he looks so worried for her

anonymous asked:

WA hugged each other a lot in the S3 finale, mostly of relief. Relief that Iris was alive and well, relief that her name is back on the byline, relief that Barry was safe from Savitar because Iris killed him. They were finally able to breathe with ease. And with the season ending with Iris saying "I've always been Iris West-Allen" (That other scene with the SF didn't happen. Shh!), I can't wait for them to plan their wedding.

Anon that hug in the Time Vault was the most beautiful thing. Barry was so happy he was almost crying. He was squeezing Iris so tightly I was a little worried for her being able to breath. I mean look at this…

THEY WERE SO HAPPY

Damn this show and their need for cliffhangers :/ Why couldn’t season 4 end with them going to a wedding cake tasting or something?

“Hearts are actually rather easy to give…at the start.” Ellere Valahan frowned at him, though it was out of worry more than anything else. She reached over and laid a hand over his, much of the effect lost with the armor she wagered, but did so anyway. “Why do you say it unfair? I think we all would expect… once given, it would be held.”

Ruran peered down at her hand. His own didn’t move, save for an idle shifting of his fingertips against the rock. “Held…but for how long? Forever?” He looked sidelong to her, then shook his head. “I should have known better. I—…” He paused, a little flicker of his stone given. “It matters little now…”

“It matters enough, Ruran,"she replied, watching the stone flicker and then giving a sigh. "Everyone deserves some form of forever. It just might take a few tries to get it right for some of us.”

“A few tries..?” A dry huff left him, almost a laugh but in the wriest and unsmiling of ways. “Forever is…not given for me. I had my try, and now I have this.” He reached up with his free hand to touch his white wooden face.

Ellere clicked her tongue at that, moving the hand from his and tapping a nail on the mask. “You seem to think that mask, that stone…is an excuse that you cannot grow close to people again? You never struck me as the type to give up after one, single try, sugar. Your determination to stand after…everything, is part of what I admire about you.”

Ruran made a light exhale through his nose as the mask was tapped. Weary, bloodshot eyes looked to her. “Standing is all I can do. I am…not permitted to quit.” He looked away, gaze settling on the distant tombstone. “I have been advised to guard my heart. Keep my emotions in check. Yet I feel…everything, more intense than ever before. I do not know how to make them cease…even if it would make my mission easier.”

She did not like the word ‘permitted,’ but did not comment, for now. “They are… valid warnings,” she started, pausing for a long while. “Emotions are what remind us we live, Ruran. You faced death before. You were given this chance. To have them cease…” She shakes her head. “We’ve spoken on your duty before…and I suppose I owe you an apology for that.”

“An apology?” He slowly looked to her, confusion in his gaze. “Why for..?”

Ellere finally looked away from him, “I still… do not like it. The thought of what you do, what that…stone does to you, makes me worry. But I…I did not mean to make it sound as if I was against you. It is quite the opposite. I wish only to support you. You deserve that.”

The stone around Ruran’s neck gave a brief flicker, though it didn’t seem to distract the knight from regarding her for a few silent moments. He looked to the tombstone, and then down. “Most do not approve. I cannot blame you for that.” His head shook. “I am grateful for…for any support you may give me, but…I do not feel I deserve it. I am…quite a lost cause,” he quietly admitted.

“Approval and worry for a friend are two different things, Ruran. I do not begin to understand what you feel, what you believe you have to do…but I know I do not wish to see you hurt.” Her head tilted to the side, her own eyes falling to the stone below. “You might feel lost, but you are far from a lost cause.”

Ruran slowly nodded in understanding, but a silence lingered over him as he bowed his head and gave a sigh. “I wish I…had the courage to tell you everything…about me.” The stone gleamed once at that, and Ruran’s eyes grew a bit more distant. “Perhaps one day I will…”

Elias arranged the basketball meating?

Elias was worried about Sana and of course he tried to connect with her sister by using also his best friend, who just happens to be the guy Sana really likes.

That’s why Elias was so fast on the spot when Sana cracked a smile. Ready to bond with Sana again.

That’s why Yousef couldn’t speak directly about Noora and the kiss. Elias was nearby waiting for a right moment to join them.

Yousef looked worried after he saw how Sana shut out Elias. He has to know by now that Sana DID have feelings for him. Her reaction in the kitchen was so clear: she was hurt by him. She couldn’t even look at him anymore.

So Yousef decided to contact Noora and make things right. And I suppose Noora would be worried about Sana also, right? Sana has been clearly avoiding her. Noora has to suspect that something is wrong.

"I know that this is hard on you. Both Nico and I being here. But I fully approve of that boy. Just don't worry so much." She smiles. "Give him a kiss for me." Will hugs her, heading back to Nico's room. It's still empty, but that's okay. He sits down just as Nico is being rolled in. He looks exhausted, tense, but his face lights up when he sees Will."Hey. My sunshine." He giggles."Hey, baby. You okay?" Nico presses a kiss to his cheek."'M okay. Tired."He rubs his eyes and yawns."Sleep with me?"

“Yeah, baby,” Will listened as the nurse told him that Nico did well, they got through the whole test without any problems. Will’s proud of Nico sticking it through. “He can rest for the remainder of the day. His next test won’t be until tomorrow morning, so that should give him plenty of time to relax.” Will nodded and thank her before she walked out and he turned to Nico. “Hey, baby, I’m so proud of you. That’s it for today. You can rest now.” Nico smiled, and his eyes were already slipping shut. Will kissed his forehead before squeezing his hand gently. It’s a relief to have one day of testing done. “Did you go see your mom?” Nico asked around a yawn.

