he is supposed to look at the cards

There are roses on Derek’s doorstep.

No note. No scent trail. After determining that there is nothing inherently magical or deadly about them, he spends the entire rest of the day researching symbolism and archaic demon customs, trying to figure out what kind of death threat he’s just been handed.

It doesn’t occur to him until nightfall, when the neighbors start discussing their romantic dinner plans at a decibel he has trouble tuning out, that he realizes the flowers might not have been delivered with malicious intent.

Because, apparently, today is Valentine’s Day. And apparently someone decided that Derek should receive flowers to celebrate the occasion.

Derek Hale has a secret admirer.

He honestly would have preferred the death threat.

Most of the time, Even loves Jonas.

He does- Jonas is quick witted and intelligent. He loves films and art and Even has the most interesting conversations with Jonas when they’re both high off their ass. Even more interesting ones when they aren’t.

He means, yeah sure, every now and then they butt heads when it comes to Isak because they both love him dearly in their own ways, but at the end of the day; they are always willing to laugh it off into a can of beer.

So they’re chill. Even likes Jonas.

But at this moment, Even wants to break the curly headed fuck’s neck.

“Let’s take marriage for instance,” Jonas says, sipping a can of beer and gesturing wildly to both the other boys in their squad and the girls, “It’s nothing but a capitalistic invention. People throw these huge ceremonies and spend millions of dollars on bullshit like valentine’s day cards and wedding receptions. I mean really– marriage is obsolete in this day and age. What the fuck is a piece of paper going to tell you? Completely unnecessary.”

Even clenches his jaw, because Isak is nodding in his hesitant way, looking interested in the topic. Slowly being convinced maybe.

That just won’t do. Because Even has a ring in his pocket that he’s been carrying around for ages and tonight was supposed to be the night that he was going to drop down on his legs and ask the fucking question.

But fucking Jonas is messing shit up.

“I don’t think it’s obsolete,” Even says through gritted teeth, “Standing up in front of you family and friends and promising yourself to the one person in the world you can’t live without.”

Jonas snorts, “One person you can’t live without? Should we talk about divorce rates?”

The fucker.

Sana, bless her, must notice that Even is about to blow a gasket and maybe jump Jonas in the not at all fun way. She clears he throat and changes the subject easily enough.

But Even glares at him steadily. Clearly boldly enough that Isak gives him a bizarre look and a nudge

Sorry baby, Even thinks, I know he’s your best friend, but I’ll kill him if he affects how you see us.

Jonas stands up and stretches after a minute, pecking Eva’s head in the process. “I’m going to grab some chips.”

His chance. Even stands up, “I’ll help you.”

“Oh no, it’s alright I’m just-”

Even narrows his eyes, “I’ll help you.”

So the kitchen is awkward because Jonas can’t figure out why Even is laser beam staring and him and Even is just crossing his arms and glaring.

“Did I… do something?”

“You’ve gotta stop with this no marriage shit,” Even whispers, moving closer and giving the entrance to the kitchen a surreptitious glance, “You’re killing me, Jonas. Like actually killing me.”

Jonas raises his eyebrows, “What the fuck? Why?”

Even sighs through his nose, “Because I have a fucking ring in my pocket that I’m planning on proposing with in approximately 45 minutes, you shit.”

Jonas’s eyes go wide, “No way! You and Isak are getting married? That’s fucking awesome!”

Even throws his arms up and hisses, “Yeah, it’s awesome. But it’s going to be less awesome when Isak decides suddenly that marriage is a capitalistic trap!”

Jonas winces, “Okay I see your point. Sorry man, I didn’t know.”

Even lets out a breath. At least he was being reasonable. “It’s chill… just cool it a bit until after.”

Noora’s high pitched voice, “Everything okay in there? Where are the chips?”

Jonas pats Even on the back and grins, “This is fucking awesome. Married. Isak is so gonna ask me to be his best man.” And then louder, “We’re coming out now. Couldn’t find them!”

Jonas and Even settle back into the respective seats. There was a brief lull of silence before Jonas cleared his throat, “Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve had a change of heart. Everyone should get married. Marriage is the fucking best.”

spaceless-sea  asked:

How are you? I hope well! Can you do a rfa+v and Saeran having to do seven minutes in heaven? Like honestly not even as drunk just sober. (Requests aren't open;-; but maybe later? Also I rlly love your blog like I'm most done with the masterlist^°^)

Yoosung

  • “You wanna play cards? I brought them with me so we wouldn’t be bored!!”
  • Does he… Does he really not know what we’re supposed to be doing?
  • You looked down at Yoosung, who was already on sitting on the floor shuffling the deck
  • “Lemme guess… you’ve never played Seven minutes in Heaven.”
  • Yoosung paused for a second before shaking his head
  • You sat down next to him and smiled
  • He’s so cute…
  • “So what game do you wanna play, MC?”
  • But then again, this IS Seven minutes in heaven
  • “Strip Poker.”
  • Yoosung’s face turned bright red
  • “H-Huh? Strip?”
  • You smirked
  • “I’ll start.”
  • In one quick moment, your shirt was thrown across the room
  • “Okay, now you’re turn.”
  • Yoosung who had now achieved a new shade of red blatantly stared at your chest
  • “I-I… uhh, w-well-“
  • “SAY SOMETHING, YOU IDIOT!!!”
  • What the hell?
  • Yoosung looked behind you
  • “I think it came from the other side of the door.”
  • You stood up and opened the closet door, and in tumbled Zen and Jumin.
  • “So,” you crossed your arm and looked down at the two very guilty looking boys, “You wanna explain yourselves?”
  • The two of them began stuttering out excuses
  • “W-Well Yoosung’s never played before-“
  • “-I heard you were taking off your shirt-“
  • “-And I thought he might need guidance-“
  • “-So I wanted to hear the rest.”
  • You glared at them
  • “First, Jumin don’t be a perv, and second-“
  • “We were in the middle of something.”
  • You looked back at Yoosung, who had taken off his shirt
  • “And now that MC and I are even, I’d like to get back to the game.”
  • Despite the confidence behind Yoosung’s words, his face was as red as ever
  • You turned back around and smirked
  • “You heard the man!”
  • Jumin and Zen slowly got up, both mumbling curses under their breath.
  • You closed the door behind them
  • “Now, where were we?”
  • In the end the two of you ended up stripping to your underwear and then just playing go fish for the rest of the time

Zen

  • “W-What? I can’t be in a closet alone with MC!! How will I control myself?”
  • You walked over to the closet and gave Zen a smirk
  • “Who says you need to?”
  • 0.1 seconds later Zen was standing in the closet how the hell did he even get there so fast???
  • You closed the door and turned around
  • “So,” you clapped your hands together, “Show me what you got.”
  • Zen smirked
  • “You sure you can handle it?”
  • You raised an eyebrow, “I think you already know the answer to that.”
  • Zen smiled
  • “This is gonna be-“
  • Was all Zen could get out before hitting his head on the light
  • “Ohhh s-shittt…”
  • You rushed over to Zen, who was now bent over in pain
  • “Are you okay? Do you need ice? How bad does it hurt?”
  • Zen looked up at you with hazy eyes
  • “Slooowww down, youuu’reee talking wayyyy toooo fast!!!”
  • I’m not sure what’s more concerning… Zen’s slurred speech or the giant lump forming on his forehead.
  • “We need to get you out of here right-“
  • “NO! I want to give you… seven minutes…in…….”
  • THUD
  • “UHHHHHHH, GUYSOPENTHEDOORZENJUSTPASSEDOUT.”
  • “He did WHAT?”
  • Jaehee swung to door open, her eyes immediately traveling down to unconscious Zen
  • “What happened to his face? And why is the closet light busted??”
  • The rest of the RFA stood behind her, patiently awaiting your answer
  • “Well,” you looked down at Zen and smirked, “I guess he unleashed the beast a little too early.”

Jaehee

  • As soon as Jaehee closed the door she sunk down to the floor and sighed
  • “Finally… peace and quiet.”
  • You nodded, sitting down next to her
  • “Who the hell let Seven DJ anyways?”
  • Jaehee laughed, “I don’t know, but it was a horrible decision.”
  • It would’ve been fine if he just turned the damn the volume down…
  • You looked over at Jaehee, who was responding to an email on her phone
  • “Work’s got you pretty busy, huh?”
  • She gave you a sarcastic glare
  • “Doesn’t it always?”
  • The two of you began ranting about Jumin and the rest of the RFA
  • “I mean, does he think I’m just made out of cat toys? He can’t keep-“
  • “Wait… Jaehee?”
  • “Yeah?”
  • “I think our seven minutes are up… Did they forget about us?”
  • Jaehee checked her phone
  • “It’s been 12 minutes,” she looked back over at you and smiled, “so I think it’s safe to say they have.”
  • The two of you exchanged glances
  • It’s so nice in here…
  • “You wanna stay?”
  • Jaehee’s eyes lit up
  • “I thought you’d never ask!”
  • She set her phone down and yawned
  • “I think… I’ll take a nap.”
  • You reached up and turned the lights off
  • “Sounds good to me.”
  • You stared at the ceiling, waiting for the drowsiness to hit you
  • That was when you felt something warm slump on your shoulder
  • You looked over at Jaehee and she gave you a sleepy smile
  • “Do you mind if I use you as a pillow?”
  • Be still my heart.
  • “Y-Yeah!”
  • Jaehee closed her eyes, and within the next five minutes, she was asleep
  • The next morning Seven found both of you sleeping in his closet
  • And yes he was naked
  • And yes he screamed
  • And yes you and Jaehee both screamed back
  • But it was still the best seven minutes in heaven you’ve ever played even if it wasn’t just seven minutes

Jumin

  • As SOON as the door closed he had you pinned up against the wall
  • “W-Woah, slow down there bud.”
  • Jumin closed his eyes and sighed, letting go of the grip he had on your hips
  • “Sorry,” he backed up and ran his hands through his hair
  • You practically feel him holding himself back
  • “Why are you so worked up??”
  • Jumin leaned back on the wall opposite of you
  • “It’s just, while we were out there, Zen kept… flirting with you.”
  • His nose crinkled when he said the word flirting, as if it were a disgusting word
  • “I know secretly dating is hard, but I really think its best.”
  • You looked up at him, “Especially with everything happening with your company…”
  • Jumin nodded, taking a step toward you
  • “I suppose I can’t blame Zen. You do look ravishing tonight,” Jumin smirked
  • You smiled back at him, giving him a small twirl
  • “Thank you, my boyfriend helped me pick this out.”
  • “I must say, your boyfriend has great taste. I bet he’s handsome, too.”
  • “Oh yes, extremely.”
  • “FIVE MINUTES LEFT YOU TWO LOVEBIRDS!!”
  • Seven’s yelling interrupted your conversation
  • “Hmm,” Jumin looked at you, “Do you think five minutes in enough?”
  • You pushed yourself off of the wall and grabbed Jumin by the tie
  • “Won’t know unless we try.”
  • And as it turns out, five minutes was more than enough time to… scroll through Jumin’s pictures of Elly

Saeran

  • “So.”
  • “Yup.”
  • “This is fun.”
  • “Really fun.”
  • For the first two minutes, those were the only words exchanged between you and Saeran
  • I have to do something to break this silence.
  • You cleared your throat
  • “Uhh… so how are you?”
  • SERIOUSLY??? Is that the best I could come up with?
  • “I’m fine.”
  • “…Cool.”
  • You looked down at your feet
  • I’m good too, thanks for asking.
  • this poor child doesn’t know how to socialize have mercy on him
  • When you looked back up at him, his eyes quickly darted away
  • Was he staring at me?
  • A light blush crossed his face
  • That’s… kinda cute.
  • You bit your lip
  • Well, this is seven minutes in heaven
  • Before your brain could tell you otherwise, you leaned forward and lightly pressed your lips against his
  • After getting over the initial shock that someone was actually kissing him Saeran grabbed your chin and deepened the kiss
  • When you pulled away, both of you were out of breath
  • You leaned back against the wall
  • “…So.”
  • “Yup.”
  • “That was fun.”
  • Really fun.”
  • Seven swung the door open
  • “TIME’S UP!!!”
  • You looked at Saeran and smirked
  • “Let’s do this again sometime.”
  • Saeran followed you out the door and grabbed your wrist
  • He pulled you back and lowered his voice so the other’s couldn’t here
  • “Name the place and I’ll be there.”
  • Oh, this was going to be f u n.

