ends meet – is almost never home.  As his closest neighbors and closest friends, Cas ends up spending more time at the Winchesters’ house than he does at his own.

Dean still wuvs hugz, though he’s now less willing to admit to such, and Cas, miracle of all miracles, still never fails to return them.  Indeed, Dean is one of the few people Cas will willingly touch.

At present, the boys are cuddled up on Dean’s lower bunk while young Sammy snoozes above them, a rerun of the Three Stooges buzzing on Dean’s fuzzy, black-and-white TV set.

99% of the time, Cas doesn’t understand the humor, fails to see the amusement in watching three people brutalize one another.  But he enjoys hearing Dean laugh, the feel of his warm breath against the back of his neck.  It makes him feel comforted.

It makes him feel home.

Contentedly, Cas closes his eyes.  He’s just drifting off when he hears Dean say, “Oh.  Hi, Daddy.”

For some reason, he sounds nervous.

When Cas blinks open his eyes, he sees why:  John is standing in the doorway, glowering at them, a strange sort of contempt darkening his glassy eyes.  He’s yards away from them, leaning in the doorless entryway to the boys’ room, but Cas can smell the pungent stench of alcohol wafting off of him.

“You boys’re too old to be doin’ that,” is all he mutters, before staggering away and leaving the confused duo with the vague but pervasive sense that they’ve done something wrong.

Cas glances over at Dean, who’s now worrying his lower lip and won’t meet his eyes.

Cas pats his hand.  “My mommy smells that way when she gets sad,” he offers.

For some reason, it seems to help.

It’s now 1996, and in that very same room, the boys are having a slumber party.  Of course, they’re not allowed to call it a slumber party, because they’re boys over the age of twelve, and rules of social conduct dictate that it be called hanging out.

But, essentially, it was a slumber party.

Cas skipped a grade, while Dean was held back one, and as such, they haven’t seen as much of one another as either party would have liked.

Still, Dean is popular, and surprisingly, so is Cas:  yes, he’s undeniably nerdy and not a little weird, but there’s an inherent niceness to him that makes him a pleasant person to be around.

Dean has had the pleasure of witnessing this all evening, as Cas interacts with Charlie, with Gabe, with Kevin and Garth and Benny, and even the little gray mixed breed that recently followed Sam home.  Regardless of what is being said, Cas listens to each of them with his undivided attention, head nodding, blue eyes wide with interest.

Dean is content, for once, to quietly observe, witnessing his friend for the first time through the others’ eyes.

Later that night, however, when they line the floor like sleeping caterpillars in their multicolored sleeping bags, Dean once again has Cas all to himself, facing one another in the bunk they’d shared all those years ago.

There’s a flutter in their chests that wasn’t there before, a not-entirely-unpleasant sensation that neither one can place.

Years later, Dean won’t remember what it was Cas was saying.  He’ll only remember the soft, gravelly rasp of his voice, his crystalline blue eyes as they stared so intently into his own.

He’ll remember how soft his chapped, full lips felt as he found himself kissing them, the tickle of his faint stubble.

He’ll remember the instant he pulled away, and the long moment in which they just silently stared, a million wordless protests racing through their minds:  it’s the mid-nineties, and the heat of the AIDs epidemic is still fresh in the public’s memory.  It’s by no means a good time to be gay, or anything close it.

More than anything, he’ll remember the exact moment he decided he didn’t care, that nothing in the world mattered more than having Castiel’s lips against his own.

He’ll remember the instant Cas silently agreed with him when he kissed back.

It’s 2002.

Cas is going to medical school.  Sam is going to college.

Dean is going overseas.

In the end, he really doesn’t have a choice in the matter:  he never had gotten his high school diploma, weighed down by the burden of being his family’s full-time emotional (and ultimately, financial) provider.

He’d tried so hard to juggle the two, coming home straight after school everyday to clean up and make dinner, to fill the role his mother had vacated when she’d died of cancer years before, and helping Sammy with his homework every evening before he even got started on his own.

He eventually had to give up and drop out of school entirely when John left them, and he had to get a full time job at his Uncle Bobby’s garage just to make ends meet.

But never once had Dean given up on the hope of making his life meaningful, of helping others and saving lives.

When he was younger, he’d wanted to go to nursing or medical school, perhaps become a paramedic, but as a high school flunky with five bucks to his name, this option is out for the time being.

So really, his only option is overseas.

Cas knew this, and he knows he should have prepared himself better.  Yet this does little to stop the tears from falling as he holds his fiance’s hands, freshly gifted engagement rings glinting in the evening sun.

Dean smiles that goofy, crooked smile, puts on a brave face as he wipes the tears away.

“Hey, now,” he says, chuckling painfully.  “Ain’t we talked about this, angel?  You know I don’t do chick-flick moments.”

Cas smiles faintly, nearly argues that Dean loves chick-flicks and they both know it, but he finds he doesn’t have it in him for their usual, lighthearted banter.

“Promise me you’ll come home,”  he says instead.

For a moment, Dean’s facade falters, adam’s apple bobbing as he swallows.  Still, his smile remains fixedly – painfully – in place.

“I promise, angel,” he whispers.

Eighteen months later, Dean comes home.  Or rather, most of him does.

They’ll both realize, with time, that Dean lost a part of himself overseas, and it wasn’t just the tip of his now-stubby left pinky finger that he’ll forever use to give Sam wet willies for maximum gross-out factor.  It wasn’t just the majority of the flesh of his left arm and ribcage, that took the brunt of the damage when the bomb went off, the drum-tight, pinkish scar tissue there to remind him whenever he examines himself shirtless in the bathroom mirror.

It’s something intangible, that will make itself evident the first time he ushers Cas away from their bedroom window, mind already anticipating the crackle of bullets and the shattering of class.  The first time he wakes up, heart pounding, to the crashing of a garbage truck or early summer fireworks, every instinct screaming for him to find shelter.