Even though it’s not really the same as coming down in the first time, Bellamy still has this strange sense of deja vu as he looks at the door. The ship is smaller, he has fewer people with him, he feels both more and less sure of what he’ll find. They tried to hit the only spot of green they could see, but the controls are a mess, so he’s not sure they got to it. The whole fucking ship is a mess, built out of whatever scrap they could salvage. Even with six years to perfect it, the thing is still held together with spit and prayer, according to Raven.

But it got them to the ground. They’re back.

“Just open the fucking door!” says Raven, and Bellamy lets out a long breath and finally hits the release.

He knows what he’s hoping for: clean air, plants, blue sky. And he gets all of those.

He just also gets a girl, maybe ten or eleven, with brown hair in braids, pointing a gun at him. Which is honestly fairly encouraging; someone survived, and they have firearms. So she probably came out of the bunker.

He puts his hands up on reflex.

“Hey, uh–we come in peace,” he tries, and then says it again in Trig, for good measure. He doesn’t recognize her, but that doesn’t mean anything. She could be from another clan; there are plenty of them he doesn’t know. Or–his heart trips on the thought–she could be a nightblood. She could have survived because of that, and if she survived–

The girl pulls her gun back and looks at him critically. “Are you Bellamy Blake?”

He blinks a few times. “Um, yeah. I’m Bellamy Blake.”

“Really?”

She sounds skeptical, which doesn’t make any fucking sense. She’s the one who brought it up. There’s no reason for her not to believe him.

“Yeah, really. Did you come out of the bunker? Is my sister with you? Octavia?”

You’re Bellamy?” she says, like she didn’t hear him. She’s making a face like something smells odd. “I thought you’d be taller.”

Taller?” he asks.

Raven pokes her head out. “It’s been five minutes and you’re already being held at gunpoint? You sure have a way with people, Bellamy.”

“Look, we don’t want to hurt you,” he tells the girl. “Just–”

“I know,” she says. “You just want to see Clarke.”

“Oliver said there’s an ARGUS plane on the other side of the island.” Felicity.

“It’ll take us all day to get there.” Diggle. “Anything could happen to Chase to set off the explosives.”

“Oliver said he wouldn’t kill him,” Felicity said, hanging on stubbornly to her optimism.

“Yeah, but that still doesn’t guarantee the explosives won’t go off,” Dinah chipped in.

“I still think we should wait for Oliver,” Quentin said. “If anything, we should look for his son.”

Samantha perked up. “I’m on board with that plan.”

Slade listened to all the chatter with half an ear as they each tried to come up with a plan. He remained silent, not because he had no opinion, but because he felt something. In his gut. Something wrong.

The short hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, his heart hammered in his chest. There was definitely something wrong, and that something wrong was coming fast.

“We have to go underground,” he shouted, silencing everyone.

They all turned as one to stare at him.

“Why?” Rene asked.

Without answering, Slade ran toward the only place he knew would be safe, not waiting for the others to follow. After a beat, he heard rapid footsteps behind him, but he kept his concentration on looking for one thing.

The entrance to an ARGUS prison block.

Slade had spent the last three years in a cell on the other side of the island, but if he knew ARGUS, he knew that they would be thorough. There was bound to be another block on this side.

“Where are you taking us?” Thea called out from behind him.

Slade didn’t answer.

“Slade!” Diggle shouted.

At last, Slade saw something metal rising out of the ground in the distance, maybe 400 metres away. His pace sped up as gooseflesh crawled up his neck.

“Run!” he shouted over his shoulder. “Run like the devil is on your heels!”

Sweat popped out on his brow as they finally reached the entrance. He wasted no time in wrenching the door open. “Get in!”

No one moved, to his everlasting frustration.

“We need to look for William!” Samantha cried.

“And the plane,” Rene added.

Slade grit his teeth and growled, “Get. In. Now.”

A grave look appeared on Diggle’s face, finally catching Slade’s bad feeling, and ushered Felicity before him. “Get in,” he repeated, and finally, they all began to move.

No sooner had Slade shut and locked the lid that the ground beneath them shook violently, throwing him off the ladder. Explosions sounded overhead, through the thick concrete. The floor shook as the shockwave reached them, but the walls held firm.

“Go deeper,” he commanded, getting up from the floor. “Through that door and down the hall, there’s a stairwell at the end. That will take us lower.”

They all turned to go, except for Felicity, who stood with her hand over her mouth and tears swimming in her eyes.

“Oliver…” she whispered.

Slade approached her slowly, getting in her field of view. “He’s gonna be all right,” he said, attempting to reassure her. “Kid’s got more than nine lives. He’s more worried about us, I’d wager.”

She blinked up at him, as if just realizing he was in front of her. After a tense moment, she nodded, and turned to follow the others.

Slade took one look back at the door above his head. “You better not make a liar out of me, kid,” he said, before following the others into the bunker.

Marichat Day 14: Aged-Up Chat Noir

“Marinette, stay behind me,” Chat Noir warned, keeping one arm thrown back behind him in her direction.

Older Chat leaned against the balcony railing, arms crossed and an amused expression on his face. “This really isn’t necessary. I’m literally you.”

Marinette peeked around Chat Noir’s back to study the older man. “Why are you here?”