Seven

  • “♪♫YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, MC AND SEVEN IN HEAVEN FOR SEVEN♪♫”
  • You looked back the rest of the group
  • “Please help me.”
  • Jaehee gave you a pitying look and Zen saluted you “in honor of his fallen comrade”
  • Before you could anyone else’s reaction, Seven grabbed your hand and pulled you into the closet
  • “Your closet is a lot smaller than I thought it would be.”
  • Seven let go of your hand and laughed
  • “You do know I wear almost the same thing every day, right?”
  • You reached out to feel one of his shirts
  • “This one is my favorite.”
  • You pointed to the shirt Yoosung had gotten Seven for his birthday
  • It had a picture of the RFA on the front and the word “family” in Arabic on the back
  • “Mine too.”
  • Seven stepped closer to you
  • “You wanna see why I was so excited to get you in here?”
  • You felt your face heat up
  • “W-Well, I mean-“
  • “SAERAN TURN OFF THE LIGHTS!”
  • “What?”
  • As soon as the lights went off, Seven turned you around so you were facing the door
  • He wrapped his arms around you, giving you a tight hug from behind
  • “Look up.”
  • You tilted your head to look up at the ceiling
  • “Oh my…”
  • Glow-in-the-dark stars were scattered all over the top of the closest, turning the dull ceiling into a tiny galaxy
  • “It’s beautiful.”
  • Seven buried his face in the crook of your neck
  • “So are you.”
  • And that’s when it hit you
  • You were literally in heaven in with Seven
  • “Thank you.”

NHL!Bitty, Part X - Body Issue(s)

ESPN Magazine comes calling. Eric makes a creative choice. Jack gets excited.

NHL!Bitty Masterpost!

Cold. Colder. Freezing.

“The Body Issue, Bits. You can’t turn this down, and if I did it for you, you have to do it for me.”

Actually, a three-hour naked photoshoot on ice is definitely something he can turn down, but he promised Jack he would participate if asked. Granted, it was a sleep-deprived, post-coital promise, but a promise just the same.

A copy of the spread from Jack’s issue is already tastefully hung in the master bathroom of his townhouse. Eric will have to get his framed to match.

It’s not about the nudity, except, maybe it is a little bit, but he’s worked hard to get his body to look this good. His ass may never be in the same arena as Jack’s magnificent backside, but hell, if the whole world got to ogle Jack, why can’t Eric get some love, too?

AFTG Headcanons

Okay okay so. So here are some of the mess of headcanons I sent in response to an ask that wasn’t actually about this mess of headcanons (whoops). But I had wanted to post them anyway soooo here ya go.

(I had to limit it to Andreil and just one per the rest of the monsters because it just got too dang long.)

ANDREIL:

  • When Neil is upset and Andrew isn’t around he holds the back of his own neck.
  • They don’t ever really celebrate Valentines day. But the day after Valentines Neil always goes to the store and buys all the candy when it’s half off (he does it after halloween too).
  • Neil gets chapped lips (it’s all that running around and huffing and puffing). He buys chapstick in the sweetest flavors available. You know, no particular reason :).
  • Neil wouldn’t say he has a favorite song. But when pushed he claims it’s “Runaway Train”. Andrew recognizes it immediately as the song he put as Neil’s ringtone (Andrew gives him a long look Neil pretends not to notice).
  • Andrew can sew (there’s no other way he has jeans that fit okay. And I refuse to believe he would allow his Dangerous Boy aesthetic to be ruined by frayed ragged hems). Cass taught him.
    • It’d meant a lot to him, as a kid, that his foster mother hadn’t just bought him new clothes, but put in the time and effort to fit them just for him.
    • Maybe she knew why he was staring at her, or maybe she truly believed he was just interested in what she was doing. Either way she invited him to sit by her and quietly and patiently explained what she was doing. He never said a word. But he never looked away from her or her hands either.
  • Andrew also sews the hems of Aaron’s jeans. Aaron assumes it’s because Andrew either mixed up their clothes or just wanted to be able to steal his.
  • Andrew only sews the hems of jeans he buys for Neil. All the pants Neil buys are atrocious and Andrew wants them destroyed as quickly as possible.
    • (I also have too many “Andrew Sewing” Headcanons. I don’t know how this happened.)
  • Andrew never really gets excited about his own exy accomplishments. But if something almost like happiness blooms in his chest at the thought of Neil’s reaction to them? Well that’s his own business.

THE MONSTERS:

  • Aaron and Randy Boyd stay in contact. Not hugely or anything, but enough that she gets an invite to his & Katelyn’s wedding and receives a Christmas card from them every year after their twins are born. She still hugs him every time they see each other.
  • Andrew takes Thea to Colombia. He doesn’t drug her. And Kevin only knew he, Neil, and Andrew were supposed to be the only ones going to Colombia, and didn’t know any different until Andrew and Thea emerged from a back room. They‘re both worse for the wear, and neither of them look at each other (neither of them was look at anyone but Kevin), but they’re both alive and more or less unharmed.
    • No one knows what happened in that room, but when they get to the table Andrew tells him that Andrew and Neil are staying in Colombia and Thea will drive him back. It’s the first time Andrew’s leaves the ex-Raven alone with Kevin.
  • Before Nicky graduates Neil asks him how you let someone know you care about them long distance (not in those exact words but the point came across okay). Andrew is in the room and Nicky has a strong feeling he’s listening so he figures this is they’re way of asking him for long-distance relationship advice since Andrew is about to graduate too. He talks to them for a long time about the importance of communication and staying in touch. He says you should make it a priority to call at least once a week.
    • Nicky leaves for Germany and it takes him a month and four phone calls to make the connection.
      • He cries.

BONUS HEIGHT SHENANIGANS:

  • Andrew and Neil are living with Kevin (and I think Nicky?) at the end of their first year. They are too tall and Andrew and Neil are so small (I am 5′0″ I speak from experience here). They both also have impeccable aim. They frequently just throw stuff across the room to knock down whatever they want.
    • Eventually Neil brings old exy racquet into the dorm one day, and everyone assumes its because hes too exy obsessed to throw it away.  They learn the truth when they catch him using it to swipe something off the shelf and catch it in the net.
      • Andrew won’t use it. He says he refuses to touch an exy racquet more than he already does. He continues to throw shit and pointedly leave any destruction for the offender to clean up.
        • Kevin learns his lesson after he made the mistake of thinking putting Andrew’s sugary cereal on a top shelf was a clever idea to make him eat healthier. Kevin found Andrew calmly eating his cereal surrounded by scattered fruit loops and the remains of Kevin’s phone.

You have no idea how you got yourself into this situation. Seemingly only a few seconds ago you were afraid to go out of your house, hoping not to meet him and the next he had you pinned against the wall, making you feel all sorts of things. And now! Now you’re sitting, playing that stupid strip poker he came up with it. Luckily for you, you were so much better at this, still having all your clothes on. You watched him take off his shirt and throw it on the ground. You took the wine glass and sipped your drink, hoping he won’t notice you staring.

“How the fuck I keep losing against you is beyond me,” he sighed, leaning his head against the armchair. “I need another drink.”

He stood up and went to the kitchen. He kept doing that every time he lost, getting more and more irritated when he came back. Mostly because his phone has been ringing non stop all evening. You heard him argue with someone again before he hung up and continued the trail of thought he had.

“It’s been like what? The 5th time I lost now?” he shouted from the kitchen.

“6th,” you corrected him.

“And here I hoped I will get to see you in all your glory,” he pouted.

“Keep whishing,” you thought, standing up and picking his shirt up. You put in next to his other clothes. At least he still had his pants on. You noticed something fall out of the shirt and bent down to pick it up. You couldn’t believe this. It was a card. That sneaky bastard was cheating all this time! But you still managed to win, the goddess of fortune was on your side.

“You weren’t supposed to see that,” startled, you jumped up. You didn’t feel him approach you from behind at all. You turned around to look at him.

“What’s this? You cheater ~” you teased him, waving the card in front of his face. He quickly snatched him from your hand.

“You left me no other choice.”

“Yeah right! I knew you were a cheater. I noticed it the first time we played.”

“Oho!.. You noticed? The first time?” this caught his attention. He took a few steps to you, still holding the wine bottle in one of his hands. “Were you watching me?”

You started blushing, of course you were. He was sitting right across you but that wasn’t the only reason. He took a few more steps to you, till you hit the table with your back. He set the bottle on it, cornering you between his hands. You put your palms against his well toned chest in attempt to push him off a little but he kept his stance. You could feel his heart beating.

“Were you?” he whispered to your ear, leaning closer.

“Weren’t you?” you retorted. A smirk appeared on his face as he looked you in the eyes.

“Caught me red handed,” he breathed out. He wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you to him. “That’s what makes you special,” he said, before clashing his lips with yours. You didn’t know what you expected but you must say the wine tasted better off his lips. He pushed you to the table, before lifting you up and setting you on top of it, only then breaking the kiss but he still was so close, you could breathe in his air.

“Are we too drunk or do you really want this?” he whispered. You hooked your legs around his waist and you chuckled as he kissed you again, picking you up and going in the direction of his room. “I will take that as a yes.”

You heard his phone ring again but you two completely ignored it. He threw you on the bed, almost falling on top of you. Your hair spreading everywhere.  He took a few strands off your face, stroking them gently.

“Shit, with all this obsession to play with you, I never got the chance to tell you, how beautiful you are,” instead of letting him see you blushing, you used this opportunity to get another kiss, yanking on the tie he still was wearing for some reason, you ran your tongue over his lips.