Dean knows he lost something overseas, a part of himself he’ll never fully be able to recover.

But he’ll be okay.  They both will.

In time, he’ll finally get his GED.  He’ll go to community college, and then, to nursing school, finally able to fulfill his dream of saving lives, helping others in his own way.

He and Cas will get married in the fall, and though it will take years of convincing on Cas’s end, convincing that Dean will not become a replica of his father, they’ll have kids:  Claire and Ben, adopted two years apart.  Dean will be startled by how completely they feel like his own.

They’ll be okay.  In spite of it all, they’ll be okay.  Life will go on, and it will be a good one.

But for now, all that matters is here at the airport, searching the crowd for that messy head of raven hair he knows is waiting for him.

His heart skips a beat when he finally spots it.

The years have been good to Castiel.  His shoulders visibly broader beneath his usual beige trench, a veritable sea of stubble framing the familiar, chapped lips.  Eyes, somehow bluer than Dean remembered them, widened when they met his own.

Dean swallowed.  Make no mistake, Cas had always been gorgeous, but now…damn.

For a moment, the two just stare at each other, neither sure what to say.

Finally, Dean chuckles wetly.  “Angel,” he huffs, with his best attempt at a cocky smile.  “You’re…you’re all grown up.”

Castiel says nothing.  Wordlessly, he moves forward, strong arms enveloping Dean’s shoulders.  Dean rests his head in the crook of his neck, breathing in a shaky, relieved breath as he feels the familiar prickle of stubble, taking in the clean, soapy scent he hadn’t known how much he’d missed.  It makes him feel comforted.

It feels like home.

A soft, gravelly voice rasps gently in his ear,  “Hello, Dean.”

“What can I get ya?” The bartender asked as he cleaned a glass with a damp cloth. He was solidly built and had light stubble on his jaw, he was attractive but not for you.
It was Friday night, so the bar was full of people hoping to get either drunk or lucky; most likely both.

“Anything with alcohol in it.” You smiled tiredly, running a hand through your Y/H/C hair.

“Rough night?” He chuckled and poured you a shot of tequila, he set it on the counter in front of you. You smiled softly and glanced over at Sam and Dean, who were being chatted up by a brunette in a short skirt who had her hand resting on the younger brother’s arm, causing envy to tug at your heartstrings. Your nails dug into your palm.

Lafayette was nervous, you could tell. There was some sweat beading around his hairline, he kept shifting in his chair and his knee was bouncing rapidly; it was pretty cute. You chuckled, making Laf lift his eyes to meet yours. He visibly relaxed when you gave him a warm smile.

“You okay, Laf?” You asked, going to your phone and scrolling through your playlists.

“Never better, mon amour. Just waiting for you.”

You could feel Laf’s eyes trailing down your body, you took the liberty of changing to shorts and a tanktop when you thought up the idea to give your boyfriend a lap dance. Why?

Well…why not?

Part Ten

It had been a few days since you’d told your Dad and Uncle the truth…as much as you could bare to say. You were currently sat at the Motel, your Dad was typing away on his laptop, no doubt looking into some lore for the case they were working.
Uncle Dean had gone to “get a burger”, but you weren’t stupid. He’d be gone all night no doubt. Ever since that conversation, you’d become a little more distant with your Dad. Maybe it was embarrassment, you never wanted to tell him in the first place, maybe guilt that you hadn’t told him or maybe you’d just been thinking too much.

Despite your distance, your Dad was now more determined than ever to stay close to you. You’d never been a talker and had always kept most things bottled up so to tell someone a story you kept to yourself and considered very personal was a huge step for you. You’d barely said a word to anyone since, but that was just how your body worked. You need time to recharge and build up to confrontation. A hunt would bring you back, something to keep your mind away from anything else.

You thought back to the conversation, the confused face your Dad had given you…

“Your daughter” You’d said, knowing full well it’d do nothing but increase his curiosity.
“Wh-what?” Your Dad’s eyebrows knitted together, his eyes focused intently on yours.
“You had two daughters.” You managed, your voice quivering.

“How…?” Your Dad was now much more hesitant to ask you anything.

Your lips trembled “Max was…” You could hardly breath.

…“Hey, Y/N, could you pass me the charger?”
You broke out of your daze, unaware of how long you’d been sat there, staring at nothing. Nodding, you handed your Dad his charger, still not saying a word.
“You okay, bug?” He tilted his head, you saw him do so out of the corner of your eye.
Again, you nodded. But he wouldn’t take a nod for an answer. Sighing, he got up from the chair and sat down next to you on the bed. You felt a dip in the bed, but still didn’t look up.

“It’s okay if you’re not.” He softly spoke, his elbows resting on his knees and his hands hanging in between.
You nodded again, lost for the correct words to say. “I know you’ve got a lot going on, Y/N. You can just stay here for the hunt.”
The way he spoke made it sound like an offer and left you wondering if it was an order. Instead of nodding, you shook your head, causing him to sigh again.

“Please.” You begged “I want to. I need….something to do.” You tried to explain it, finding each word harder to say without breaking down.
“You sure?”
Back to nodding, you hummed a “Yeah.”

Defeated, he stood up, planting a kiss on your forehead and sitting back down at his computer. You went back into your daydream…

“You had a twin.” Your Dad said the words for you. You nodded “She was my best friend, my only family when Mum died. She was all I had…” You couldn’t bring yourself to look at anyone.

“What happened to her?” Your Dad asked, only his tone of voice was different this time. It was as though the question was optional, he understood you didn’t want to talk about it.

You shook your head, squeezing your eyes shut. You couldn’t bare to think about it, her bloodshot eyes and pale complexion, her cold hands and lifeless body. You took in a deep breath “It doesn’t matter. She’s dead.”

