he didn't actually say that just pointing that out!

That Jikook moment was NOT fanservice by ANY means. Whoever said it was fanservice is blind, in denial, or been an ARMY for two days. Like that was too natural + Jin's reaction + Jimin and JK didn't even acknowlede Army's screams + both of them like literally walked away after, pretended it didn't happen and went on business like usual. That moment was unplanned. (p.s. Jimin legit looked like he stopped himself from actually kissing JK when he realized where he was)

that’s exactly what i’ve been wanting to say all day! you legit took the words right out of my mouth..

some people are calling it fanservice and i needed to point out that IT’S NOT! it’s just not ,in order for someone to think it’s “fanservice” they must know nothing about these two’s relationship’s “changes” / “the development stages of it”, throughout  the few past years  , like you said they’ve been a fan for 2 days .

plus as you said , if it was  indeed “fanservice” only, i don’t think jin would have been that surprised because from his point of view they must have looked like they were kissing which left him in shock ,

you’ve literally pointed everything out i love you!

what really proves that this moment was indeed unplanned is how they both reacted after it ended , jungkook suddenly felt an urgent need to stand up and look for something (water i believe) , and jimin just started going back and forth then standing next to taehyung , as if they both realised what they’ve done … in public .

yes indeed , jimin looked like he was really planning on kissing jungkook , he even pushed his head back for God’s sake , even jungkook was expecting a kiss from the way he closed his eyes and tilted his head , and can we talk about how submissive he looked for jimin

Headcanon: they never kiss **on the mouth** (actual gmm? quote from R/ -R didn't say they never kiss, he said "that's one of the many reasons I never kiss L on the mouth"). Have fun letting your brain play before you have to get back to work!

You asked for it, babe. ;)

When they were seven, Rhett kissed Link on the hand.

It was just a joke. He’d been galloping around the yard pretending he was a knight, and Link had been under the impression he was the dragon. He had been the dragon up to that point, he was sure of it, but then it turned out Rhett expected him to be every other character in the story too. Suddenly Rhett stopped and bowed, all poise and chivalry, took Link’s hand in his, and kissed its back with a less-than-chivalrous smooching sound.

“Eww!” Link squealed, yanking his hand away. “Why’re you kissin’ me?”

Rhett scoffed. “You’re the princess, dummy. I just saved your life.”

“I ain’t the princess. I’m the dragon, dummy.

“Well, then who’s gonna be the princess?”

Link paused and thought. Finally he smiled. “You’re the knight. I’m the prince. Thank you for saving my life, Sir Rhett.” Then he took Rhett’s hand and kissed it back.

So I dig how you articulate a lot of the SU critical stuff I see that I used to raise my eyebrow at, but I'm still not sure about one point: racist uncle. The episode didn't seem to force them to accept racism, it seemed p clear everyone was uncomfortable with it and it was more about the uncle coming to terms with it and begrudgingly accepting change. And like, I got racist relatives, small steps are about the best you can do. Not everyone can just cut out family at the first slight, idk

“ They’re illegal aliens! Wha…? You couldn’t even marry an American?! “

The thing is that he spouted real-life literally racist rhetoric against actual people and nobody stopped to say “hey that’s not cool”. They never challenged or changed his views on latinx people they just befriended him.

anonymous asked:

Not saying he would, but what if he just acts the same as he has been and how he was when Another Man came out? He didn't say anything, didn't thank people for their support, didn't talk about the content of the magazine, there was just very very little conveyed outside of the actual magazine. I want to hear every thought he had while putting this album together but I just worry that's never going to happen anymore.

This is about to slightly miss the point but I’m always utterly floored about how people act like he HAS to thank fans… What, are you his 80 year old grandmother??? It just rubs me the wrong way when people essentially demand gratitude on their terms.

Which…the few times Harry has taken to social media recently it’s almost always been to thank fans?? Like he actually does that quite a lot?? I’ve never doubted that he loves and appreciates us?? He’s not obligated to do so the same way that other people do, and if that’s a deal breaker for you then…let it be one.

Anyway. Harry does not have to conduct his public life/how he talks about his work to the approval of some of his fans. It’s OK if you disagree with that. If it gets in the way of you enjoying his work maybe you don’t have to be as dedicated a fan as you were in the past. That would be more productive for everyone involved, if people knew when to step back from celebrities they’ve outgrown or who have changed their styles (and that goes for ALL the boys). Like, if all you’re going to do day in and day out is bemoan what a celebrity ISNT doing to please you, I think it is very much worth reevaluating why you’re spending so much energy on something that’s come to upset you.

Why do you think eren kruger may be eren's atual father? I've though about it before but don't understand how it could be possible and am wondering what your thoughts are.

Oh hey, anon! I’ve already talked about this here if you’d like to take a look at that.

Basically the whole deal revolves around Grisha being castrated, and him devouring Kruger and regenerating with his DNA. The way I explain this is that because he lost his body parts before he became a shifter, the body parts were sent to him through the paths, or however the fuck titan powers work (but I’m not a biology expert so don’t quote me on that, lmao). There’s also the mysterious eye-color change. Grisha’s eyes were dark prior to him becoming a shifter, and afterwards they turned into a lighter color.

Eren’s titan form also resembles Kruger’s more than it does Grisha’s. There’s also that one panel with Zeke saying Eren looks nothing like his father, which is strange because he could just assume he looked more like his mother (why would pointing that out be important?).