“To see you, of course, Princess,” he winked. Chat Noir growled and the older man laughed, waving a hand. “Paon is learning how to use his powers of time travel. I’m the guinea pig. Don’t worry, my Lady will have me back in her arms  within an hour or so.”

“How do you know?” Marinette bypassed Chat Noir’s outstretched arm to his exasperated huff.

Older Chat smiled at her. “Because it’s already happened for me.” He tilted his head in his younger version’s direction. “I remember it.”

Chat Noir furrowed his brow. “Why come here though? Why visit Marinette?”

“She knows why.” Older Chat gave her a knowing look.

Marinette’s eyes widened and she blushed. Chat Noir looked at her incredulously. “What does that mean?!”

She put a hand on his shoulder. “Hey, I think it’s okay. Do you mind if I talk to him alone?”

“What?!” he sputtered. “No. Absolutely not!”

“He’s you, kitty. There’s no one I trust more.” She cupped his cheek and smiled. “You can sit on my bed so you can still see us through the skylight.”

Chat Noir pushed out his bottom lip. “Fine, but I’m coming back up in five minutes no matter what.” He glared at his future self before dropping down through the skylight.

“I forgot how stubborn I could be,” Older Chat remarked, giving himself a finger wave.

“You know who I am,” Marinette said softly, stepping closer to him.

“You’re my Lady,” he whispered back. “I couldn’t help myself. I wanted to see you like this again.”

“Like this?”

“Softer.”

“I don’t understand,” she confessed.

“I wouldn’t expect you to. Just know it does me good to see you like this…to see you with him.”

“Do I tell you…him…” she shook her head. “Am I the one who tells Chat who I am first?”

Older Chat pursed his lips. “I really shouldn’t say anything. You warned me not mess anything up when I came back…”

“Can’t you give me one itty bitty hint, kitty?” she begged with a pleading smile.

Older Chat put a hand to his heart. “Low blow, my Lady. You know I can’t say no to you.”

“My Lady? D-did you just call her…” Marinette spun to see Chat Noir’s head poking out of the skylight. “Marinette?”

Marinette looked at Older Chat in terror. He winked. “You bast–”

A glowing blue light erupted from behind Older Chat, cutting off Marinette. “Come on, love. It’s time to come back home,” a familar voice said as a slender arm reached through the blue light.

Older Chat kissed the hand reaching for him and turned back to the young pair. “See you in a few years, my Lady,” he said with a grin to Marinette. “Enjoy tonight, Adrien,” he finished with a wink before disappearing into the blue light.

Marinette spun on Chat Noir. “Adrien?!”

Villainous Headcanons

Yeah that’s right ya boi back on that bullshit also you guys should check out my Dr. Flug RP BLOG @oh-flug-me maybe drop a question…please

Anyway, let’s get started

•It’s a house rule not to attempt to remove Flug’s bag

•Dementia will pick at the edges to mess with him, but she’d never actually try to take it off
•5.0.5. learned his lesson when Flug almost had a panic attack when he started to lift it up
•Black Hat had completely removed it once, snatched it off his head in a fit of rage, and was actually surprised to see Flug curled up tightly on the floor, covering his head with his arms so no one could see any part of it at all.
•He was shuddering and crying, mumbling and pleading for Black Hat to give it back
•Black Hat, either out of the kindness of his bleak little black heart or maybe just because he was sick of Flug’s whimpering, he gave it back and even turned around, allowing him to put it back on without Black Hat seeing his face
———
•They eat at the table, all of them

•Black Hat’s rule
•"We’re evil, not slobs! It’s so I won’t find any plates in people’s rooms, Dementia. How would we look in our advertisments if this place was a mess?“
•Dementia eats more like an animal than 5.0.5. does
•Flug either waits for everyone to finish so he can participate in the conversation then eat alone at the table or he simply asks to eat in his room if his social battery isn’t too high, for obvious reasons
•"I better not find that plate in there or it’s your soul.”

•One day, Flug sat down at the table and seemed to worry about something
•Nobody was paying his fidgeting any heed until Dementia glanced over at him and her mouth dropped, prompting the other two to look where she was looking. Their reactions to the phenomenon were the same.
•Flug had pushed up his bag juuuuust enough to allow him to take bites of his dinner, revealing a small part of his mouth and chin
•His hands were shaking and he was trying to ignore their gawking
•"I-I-I-p-please lo-look away. Yo-you’re staring is m-making me uncomfortable,“ he squeaked, etching the bag back down.
•In an instant, the conversation went back to being just about it was before, but glances were stolen at his mouth
———
•Black Hat likes cats

•As in: If they wander in because the door is open on a hot day, he doesn’t immediately shoo it out and lets it wonder around til it leaves
•If it bumps his leg wanting affection, he’ll nudge it away a bit, but he won’t kick it
•If it brings him dead things, then it gets a pet
•Black Hat made the mistake of letting a cat fall asleep on him
•"You sneaky devil! How’d you even get in my lap?”
•He wants to move, but something compels him to stay put until it wakes up
•Dememtia is jealous as all hell when she found Black Hat asleep with the little fuzzball in his lap
———
•5.0.5. can be found sleeping anywhere at any point of the day.
———
•Flug: “I’ve been awake for a week with nothing but coffee and Ritz crackers to keep me alive.”
•Black Hat: “For once, that isn’t my fault.”
———
•Flug and Dementia sing together some times

•One of the few times you’ll ever see them getting along
•Dementia handles the more…provocative dance moves of the songs they sing together
•Flug can rap pretty damn well
•Though she may tease and sometimes bully him, Dementia likes seeing Flug so happy when he’s singing
•They usually sing until either Black Hat yells at them to turn it down/off or if 5.0.5. tells them that their music is ruining his cleaning time
•They usually high five before going about their day.