…You hadn’t noticed until your Dad moved back down next to you that you were crying. It was silent, tears lightly trickling down your face, your eyes blinking a lot. This time he sat much closer and didn’t say a word, enveloping you into a hug, his head resting on yours and his arms holding you close.
“Hey, come on. It’s okay. It’s okay, sweetheart. I’ve got you.” He cooed, rubbing your back gently with one of his hands, the other held your head.
You sobbed, finally giving in to his embrace. He stayed there, holding you and keeping you close to him, you clung on to him as though your life would fade away if you loosened your grip at all.

You’d managed to convince yourself that you were okay, you’d be able to wake up every morning and smile without waiting for your sister to come and have breakfast with you. You could walk to school with two headphones in listening purely to the song rather than only having one in with your main focus on Max as she rambled on and on about nothing. You could fall asleep on time instead of texting your twin who was only a few feet away in the other room, so close you could hear each others giggles. You could walk the dog without sharing the lead or cross the road only looking out for yourself. You could hug your Mum without Max laughing and joining in the embrace: “Room for one more?”.

You couldn’t.

Blinking your eyes awake, you felt more tired than the night before. After allowing your eyes to get used to the light you noticed there was no one else there. The curtains were still closed, but the morning light was creeping through the sides they hadn’t covered. Your Dad’s laptop was on the table by the window.

You sighed, quickly getting dressed and putting on your combats. When you went to open up the curtains a post-it-note caught your eye, it was stuck to the laptop and curling slightly at the corner: “Having breakfast with Dean…Sorry, didn’t want to wake you up. Be back soon xxx”

You managed a smile and looked out of the window, noticing Baby was still there so he can’t have gone far. For most people, this situation would be a nod and go back to bed, only you weren’t most people. You were a Winchester.

You opened up the laptop to see the page open on ‘Waldos’, it seemed to be some sort of waffle-place. You took note of the street name, grabbed your gun for extra caution and headed towards Waldo’s.
It wasn’t exactly hard to miss, with a huge flashing sign and a massive waffle logo on every wall of the building, you slipped in through the front and walked up to where Dad and Uncle Dean were.

They had your backs to you, Uncle Dean was downing painkillers with coffee and your Dad was offering a disapproving look. You pulled up a stool next to Uncle Dean and smiled. Uncle Dean looked at you for a moment as though you were a stranger, his eyes were narrowed and his head tilted.
“Y/N..?” Your Dad looked concerned if nothing else. At the mention of your name Uncle Dean relaxed and looked back at his waffles.
“How did you find us?”
“You had the page open on your laptop.” You shrugged. To your amazement, Dad smiled to himself, something told you that leaving the website up wasn’t completely unintentional.

“So you’re saying you really can’t remember anything?” Your Dad frowned, watching Uncle Dean inhale about fifty waffles. “Not squat.” Uncle Dean shook his head in disbelief “Why did I even leave the Motel room…?”
“You wanted a burger.” You said.
“Well, I’ll text Mom to let her know I’m the emergency number…And Cas, in case he gets some more info on Kelly.”
Uncle Dean frowned and mouthed “Kelly?” At you. You sighed and frowned back before saying “You know, the girl with Lucifer’s bun in her oven.”
“Lucifers love child.” Dad added, standing up from the stool.”

“Oh, right yeah.”

“Okay, well I’m gonna go work the case. You and your waffles can have some alone time, come on.” Dad tited his head back to gesture for you to come with him. You rolled your eyes at your Uncle before standing to join Dad.

“Okay I’m coming.” Uncle Dean tore himself away from the plate and stood up to leave. Just then lady made her way over, she was smiling at your Uncle and took in a deep breath before saying “Hey.”.
“Hey.” Uncle Dean replied, looking between her and you two “Who are you?”
Her face instantly turned to rage and she slapped him there and then, turning on her heel in a huff and returning to her friends.
“Damn.” You mumbled to yourself, slightly impressed.
“Hell of a night.” Uncle Dean coughed.

One of the worst things about being a young hunter was the fact that you couldn’t pass as an FBI agent, so for the parts of the case where Dad and Uncle Dean were busy faking their jobs and working the case you were stuck in Baby, You got out and leant against the bonnet, whipping your phone out for something to do.

Half an hour later Dad and Uncle Dean came back, discussing something about the case no doubt.
“Looks like we’re dealing with Witches.”Your Dad explained, briefly filling you in.

Once again you were greeted with a strange expression from Uncle Dean, his head tilted to the side and his eyebrows furrowed. “Why do you keep looking at me like that?!” You asked, making your Dad turn back around to see what you were talking about.
“I don’t know. kid.” Uncle Dean coughed slightly when he sad Kid.

“Kid?” You echoed, the way he said it didn’t sound right.
“Where?” Uncle Dean frowned, turning slightly.
Sighing, you got in the back, ignoring Uncle Deans confused face.

“I said I’m fine!” Uncle Dean argued, getting out of the car.
“What’s my name?” You asked, standing in the way of the Motel door.
“My name. Now.”
“I don’t have to do this.” He decided.

“You don’t know do you..?” Your Dad looked amazed.

“Of course I do.”
“Then what is it?” You raised an eyebrow. he opened and closed his mouth a few times before shaking his head “I don’t know…”
“I’m only joking.” Uncle Dean laughed, but he looked incredibly confused, his mind deep in thought trying to remember what your name was.
“Uncle Dean-” You started to say before he interrupted you.

You and Dad shared a worried look.

“Dean, you forgot your own name!” Dad protested, following after his brother in the Motel room. “And Y/NS.”
”Y/N, that was it! I knew it!”
You followed on behind, wondering what the hell was going on with your Uncle.

“Yeah that was weird…” He couldn’t help, but agree however.

