please write a fic about enya not having any teeth so dio lasciviously chews a t-bone steak for her
For her 75th birthday, she bought herself a pair of false teeth.
They had been an utter disappointment. The teeth rubbed at her gums and fit uncomfortably in her mouth. The look of them was off when she smiled. There were too many teeth, too white, too straight, too unnatural.
Enya had given up on them soon afterwards. Perhaps she couldn’t eat anything that needed to be chewed or torn with teeth, but at least she didn’t look like a complete fool every time she passed herself in the mirror and saw her reflection.
A few years later when she meets Dio, she finds he has the opposite problem. Dio’s teeth are all in fine, beautiful condition. In his face, the whiteness looks pearly, and the straightness of the teeth beneath his fangs seem more like a terrible promise of what’s to come.
“Anything I swallow rots.” Dio tells her one evening, while they stay in a house that is not theirs (but is not anyone else’s either, now that Dio’s done with the ex-inhabitants). “Only blood digests. The rest remains until it curdles, and I remove it one way or another.”
His dinner, or what remains, lies on the dinning table. His stomach is wide open, drawn from his midsection and split down the middle to empty it. Easier than throwing up. It takes very little to heal this damage, just more blood. And there is always more blood.”
He cleans his stomach out one last time before he presses the sides together, and slides it back inside of himself, the exterior flesh slowly knitting together.
“But you can taste it?” Enya looks at the remains. Finely minced. It would be hard to believe it was ever in anyone’s stomach, though it certainly looks like it was in someone’s mouth.
“I can.” Dio covers the mess with a serving dish. “The act of eating is still within my reach. I simply can’t swallow afterwards.”
Enya smiles. Her gums are pink and bare. “I may have a suggestion to suit us both, Lord Dio.”
He is not opposed. And so, each night afterwards, Dio dines on fine meals and good steaks, sipping blood from wine glasses and savouring the best cooking that this world has to offer.
And when he is done, having gently spit each well-chewed bite onto his plate again, Enya is able to eat steak and lamb and so many other things for the first time in years.
They are just as delicious as she remembers. Maybe more so, now that she tastes Dio in every bite.