Warnings: angst!, a tiny bit of violence, swear words, alcohol

Summary: Being Bucky’s best friend (after Steve of course) gets a lot of perks - but being in love with him WHILE being his best friend means that your adoration must be kept a secret. That also means you have to silently endure every single encounter with women he has whether he tells you or you see it for yourself.

A/N: So this one shot is based on the Amy Shark song “Adore You” (she speaks to me on so many levels!) and I just really wanted a Bucky fic for it because he’d be absolutely clueless to someone adoring him like this…I also kind of skipped over the “oh look at him I’m in love with him” fluffy stuff and I just focused on the couple of days leading up to the point reader can’t take it anymore. I like the angst - it fuels me *evil laugh*

I’m just gonna stand with my bag hanging off my left arm

I’m just gonna walk home kicking stones at parked cars

But I had a great night ‘cause you kept rubbing against my arm

I’m just gonna stand with my bag hanging off my left arm

You hugged Wanda and Nat, giving small waves to the boys, before turning to Bucky.

“Hey B, I’m going to head back to the tower. The mission took a bigger toll on me than I thought.” You made a show of rubbing your neck, hoping the sadness in your eyes would be mistaken for exhaustion.

Bucky turned away from the young, curvy brunette tucked under his arm, his smile fading as his eyes scanned over you with concern. He didn’t move away from her, nor did you move any closer, instead you gripped the strap of your bag hard, until your knuckles were white, in an effort to ignore the pain radiating through your chest.

“Are you sure? Did you want me to come with you?”

You gave serious thought to saying yes, knowing he’d probably give the woman a kiss and get her phone number before following you out of the bar, talking your ear off about how she was this and that. All the while, you would be fighting the anger and nausea bubbling up your throat, fighting back the urge to scream at him to shut up about her and every other woman, just fighting to keep your face neutral as you listened to the love of your life pine after any and every other woman but you.

So this weekend I may have saved a little girl from a pedophile

So this weekend I was at a water park with my finance. I am on a lot of medication and overheat easily, and the park was almost empty so I would hang out in the wave pool to cool down while my fiancee went on the slides because I didnt want to slow him down but had to regulate my body temperature between slides.

In the pool I noticed a little girl, 6-9 years old, maybe. She was going up to adults and depending on their gender saying either “mommy” or “daddy” and climbing on them/being very physically affectionate (hugging, cheek-kissing). At first I thought these adults were family members but I noticed they all eventually abandoned the girl and went off with their own children. Eventually she came up to me and called me “Mommy” and the waves were going heavy so I thought at first that maybe she was confused/afraid/disoriented so I let her climb on me piggyback and held her above the waves and started to ask her where her mom was, if she needed my help getting back to her mom (in case the waves were making it hard for her to swim or disorienting her) and she told me “my mommy isnt here, you’re my mommy now” and i let her sit on my shoulders until the waves passed and another little girl called her over to play. I thought they were maybe together but realized they weren’t once they split up, so i watched her for a cycle or two before my boyfriend finished with the slide he was on and i asked him to keep an eye on her while I alerted some lifeguards because I was concerned for her safety/worried some perv would hurt her or try to leave with her. The lifeguards went to find her mom and I kept watching the girl from across the pool. Most adults reacted like I did, sort of alarmed and looking around for her parents but for some reason most of them just let her go without looking for her parents. Eventually she went up to a man who reacted in a way that appeared familiar, I thought he way maybe her parent but he started looking around the pool in a suspicious way. So i sort of walked over to them and the girl recognized me and immediately said “Mommy! I found daddy!” And the guy way too quick was like “Im her father.” And I was like “No, you’re not.”

I called a lifeguard over and over the radio we were told that her mother was located passed-out drunk in a room with her infant brother so I started screaming and pointing at the guy telling the lifeguard that hed tried to claim the little girl and they cleared the wave pool and I had to talk to the cops and shit but I guess the moral of the story is if you see something, SAY SOMETHING, because that pervert literally could have walked out of the water park and into the resort and hurt this little girl and she must have interacted with 10-15 adults other than me who just decided this kid wasnt their problem.

Hello, I was wondering if I could have an ask of a Dalish Inquisitor sneaking off in the Abor wilds and when the companion finally find them hours later they're surrounded by a bunch of halla just laying around them while they sleep peacefully, something they haven't done in awhile (Romanced please)

The Dalish are my soulmates.

Solas: High Approval: He’s been hunting for hours, but his skills are rusty and it took him far longer than it should have to finally track the Inquisitor down. When he does find them, they’re asleep in a meadow filled with halla, looking more peaceful than he had ever seen them. He can’t bring himself to interrupt. He smiles at them, sets a few protective wards, and starts back to camp. Then he stops. He looks at the Inquisitor, how peaceful they are, and he sits against a nearby tree. A nap might be nice. Low Approval: He stumbles upon the Inquisitor’s hiding place by accident. He wasn’t actually looking for them, just looking for a place to be alone for a while. He rolls his eyes at them. They looks so Dalish and it’s almost sickening. Despite his distaste for the whole scene, he leaves them in peace. Just before he leaves, he sets a few wards. It wouldn’t do for the Inquisitor to die during a nap, after all. There’s more to do yet. If Romanced: He’s been frantically combing the forest surrounding the Temple and the camp for hours, unable to focus long enough to dredge up his ancient tracking skills for a forest like this. When he finally catches up to the Inquisitor, the sight nearly takes his breath away. He’s never seen them looking so peaceful. The halla have clearly accepted them as a friend, as kin, lethalen, and are grazing peacefully all around. He wonders if the skittish creatures would defend the Inquisitor if a threat neared, and as he watches he thinks that they might. He walks the perimeter of their meadow, setting wards and making certain it’s safe. Then he settles himself beside his vhenan, taking them into his arms, and falls asleep.