“Look I’m fine, see? This is a coat, this is a bed. This is uh…a….uh light stick.”
“A light sti-” Your Dad sighed, picking up a post-it-note and writing “LAMP” in big letters before sticking it on the “light stick”.
“Lamp!” Uncle Dean cheered “So close.”

“I’m gonna call Rowena.” Dad sighed before adding “The Witch.”
“Yeah…Rowena this is serious…I think he’s been hexed…he can’t remember really simple things…no….I don’t know and I’m not checking!…how do we fix it?”
You watched in anticipation when your Dad put the phone down “We need to kill the Witch.” He explained, putting his jacket back on.
“Come on.” He added, dragging his brother away from the TV.

“AND, our best friend’s an Angel..Whaaaaaat?!” Uncle Dean exclaimed, hitting your Dad who almost jumped out of his skin. You couldn’t help but giggle, only shutting up when Dad glared at you.
Settling with a smirk, you examined the blood smears on the tree bark, runnng your fingers gently over the dried crimson.

“Sam…Y/N!” Uncle Dean called out, shining his torch back at you both. You hurried over, finding a dead body collapsed behind a fallen tree.
He had whited out eyes, a river of dried blood coming from his mouth and dirt covered him all over. “Is that a dead guy?”
“Yep.” You answered, shining you torch over his body for any more clues.
“No, Dean. Not cool. Killing the Witch is supposed to be the cure. But if the Witch isn’t dead then…why aren’t you…you?”
“Not cool.” He gulped.

A knock at the door made you and your Dad look up from his laptop screen. “I’ll get it.” Uncle Dean declared, heading straight for the door.
“No, Dean. Wait!” Dad attempted to stop him, getting his handgun out.
The door swung open to reveal the Witch you’d met back when you had to capture Lucifer.

Inviting herself in, she put her bag on your bed and turned to face you all.
“Who’s this?” Uncle Dean scoffed.
Rowena sighed “The spell’s progressed I see.”
“Your hair…it’s all so bouncy.” Uncle Dean smiled, his hands hovering over her locks in amazement.
“Why…thank you,” She turned to face you and your Dad “Do we have to fix him?”

After managing to occupy your Uncle with TV, Dad pulled Rowena off to the side. She looked at you briefly before saying “This kind of magic is very high level witchcraft. I presumed them all dead. But, perhaps not. Eventually you forget how to speak, how to swallow, how to breath..well…Dean Winchester’s going to die.”
“Suck’s for that guy.” Uncle Dean chimed in. Sadly, you looked between the three of them, wanting someone to say something positive for once.

Uncle Dean went to the bathroom and your Dad instantly lost his ‘everything’s fine’ face, he sat down on the Motel bed, perching on the end. You sat next to him, not speaking.
“I’ve seen my brother die…but this, watching him become not him. This might be worse.”
You looked down at the floor, not sure what to say.

“We need to kill the Witches, Samuel.” Rowena declared, ignoring his comment.
“Yeah, an important spell book is up for grabs and here you are. I should have known.” Dad shook his head.
“True…” She hissed “But it’s nice to have a Winchester owe you one. Anyway, you’ll need me there not babysitting your brother. They’ll kill you both.”
You reached into your backpack, bringing out witch-killing-bullets in a loaded gun “They can try.” Dad raised an eyebrow, heading towards the door. Only, moments before he opened it he turned back around and looked at you. “Y/N, this could be really dangerous.”
You squinted skeptically at where this was going.
“I’m trained for really dangerous.” You retorted, putting a jacket on.
“I don’t doubt that…I just don’t want you to get hurt.”
“Me neither.”
“Y/N…” He frowned, not sure what else to say. Only he didn’t argue when you left the Motel with him.

“Promise me you won’t do anything stupid.” Dad looked at you with stern eyes, his hands resting on your shoulders. You sighed silently and nodded “I promise.”
With a tight smile he nodded, handing you a gun and taking the lead.

With two Witches down you made your way into the main house. “Okay, stay back.” He whispered.
You nodded, your eyes scanning the area.

Dad called Uncle Dean and Rowena, putting his phone is his pocket for when Rowena was able to perform the spell. You crept through the building, becoming more suspicious as the halls were empty. Eventually you found a lady, her blonde hair was curled slightly and she was carefully placing butterflies on a sort of plaque thing. Your Dad told you to stay put outside and went in, closing the door behind him.

You stood in the closed off doorway, your gun out ready for an attack. Only, not ready for the kind of attack that came. “A Baby Winchester, how quaint.” A male Witch chuckled, but you couldn’t see him. He was close, no doubt using some sort of invisibility spell, you watched the floor and saw a tiny cloud of dust as a footstep sounded. In a blind panic, you shot toward the culprit, the mirror behind didn’t smash which meant you’d hit something. You heard a cry of pain, a man with glasses and a bleeding side slowly appeared into vision. Before you could react he shot his hand out, sending you towards the wall behind. You smashed into it, feeling your arm scrape against some sort of metal, it sliced down your arm making you grunt. But, you got back up. He grabbed hold of you, his magic holding some sort of super strength as there was no way of getting out of his grip.

He kicked one of the doors down, dragging you in the room where your Dad was on the floor, his gun aimed at the Witch. As the man bled you felt his grip getting weaker- his magic was dying with him.
“Y/N!” Dad called, shooting the man a glare.
“Kill her.” The Witch laughed, her eyes full of nothing but hatred.
“I can’t, she shot me.” He revealed his wound, his shirt dyed deep crimson around the bullet.
“I thought you were invisible?!” She didn’t seem too worried about this.
“That didn’t stop her…the bitch.” He tried to grip you harder, but if anything he was losing all of his strength. You waited until he was barely holding on and threw him over your back, leaning forward as you did so.
He cried out when he hit the floor, his body close to death.

You looked at the Lady Witch as she held you where you were with her magic. You fell down, unable to get back up this time. Her hand closed as blackness entered your vision, knocking you out.