I don’t actually think we’ll go back to discuss this in the manga. It’s probably just left up to the reader’s interpretation. My friend, @canon-rivamika, also has some posts about it on her blog if you want to check that out.

An actual discussion (more or less)
  • Friend: The Twelfth Doctor and Clara were just a father-daughter type thing.
  • Me: Points out how Steven Moffat, Jenna Coleman and Peter Capaldi all say it was a romance. And reminds him about Mummy on the Orient Express.
  • Friend: stew stew stew stew (Friend didn't actually say that, I just don't know how to describe the sound effect of someone stewing. It'd be funny if people actually said "stew" when they were stewing, though.)

I'd like to point out that in the deluxe album of MITAM, on the last page where they thank everyone, Mark Jarvis is listed twice. I was thinking it's because they didn't list him in FOUR, but idk. Just wanted to point this out!

… Mark Jarvis you say?

*puts on tinhat*

There was a theory that Mark was being used as a sort of stand in for Zayn.

Based on what was said, Mark/Zayn was supposed to be back during the NA leg.  Guess what?  He was originally planned to be, so it’s completely possible that the weird stuff around Where We Going Today Mark WAS the hint we thought it was.

If Mark is listed twice, it very well could be that the second one is actually for Zayn.

I haven’t actually seen the thank you page.  Can you tell me where I can find it?  I want to see the context and confirm for myself.

*Nevermind, found it:

It’s in the same section, so it’s not like they’re thanking him for two different services.  It was an accident or a very intentional nod to Zayn.

I could kiss you anon!  I got a digital copy and probably never would have looked at the booklet screenshots if someone else hadn’t pointed it out.

on the subject of oliver and felicity's amazing friendship, can we talk about the fact that oliver started talking about what he was feeling as soon as digg left to get roy? felicity didn't prod him at all, she didn't even say his name, he just started sharing right away and told her exactly what was going on in his mind.

We can talk about it, but you’re going to get an earful because this is a thing I have feelings about.

Over the course of this show, we’ve almost never seen Felicity push Oliver to open up (unless he’s not telling them things that they really actually deserve/need to know). He generally just starts talking to her, or something opens up the conversation, or she figures out a hint of what he’s feeling and opens up the conversation. Point is, she never pushes.

And I think by this point in their relationship, Felicity makes Oliver feel emotionally safe. It’s okay for him to be emotionally vulnerable with her because when he tells her what’s in his soul, he trusts that she’s not going to use that against him. Instead she’s going to pick up the pain he’s giving her so he doesn’t carry it alone, and she’s going to use the power of her words and the fierceness of her loyalty and belief in him to give him the strength he needs to keep fighting.

(And oh my goodness Stephen and Emily do the give and take of that so well. It’s beautiful. They turn what could be trite, overused dialogue into a scene with weight and power and emotion and intimacy and meaning. It’s lovely to watch and it’s been happening ever since, “I still feel like I can trust you.”)

I don't know if you played the rpg for SU but it had a pretty important story point about Steven being a more powerful gem than he and the other Crystal Gems may have believed. The show creators had a big hand in the game development, even going so far as to make sure Garnet's gems didn't show as blue and red until AFTER "Jailbreak" had aired. So it may be safe to say that the ending of the game might make it's way into the show's story line (no spoilers!). You have any opinion on this?

Ah I actually just beat the RPG a few weeks ago (so behind on the curve, I blame it coming out the week my finals began)!

This explanation on the show’s canon in relation to sidestories (ie comics and games) from Ian I find really helpful for discussions like these!

So, basically I think that “Attack the Light” is reflective of the potential Steven can show as a hero, be it intentional or not by both his Gem powers and his humanity guiding him. Themes from the game I can see being picked out to enhance Steven in the show and his development as a character, but the actual ending to the game’s main storyline maybe not- as that’s not really what was the most important lesson to be gained from it I don’t think?

Either way, you don’t need to play to games or read the comics to understand and see the progress characters and plot are making on the show by my understanding of canon levels for Steven Universe.

Although hey, now that “Jailbreak” has aired I did notice in my game that Garnet’s gems have updated accordingly to Sapphire and Ruby when she’s in a fainted state!

Hi. I just binge-watched my to ep1x21 and I have been wondering. Do you think you think Eobard Thawne/Harrison Wells has some sort of redeeming qualities(aside from being smoking hot XD)? He did go out of his way to save Ronnie and then guided Barry to save so many lives at the apartment fire, even though at that point he didn't have anything to gain.

Kudos to you, Anon. That’s a lot of episodes!

I think he has many redeeming qualities, actually. As you say, he did save Ronnie when really he didn’t need to at all. Plus he sacrificed his tachyon device to do so, right? HE DID IT FOR CAITLIN OKAY.

He generally just seems to be quite a decent guy, minus the whole ‘I’ll stab you through the heart with my vibrating fist’ thing. He’s always super polite to everyone, and has gone out of his way to do good deeds for people multiple times. Sure he’s an asshole sometimes, like when he was with Eddie in 1x21, but I think at times like that a lot of what he’s doing is an act.

He’s not a totally evil dude, he at least has reasons and motives for why he’s doing what he’s doing, unlike a villain such as The Joker who is just pure psycho. Granted we don’t know what those reasons and motives are just yet, but I’m praying they’re good ones! He’s just such a complex character and he makes me want to set myself on fire sometimes.

BUT, at the end of the day - as you’ve wisely stated:

which I think makes up for any character flaws he may have.