“So needy,” he breathed out before going in for it. As he swirled his tongue around yours, he tugged your hair slightly to allow better access. He pulled away to get some air but you two were still connected by a slim trail of saliva. He bit down on his lip.

“Shit,” he said, nibbling down on your ear, sending shivers down your spine. He continued from the ear down to your neck, kissing and sucking on your skin, making sure to leave marks. You could hear his phone going off in the distance.

“Don’t,” you panted out, raking through his hair with your fingers. “Don’t answer.”

“I wasn’t planning to,” he said, shoving his knee between your thighs, he got one hand under your skirt and began hiking it up before you stopped him.

“How about you start from the top?”

“How about you don’t interrupt and let me take care of things,” he smirked, getting a hold of your arms and pinning them above your head, still doing what you suggested. He began unbuttoning your shirt but he quickly got tired of it and quite literally ripped it open.

“Wonwoo!” you whined, “This shirt was expensive.”

“Don’t worry, I will buy you a thousand more like it, after this,” he took it off and threw it on the ground along with his tie. You couldn’t help but notice how stunned he was.

“What? What is it?”

“They’re perfect,” he said more to himself than to you. He cupped your breasts. “So perfect, they fit right into my hands.”

“Wait for what you will see when you take this off then,” you teased.

“Can’t wait to find out,” he unclasped your bra. As if knowing what’s going to happen tonight you even put on the one that opens up in the front. Maybe it was the alcohol or maybe it was just him but somehow you didn’t feel even slightly embarrassed exposing your half naked body like that. He went straight for one of them, planting kisses and sometimes sucking harshly while kneading the other. He pulled away, admiring his work, he brushed over the marks he left, making you fell sparks all over your body. Your breathing hitched as you couldn’t take the tension anymore.

“Wonwoo-“ you whimpered.

“You asked for this yourself,” he teased, getting one of your nipples between his teeth and biting on it, making you moan.

“I would prefer if you were louder,” he took it whole into his mouth, you could feel his tongue snake  around it, when he released it with a pop. You immediately realized what it was. His phone. Again.

“Don’t you dare,” you ordered.

“Those pricks,” he hissed before giving you a quick peck on the lips and standing up.

“Wonwoo!” you shouted after him. What an asshole! Is he seriously going to leave you hanging like this? You lay down on the bed waiting for him to come back. After listening to his shouts who were incomprehensible from this distance, for at least five minutes, you clasped your bra back on and took your shirt from the ground, putting it on. You got off the bed and went to where he was. As you got closer you could hear the bits of the conversation.

“I said I’m not coming a hundred times today… No… No, it’s not about her… Can’t you just raid them and be done with it?.. Why am I even needed?.. No, you listen to me you motherfu-“

“Fuck!!” he shouted, smashing, his phone on the ground. His chest was rising from heavy breathing. You could see that he was pissed. Something that still scared you.

“Those idiots can’t do anything without me,” he clenched his fists, before turning around and noticing you standing in the doorway. He came up to you and started buttoning your shirt up.

“Is everything okay?” you asked him.

“Yeah,” he said, avoiding your gaze. “Work,” he simply stated.

He had trouble with the buttons though because he ripped half of them off a few minutes ago, so he got his shirt from the armchair, where you placed it before. It was way too big for you but you loved it, it had his smell rubbed off on it. He buttoned you up all the way to the top and you felt like a child, letting him dress you up like that.

“Is that it? Just like that?”

“I’m sorry but this is important…” he sighed. “I must say that this is way harder for me than for you.”

You caught up with what he meant right off the bat, sparing a quick glance down to his waist. He went to the hall to get your shoes and you closely followed after him.

“I already called for your ride back home, so don’t worry about that,” he explained. He gave you your shoes but you didn’t feel like putting them on. “Please don’t get mad… I feel like… I finally got to talk to you, even touch you without you running away… I want to know that I still have a chance.”

You didn’t know what to say, him saying those things didn’t feel like him at all, you were used to seeing him all cheeky and sly so you just gave him a smile while he guided you to the elevator. He went inside of it and gave you one last passionate kiss, he looked you in the eyes still holding onto your bottom lip with his teeth for a while before stepping out and pressing the button for the ground floor.

“When?” you asked.

“Be patient,” he said, as the door closed.

As soon as you were alone you pressed your head against the cold metal wall of the elevator. Oh my god! Were you about to have a one night stand with your ‘stalker’? That’s so not like you. Or could it have been something more? You were completely spaced out that you realized you need to get off when other people started getting in. You walked into the lobby and ignoring the looks people were giving you, started putting your high heels on.

“You must be Y/N.”

“Jesus! Don’t scare me like that!” you looked up to see a man, almost as handsome as Wonwoo is.

“I’m Seungcheol. I will take you home. Come with me,” he said, going to the exit. You quickly finished putting your shoes on and followed after him.

“Were you the one who called him just now?”

“Nope. He has his own things to take care of,” he opened the back door of his car for you.

“Can’t I sit in the front?”

“It will be safer if you sit in the back,” he said. You decided not to argue and got in. The back windows were tinted. Maybe that’s what he meant. Why are you so trusting anyway? At least you can blame it on you being quite drunk if anything happens.

“I live on-“

“I know where you live,” he said, looking at you through the rear view mirror and starting the engine. “Wonwoo told me all about you. Actually the only thing he has been talking about for the past months was you.”

You wondered what he knew and if Wonwoo and him are close. You decided to use this opportunity to find out something about him because he seemingly knew everything there is to know about you.

“I heard he lost against you,” he was the first to speak again. “That was a big surprise for all of us. He hadn’t lost in ages,” he laughed.

“Is that good or bad?” you asked him.

“Depends,” he gave you a quick glance again. “What were you two doing up there?”

“Why cards?” you changed the subject quickly.

“It’s almost the only thing he’s good at. He got himself in a pretty nasty situation. He needed money. The easiest way for him to get some was poker,” he took a sharp turn and you slid down the seat. You found the seatbelt and fastened it. How fast is he driving?

“What did he need the money for?”

“If you don’t know this, it means he didn’t tell you on purpose. I guess if he wants to, he will tell you yourself one day,” he shrugged. After taking a few more turns, you were already home.

“Last question,” you said. “Who are you exactly?”

“I’m the leader.”

“The leader?” you repeated. “Of what?”

“He never told you that too?” he started laughing again. “Then the only thing I can tell you right now is that I’m his boss.”

Is he serious? Leader? Boss? What the hell is he talking about? Both of them are suspicious after all.

“Getting serious though,” he said, turning in his seat and sending you a glare. “I hope I never see you again. You distract him too much,” he leaned over the seats and opened the door for you. “Now, could you please get out of my car?”

You gave him a quick thanks and stepped out, slamming the door shut. You watched him speed away, down the street. Rude.

▲▼▲▼▲

He told you to be patient but it has already been a few weeks till your little get together. You had to finish these documents by the end of the week but everything from the clock to the thoughts of him sidetracked you. Someone knocked at your door and you got up from your place on the sofa to go get them. You looked through the keyhole and opened them with the speed of light.

“Wonwoo?” you questioned.

He came in and kicked the door close with his feet, wrapping his arms around your waist. He started kissing your neck and you had to push him off.

“Wonwoo are you drunk?” you could smell the alcohol from here.

“I need you,” he said, embracing and holding on to you tightly. He nuzzled his head in your neck. “Sometimes… I just can’t do this.”

“Do what?” you asked but he was quiet. “Wonwoo?.. Are you?.. Are you crying?”

You brushed his hair off his face. He was actually half asleep. Great.

“How much did you drink? Why were you drinking in the first place?” you threw his hand, around your shoulder and dragged him to the bed. Man is he heavy. You dropped him down but as if he waiting for this precise moment, he grabbed your hand and pulled you to the bed. He rolled over, so he could be on top.

“What are you doing?”

“Finishing what we started.”

“I’m not doing anything with you tonight, you’re too drunk.”

He hovered above you for a few seconds. Gazing into your eyes when he plopped down on top of you.

“You’re right,” he whined. “I want to remember every second of it.”

“Wonwoo, could you maybe get off? You’re heavy.”

He did as you asked but still didn’t let go and instead snuggled up to you.

“I’m staying over,” he said.

“Of course you are,” you rolled your eyes.

“You know,” he started again. “I never won against you.”

“So?”

“So…” he said, drawing your body closer to him. “I still can’t let you go,” he whispered into your ear.

How to Love Like Us (Ethan x Reader)

Description:  Ethan is asked to join his ex for a sit down video for a YouTube channel where they are instructed to ask each other about their relationship.  As they move through their conversation, travelling through the past, a question comes up that has yet to be discussed.  The response Ethan receives is one he never expected.

Word Count: 2,862

Warnings: Talk of depression. Language.

A/N: This is based off of YouTube videos such as Hurt Bae and other couple one on one interviews with each other.  Thank you to @scuteedolans for encouraging me with writing this piece.  In this Ethan is about 20-21 years old.  I hope you enjoy it!

 Your POV:

It had been 6 months since I had last seen him.  I knew that we were about to enter the room at the same time to sit in those chairs, face to face, with nothing just a stack of questions and never-ending eye contact.  Sat in the center of a nearly empty room were two, tall director’s chairs set so that we would be across from each other.  A couple cameras were set up to record with the camera men standing behind them, just waiting for us to take our places.

I never thought that I would be in one of these “exes ask questions’ videos, but when I was told that Ethan was asked to do one, I felt like I at least owed it to him after the way we left off, so reluctantly I agreed to do it with him.

“Y/n, are you ready?” I turned to face the producer who had set this whole thing up.  I’m sure my eyes were filled with fear and hesitancy.

I took a deep breath and nodded my head.  Was I actually ready to face him?  Did I have enough time to prepare myself for what was to come?  I wasn’t told ahead of time what these questions were going to be.  It was obvious that there would be questions that would catch me off guard or would be ones that I didn’t want to answer, but I signed the form that I would be completely honest and open throughout the whole thing.

“Is Ethan in place?” she said as she pressed the ear piece closer, waiting for the answer.  “Okay, perfect, let’s get ready.” She placed her hand on my shoulder, “You’re going to do great.  We can take breaks when needed and you don’t have to ask to get up.” Her hand gave me a quick squeeze.  “Do you need a tissue?” she handed it to me without waiting for my response.

I looked at my feet the whole time I walked to my seat, too many thoughts racing through my mind for me to comprehend.  Once I was standing next to the chair, I looked up to meet Ethan’s eyes.  He looked at me with a warmth that made my heart skip a beat the same way it did the first time he ever looked at me.

We both picked up the notecards from our seats before finally sitting down.  It took me a solid 30 seconds to adjust in my seat whereas it only took Ethan a moment to find a comfortable position.  He tapped his cards against his thigh to straighten them up, his eyes still trained on mine.

“Would you like me to go first?” he asked quietly.