You woke to her walking around the corpse of the dead Witch Uncle Dean had found earlier. “…We’re going to swap his soul for yours.” The Lady finished, looking between you and Dad. She looked back to you and smiled “Or yours.”
“Don’t you dare!” Dad warned through gritted teeth.
“But she’s young and fit and so much stronger than some old man.” She hissed at your Dad.
Instead of retaliating with some snarky comment you glared, unsure of what could make the situation any worse. “You’ll do just fine.” She laughed, walking towards you. When she knelt down in front of you a loud crash sounded, turning her attention away from the pair of you for a second. A second was enough.

Immediately you rose to your feet, kicking her to the floor and sprinting out to see if your gun was where you fell.
You thought you Dad was right behind you, only he insisted on fighting the bitch. Deciding to leave him to it, you raced down the stairs in the hopes to come across some sort of effective weapon, when you turned the corner you came face to face with…Uncle Dean?

He looked at you strangely, holding up a gun fully loaded with Witch killing bullets and aimed. With only a second to react you ducked behind a chest of draws when he fired, his bullet scraping the back of your hand. You winced, hissing at the pain, but knowing he didn’t actually mean to shoot you. “I’m your niece! Don’t shoot me you bastard!” You shouted, hesitantly coming out from behind the draws.

“Oops…” Uncle Dean smiled awkwardly and you sighed, rolling your eyes.
“Is the Impala outside?” You asked, looking around warily.
“The what?” He frowned, having even forgotten Baby.
“The car!”
“Oh…yeah it is.”
“Okay good,” You put your hand on his arm and guided him to the corner of the room “Stay.”
“Where are you going?” The way he asked was like a five year old.
Sighing, you quickly said “To get another gun. Be right back.”

After not finding any more guns in the boot, you raced back to the house. The back of your hand was soar, blood still oozing from the sides of where the bullet had torn your skin, no doubt hitting your bone. Ignoring the pain, you peered round the corner to see…no one. He’d gone. Of course he’d gone, he can’t remember anything…”Should have written a bloody post-it-note.” You mumbled to yourself, following the sound of voices.

You walked in on the Witch and Rowena having some sort of stare-off.Their heads snapped towards you, making you take a step-back. Without a gun you were ten times more cautious. Uncle Dean ran in, holding up a gun and aiming at at the Witch. Your Dad then ran in,making Uncle Dean confused as to who to shoot.

“No,” Your Dad pointed at himself “Brother” then you “Niece” then the Witch “Witch.”

Uncle Dean nodded, cocking the gun and frowning at her. She laughed “You really think that’d going to work on me?”
Uncle Dean tilted his head, smirking as he held up a post-it-note which read Witch-killing bullets.

Her face dropped.

A gun shot rang out.

She fell to the floor.

Waiting with your Dad at the bottom of the stairs, you looked up when Uncle Dean and Rowena climbed down. “Did it work?” Dad asked, leaning forward expectantly.
“Who’s this hippie?” Uncle Dean frowned. You gulped. Maybe Rowena hadn’t done the spell yet. Maybe it took a few minutes to start working. Maybe-
A laugh tore you from your thoughts and Uncle Dean grinned, “Your faces.” He chuckled, ruffling your hair.
“Not funny.”

Uncle Dean’s face then frowned and he took your hand in his “Sorry for shooting you, kid, Good thing you’ve got quick reactions.”
“Yeah, no thanks to you you twat.” You smirked, tugging your hand away from his.
Dad frowned, tilting his head at your wound “Come on, let’s fine a bandage.” He declared, heading out of the house.

It had been a few days since you’d told your Dad and Uncle the truth…as much as you could bare to say. You were currently sat at the Motel, your Dad was typing away on his laptop, no doubt looking into some lore for the case they were working.
Uncle Dean had gone to "have a drink”, but you weren’t stupid. He’d be gone all night no doubt. Ever since that conversation, you’d become a little more quiet with them outside of hunts.

…"Hey, Y/N, could you pass me the charger?”

“I know you’ve got a lot going on, Y/N…”
The way he spoke made it sound like he had more to say, but didn’t want it to come out wrong. You nodded, making him sigh again “Y/N…”.

“I’m okay.” You tried to reassure him.
“You sure?”
Back to nodding, you hummed a “Yeah.”

Defeated, he stood up, planting a kiss on your forehead and sitting back down at his computer. You hadn’t had a chance to think about Max until after the hunt…You went back into your daydream…

You couldn’t bare to think about it, her bloodshot eyes and pale complexion, her cold hands and lifeless body…If only they knew… You took in a deep breath “It doesn’t matter.

You could walk to school with two headphones in listening purely to the song rather than only having one in with your main focus on her as she rambled on and on about nothing.

Sam doesn’t have many keys.

He carries the key to the bunker when he needs to. He has a key ring that holds the extra key to the Impala, and a key to an old, beat up car from the bunker’s garage- the one he drives when he isn’t with Dean. Those have been his only keys for years.

But now he has one more.

Awakened Destiny- Part 7

Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6

“I can’t keep doing this, you have to get out of this life, Y/N” Sam said, facing away from you as his fingers tapped the doorframe.

Your eyes dropped to your stomach, your fingers grazing Sam’s shirt now draped over you. If it weren’t for Cas healing you, you’d been long dead by now. Hell, you hadn’t honestly expected to survive anyway.

“Don’t do this, Sam…” you spoke quietly, every part of you hoping to god that this was just a petty conversation; that tomorrow you’d be wrapped up in his arms without a care in the world. You’d had these talks before, but his tone was different this time.

“I won’t keep watching you get hurt, I need you to be safe… and if that means…” he gulped as his eyes darted away, “if that means letting you go, then so be it” he finished, still refusing to make eye contact with you; knowing he would crumble if he did so.