Josephine: One of the scouts found the Inquisitor, and she thought it would be a good idea for her to go get them personally. Yet when she finds them, she discovers that she can’t disrupt the scene. It’s so foreign to her, halla roaming nearby and the Inquisitor sleeping peacefully in the grass. They look like some lost barbarian royalty. Just a few more minutes. If Romanced: She smiles when she finds her lover, asleep in the grass. It’s not the first time she’s found them taking a nap outside and she knows it won’t be the last. After a short internal debate, she winds her way through the grazing halla, careful not to startle them, and lays down beside her lover.

Cullen: He’s been searching for the Inquisitor for hours, worried that they’d been taken or something. When he finds them napping instead, looking more at peace with the halla than he’d ever seen them, he’s annoyed. But only for a moment. He understands the need to find some peace. He leaves them alone, but sends a couple of soldiers to make sure that their peaceful nap stays that way. If Romanced: He was frantic with worry as he combed the forest, and he nearly fell to his knees with relief when he found the Inquisitor at last. They look so peaceful, more so than he’s ever seen. He knows that what happened at the Temple must have been hard, awful for them. They deserve some rest. Rather than leave them alone, however, he lays down next to them and smiles, just watching them until sleep takes him, his hand steady on his sword hilt.

Leliana: She found them first, before the others. She knew where to look. She stands at the edge of the meadow, hands on her hips and a smile on her face. She considers waking the Inquisitor, but she’s never seen them so at peace. The halla will alert them if there’s danger. She posts a couple scouts nearby and leaves without interfering.

Vivienne: She clucks her tongue at the scene before her. The Inquisitor may be Dalish, yes, but they need to maintain their image. What if someone saw? There’s twigs in their hair and dirt on their armor now. She’s about to march over and straighten them up but then she notices how peaceful they look. She can’t help but soften. They deserve a rest. She returns to camp, determined to send anyone looking for them in all the wrong directions.

Varric: Aww. This is the kind of thing that he wishes he could put in his books but that no one ever wants to read, the quiet moments after the battle, between one crisis and the next, when the hero just needs to be alone. If he were a poetry kind of guy, this scene would probably be pretty inspiring, the Dalish hero napping in the sun with some halla. He leaves them to it, but lets Nightingale know where they are.

Iron Bull: He tracked the Inquisitor to their hiding spot when he realized he hadn’t seen them for a few hours. When he sees where they’ve been, asleep on the ground with halla all around, he just grins and goes back to camp. No need to interrupt. If Romanced: He breathes a sigh of relief that his kadan is safe. After everything that happened at the Temple, he was worried. But there they are, asleep in the grass like a wild elf should be. He grins as he lays down next to them. He’ll keep them safe.

Dorian: He went for a wander for his own health, to be alone after everything they just learned, but he finds the Inquisitor instead of peace of mind. He watches the Inquisitor sleep for a few moments, looking very Dalish, and thinks about his homeland. Then he walks away. If Romanced: He smiles when he finds his amatus asleep in the grass. They both needed some time away, then? That’s fair. He settles himself on the ground beside his lover and watches him sleep, thinking about his homeland.

Sera: When she finds the Inquisitor, she nearly makes a very loud comment about elfy elves sleeping in the dirt with halla, but she stops when she sees their face. They look so peaceful that all her ire fades away. She knows how much they need some peace. She leaves them alone. If Romanced: There’s her honeytongue! Finally! She runs up to them, startling a few halla as she goes, but stops short when she sees how deeply asleep Inky is. After a few moments thinking about it, she lays down too. It’s not so bad, laying in the grass.

Cassandra: She’s been searching for hours! When she finally finds the Inquisitor, she almost launches into a speech about recklessness but stops short when she realizes they’re asleep. When she realizes just how deeply asleep they are and how much they must have needed it, she finds that she doesn’t have it in her to wake them. If Romanced: After hours of searching and worrying, she finds her lover asleep on the ground with halla all around, and she melts instantly. It’s such a romantic scene, the sun shining on their sleeping face and the breeze ruffling their hair. She looks around to make sure no one else is nearby, then lays down beside her lover. She can’t resist.

Cole: He knew exactly where they were and why they were there. “Haunted, hunted, too much, too much. We didn’t know. Need to be away, sort it out. I’ll help.” He turns away anyone who might wake them, redirecting them without anyone noticing.

Blackwall: He’d been walking, wandering around and thinking about the Wardens when he found the Inquisitor. He almost went over to them, he almost just walked away and hoped he wasn’t noticed. But then he saw that they were asleep and he stops. They look so peaceful, even after what just happened and all they learned. Maybe that was what he needed, too. Just let it go for a little while. He leaves feeling better than he has in weeks. If Romanced: “So careless. What would I do if you got hurt out here alone?” he murmurs, gently brushing the Inquisitor’s cheek with his fingers. He’d almost left and hoped he wasn’t seen, but they were asleep out in the woods alone. He needed to protect them. And they looked so peaceful that he didn’t want to leave. He lays down beside them, gathering them in his arms, and hopes their peace will rub off on him.