“Yes, please.” My voice could hardly be heard. It was like my voice had caught up in my throat.

“Okay.” He lifted the first card, reading it to himself before sharing it with me.  A small smile formed at the corner of his lips, “How did we first meet?” he placed the card at the back of the stack.

I laugh a bit at the memory, “We were both at Best Buy.” He flashed a toothy smile, “You and Grayson were looking for a new camera while I was looking for a new lens.”

“Grayson was doing all of the work while I was taking pictures of myself on each camera.” Ethan filled in the next part, shaking his head at himself.

“You kept trying to take selfies with me in the background to make me feel uncomfortable, but it didn’t work.” I added, thinking back to that day.  I had noticed Ethan moving from camera to camera, turning it toward his face and snapping picture after picture.

“And you,” he pointed right at me, “finally posed for a picture.  You flipped me off in the background.” He broke out in a small fit of laughter.

I nodded, “I did.  You deserved it.”

“You’re right I did.” He paused before nodding at the cards in my hands.

Flipping the top one over I read it aloud without taking a look for myself.  I figured that it would be a better idea to just get it out.  “Did I ever do anything that made you question whether we were supposed to be together or not?  If so, what was it?”  The question rolled off my tongue much easier than it would have if I had read it in my head first.

A frown formed on his face, his eyebrows knitting together.  He was taking a while to respond and it was making me more nervous than it probably should have.  “Nothing you ever did made me question us being together.  You were everything I hoped for and more.”

My lips tightened, folding in as I tried to fight back the emotions I was feeling.  He said it in such a light tone, but the hurt that was in his eyes made my heart want to explode.  I tried to find the words to respond with, but there it was like fireworks, response after response exploding in my mind but fizzling away all too soon.

Before I could even say anything he read his next card, “If you could describe our sex life in 3 words, what would they be?” I was surprised at how well he held it together as he asked.  I knew that he wanted to explode with laughter by the playfulness in his eyes.

I bit my lip to suppress my grin, “Amazing, loving, and…” I tapped my chin, “adventurous.” I absent mindedly played with a piece of hair that was brushing against my face.

“Oooh, adventurous!” he wigged his eyebrows and shoulders at the same time.  I immediately hid my face in my hands, embarrassed yet amused by his response.  “Don’t be so shy!” he leaned forward and gently hit my leg with his cards.

“I can’t help it!” I argued, pulling out my next card, “What’s your favorite memory of us?”

“Oh I don’t even have to think about this one!” he clapped his hands together.  “My favorite memory is the time we went on the jet ski and I let you drive it for the first time ever.  It was only a minute in and you knocked us into the water!”

“I was so excited!  Guess the excitement got the best of me.” I giggled like a school girl.

He shook his head, laughing, “When we came up we realized that you flooded the engine somehow so we had to swim it back to shore which took like a half hour.”

“Then we got to the dock and you refused to help me out until I admitted that it was all my fault.  So when you finally helped me out I pushed you back in.”

“And you told me it was out of love.  And I just knew, that I couldn’t let you go that day. I’ve never felt the way you made me feel.” He laughed, throwing his head back.  “God, no one could love the way we loved.  No one knew how to love like us.”

“We did have an epic love.” I admitted, wishing I could relive all the moments we shared.

“Next question.  What was your first impression of me?” he raised an eyebrow.

I shrugged, “That you were a goon.  A cute goon, but a goon none the less.”

“You loved every bit of this!” he held his hands out as if to say, ‘look at me’.

I shook my head, heat rising to my cheeks.  “Let’s move on.  Are you in a relationship now?” my chest tightened.  I wasn’t sure I wanted to hear his answer, but the question had already been asked and there was no taking it back.

“No.” he answered.  Short, sweet, and to the point.  “Are you?” he retorted.

“That’s not your question to ask, it’s mine.” I raised my brows at him.

           “So you are.” He deadpanned.

“No.  I haven’t talked to any other guy since you.  But it was my question to ask, so…” I made a childish face, placing the card at the back of the stack.

He chuckled, “Always have to be sarcastic don’t you?”  I shrugged in response, “I miss your sarcasm.”  We both got silent.  He immediately looked down at his next card, “What was your favorite thing about me?

“Your smile.” I responded.  “Your smile when you were excited, your smile when you were happy, your smile when I told a horrible joke, when we rode rollercoasters, when we were at comedy movies.  The way you smiled for me when I was sad and when I needed courage.  You’re smile whenever we were together.  I love your smile.”

He purposely grinned from ear to ear.  He kept moving his head back and forth to make sure that I saw each angle of his infamous smile.  Of course I laughed because almost everything he does makes me feel an unexplainable joy that was unique to only him.

“You were the reason I smiled.” Of course he had to pull on my heart strings a little more.  I was already feeling numerous different emotions and his actions and comments were only making those feelings stronger.

“You were the reason I smiled.” I answered truthfully. Again we shared a moment of silence before moving on.  “What is the one thing you regret about our relationship or regret not doing during it?” I asked.  Why did these questions have to go so deep?

His head turned to the side, his bottom lip tucked between his teeth.  He kept looking at me out of the corner of his eye, but he couldn’t get himself to turn to me.  I let him take his time; I didn’t want to rush him.  “I regret not telling you I loved you more.  You deserved more ‘I love yous’.  I wish I would have told you how much I love you every second of every day.”

The tears finally started to well up in my eyes as he finally looked at me.  The Kleenex that had been sitting on my lap was now in my hands, ready to soak up any tears when they finally fell.  He had seen me cry enough already during the breakup, I didn’t want him to see me cry again.

I pushed myself up from the chair, setting the cards down on the seat.  My feet carried me out of the view of the camera and off set.  Ethan didn’t follow me, he remained in his seat, his head turned back to the side again, only this time his eyes were focused on the floor. I could feel my heartrate picking up and my breathing going deeper than it had in the past 6 months.  My hands were covering my face as I took the time to collect myself.  It was a solid 3 minutes before I built up the courage to return to my seat.

“Sorry for making you wait.” I mumbled as I returned to my position.

He shrugged, “It’s okay, you needed a break. I didn’t mind.  I’ll always wait for you.”

I tried to ignore his comment because there was only so much more I could take before I had a full on meltdown.  “It’s your turn.” I gestured towards the final card in his hand.

“Oh, yeah.” He whispered.  “Okay, my last question is… Why did we break up?” his voice trailed off at the end.  “I don’t even know the answer to this question; you broke up with me and never told me why.” The curiosity in his voice was almost over shadowed by the pain.

When we broke up there were so many things going on in my mind and when I made the decision I just left him with only a few words spoken and a thousand tears shed.  He deserved more than that but I was too much of a coward to tell him the reason.

“I… I broke up with you because… I just…” I stuttered through my words.  I never thought the day would come where we would be sitting face to face with nowhere to run, and I would be forced to answer this question.  “I broke up with you because I wasn’t okay.  I was filled with a sadness that couldn’t be lifted.  It weighed heavy on my heart.  There were things that were going on in my life that I didn’t share with you because I know how easily worried you get.  I was just so sad.”

“I could have helped you.  Why didn’t you tell me?  We could have worked through it together!” his voiced raised a bit but not too much.

“Ethan…” I took a deep breath.  “Ethan, you were the only thing that could make me happy, but when you were gone my world got darker.  Do you know how scary that is?  How scary it is to know that you are depending on one person to bring happiness into your life?”

“If you would have told me…”

I cut him off, “If I would have told you that would have put pressure on you.  Pressure that you didn’t deserve.  I needed to learn to be okay on my own.  I can’t depend on someone all my life.  It was up to me to choose the path, it was up to me to choose recovery, and it was up to me to let you continue on your journey without me holding you back. There were many times I wanted to call you.  I wanted to tell you what was going on.  I wanted to ask you to rescue me.  But I had to be my own hero.”

He ran his hand through his hair, a frazzled sigh leaving his mouth.  “What happened?” he whispered.

“I was depressed.  At first I thought that there must have been something to trigger it, but there wasn’t. Sometimes people just get sad and there’s no explanation.  I started to pick apart everything in my life.  I wasn’t happy with the way I looked.  I was constantly searching for flaws on myself; it was almost an addiction for me.  I hated my job.  I chose to do what my parents wanted me to do.  I’m an accountant!  I fucking hate numbers!  I wanted to be a writer, I wanted to tell the stories built up in my imagination!  I wanted to tell our story!  And… I thought I wasn’t good enough for you.” Once I finished I took a deep breath.  I closed my eyes so that I could just breathe.  The silence allowed me to hear my own heartbeat, my pulse pounding in my head. I could hear Ethan’s breathing. It was a sweet rhythm that brought me peace faster than anyone else could.

“You were always enough for me.” I felt his hand take mine in his.  “You are always going to be enough for me.”

“But in my head I wasn’t even enough for myself.” I made eye contact with him.  “And I deserve to be enough for myself.”  I turned his hands over and traced the lines imprinted in them.

“How do you feel now?” he asked, his eyes watching my fingers dance against his skin.

I smiled, “These past 6 months I’ve been working on myself. A big part of it goes into my writing. I’m almost done with the first draft. I’m happier now.  It’s a work in progress, but there have been many successes.”

“I’m happy that you’re feeling better and I’m happy you’re writing again.” He encouraged me, “I hope you continue to do so.”

“I haven’t finished it quite yet…” I lifted my fingers from his hand, leaning back against the chair.  He leaned back as well, looking hurt that I pulled away.  “There’s one more question by the way.”

“Hit me.” He said, tapping his hands against his legs.

“It says… Do you still love me?” my hands tightened around the card.  “You don’t have to answer that.”

He held up his hand, “I will always love you.  You were my world.”

           “And you were my world.”

We sat there, eyes connected, voices off.  The workers dimmed the lights around us, leaving us in a peaceful darkness.  The cameras were turned off, all of the room was silent.  I stood up and Ethan mirrored my actions, our eyes still trained on each other’s.  He stepped forward, his hand sliding up my neck, delicately pulling me closer to him. He leaned forward, resting his forehead against mine.  I could hear the shuffling of feet carrying the camera men away, leaving us two alone.

“God, I’ve missed you.” He whispered.  I could feel his warm breath against my lips.

“And I, you.” My fingers lifted and played with the hair at the nape of his neck.

“Please, come home.” I could feel his thumb moving in circles against my skin.

“Okay.” I whispered, lifting my head a bit.

“I told you.  I’d always wait for you.” He kissed me softly, whole heartedly, and gently. And although I never quit loving him, I somehow managed to fall even more in love.

Cube

Prompt:  You ask, I shall deliver. Headcanon that Logan is the king of solving Rubix cubes. ~ @flyingthroughthemoonlight

CW: None

Disclaimer: I have only ever been able to make one side of a Rubix cube the same color. All the information herein is based on a lazy google search. Apologies to actual cubers.

