All other husbands have to step up their game. I AM PUTTING YOU ALL ON NOTICE.
Because this is what Werepenguin just gave me. He saw the commission that the amazingly-sweet and wonderfully-talented @yliseryn did for me of Allura in my wedding dress, and this idea began to form in his mind.
And this? This isn’t just Allura in my wedding dress. It’s Shiro in Werepenguin’s suit & tie. That’s OUR cake with OUR cake topper. And then Louise, being the utter sweetheart she is, added the b&w images. And then Werepenguin asked her for color versions of THOSE.
And, on top of all of this, I now have a 20x30 METAL PRINT of that top image that I can hang in our home so everyone can see it. Because this is how happy the memory of our wedding day makes him, even 8 years out. (Well, almost 8 years; he gave this to me as an early anniversary present because he couldn’t stand to sit on it any longer.)
I cried when he gave it to me. I’m crying a bit now. I married the most wonderful man and he is absolutely the best thing in my life and if there’s anything that proves that it’s that I cannot come up with the words to describe how I feel.
• Phichit is a doll and I love him. He greets the listener in Thai, and proceeds to introduce Yuuri as “This is my best friend, Yuuri!” who is, of course, embarrassed by this
• Yuuri calls Phichit a “fan service monster” and says that he always goes over the top when interacting with fans (isn’t that the sweetest thing ever?)
• Phichit demonstrates this by going over the top very enthusiastically explaining the plot and theme to the King&the Skater movie, all while dancing in the middle of the museum in front of his SP costume display
• Yuuri: You’re gonna dance here?!
• Phichit proceeds to grab Yuuri’s hand and tugs Yuuri into the dance with him
(Yuuri asks “Shall we skate?” all breathy-like in English and I died)
Phichit: Look, it’s the photo corner!
Yuuri: Oh no, Phichit’s social media posts are here too…
Phichit: Look, there’s Yuuri’s ring! Hey, omg, did you know, Yuuri and Victor are–
Yuuri: Ahhh, Phichit, no! Next, next, next, let’s go!!
Phichit: Haaaaaaappyyyyyyyyy Wedding! -fading into the background-
• Phichit and Yuuri fanboy Victor’s skating in extreme detail, talking about his routines, jumps and combos. Phichit thinks Victor’s Stammi Vicino program is amazing
(Yuuri thinks everything about Victor is amazing)
Yuuri: Of course it’s so like Victor to be able to pull off programs with such high difficulty
Phichit: If it’s Yuuri, you could totally do it too!!!
Yuuri: Please don’t shout those kinds of things…
• Phichit was super surprised and impressed with Yuuri’s GPF performance, including the fact that he had four quads and a flip in his FS. He also thinks Yuuri is very “manly” for pulling off such a feat
• Phichit: (shouting) Everyone! My best friend got a silver at the GPF!!!
• Phichit and Yuuri were both super happy to be able to see each other at the GPF, say it brought back fond memories of their time in Detroit together, are proud of each other’s accomplishments and are excited for the future
Best Friends Forever, I love these two so much…
One night after a difficult mission made Bruce even gruffer than usual, his children gathered for a group complaining session that featured sarcastic Bruce-impressions and comments like “it would be nice to get positive feedback every once in awhile”
“I get that he loves us and all, but he could stand to show it” “Or say it, even. Never heard him do that”
At that point Cass, who had been sitting quietly, confused all of her siblings by replying, “He says that a lot”
See, Cass’s understanding of language is different. She reads body language, and it allows her to understand how people feel when they aren’t necessarily communicating it to others. Technically, Cass has never heard Bruce say “I love you.” But she’s certainly seen him say it many, many times
And since her siblings found that hard to believe, she set about proving it to them. Through the rest of the mission, every time she saw Bruce say “I love you,” she approached the nearest sibling and whispered “There”
[Bruce adjusts Damian’s cape on his way past] “There”
[Bruce rolls his eyes as Dick and Tim strike intentionally melodramatic poses on the rooftop] “There”
[Bruce hands Duke a granola bar when his stomach starts growling] “There”
[Bruce uses excessive force on a villain that came slightly too close to Jason] “There”
[Bruce tells off the collective JLA for unprofessional behavior while they openly ignore him and continue said behavior] “There”
[Bruce turns away from the truly impressive kick flip Cass used to incapacitate three separate combatants with absolutely no change in expression] “There. See? He’s proud”
The others aren’t totally sure they believe her, but if she’s right…. wow. That kind of changes everything
And since Bruce had no idea any of that went on, she’s free to continue. Whenever Cass sees that one of her brothers is feeling down, she follows them around to act as Bruce’s translator. Somebody has to do it, she figures
i’ve seen posts talking about how this man with coran
isn’t alfor, but a husband. now, stay with me
we know coran and lance are really good friends, right? and coran already tried to cheer him up when he was homesick. now, what if this — the knowledge of coran’s husband - is what starts lance’s bisexuality arc?
they’re all chilling and one of them asks coran if he had a wife, back in altea 10,000 years ago, and coran is more than happy to answer ‘a wife? no! but i had a lovely husband’ and tells some crazy coran-like stories from their adventures, and while everyone is enjoying, the camera focus on lance’s longing expression, and then he looks down, saddened
later, lance goes to coran to ask him for more stories and asks if back in altea it was unusual, two men together; coran notices his puzzled expression but says nothing, so he happily obliges and tell him some stories (maybe flashbacks?!) and he doesn’t know what lance meant by unusual, since in every planet he’s been, it wasn’t unusual, even mentions some alien races. lance hears everything with a smile on his lips, and when he’s about to leave, coran calls him out and says ‘i don’t know how it is in your planet, but know that we will love you regardless anything, right?’ and lance nods happily and leaves.
Okay but if Jem Carstairs can be a good and kind person after being tortured nearly to death and being fatally ill for years after because of that, and hearing his parents scream for him whilst they were being tortured to death and then living in a place with a girl who hated them all, and a boy who tried to get everyone to hate him, then a girl who he is in love with, having the knowledge that he’d die before his time and never be able to live the entirety of his life with her, all whilst helping defeat the antagonists, protecting mundanes who would have been prejudiced against him due to his race (whilst being fatally ill), and never, ever complaining, then anyone can be a good and kind person too.