You never felt so inadequate in your life, when you left the house for one of Tony’s parties . You felt beautiful in your black strapless dress and high heels.  But as soon as you arrived at the party, you felt your heart being shattered.

You see Bucky with a beautiful blonde in his arms , when he sees you he comes in your direction kissing your cheek and pulling you to a hug “Don’t you look beautiful?” He says staring into your eyes, you smile at him with your best fake smile“Well I tried, apparently not as hard as your date.” You say sounding bitter even if that is the last thing you wanted to be or sound like.

She ducked under his punch, getting back up just as quickly and trying to elbow his chest. He grabbed hold of her joint and pushed her back. As she came rushing back in for a straight punch to his face, his metal hand flew right to her jaw.

She staggered back before falling to her knees. Her hair fell in front of her face and a few strands stuck to her glistening forehead, a long groan escaping her.

“Oh fuck, Y/N. I’m so sorry!” Bucky panicked, surprised as he thought she would have been able to see through his techniques as always and dodged his incoming attack.

He rushed to her side and knelt beside her, wrapping his arm around her back and using his free hand to remove the hair from her face. She whined in pain, trying to force a smile to not make him feel so bad but not being able to. “Okay, that one hurts… I’m not gonna lie.”

“Shit, I’m so sorry.” He carefully tilted her head to get better lightning on her jaw which was red, bruising and already swollen. “Fuck. That’s bad.”

“I don’t know if it’s anything serious, but I can taste blood?” She looked up at him. “Maybe that’s just normal. Also, my left ear is ringing, or it might be my entire head actually, I can’t tell the difference right now.”

Bucky kept repeatedly mumbling curses as he softly placed his bionic hand over the bruise. She winced in pain at first but the cooling of the metal was better than not having it there at all.

“Remind me to wear a hockey helmet for our next training session or something…” She began to push herself up from the floor. Bucky tried to help her by continuing to hold his arm around her back, which turned out to be very helpful.

“Woah!” He exclaimed as she almost fell forward, his grip of her tightening and keeping her on her feet. “You okay?”

“I just got punched in the face with a hand that’s literally made out of metal. Pardon me if I’m a little dizzy.” She chuckled, her voice strained from the pain radiating up her jaw and numbing the area around it. She turned to face Bucky, her hand carefully touching the swollen bump. “Does it look bad?”

Yeah.

“No.” He lied. “It looks alright.”

“Liar.” She could see straight through him, of course. She always could. “Oh man, and Tony’s birthday party is this weekend.”

“That’s five days away.” Bucky tried to remain hopeful.

She looked over at him, her eyes hooded and her eyebrows raised high, circulating the area where he had punched her. “By the sheer agony I’m in right now, I can tell this isn’t going to go away in five days.”

“I’m sorry…” He pleaded and she dropped her sarcastic attitude, feeling bad for the poor guy.

“I know you are. It’s okay. I’ve had worse. Remember when I got shot in the damn hand in Serbia? When I had to drive the car to the hospital with that hand, the gear lever nearly went through the bullet hole.”

He chuckled after seeing her smile at the brutal recall of a mission two years prior.

“Or when you went two weeks in pain because you thought your body was “healing slowly”, when in reality you had a completely broken arm?” He remembered and she nodded, quietly chuckling before suddenly closing her eyes, grabbing his hand. She pulled it towards her jaw and held it still over, leaning into it whilst still not looking.

Bucky watched in admiration as she dozed off for a few seconds in the comfort of his touch.

“Alright. I’m gonna call this a day. It’s getting late, I think. You must have punched my sense of time out of me.” She smiled and broke loose from him, heading for the gym door slowly.

“Maybe sleeping isn’t that good of an idea? You could have a concussion!” He warned, worried about her health truthfully.

“Don’t think so highly of yourself.” She joked, making it seem as if giving her a concussion had been something Bucky had strived for. He wanted to oblige and take her to Bruce, or anyone else that might be awake at two in the morning and have the skill to properly help her. “So goodnight, or good morning, or whatever.”

The door slammed shut behind her, leaving Bucky alone in the gym, feeling more guilty than ever.

He was sat at the kitchen table, eating the scrambled eggs which surprisingly enough, Vision had cooked. Steve sat across Bucky, Peter beside Steve, and Tony and Natasha on both short ends when Y/N came sulking down.

“Good morning- Jesus Christ.” Steve gasped as he got a look of her. “What happened to your face?”

The entire left side of her jaw was covered in a rich, purple bruise. As she smiled, she clearly did so more on the right side than the other. “Why don’t you ask Mr. I-Have-A-Metal-Arm?” She said, pointing to a Bucky.

“I’m so sorry.” Bucky repeated and she tried to smile wider but winced, letting it fall back.

“I know, Buck. Heard you the first, hundred, times.” She attempted to reassure him although it had little effect. “You better buy me something amazing to cover this up tho.”

“I don’t think anything can cover that up. That’s brutal.” Natasha said, her nose scrunching up in slight disgust at the vicious color of Y/N’s jaw.

“Thanks.” Y/N sighed, rolling her eyes, and taking a seat by the table. Vision left the stove and came to her aid with a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon. “And an honest thank you to you, Vis.”