Pairings: Polyamsanders (platonic or romantic)

They’re all piled in the commons, a movie on TV, and at first Virgil doesn’t think anything of it–Logan is usually doing something with his hands, either writing notes, or flipping through his vocab cards, or working one of those infuriating puzzles where two pieces of metal are twisted together and you’re supposed to be able to pull them apart (Logan never fails at those, either–he studies them for a few minutes, then does something with his hands and fingers and bam. Two nails. It drives Virgil crazy).

So all things considered, a Rubix cube is almost…mundane. Cliche.

But it’s not that Logan’s solving the cube. It’s that–and Virgil realizes this with a growing sense of disbelief–Logan is doing so without looking.

They had perfected muggle-wizard hybrid party games.  The most recent favorite during the 8th year common room parties was something like a mixture of spin-the-bottle and truth-or-dare but each challenge was pulled out of a hat and each “truth” card was fixed with a charm keeping the person from lying.

The hat currently hovered in front of Pansy.  She pulled a card out of the hat.

“Tell the group your most recent horribly embarrassing moment.” Pansy read as her cheeks were turning a darker shade of pink than what the firewhiskey had already given her.

A few ooh’s and no’s sounded from the others before Pansy started again, “I was, oh Merlin help me, I was out shopping and I stopped by the ladies’ room and on my way out,” she stopped, sighing deeply, “I didn’t realize my skirt was tucked into my panties.  It wasn’t until a shop clerk was staring that I noticed.”

“With an ass like that, though, what have you got to be embarrassed about,” Seamus asked.

Pansy answered with her face in her hands, “The panties were plain cotton.”

Harry assumed this was supposed to mean something in Pansy-speak, but couldn’t imagine what.

“Oh, honey,” someone said.

Without any consideration for recovery, the hat relocated itself stopping in front of Draco.  He sat there, the only one not dressed in pajamas, with his glass of firewhiskey obviously doing his best to look cool.  After a glance at the card he pulled, he sighed.

5 Times When Peter Parker had a completely obvious crush on you

1) He anonymously sent you a copy of your favorite book

Peter overheard you talking to one of your friends in the hallway of school. “I just cannot believe,” you were saying, “that A Tale of Two Cities is my favorite book and I don’t own a copy of it!”

Gwen, the friend by your side, shrugged. “Buy it.”

“Ugh, but that’s so much work,” you sighed. “I’d have to go all the way to the store and talk to someone to purchase it.”

Peter closed his locker, eyeing you from the side. You had moved on from the topic, slinging your red and black checkered bag over your shoulder and walking away.

He waved to you nervously and was delighted when you smiled to him. “Hi, Peter,” you say before continuing on.

The following morning shocked you because there was a package inside your locker. Well, more of a present.

It was wrapped neatly in gold paper with a ribbon on top and a note card with your name on it.

You looked around the hallway-it was still just morning time, students still filing into the school. You supposed it couldn’t have been hard for someone to break into your locker seeing as you spend every minute you can spare by sleeping in. Who, exactly, thought it would be a good idea to start high school at seven in the damn morning?

Either way, you hesitantly unwrapped the paper.

You couldn’t help but squeal in delight when you saw the contents; a book! Not just any book, but your favorite book!

You’d been talking to your friend, Gwen, about how you had yet to own a copy of it just the day before now. Perhaps she had something to do with it?

You grinned while you held the book to your chest, retreating to class.

Peter waved to you from his locker and you waved back.

2) You were gushing about your crush on Spider-Man

Michelle laughed at you from her side of the table. “You’re utterly insane, [Nickname], you know that?”

You pouted. “I’m not. I’m just saying that Spider-Man and I will probably ended up making out at some point. It’s bound it happen. I’ve read the fan-fiction on tumblr, Michelle, and I know at least one third of it was written by you.”

She rolled her eyes when you pointed at her with a plastic spork. “Hey, so on a totally different-and normal- note, can one of my friends sit with us today?”

You put her hand over your chest in mock terror. “You have friends other than me? That’s bull,” you laughed.

Michelle leaned back on her cafeteria seat. “Nah, he’s a little and helpless puppy-nerd. Yo, Peter!”

You looked back and smiled when Peter Parker made his way over. He set his bag beside yours and you pulled a seat out for him. “[Y/n], you know Parker, right?” Michelle asked, gesturing between you both.

“Yeah, sort of,” you replied happily. “You were in my biology Freshmen year! And we have lockers close together,” you told Peter, as though he didn’t remember it himself. Trust me, he did.

“So Peter, enlighten us both with your ever so smart nonsense,” Michelle purred, resting her chin in her elbow. “Do you think [Y/n] has a chance with Spider-Man?”

Your eyes widened and you promptly kicked your friend underneath the table. “Why?” you hissed.

Michelle laughed over her wince of pain.

“Uhm. W-why would you want a…chance…with Spider-Man?” Peter asked, looking at you. “Because,” you replied slowly. “He’s-well he’s the type of guy who just-”

“Because [Y/n] has a huge crush on him,” Michelle answered for you.

The rest of the day, Peter imagined what it’d be like for him to swoop you up in his arms while wearing his suit.

3) He offered to be your date when yours stood you up

The Midtown High School committee always held a party right smack in the middle of the year. It acted as a fundraiser and a survey for student interests at the same time.

This year, the theme is super heros! Everyone that would show up was meant to be dressed as a super hero, whether real or fictional. You would get to take pictures with little kids who showed up and what not. Plus, when the photography portion is over, there would be a marathon of hero movies in the theatre of the school-food and drinks provided.

Someone had ended up asking you out to this school event. You supposed he was cute enough. The plan was that you’d buy the tickets and he’d pay you back at the end of the night. You guys even decided to go as a super hero couple!

So you now stood in line at your school, handing money to Gwen. Gwen is the type of girl who is in ever single club at the school so it didn’t surprise you that she is also apart of the committee. “So,” she grinned, “I hear you’re going with Dreamy Danny?”

You blushed, looking away from her as she counted the money and tickets. “Yes, I guess.”

“You guess?! [Y/n],” Gwen said, all serious now, “Dreamy Danny has been the number one wet dream boat for everyone ever since he transferred. I’m going to be the sister-in-law of Dreamy Danny!”

You took the tickets from her hands. “You are not because we aren’t getting married. And Dreamy Danny isn’t all that, you know,” you grumble back.

Gwen nodded. “Oh, yeah. I’m sorry, I forgot you were only into nerds like Spider-Man and Peter Parker.”

You wanted to scream at her to shut up. “I don’t like like Peter, okay! All I said is that he happened to be really cute and I’m happy we are starting to be friends…and Spider-Man isn’t a nerd!” you added before walking off. Gwen called out to you, something along the lines of “Nerds are so your type!”

You tried to forget Gwen’s comment on Peter-especially since you are headed to the library to spend free period with him.

Oops?

He greeted you with a cute smile, as usual. He had the seat pulled out for you and you happily took it.

“Ooh, you’re going to the fundraiser?” he asked, spotting the tickets in your hands.

“Yep! Maybe Spider-Man will be there,” you joked. Your crush on Spider-Man became an inside joke between you guys now, since it was the first thing you two had actually talked about.

Peter had quickly become a good friend. You enjoyed his company.

“Are you going with Gwen?” he asked, biting into an apple. “No, Danny Rand.”

Peter stopped in the middle of his bite. Danny Rand?! As in the guy everyone in school thought was really hot? Hell, his nickname is Dreamy Danny!

“I thought the same thing when he asked,” you admitted. “It’s all very weird. I actually thought he liked that girl, Colleen. But whatever, right? Peter, you said you’re going to the fundraiser tomorrow?”

He opened his mouth to answer but noticed your phone light up. The number hadn’t yet been saved.

“Oh. That’s Drea-Danny,” you say, unlocking the phone to read what he had sent. “Oh…”

Peter leaned in towards you. “Wait, what’s wrong?”

Your face had fallen, just a bit, and you wrinkled your nose with discomfort. “I’m getting stood up,” you announced, putting your phone face down. “And I already bought his ticket…do you want to come with me to return this?” you asked, waving the other one in your hand.

It didn’t totally bother you; Dreamy Danny isn’t your boyfriend, anyways, and you hardly knew him, so why should it bother you? But on the other hand, you’d gotten a bit excited. Maybe the idea of having a date was why you’d been excited.

But now you’re going alone. It made you a little sad.

“Uh, no,” Peter said, clearing his throat. “You don’t have to return it. I’ll go with you to the fundraiser,” he said, a small smile drawing the corner of his mouth up.

You raised your eyebrows. “Don’t you already have plans?”

He shook his head, leaning down on the table. Peter tapped his fingers on a textbook rhythmically. “No, I was going alone too. And besides, I didn’t buy my ticket yet. I’ll just pay you right now for it.”

You held the extra ticket close to your chest. “I don’t want your money, though. I’d feel bad!”

“Why?” Peter asked. “Wasn’t Danny Rand going to pay you back?”

You slowly nodded your head. “Well, yes, but isn’t his family super well off? Not that you’re poor!” you quickly apologized. Peter only laughed at that. “Hey-think of it like this! I bought my own ticket, you just picked it up for me. Okay? Say ‘Okay, Peter,’” he coaxed as he switched the spare ticket in your hand for a five dollar bill.

“Okay, Peter,” you nodded.

4) You showed up as his superhero S/O

Peter insisted that he should have picked you up for the fundraiser, but you told him no and he’d already been enough of a big help. Peter, you texted him, you don’t have to go out of your way to do that! I’ll meet you there, don’t worry! :)

So he waited, bouncing on the balls of his feet while playing on his phone. His costume was a Nightwing one, black and blue with his hair slicked out of his face.

A taxi eventually rolled up and he watched curiously to see who would get out of the car.

He almost screamed out loud when he saw your costume.

You had decided to come to this thing as Starfire.

STARFIRE. OF ALL PEOPLE. AND YOUR COSTUME…NO, he yelled at himself, I CAN’T LOOK AT HER THAT WAY.

Since the event was a school function, you’d opted for a more modest take of the alien’s outfit, seeing as the comic version involved as little cloth as possible. But your hair was curled the way Starfire’s was and you looked absolutely gorgeous.

You happily skipped over to Peter and admired his costume. “Hey! We match! You know, Nightwing and Starfire are da-”

“Yeah, I know,” Peter quickly interrupted before you could say it. Dating.

After some chatting, you guys decided to head into the school. All Peter could think about was the fact neither of you planned this.

What a coincidence.

5) He saw you in an unexpected place

Summer had finally come for New York. The school year ended with Peter romantically confessing his feelings for you then giving you a hard, passionate kiss.

Haha. Not. It’s what he would have liked to have happened, but instead you guys went back to his apartment and ate ice cream with his Aunt May.

The intense July heat gave Peter much more of a reason to ask Mr. Stark to help him train and learn more at the facility. The air conditioning there was so cold and perfect. Not perfect for winter, anyways, but it would be just fine for this time of year.

Tony escorted him around the place again for good measure. “Hey, so when can I meet the other Avengers?” Peter asked eagerly. “I mean, you know, officially meet them.” Peter wouldn’t call getting his ass kicked by Steven Rogers a ‘proper introduction.’