Dean x Reader

Summary: Based on 12x10. Your boyfriend Dean finally comes home from the prison, and you’re excited to see him because he was in there for so long and you missed him.

“What do you mean I can’t go with you?” You demand to Castiel, earning pity eyes from him.

“We can’t risk having you go along with us. You’re not a hunter and we don’t know what we’re going into. I’m not letting you go in and risk getting hurt. You mean too much to us, especially to Dean.” Mary commented when she saw the glare you were giving Castiel.

They had potentially found out where Sam and Dean were after two months of them being gone, locked up somewhere for attempted murder of the president. You missed them, you missed Dean.

“What am I supposed to do? Stay here in the bunker?” You scoff as if it was the dumbest idea you have heard in your life. You knew the two of them were right, that you weren’t a hunter and going along wasn’t a good idea, but you wanted to see Dean.

“That’s exactly what you’re going to do.” Mary tells you, putting her hand on your shoulder. “I know you miss him. We miss him, too. But we’ll bring him home safe. I promise.”

“Please.” Your eyes start watering up. “Don’t let anything else bad happen to him.”

The entire time they were gone, you couldn’t rest. No one was responding to your messages, which just made your mind wander more, but you tried to not let it get to you. You’d trust Mary and Castiel with your life, so you were going to have to trust them on this.

Dean and you started dating about a year ago, but had known each other your entire life. You were Bobby’s daughter, which is ironic considering that you aren’t a hunter. He had kept you away from hunting your entire life, which you were okay with since you wanted a normal life.

One night, after a long few hours of drinking, Dean confessed to you that his feelings for you were more than platonic. You were shocked, as you hadn’t really ever thought about him as more than a brother figure, but as time went on you started to develop feelings for him. The two of you officially had gotten together after the whole Chuck and Amara situation was dealt with, and you’d been pretty happy ever since then. Obviously there were bumps on the road, but every relationship has those.

When Castiel came back to the bunker that one horrible day, telling you what happened with Lucifer/the President, you broke down sobbing. You were convinced that this was it, you were never going to see him again.

The past two months have been hard. You’ve been keeping busy with work, but the sadness in your chest from Dean being gone was definitely still present. You had no idea what was happening to him in there, whether or not he was even alive.

You sigh, shaking the thoughts off your mind and remembering to stay positive. They’re going to get him, he’s going to be okay. So is Sam.

You walk into the kitchen and heat up some leftover pizza from the night before, as you haven’t eaten all day and it was just now catching up to you. You glance over at the clock. Midnight. They’d been gone all day, and that was starting to make you worry more. They said they should have been back by tonight.

You take the pizza out of the microwave and take it over to the couch, turning on the TV to some cheesy romantic movie while you ate your food. You could feel the tiredness seeking in, but you ignored it for as long as possible. You wanted to be awake when they got home.

You jolt up off the couch, the sounds of voices flooding through the bunker awakening you from your sleep. There was now a blanket on top of you, indicating that someone had come home and covered you up. Your heart flutters, hoping that it’s Dean.

You look at the time on your phone- three in the morning. You rub your eyes and get off the couch, slowly walking into the room where the voices are coming from. Castiel, Sam, and Dean are sitting around the table and drinking beers, all looking stressed.

“Dean?” You say quietly, your smile growing wide. His face brightens up when he sees you, and you run over into his arms.

“Jesus, Y/N.” He holds you tightly, placing his chin above your head. “I missed you.”

“You’re alive.” You smile as you hold back your tears of joy. “I’m so happy to see you. And you too, Sam.” You look over at Sam. “I’m glad both of you are okay.”

Castiel scoffs, which makes Dean glare at him, but you don’t press it. Not tonight. You’re just glad to see your boyfriend home safe and sound- two months was a long time.

“Let’s go to bed, baby.”

“Are you sure? I mean the three of you seemed like you were having a conversation.” You say. Truth be told, you wanted nothing more than for him to go to bed with you, but you didn’t want to seem like you were pulling him away from Sam or Castiel.

“Nothing we can’t talk about later. I’m tired and I missed you and I want to go lay down with my girl.” He smiles at you before picking you up bridal style and carrying you off to the bedroom.

“You should have woken me up when you got here.” You pout as he sets you down gently on his bed. He starts unzipping his pants, leaving him in only his boxer as he crawls in bed beside you.

“You looked peaceful. Didn’t want to have to interrupt that. Besides, I had some… stuff to talk about with Cas first.”

“Like what?” You frown, and you turn off the lamp beside the bed, making it dark in the room.

“We can talk about it tomorrow.” Dean sighs. “Tonight, I just want to relax. Haven’t seen you in two months. You have no idea how terrible it was there.”

“I could imagine.”

Dean wraps his arms around your waist and brings you closer to him, his chest pressed up against your back. You could feel his slow, steady heartbeat, and you smile.

“I love you.” You sigh, turning around and facing him.

“I love you, too.”

Dean presses his lips to yours, giving you a soft and sweet kiss. He wraps his leg around your thigh and pins you underneath him, deepening the kiss.

“Dean,” You breathe out. “As much as I would love to do this right now, I’m exhausted. It’s almost four in the morning.”

“Two months, Y/N.” He whines, but rolls off of you anyways. “I don’t know how much longer I can wait.”

You laugh and bring his arm around your waist again, putting you two in the same position you were in before. You were about to fall asleep when you felt Dean’s lips press onto shoulder, making chills go throughout your body.

“I don’t know how I got so lucky. I love you so much.” He says in a hushed voice, unsure if you were asleep or not. You smile and let sleep take over you, knowing that you’ll always be safe in his arms.

Mary’s declaration gave Sam and Dean pause, but it absolutely knocked all of the breath from your lungs. She was working with those monsters?

“You, um… what?” You were sure Sam was having flashbacks to the time he spent with Toni, and the torture he endured. But no one knew about the similar flashbacks you were having. No one in this room knew about the time you spent over seas.