“You want some ice for that?” Tony tried to help as Y/N grabbed the chilled glass of orange juice in front of her and held it against her jaw. She shook her head subtly and shut her tired eyes, propping her elbows on the table and leaning her head against her free hand.

“I’m good.” She said and pulled herself together, opening her eyes widely to wake up and taking a sip of the orange juice already by her mouth. “I’ll avoid training sessions with Bucky for awhile though.”

“I’m s-”

“Cut it. I’m alive, aren’t I? Still breathing. Heart’s still pumping.” She said and shoved a fork full of bacon in her mouth. The breakfast carried on, following up with an overly large glass of chocolate milk on Y/N’s part. They all chatted, bickering as usual, before everyone retreated to their own corner of the Tower  to continue their days separately.

As Y/N made it to her room, there were two knocks on the door. She didn’t have to guess who it was. She knew it was Bucky and she knew he would try to apologize once more.

She pulled the door open and barely had time to confirm it was him before a pair of soft lips crashed upon hers. She staggered backwards and Bucky broke loose, eyes blown wide. “Let me take you out to dinner, as an apology for punching you.”

“And you had to kiss me to ask me out!?” She questioned, out of breath. Bucky shrugged.“

“No, I just wanted to.” He said like it was the most normal thing in the world to walk around kissing.

“Well damn…” She closed the space again and savored another kiss, sighing in relief. She tried to not cause herself too much pain, letting him do most of the moving.

“I’m-”

“Don’t you dare say that word one more time or I swear to god I’ll punch your jaw.” She threatened and he chuckled, lips hovering in front of hers.

“It wouldn’t leave as much as a scratch.” His lips curled around hers, tasting the sweetness lingering to them.

“You’re so cocky, you know that? It’s tiring.”

After 72 years of ice and abstinence, Bucky worried his skills in the bedroom might’ve been a little rusty.

When (Y/N) had challenged him to just about the sexiest competition in the history of everything, he’d been absolutely floored. He’d thought about that girl for months: what he’d do to her, what he’d let her do to him (it was a little obsessive if he was honest with himself.) So, as she’d looked at him with darkened eyes and a wicked smile on her lips, he should’ve felt ecstatic, ready to haul her ashes right then and there. Instead, he’d floundered, blurting out the name of a diner a few blocks from the Tower and insisting they go right then.

Two weeks and the best six dates of his entire, excessively long life later, he was preparing to finally take the next step.

Maybe it was how much he’d grown to like (Y/N) and the fear that he would disappoint her, or how much time had passed since the last time he’d knocked a girl’s socks off, but he was freaking out. He felt like such a baby, whining and not doing backflips up and down the hallway at the opportunity to have sex with such a beautiful, kind girl.

He was probably going to hurl as soon as her saw her.

5. Market day

It’s a sunny day and the streets of your city are exactly as you love them: full of life. People chatting animatedly next to stands full of fruit from which their grangers boast, children running through the crowd and mothers behind them yelling to the kids to behave. Inhaling deeply you are pleasantly surprised by the sweet smell of your favorite buns fresh from the oven. Decided, that will be your next stop.

Just  before you mislead the two guards James especially chose to follow you around all day, of course.

Looking at them from the corner of your eye you see how bored they are, one of them can’t stop yawning while the other seems to want to nail himself with something sharp just to feel something. You smile to yourself, that’s part of your plan. You’ve been wandering around the market for hours, looking around, buying here and there but not really doing anything interesting, just making the two poor soldiers dizzy and waiting for they to get their guard down, so you can “get lost” and visit Nat once for all.

alphaandhismate  asked:

Hey Rachel got a question for ya. Do you think Stiles would feel inadequate compared to all the buff sexy werewolves and push himself to the breaking point trying to look like he belongs? Cause I have this headcanon where he decides to work out to make himself look like he belongs beside the wolves but it doesn't work out to well and he winds up doing more harm than good. Which upsets Derek when he finds out (because he loves the idiot but he won't admit it)

Aw I can absolutely see this. Stiles, already prone to insecurity and the feeling of not being good enough, slowly being worn down by that itching knowledge in his skull of being that he’s not as strong as any of his friends, not as attractive as any of his friends, and sure as hell not as useful as any of them, right? Sure, he’s smart. He knows that. But what the hell use is that in battle? He can’t dive in front of a bullet to keep the others from hurting, can’t stand beside the others and fight at anything close to their level.

And no matter how much he smirks at enemies’ jibes and plays off as enjoying being the group’s token human (”means I get to leave all the heavy lifting to you guys, right?”) it’s a feeling that would keep building up over time, pushing at the back of his skull every time the pack insists he be left behind on a certain mission, that he should stay where he’s safe, or gets offhandedly told he’ll just slow the others down. Every time they go running out in the preserve and he gets to sit behind and watch the car. Every time he goes out with the group and finds himself wondering what he looks like in everyone else’s eyes: this circle of beautiful beyond belief, supernaturally perfect people and then… him.

He couldn’t share his worries with the others –– Scott would get that worried look in his eyes and insist Stiles is perfect the way he is. Lydia might not share the same speed and strength as the others but she’s always been supernaturally beautiful, and she’s got her own banshee tricks to help out in a fight. So he keeps it inside, bottles it up… and he starts to push himself. Stays after school lifting weights until his limbs are wrecked from it, goes out running until his legs are shaking under him. Thinking one more lift, one more mile, one step closer to belonging.