Tony hesitated. He wasn’t completely over the incidents with Steve-i.e the time when everyone on the Avengers split into side and tried to beat each other up-   but gave in. “I guess you can meet some of them now. Come on, kid, follow me.”

Peter cheered to himself and followed after Tony. “You can meet a few of the softies first. You know, to ease your way into it. Let’s start with Banner.”

Peter paled. “How is he a softie?! He-he could kill me,” Peter said quietly, as though if he said it louder he would actually die.

“A lot of people could kill you, kiddo, but Banner won’t. You can also meet his kid. She’s about the same age as you and has some weird powers. Probably something to do with Bruce’s bio~hazardous sperm.”

Peter wanted to point out that if Bruce did sleep with someone without a condom, his ‘bio~hazardous sperm’ would most likely kill the poor woman.

There was a wide set of tinted glass doors, a few words of warning printed onto them. “This is our playground,” Tony explained. “The science lab. If the Big Guy is anywhere, he’s here. You wouldn’t have seen him yet, but his kid, you have. She was at the airport.”

How could Peter forget? She pummeled him into small Spider-Boy pulp. And all because he said her mask was a bit unreasonable( his exact words were “I mean seriously, how do you breathe with that? And purple? Not a good color on you.”).

Tony pressed a few buttons and then pushed the door open. “After you,” he grinned to Peter.

Peter stepped in, cautiously, and looked around. There wasn’t anything absolutely crazy like he’d expected. In one corner of the room there was a couch with a new looking book on the armrest and a knit blanket sprawled over the cushions.

In another corner, a cabinet of glass beakers and other items; beside that, a door that led to a storage room-Peter thought to himself that it probably held chemicals.

In the very center of a room was a wide table. Expensive looking computers and the same hologram screens Tony used were littered about it. Behind the table was a man with scruffy dark, graying hair. He has thin glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose, buried deep into his work.

Although that wasn’t what made Peter gasp in utter shock.

There was a girl standing on the ceiling.

Standing. On. The ceiling. Her hair didn’t fall out around her head, and her clothes weren’t slipping off of her that way it should have when someone is hanging upside down. She was humming to herself, occasionally doing flips and spins. She even landed perfectly back onto the surface!

“Kiddo, Big Guy, why don’t you stop being weirdos and say hello to the guest,” Tony says.

The girl didn’t bother to look at Tony and huffed. “Yeah, yeah,” she mumbled. Peter watched in awe at how she got down from the ceiling. She simply walked down the wall and to the floor.

But Bruce had already moved over and blocked Peter’s view of the girl’s face. “Tony, who have you kidnapped now? He’s only a teenager.”

“Maybe Tony should be kidnapping teenagers if you guys intend on locking me up here and raising me hidden away from society.” That voice-

And then she pushed past her dad. Her [e/c] eyes widened in complete surprise. “Peter?!” Bruce’s eyes narrowed at Peter, then. “You know [Y/n]?”

“Wait,” Tony interrupted. “You know Peter?” he asks you. “Well duh, I know Peter,” you say, though your eyes don’t stray off of your friend. “Why do you know him?” The question was directed at Peter now. He realized you had meant ‘Why do you know Mr. Stark?’

Tony proudly pat Peter’s shoulders. “Kiddo here is Spider-Man!”

It was then that you realized not only have you once beat up your favorite hero-but also your crush.

Teased (Simon Request)

“And we are back. Another game of Cards Against Humanity” Vikk intros the video which you hear through the headphones in the Skype call you were on.
“Right what’s the only thing Simon dreams about?” You begin, smiling quickly to your camera.
You lived with Josh, Vikk, JJ and Simon in their house which people always loved since you had become one of their best friends and eventually a YouTuber.
“Oh god why isn’t their a card that just says (y/n)?” Josh groans and you can only imagine the pink dust that would scatter Simon’s cheeks.
Your room was only next to his. And the pair of you seemed to share this strange feeling towards each other that neither of you would admit was there but was evident to all of the boys. And it seemed to affect Simon more. He became flushed whenever they mentioned it, had to break eye contact with you whenever they made a joke about it. He couldn’t resist and it made you think he was even more adorable every single time…
The cards are shown and you can tell the majority of them are about you.
“(Y/n) filming a video. Enough said” You read out with a sigh, “(y/n) being in Simon’s mind so much he doesn’t need porn”
Ethan cackles and you could tell it was evidently his card.
The rest of the three cards are two about you and the final a generic funny card not about you. Simons.
“His face is probably as red as his hair” Josh chuckles.
“Fuck off Josh” You laugh, shifting to lift one leg onto your chair.
Its then that you realise that you are still wearing Simon’s grey jumper. He loved it but you had stolen it earlier when the house was too cold.
You grab your phone quickly after playing your card for the round and type a message to him. If you said it aloud the boys would make some joke about how cute you were. And texting meant that adorable little smirk tickled his lips.
‘Hey Nim! So about your jumper…’
“Come on Simon play a fucking card!” JJ yells down his mic.
Simon obviously quickly clicks onto one as you can see he’s read your message instantly.
‘I spent a fucking hour looking for that😂 Just don’t leave your shitty smell on it alright?’
‘Don’t worry it still smells of Lynx😏’
You look up to see the boys are waiting for your response again
“Guys what the fuck is taking you so long?” Ethan questions before you quickly play the card you planned.
“Jesus Christ calm down!” Simon scoffs, playing his card too, “Just waiting for the right moment”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Vikk asks inquisitively
“Yeah Simon, you finally gonna give in and ask her out?” Ethan chuckles.
“Fuck off guys, I’m talking about the cards” He rolls his eyes before reading out the cars on his screen, “What is Simon’s favourite thing about (y/n)?”
You go to click on a rude card before you realise he is typing.
'Certainly not when she steals my clothes’
You chuckle to yourself and watch as Simon evidently turns back to his screen since he is now involved in the conversation with the boys.
“I didn’t have a card that says everything”
You roll your eyes and reply, to his message, 'I don’t see you complaining too much…’
“Honestly guys do you need some time alone or some shit?” Josh exclaims, they were waiting for you two to play the card again.
“Hang on a second I’ll be back in a bit” JJ comments and you expect that he needs to pee or something.
Until you hear footsteps up the spiral staircase and eventually near your door. You turn around and he has walked up behind you.
“What the fuck are you-” You start until he closes your game on your screen and lifts you from your chair, throwing you over his shoulder.
Before you can say anything else, he carries you the short distance to Simon’s room and drops you down on the extra gaming chair beside him.
“Now your next to each other you can stop all this weird bullshit” He glares between the pair of you before walking out.
You glance to Simon and chuckle, hearing the same reaction from him.
“Alright guys looks like we’re a team now” Simon mentions into the microphone.
“What the fuck did you do Jide?” Vikk asks.
“I just dropped off his babygirl. My man needs a bit of help sometimes” JJ comments.
“Calm down JJ I don’t think he’s your man anymore. (Y/n)’s taken that from you” Ethan giggles.
“Alright shall we begin again?” Josh claps.
“Can I just point one thing out about you two?” JJ questions quickly.
You and Simon both roll your eyes and sigh, “Fine”
JJ clearly moves a lot closer to his mic before saying, “She’s wearing his clothes guys”
And you didn’t even need to be there to see the excitement on all of their faces. And certainly their eruption of excitement on the call…

It’s Fun When They Resist

“Experiment number 36…” He softly mumbled, pressing the end of his pen against his lips in pondering curiosity. The file he held in his hand contained information of his current victim that he had enraptured in chains just a few feet away from him.

“Takashi huh? Quite a common first name….but oh well, I suppose it suits a guy like you~”

His pale, scarred fingers trailed through the pages, and each paragraph made his heart race in excitement. Everything…was just so….scandalous. So very scandalous. Oh how he couldn’t wait to use this. To use all of this. It was just too perfect! It was like the universe is taking his side and giving him all that he wished for and more! Since Takashi’s pockets were emptied earlier, Midoriya took a moment to look upon the items he found laid out before him.

A cellphone

A paper clip

A wallet that was filled with cash, cards, ID, and business cards

and a napkin that held a number.

The cellphone and napkin caught his interest in particular, and it was then he realized there was more to this plain looking man who looked to be dead in his playroom when in reality he was just unconscious. A good blow to the back of the head, dry blood crusting on pale skin, the sight alone made Midoriya wish he could do that to himself. But now wasn’t the time to try to get off. It was time to wake up sweet little Takashi and wake him up.

The villain made sure that the chains were nice and sturdy on the wall before giving a tiny and light slap to a slightly bruised cheek.

No movement.

He tried once again, only a little harsher.

There was a tiny grunt, but still no movement.

Midoriya growled in annoyance and this time slapped the older male’s cheek as hard as he could. He would’ve used one for all, but then again, he’ll end up the killing the guy, and he really didn’t want to do that…not yet anyways.

“Ah!” Takashi yelped, earning a wide smirk from the younger male in front of him. He watched him closely. Watched him slowly come back to reality and all the memories flow back into his brain.

“I’m so happy you decided to wake up Takashi~” Midoriya purred, his fingers slipping into his breast pocket and taking out his signature black gloves that he always kept on him at all times. He held the index finger of one with his teeth then slipped it on his other hand after putting on the right glove. “Now…then..I wanna play a little game..it’s a fun game, and it’s an easy one!”

Midoriya happily went back to his tray full of tools and skimmed each and every one of them before picking up a syringe filled with clear liquid…well, it was a little cloudy.

“Wha…what is that…?”

“Tell me something,” Midoriya began, completely ignoring the question he received and just answering it with his own. “Are they your lovers in some weird polygamous relationship, or just some booty call~?”

“What…?”

“That number! And the random numbers in your phone!” The villain clarified with a joyful smile. From what he remembered correctly, he found a number that looked to belong to a wife of his, meanwhile, he had a couple other numbers that belonged to other women whom he was most definitely having sexual affairs with. He would know, for they’ve held messages he wished he could unread. “You’re not so loyal are you~? Commitment issues I’m guessing~? Or maybe there’s more to it that I’m not understanding..~”

“W..Wait! What are you doing!?!?”

“Oh stop squirming Takashi~ I’m just putting some sleep medicine in your blood stream~”

“What..? Why?”

“It’s all apart of the game silly!!”

“L-Let me go!! I-…I have a little girl….I have a little girl and a beautiful wife to come home to!”

“Awww but I can’t let you go! You have to play my game first!”

This bastard was quite persistent, but Midoriya was much more persistent and stubborn. In fact, nobody could go toe to toe with him and his stubborn personality. But that’s okay, it makes everything all the more fun when they resist~

i didn’t know where to end up posting this fic, here or the psycho blog, but i decided on here because i promised to tag @justwritingscibbles because she’s a doll, a babe, a great writer, and she honestly gave the motivation to write this along with @synodicsean so here it’ll be.

another Damien fic that’ll get lost in the millions out there. also as i was typing this i liked the theory that we were the host before he became the host more and more.

enjoy the show!