Get your own Angel - Destiel

“Are we going to get a drink or what?” Dean spoke up from his uncomfortable position on a solid cheap hotel mattress. Him, Sam and Castiel had agreed to letting loose a little tonight. What with having just finished a hunt and all.

“Yes Dean. We are just waiting on Sam to get ready.” Castiel replied as he placed a warm kiss onto his hunters head. Sam was in the other room, busy doing his long, luscious hair.

Dean and Cas had been what you could class as an item for a while now. They kept it secret though, Dean not wanting anyone to be able to use it against him. He was tired of everyone he loves dying. He certainly didn’t want anything to happen to his precious Angel.

He thought Sam was oblivious to their relationship, which he was; mostly. He’d have to be completely stupid not to see that there is a lot of adoration in their eyes when looking at one another.

“Right here. Now let’s go! Dean, no bringing girls home tonight, I’d actually like a few hours sleep.” Sam instructed his older brother.

“Oh, I can guarantee that won’t be happening” Dean replied through a smirk, looking down lustily at Castiel causing a shy smile from his Angel and an odd, suspicious look from his brother.

The three close companions sat at the last booth at the back of the bar Dean recommended they attend tonight. Sam on one side and Dean and Castiel sat, rather close on the other.

They had all had about four pints now and are partially tipsy. Okay maybe Dean had a little more than the others but he was still slightly sober.

“Dean, come help me get the drinks” Sam instructed.

“More alcohol, you don’t have to ask me twice, be right back Cas” Dean said as the brothers walked away to purchase a round of shots.

Dean had drank another few shots of something, he didn’t even know what it was, but he didn’t care. He tends to do this, whenever he has the chance, he just drinks and drinks, that way he forgets.

Sam and Dean place the shots on the table, there is ten all together however Sam and Cas only had two each, while Dean had six.

The Winchesters got a little bored of sitting so they decided on playing some pool, the pool table wasn’t that far from the booth they were in so Cas sat at the table and observed, mostly just admiring the way Dean bent over the table while playing.

“Hello there. You look lonely, can I sit here?” A girl with medium length red hair and vibrant makeup asks Castiel. Confusing Cas majorly, he wonders silently if she was trying to flirt or genuinely needed a seat.

“Okay. Sam and Dean will be back soon though.” Castiel informs her.

“Okay, they can sit there, I’ll sit on your lap.” The unnamed girl says while plonking herself down on Castiel in a slutty manner.

Castiel is extremely uncomfortable now, he doesn’t know if he should get her off him or not, he wants to, but he doesn’t want to upset the women.

“My name is Hannah. But you can call me anything you want.” The girl named Hannah allows Castiel, giving him a mischievous wink.

Soon after Dean looks over to the booth to check on Cas, only to be greeted by a girl shoving herself at Castiel. He noticeably didn’t want her to, he looked awkward and uncomfortable. Then the girl started cupping Castiels dick through his pants, Cas flinched and shoved her hand away saying “I’m in a relationship” but that didn’t mean she was giving up.

“Who cares? They don’t have to know” She said and goes to reach her hands out for his zip, Cas once again stops her and tries to get up, but she wraps herself around him and pulls him back down.

“Where do you think you’re going? Stop playing hard to get.” She says and presses her lips on Castiel’s, he doesn’t kiss back, instead tries to push her off him so she forces his hands on her boobs and goes down to undo his zip but Dean stops her in her tracks.

“Hey. Get your hands off my boyfriend” Dean says without warning grabbing Castiel’s hand and dragging him up from under her while gripping onto his waist possessively.

“He was enjoying it” She said through her teeth.

“Is that what you call that? You were forcing him.” Dean said, gripping Castiel tighter and getting angrier by the minute.

“He just isn’t a good kisser is all, you would know that If you were his boyfriend but he isn’t gay.” She said, as If she knew anything. Meanwhile Sam was watching how the events rolled out with a knowing grin, from afar, but close enough to hear it all.

“Not my boyfriend? Bad kisser? You call this a bad kisser?” Dean said as he grabbed Castiels thighs and ass, pulling him into himself and grinding slightly before Castiel jumped and wrapped his legs around Dean’s waist.

Dean then forcefully pressed his lips against Castiel’s perfect full ones, he kissed him hard while repeating “mine” in an inhumane voice,he bit down on his bottom lip earning a small moan from Castiel, Dean took this as an opportunity to let his tongue gain access and began sucking on Castiel’s lip and gliding his tongue across the top of his mouth. All the while his right hand was keeping Castiel up, and the other roped itself into Castiel’s soft hair and tugged at it every now and again.

They pulled away slightly, both gasping for air. “Yours” Castiel ensured.

“Not a good kisser? Yeah. That’s only because you can’t make him fall apart like I can. You can’t do anything, you can’t even get him to touch you. How about you get your own Angel?” Dean suggested to Hannah.

Hannah just glared in disgust and walked away, probably onto her next victim, Dean didn’t care as long as it wasn’t Cas.

Sam was about to call the two out on their relationship that he was secretly happy about, out of everyone Dean could have fallen in love with, Sam is happy it’s Cas. He knows Cas won’t ever intentionally hurt him. However he didn’t call them out on it as Dean wrapped his hands viciously on Castiel’s wrist and dragged him somewhere, Sam decided on letting them do their thing and walking back, they planned to walk anyway fully aware of how drunk they would get, however they did drive here, it was only a street away from there motel.

“Ow, Dean loosen your grip, it hurts” Castiel whined, but Dean didn’t listen, if anything it got tighter. He dragged them out of the bar and into the car park where a bunch of men around thirty whistled, cat calling that was aimed at Castiel.