And it starts working, too. He’s able to keep up with the pack sometimes, on their more casual runs. He’s gaining muscle, losing any last hints of baby fat. But there are hollowed shadows under his eyes too and he’s not eating enough, probably, but that’s fine. It’s fine when he wrestles with Liam and ends up with a purpled bruise blooming out across his ribs from a too-hard tackle. It’s fine that he can’t really sleep anymore because his muscles are always burning. It’s fine because he’s started looking at pictures of the group after pack events and almost seeing a group of people who fit together, not a handful of perfect people around a lanky, awkward him. Who the hell wouldn’t sacrifice a little comfort and the ability to lift his arms above his head for that?

.-

Derek’s the one who notices first, because of course he is. Drops in through the bedroom window one night like the supernatural stalking creeper he used to be, and finds Stiles collapsed to an exhausted heap against the side of his bed. Too tired and too sore to have stripped off his sweat-stained shirt or make it the extra step to lay down on it. He forces a smile when he spots Derek, but it’s more pained than it should be. Wavers at the edges. Derek ignores his opening jibe, doesn’t comment on the way Stiles tries to push himself up on unsteady palms and falters, a spasm of motion that starts and dies just as fast. Just moves silent, sits down next to him on the floor at the foot of the bed. There’s a world of words in his silence, a disapproving air Stiles can feel deep in his bones, and he finds himself saying “I’m fine,” low and head ducked, like it’s a lie.

It’s not a lie. But it’s not exactly true either, is it?

Derek’s eyes are on Stiles’ face now, flicking down his damp shirt, over his faintly trembling limbs, and it’s like he’s seeing too much suddenly, seeing through walls Stiles is too tired to pull up. People aren’t supposed to see him at this point in the day; they’re supposed to see him in the morning when he has the energy to grin and bounce and keep up with the rest of them like it’s effortless. They’re not supposed to see the tired bruises under his eyes or the way he shakes from hours of trying to hold himself at a werewolf’s level.

He wets his lips, a flash of frustration burning bitter through him.

“Look, I’m not strong like you guys.” It’s not news. It’s been a constant refrain for the past two years of his life, ever since Scott was bit and turned into a superhero sports star girl magnet and left Stiles standing awkwardly in his dust. Stiles couldn’t ask for the bite, Scott wouldn’t understand. And he doesn’t think he wants it either, not really. He doesn’t want the claws or the anchors or the pulls to the moon. He just wants to be able to keep up with them. Wants to not be the funny one in a group of supermodels. Doesn’t want to be the weak one in a group of heroes. Doesn’t want to be the one holding them back.

He bites over a frustrated sound, frowns at Derek’s faintly pinched brows, manages to lift one bone-dead arm and snaps out even more harshly: “I’m not… hot.”

It’s not the whole issue, it barely touches the issue, but it’s too much already and he scowls after he says it, daring Derek to snort or mock him or roll his eyes and agree, obviously, but that searching look only seems to sink deeper and Derek murmurs, “You’re wrong.”

Which is just… it’s worse than laughing. Because Stiles could handle people dismissing him, mocking him. He’s used to that. What he can’t take is Derek fucking Hale feeling so goddamned bad about his patheticness that he’s reduced to lying to try and comfort him.

“Oh, right, sure. I’m hot. You guys are all freaking Greek gods with all the muscle and the… faces.” He snorts, falling back against an overworked spine that protests the pressure. “You can’t even talk. You’ve always been the hottest person ever. You’ve got no idea what it’s like to be the one no one ever wants.”

Derek’s eyes flick down Stiles again, reassessing, and Stiles winces over the realization that Derek’s trying to find something, anything likable on his wiry frame.

Don’t––” He starts, because he physically cannot handle that, but Derek’s saying “You’re wrong,” again, and it’s soft and warm in a way that doesn’t sound like pity.

But Stiles doesn’t let himself feel it. The “oh yeah?” he shoots back is sure and challenging, almost smug in its confidence because maybe he’s not beautiful beyond all reason like the man next to him, maybe he’s not strong and desirable and wanted but at least he’s smart enough to realize that.

Derek lets out a growl of frustration and turns where he’s sitting, crowds in close with palms pressed to either side of Stiles’ thigh, and Stiles is on the edge of rolling his eyes because does Derek seriously think he can intimidate Stiles into changing his mind about himself, but then “you’re wrong” falls out a third time, a too-warm growl of a whisper, and Derek closes the space between their lips.

Stiles loses his conviction in the contact.

Derek’s hands move over him while they kiss, dragging soothing tips and scolding pinches over his wrecked muscles in ways that leave him groaning, touches sinking you’re beautiful and you’re wanted under his skin in ways the best words probably never could. Hands trail down to play across Stiles’ fingers, silently praising the cleverness of them. Beard-rough lips drift up to kiss across his temple and a warmth of admiration seems to melt into him with each press. And Stiles can barely move, arms aching protest as he lifts them to thread into Derek’s hair, body quivering in ways that shift between exhaustion and want.

When Derek finally leans back Stiles whimpers, wanting more but too worn down to chase him. But Derek’s watching him from inches away in the dark room, and there’s no reflected flaws in those dark eyes now. Just you’re beautiful, you’re wanted. You’re important

Stiles runs light thumbs down Derek’s beard, lets out a light laugh he barely recognizes.

“Guess I believe you,”

(And from now on, on nights when the pack goes out running, Stiles and Derek find a more interesting way to occupy themselves by the cars.)