The days at university… you remembered that was when you met him. Walking in with zero clue as to where to go after having found your room, you decided to walk around campus. Enjoying the breeze and energy of the rustle and bustle of people all around you. Normally you preferred staying inside, but the library was important. You had to find it. You had to get that new book, read it’s ending, and throw it at the wall after realizing the author just rushed it and did the arc no justice.

That was the plan. Until of course you found yourself at a crossroads. Left or right? You looked at the signs looking for which one said ‘library’ but couldn’t find it. You were about to go for the right and hope for the best. Perhaps that way at least you’d get a horrifying story to tell your kids, teaching them to not be like you. But three taps to your shoulder made you turn around instead of taking that step forward. Behind you was a man, probably a year or two older than you, with neat hair and kind eyes. His eyes…

“Excuse me, miss,” a deep voice seemed to suavely start directing speech to you. “You dropped this.” He handed you a student ID – one that was supposed to be on your lanyard but when you looked down to the lanyard, the ID had fallen off. You took the card gratefully.

“Thank you,” you said. “That’s the last time I put this on the lanyard.” You stuffed the ID into your pocket before looking up at the man with the kind eyes.

| Captive | King George III

*Princess Augusta, King George III’s mother, died three years before the start of the American Revolution, but events have been changed to match the oneshot.

*Also, this is the first time I realized King George and Washingdad have the same name as I was writing. I’m an idiot.

“You have a letter Mr. President.”

“What?” George’s tone was harsh, unforgiving. The man delivering said letter jumped in alarm and George sighed, calming himself down.

“I’m sorry,” His voice was tired, dark purple bags lining themselves underneath his eyelids. He brushed a hand up his face, sighing deeply. The man had been having the worst few months in his existence. His daughter, his precious girl, had disappeared right under his nose. There was a full watch sent out, a large sum of money being given to anyone who could bring you home.

Of course many people had tried to bring forth people who looked similar to you and get the reward, but George wasn’t an idiot. He knew his daughter down to the very quirk of your lips.

But it had just passed the benchmark of three months. Rumors had started to brew in the streets. What if you had simply run away? George had dismissed such claims  at the beginning but now he began to worry. Had he been hard on you? Was it the revolution? Did you truly feel suppressed enough to run away from him?

“Well?” He asked, becoming irritated again at the man who had hesitated to step forward.

“Ah…we haven’t opened it out of respect for your privacy but…” He bit his lip.

“Be curt young man!” George pursed his lips. The man winced.

“It is signed from King George III,” The man swallowed.

George felt his world stop.

What.

“And? Bring it forward,” He reigned in his absolute shock in mind of his company. The man placed the letter on his desk before saluting and exiting the room on rushed legs.

“Poor lad,” George muttered, trailing the edges of the letter with his fingers. Such an innocent envelope, yet looking to hold the weight of the world.

He took in a deep breath to steel himself and opened it slowly, unfolding the paper.

Washy!

Hello old pal! It has come to my knowledge that you are growing funnier than ever, rounding up that little army of yours. I have no doubts in who will win this petty little war you’ve started, but I suppose it would be good to have a few cards to deal with on my side in case of any surprising and impossible forth-comings.

I looked into every corner of your life, and I came to find something I never noticed before. It was too interesting for me to simply put aside, and so I’m afraid I had to take it. What was the little thing’s name? Ah yes! Y/N was it?

Don’t worry about her. I delayed this letter to give you ample time to lose your wits in search for her in a land where she no longer stands, and so by the time this arrives I am confident you would be quite hysterical. Delightful isn’t it?

So yes, I have her, she’s my hostage, blah blah blah. I’ll be keeping her I’m afraid until I have you successfully back under my colonial rule. She misses you terribly I think, won’t stop blabbing. Although she did become rather quiet of late….do you suppose I’ve broken her?

Anywho, I give my utmost preeminent regards!

Toodledoo!

Your loving ruler,

King George III

George stared. He let his eyes roam over the ink twice, five times, ten, till every word had been memorized, till he was sure he hadn’t let anything go by.

His hand holding the parchment shook, something burning in his nose and wetly behind his eyes. Intense worry and despair flooded his senses before it was replaced by a burning anger that made his vision go red.

His fingers tightened into a fist, crushing the letter with one action, now shaking for another reason entirely.

“General?” A commander knocked briefly before entering. “The ranks would like to know if- General?”

George’s eyes were covered by the shadow of his own face before he looked up, and the commander stiffened, feeling ice cold fear run through him at the bloodthirsty fire encompassing those usual warm brown orbs.

George smiled, and it was feral. “Gather the men.”

Your nail scratched down the wall.

The coarse, uncomfortable feeling no longer bothered you as it had the first time, and you gazed blankly at the tally mark finishing the five. The entire east corner of the room’s wall had been covered in similar tallies, one each day, leading up to where you now stood.

“Day 120,” You murmured, not bothering to push back a lock of hair than invaded your line of sight. One more day, and you would have been here four months.

Four months.

Four months without the American soil beneath your feet. Four months without so much as a glimpse at the blue sky. Four months without your father’s gummy smile.

At first you’d been thrown into a cell. After being drugged and carted over the sea for days, you awoke to captivity. You had been provided little food, no warmth, staying in the same dirty clothes for weeks. You had freaked out more or less, keeping yourself sane with delusions that someone would be coming to save you.

But nobody came.

And soon logic overtook your emotions. Why would they? No one knew where you were, so how could they possibly rescue you? And even if King George - you thought the name in disgust - sent word over to the west, it would be at least 4-6 weeks before a letter could even travel that far.

So you stopped your sniveling, put your chin high, and reminded yourself that you were the daughter of the goddamn general of America and you would not break.

The moment you’d stopped being overly sentimental, you were transferred to this room. It was utterly different than the dank, dark tomb of a cell you’d been objected to for weeks. It was prim, proper, had a king sized bed, fitted with a dresser and mirrors and curtains that looked to be more expensive than your life. Servants came in and dressed you in magnificent gowns, complete with makeup and the standard white wig on top your head. The minute they left you tore it off.

What almost made you shatter was the shower that you’d been able to take. You vowed to not give in to whatever game he was playing, but didn’t object to taking an hour long bath with the lavender soap in the cubicle.

They had hot water. Hot water. Was this a magical kingdom?

You digress.

Of course you knew what was happening. He must have wanted you to develop some kind on Stockholm Syndrome towards him, where you’d be lathered in positive attention after dark treatment and grow an attachment to him.

Yeah right.

You might be a woman, but you weren’t an idiot, no matter what majority of men may believe about your gender.

Y/N~”

There he was.

You had heard the calling so many times now that you could distinguish it from five miles away. The amount of loathing that came over you was enough for you to want to change your name just so that you wouldn’t have to hear it ever again in that doting tone.

The door creaked open, but you didn’t turn around.

“Y/N~!” The voice was more crisp, clear, endeared with a British accent you had been taught to despise. “I see you’re still marking the walls!”

You didn’t open your mouth.

“The silent treatment again?” You could practically hear the pout in his voice. “It’s gotten old now, dear. What must I do to get you to talk?”

The bed creaked and you knew he had fallen down languidly on the mattress, but you kept your vision aligned with the wall.

“Should I pry that pretty little mouth open?” He mused. You shivered at his words. Your father had had you at a  young age, barely nineteen. He had described you as a ‘miracle baby’, but all that meant was that he hadn’t expected to have you, and you knew it. You didn’t even know who your real mother was, but you had long since forgiven him for that. He was young and made a mistake. At least he didn’t abandon you.

Added to the fact that King George was almost ten years younger than your father, the king was actually not lengths away from your own age, which disturbed you on too many levels to comprehend.

“Or maybe cut those fingers off till you scream?” He continued, now talking to himself, unaware of the effect it had on you. Or was he? “Anything would be better than this annoying childish behaviour.”

Childish? Childish?

You had to restrain yourself to not pounce on him the instant.

“Though I guess I could just send word to old Washy that I killed you. That would surely send him to his grave with worry.”

You broke.

“Don’t you dare,” Your voice was heavy with anger as you whipped around. Widened chocolate eyes regarded you in surprise, a grin stretching across flawless skin.

“Ah so she speaks” He exclaimed giddily. You immediately wanted to calm up again, but it was of no use. You had already given him his victory.

“What are you here for today?” You asked, even though you knew. Its what he came for everyday. As a King you would think he had his schedule full, but he somehow made time every single day to come and pester you for the same thing.

“Oh you already know darling. So why don’t we make this easier on both of us?”

“I’m not becoming a spy for you,” You muttered, voice robotic. You had repeated the words so many times it was second nature. “I will not become a prostitute or anything of the matter. I definitely will not give you any information regarding the plans of my father for the war-”

“-and I will not succumb to any of your wishes,” He finished for you, rolling his eyes, and lolling his head back, shifting into a more comfortable position in which he could still see your face. “I know the drill princess. Then what good are you for?”

Your mouth shut. The playful tone had been sucked out of his atmosphere entirely at the last sentence, his eyes alight with something hypnotic, menacing, intimidation slamming over your head so quickly you froze up entirely. You were sure you were about to be sentenced to death then and there, but then he was back and the monster was gone, a smile lighting up his face, forming tiny dimples along his cheeks and crinkles around his eyes.

“I’m just messing with you!” He said, getting up from the sheets and patting your back roughly. You flinched at the touch, deciding to scrub extra hard in the tub today. “I do hope you change your mind tomorrow! My patience does have a limit.”

You were given a glimpse at the insanity that lay beneath the surface of the cheer and exuberance as his gaze flashed something predatory before he was literally prancing out of the room, humming a catchy tune underneath his breath.

You collapsed onto the wall as soon as he left, your mask gone as you put your face in your hands. A shaking sigh left your mouth as you shuddered, biting your lip to prevent the oncoming onslaught of moisture that flooded your eyes.

Dad, please come quick.

The door opened.

You glared at the recent tally mark of 130. “You’re here early today. What? Got bored with terrorizing innocent subjects?” You could be killed for your talk to such an important figure, but you knew he wouldn’t harm you, and frankly you didn’t care. You knew he needed you as a ransom.

There was no answer, and you turned around in confusion, just in time for him to wrap his arms around you.

Panic flared within you but only skyrocketed as he dragged you down to the mattress. You kicked at him frantically, assuming the worst. No no you weren’t ready, you weren’t for use, he couldn’t take this from you you wouldn’t let him-

Confusion sprouted next as he didn’t lay any perverted touches on you, simply keeping you tight in his hold and burying his head into your hair. The soft but ragged breathing told you he was awake, but you didn’t dare move if he was unstable. You’d witnessed his absolute insanity before, and you didn’t feel like being at the end of it.

But why was he doing this? Was this another tactic?

But then why was he shaking?