Dean slammed Castiel against the Impala and bit down lustily on his neck. He began moving his tongue in circular motions and sucking until the skin started turning a dark purple, then he made his way up to Castiel’s ear lobe and whispered “you’re mine. I’m going to remind you of that”

Which sent shivers down Castiel’s spine and straight to his dick. They had been together long enough for Dean to know every single thing Castiel liked and didn’t, how anything to do with whispering or biting on his neck and ear sent him over the edge. It made him feel good, and Dean liked reminding his boyfriend that only he could make him feel like this.

This was all happening infront of the guys that cat called, they were watching, staring in fact, however Dean took the gun out of his coat and pointed it towards them, aiming directly above the “gang leader’s” head. Making them all run, they weren’t coming back.

Dean got back to work as soon as they left, he started nibbling on Castiel’s ear, while his hands gripped at his hair and his hips grind against Cas’ crotch in a painfully slow way.

Dean had decided to make this slow, agonisingly slow, to show Cas how much he needed Dean.

“Say you’re mine baby” Dean ordered.

“Dean, you know I am” Castiel said.

This wasn’t convincing enough for Dean, so he started cupping Castiel through his jeans, tracing his fingers along the tip.

“Say it. Say you’re mine. I want to hear you say it.” Dean said again, but this time opened the back door of the Impala and shoved Castiel inside lustily before cas could say anything at all. There was enough room in the back seat, they’d just have to stay close, which wasn’t a problem.

Dean lay Castiel down under him, and ripped off his T-shirt, soon after Castiel’s came off too. Dean was now grinding down onto Castiel, dicks rubbing against each other while Dean traced his tongue along Castiel’s abs.

Dean made his way back up to Castiel’s face and began sucking again, leaving behind a trail of many hickeys, he liked to mark his property.

He bit down on his ear lobe and undid the zip of Castiel’s pants. Removing his boxers and stroking Castiel’s dick, hands cupped and tight, squeezing. He let his hand rest at the tip and pushed his thumb into the slit of Castiel’s penis, they’d only just had sex yesterday, so Cas was prepared enough.

Dean undid his own pants now, removing his boxers at the same time and kissed Castiel. Holding his hand out for Castiel’s personal lubricant, Cas spat on Dean’s hand and he turned Castiel over, then stroked the lube along his own dick, before spreading Castiel’s ass revealing a perfect pink hole.

Dean sunk into him, letting himself sit for a couple of seconds for Cas to get used of the new warmth inside of him, then he began grinding into him. Roughly at first, he gripped Castiel’s hips so tightly it left red marks, and pumped himself in and out.

“Fuck Dean, feels so good” Castiel moaned out in pleasure.

“Moan for me baby” Dean loved the sounds Castiel made, it was like a personal symphony that only Dean got to hear.

Castiel panted and moaned out, he was a hot mess, uneven breaths and eyes rolling in pleasure.

“Hmm, Dean. Fuck, oh.”

Dean was barley thrusting now, he was basically pounding, gripping Castiel tightly and leaving trails of wet kisses along his back, he could feel Castiel tighten his hole around his dick and that itself nearly made him cum right then.

“Say. You. Are. Mine. Babyboy.” Dean said in between thrusts.

“I’m yours, oh god ohh. I’m all yours, nobody else.” Castiel said moaning loudly. Dean loves how Cas was so loud during sex. It sent him crazy.

“That’s right.” Dean said and pounded into him again, causing Castiel to come undone at his touch. Coming onto the leather seats of the Impala and on deans hand. The sound Castiel made when he came was enough to send Dean over too. He came a few thrusts after Cas. He fell down beside Castiel, unable to keep himself up.

As there was no way the two could go back tonight and face Sam, Dean grabbed his phone to see two messages of Sam.

“Dude. knew you two were a thing, I’ll talk to you about it tomorrow. I’m assuming you won’t be back tonight. ;)” Dean smiled, knowing his brother is okay with it, he didn’t care what people thought, but he’s always cared about Sammy.

Dean typed out a quick reply “You were right, got lucky ;) be back tomorrow” he put his phone down in the cup holder and grabbed a blanket that was there from Sam using it last night on the road and wrapped it over himself and Cas. He spooned into Cas, both naked but not caring.

Dean buried his nose in Castiel’s neck and mumbled into his ear “mine” before clinging to him tightly and falling asleep with his angel in his arms.

12x11 Coda: More Than His Share

apparently I can only finish codas the night before the next episode airs.  destiel, 1k

There’s been times that he’s wanted to wring every last damn memory out of his brain like it’s a sponge, like if he squeezes in all the right places, he can drain his thoughts.

This is not one of those times.

Right now, Dean clings to every hazy memory that his brain throws in sharp relief, one after the other like developing photos.  It’s not immediate.  When he tells Sam that he’s okay, the major events of his life have puzzle pieced their way back into place, but the details remain lost on him.  As he sits in the Impala, the cracks fill.

Sitting in the backseat with Sam nodding off against the rattling door, watching streetlights make patterns on the leather.  His first few hunts, all shaky trigger fingers and stains he couldn’t work out how to clean.  Cooking endless TV dinners and boxes of mac ‘n cheese.  Sam and Dad’s voices, raising in volume with every shouted word.  The empty backseat after he left.  Hunt after hunt alone.  A bullet straight between Azazel’s ugly eyes.  A deal, a kiss, a howl.  Unpleasant flashes of hellfire from the little of his time there he wasn’t able to stow away in a box somewhere in his head.

He’s amazed by how much Cas there is.

The exact fold of his old, ill-fitting trench coat, down to how many buttons chased each other up and down the flaps.  The gummy crinkles of his first-ever smile, and how much bigger it’s been growing over the years.  The warm steadiness of his hand on Dean’s shoulder, resting where the scorching red handprint used to lay.

Dean’s lived a long life—most of it, admittedly, dead.  But Cas takes up so much more than his share of space.