So you stayed still, highly attentive, until he relaxed against you and his breaths evened out. Against everything you were, you let him hold you, ignoring the waves of revulsion rolling on your skin. You absentmindedly eyed a pair of scissors on the dressing table. You could easily slip out of his hold and stab him before anyone knew, take the life of the man who had ruined yours.

The thought ran through your mind another time before you disregarded it. Not now. Not only did you think you wouldn’t have the ability to actually bring yourself to commit the act, but killing someone in their sleep was probably the most cowardly of cowardly acts.

Does cowardice really matter when you are a prisoner? A voice whispered temptingly from the dark abyss of your mind. You crushed it.

You were not that type of person.

It was only later when you had been left alone again without a word from the king, that you discovered what had happened. There were hushed talks among the servants, the nobles outside your door.

The king’s sick and weak mother had finally died of laryngeal cancer in her sleep.

You were unsure how to feel.

At one end you absolutely wanted to have no feelings of remorse or pity towards George. But on the other you were far more concerned of why exactly he had come to you for comfort.

Why you? Were you not a mere captive?  A hostage?

Then you looked back. Every day.  He had visited you every day. You couldn’t bear to admit it, but even you grew used to his visits, and came to expect them with some anticipation. (If only to imagine ripping those pretty eyes from his skull). He must have grown attached to you at some point as well.

Could he have possibly grown a….liking towards you?

The thought was ridiculous but the evidence proved otherwise. And if so…if so…

You grinned slowly at your reflection in the mirror.

Maybe you weren’t the hostage anymore.

He continued to come. Earlier and earlier every day. You didn’t change your attitude towards him too quickly, knowing that you had to concoct your plan slowly in order for there to be no suspicion whatsoever.

But you ever so slowly changed the game. You began to face him when he came in instead of away. You let your hand ‘accidentally’ brush against his side. You made an effort to look presentable when he came in.

You even ripped a small piece of your mask away to allow yourself to give him a real smile once.

And you could feel him beginning to turn into putty in your hand. Your father would be proud of you, you thought. For tricking the enemy so well.

(Or would he? Allowing yourself to manipulate another so easily?)

And one fateful night, when George was tired, and it had been a hard day on him, and your eyes had been shining so brilliantly in the light of the candle-

You did nothing when his lips came down on yours, merely tightened a fist behind your back and brought the other to gently touch his cheek.

Hook, line, and sinker.

You had turned the tables successfully. You had him under just as much control as he thought he still had you under.

It was funny really.

You began to think of ways to escape. It had taken you so long to get him to trust you, but maybe a few more months and he would let you go outside, and then from there you could begin putting out plans to get back home.

Home.

The word seemed so far away, and yet so close.

America, wait for me.

One evening you were sitting upright the headrest on the bed, George’s head on your shoulder, the room silent. It was the rare occasion his customary royalty wig wasn’t on, and his soft brown curls brushed against your cheek.

He looked much better in your opinion. Not that you cared.

“Y/N?”

“mm?”

His eyes stared into space, as if he was seeing something you weren’t.

“Why are you doing this?”

For a minute you felt dread tinge your tongue. He hadn’t figured you out had he? You forced yourself to calm down. “Doing what?”

“This,” He shifted his eyes so that they were boring into yours, and it was as if he was unraveling your very soul. “I thought you had accepted this to ask of something of me, or try and grasp your freedom, but you’ve done nothing of the sort. What do you hope to accomplish?”

He must have been really tired if he was spilling his guts to you. Hopefully he wouldn’t remember this conversation in the morning.

“Do I need to accomplish something?” Answer another question with a question, your dad’s voice lectured in your mind. Don’t ever let them see weakness.

“I would think so,” His voice was silk, rushing over your ears, causing you to relax your own guard much more than you wanted. “Unless you are idiotic enough to gain romantic inhibitions to your captor.”

“Well then I shall say the same to you,” You countered. “How does one gain such feelings toward their captive?”

“Touche,” He laughed before regaining his quiet. You grew worried. He had never been this sober before. Was there something seriously wrong?

“I am never letting you go,” He said suddenly. You blinked, but didn’t reply. His grip on your hand grew slightly tighter. “My sweet, submissive subject.”

You couldn’t help the adamant scowl that pulled your lips. Submissive??

“But you’re not,” He amended, watching the change in your face, eyebrows furrowing in uncertainty. “You have fire. And intelligence, almost. You are the strangest woman I have ever met.”

You stared back, struck speechless by his gaze. And for the first time, you found yourself leaning forward as well when he captured your lips with his, deepening the embrace till you grew hot with passion and thoughtless as you were pressed down into the mattress.

A knock on the door.

“George,” you said immediately. “Yo-”

An unfamiliar man stood there instead, a complacent smile on his face. You cleared your throat after staring in surprise.

“Ah, hello,” The man said, voice a deep richness, lines between his eyes that betrayed the amount of times he smiled.

There was a certain twinkle in those eyes as he walked towards you, his steps kept together and his back straight. He lifted a tape measure. “I am merely your new tailor, madame. Please let down your guard.”

You vaguely wondered what had happened to the other woman but nodded, loosening the tightness in your shoulders.

He was gentle as he lifted your arms and zipped around you, wrapping the measure around your waist and up your side. As he lifted your hair to stretch the surface of the material against you neck, he began to speak again.

“May I ask you your name, miss?”

“Y/N,” You said quietly.

“Lovely,” he complimented, and it wasn’t sleazy in any way, but completely genuine.

“Thank you,” A heat flushed up your neck and pooled in your cheeks at the gesture.

“Where did you get it?”

“My…father said it was the first thing he thought of when he gazed at my eyes,” You murmured, mood dampened extremely.

He hummed. “Interesting. I’m sure Washington wouldn’t like to hear you sound so downcast speaking of it though.”

You tensed. “What?” You tried to get away from the man but his hold on your shoulder increased so that you couldn’t - yet it was still somehow gentle.

“I mean what I said.” Then his voice dropped even lower, and he was whispering in your ear, even as he continued to look to an outsider as if he were taking your measurements. “Your father has sent for you. I will leave the door open when I leave, and you must follow my instructions.”

You nodded, befuddled, but feeling hope bubble up in your chest.

“Good. Now go left, and continue for about fifty feet before making a right then immediate right again. You will run into a baker, who is not one at all, and he will lead you out of the castle and to the harbour where a ship awaits to take you back to the mainland. Keep your head down, and your face hidden. Walk as if you have a destination, but do not stand out.”

You could only nod again, overwhelmed but committing every word to your memory.

“Oh and,” He straightened, hanging the measure around his neck once more. A wink was sent your way, a cheeky grin making it onto his handsome face. “Good luck.”

He went to walk out the door but you stopped him.

“W-Wait!” You said. He stopped and you stammered. “May I have your name?”

He contemplated for a second before smirking. “Mulligan. Hercules Mulligan. Now make haste Y/N Washington.”

With that he had swept out like he was never there, footsteps light and making no sound.

You stood there, watching the indeed open door, mind racing a mile a minute.

A tailor spying on the British government? Was this a trick? Was George seeing if you would run away given the chance? Or was this real? Were you really being rescued?

You turmoil-ed over the notion for several more seconds but every moment that grew on had you looking at the sliver of light shining in from the open door..

You made your choice.

And with that you slipped out the door.

“Ready, Madame?”

You jumped. “Huh? Ah yes…”

The baker-but-not-really, held out a hand, the sea-spray of the harbour assaulting your nose, and the wind whipping your hair. He had a foot aboard the plank of the ship, but you were still on the ground. You rose one foot but were confused when you paused. What were you waiting for? Wasn’t this freedom?

Brown eyes, and a childish grin, feet skipping out of the room.

No.

No.

You didn’t - you couldn’t -

Please no, you thought. I couldn’t possibly be…

The smell of his skin, incense and mint, the sensation of his mouth on yours.

You wanted to rip your hair out. NO. This wasn’t happening.

You blamed the salty air for your eyes tearing up as you accepted your helper’s hand and stepped up onto the ship.

You blamed the rocking of the boat and sea sickness for the lurching of your heart as England’s harbour grew further away.

You closed your eyes and thought of your father’s smile, drowning out everything else.

You were going home.

Where is she?!”

The adviser grimaced as another vase crashed to the floor.

“Sir-” Another crash, this time the desk against the wall, broken and tumbling to the ground. The sheets were torn, curtains ripped apart. “We can only assume she is back in the west. She was seen by a witness with a man in a baker’s attire, heading towards the harbour.”

King George grew unnaturally calm. “The harbour? Was she struggling? Putting up a fight?”

The adviser stepped back, a bead of sweat running down his forehead. “N-No sir. It is most probable she simply fled. She was a prisoner after all.”

“Fled…She fled…” King George mumbled, chuckling. The adviser swallowed, bowing slightly and excusing himself from the room in rightful fear of his life for delivering the news.

King George was a mess, hair in chaos, his crown on the floor, his whole body quivering in mad laughter.

An image of you smiling back home and expressing your freedom, taunted him. Betrayal and anger stirred deep in his chest but all he did was laugh.

His palm covered his face as he trembled, now bellowing full rolls of hysterics. “She fled!

The laughs simmered down to giggles as he braced himself against a wall, smiling through the spaces of his fingers.

“Y/N…oh Y/N…” A psychotic glint passed his eyes, white teeth splitting his lips in a grin. “You think you’ve escaped…”

You jumped into your father’s arms, feeling yourself encased in his strong hold as he kissed you all over, warm in his embrace. Yet you felt as if something was incomplete, apprehension still hanging over you as a tension you couldn’t shake.

This is just the beginning.”

[MasterList]

Holy cow. Okay, here’s what’s going on in my life today: Sebastian Stan. So the line to get into the convention this morning was INSANE and I waited for and hour and a half. Keeping in mind that I got to the convention and hour after they opened the doors, that’s ridiculous. Also, it was below 30 degrees. So since I waited so long, I missed my photo-op with Billie Piper, which sucked, and I made it JUST in time for Sebastian’s. When I got up to the front of the line, he smiled at me and I said, “Hi! Will you dip me?” And he said, “What? And I said, “Would it be okay if you dipped me?” And he said, “Sure!” And we did and awkward shuffle for a second, then he put his hands on my hips and dipped me! I didn’t know what face he was making, so I just smiled. Then he helped me back up and I said, “Thank you!” And I was in my way. Trembling and a mess. Then I picked up my picture and saw his face and fell in love all over again. Then I got in line for his autograph. I was in like about an hour waiting for him to come back from his pictures, but as soon as I got to the front, he said, “Hi, how are you?” And I said, “Good, how’re you?” And then he looked down at the picture and started laughing and he said, “Oh man, you’ve got great hair.” And I said, “Thank you! I was supposed to meet you in Texas around your birthday, so…. happy really late birthday.” And I gave him a card. He peeked inside and he said, “Starbucks! Thank you!” Because I put a Starbucks gift card in there and then he reached across the table and hugged me! His cold fingers touched my bare back and it was magical!
