Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry recipe from HCGEASY

I made this a couple of times and if you don’t like shrimp, you can use chicken.

Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry

1 lb. raw shrimp, shelled and deveined

1 med. onion, sliced and separated into rings

2 stalks celery , cut into ½ inch pieces

12 spears asparagus, cut into ½ inch pieces

2 c. broccoli, chopped into small pieces

2 c. cauliflower, chopped into small pieces

4 cloves garlic, minced

½ c. soy sauce

2 pkts. Splenda or other sugar substitute

Dash crushed red pepper

Lightly mist a large skillet with olive oil pan spray and preheat over medium high heat. Add onion, celery, asparagus, broccoli, and cauliflower. Cook and stir until vegetables are almost tender. Add shrimp, soy sauce, crushed red pepper, and Splenda. Cook and stir for 3-5 minutes or until shrimp is pink and opaque.

So I lost weight

Yesterday I was 281.6 and this morning I am 280.2 so I lost 1.4 lbs. This may not seem like a lot but heres why its so significant to me–

All my life, the only way I have ever been able to lost weight is stupid fad diets. There was one time where I tried to do it on my own, but I guess I just didnt understand calorie deficits and that I cant eat 1200 calories and then burn 400 of them on the treadmill. Just the treadmill, I did literally nothing else, and have a net of 800 calories. So obviously I lost no weight and I quit after maybe two weeks. I did HCG injections at the end of my senior year (end of June) for 30 days and lost 30lbs. I gained literally all of it back by November (which means I was at 300lbs which is my highest). I also accrued over $2000 of debt that I am STILL paying off because of this.

After gaining all of that back I even freakin’ did non-invasive liposuction!! The kind where they use ultrasound waves to break up your fat and then put you on a vibration plate and then you have to drink shit tons of water to flush the fat down. I didn’t drink the water, didn’t see a difference and felt stupid for even doing it in the first place, like really liposuction is what its come to?

After that nightmare, I tried the Ideal Protein Diet. Which by the way, I do NOT regret. IP is the most simple, super fat loss diet I have ever done. It taught me the correct way to eat, taught me about Ketosis, and taught me how to eat low carb. I was on it for 8 weeks and lost 20lbs. Unfortunately I got into a bad relationship at the beginning of this year and gained it all back and then some. I just recently restarted it and lost 11.6lbs, but felt I was tired of fad dieting. But instead of going completely off it, I transitioned using the tools and guidelines that they taught me to create my own fitness plan that I’ve been using and I have been losing inches like crazy, but today was my FIRST ACTUAL WEIGHT LOSS THAT I ACHIEVED ON MY OWN THROUGH MY OWN DIET AND EXERCISE instead of a STUPID fad diet.

So– I am proud of myself for that, even though its just 1.4lbs. :)

here’s the plan I’m following..in case you were wondering.

·         Track EVERYTHING on My Fitness Pal, down to the bite.

·         2000 net calories a day.

·         Try and stick to your daily nutrient goals on MFP.

·         No added sugars, unless it is in your one simple carb.

·         Blend spinach into a shake at night, to get down more veggies.

·         Three packaged protein products a day—follow IP’s protocol on restr. & unrest.

So, when I first started this diet, I didn’t really think it through..I started it and for a week things were goin great lost like 7 pounds! But then I went on a 7 hr round trip and then I went out of town again. Being on the hcg diet and traveling..just not going to happen! Anyways…This I really need this diet to work!! SO, I already did the gorge days and Now, I’m drinking my first glass of TeA!

Anybody have any advice on how to stick with a diet?

just because...

While I realize I still have a lot to go, I feel pretty badass about where I am now.

Extra Lean Ground beef, Napa Cabbage, Old Bay Seasoning, Cayenne Pepper, Worcestershire, Garlic Clove, Shallot, Little bit of Water, Little bit of Fat Free Beef Broth.

Got the idea from another hcg user. Just changed a few things. SUPER GOOD. didnt eat all of the beef though. felt guilty. but i feel like the body needs red meat sometimes. and the cabbage wilts down to nothing. sad. I also only ate 4 mushrooms and 3 ounces of Cod for lunch so i could have this. and i didnt even finish it all. Also drinking water with a FAT STRAW helps. That’s a bubble tea straw..oh how i could use one of those..not.

Cucumbers, 2 tbls. of Sour Cream with Ranch seasoning mixed in.

Now, i know this isn’t protocol, but I was told i could have a half cup of fat free plain yogurt if i was feeling reeeally hungry, knowing it could slow my weight loss down. i went to see the nutrition label..TOO MANY CARBS AND SUGAR! So i looked at fat free sour cream instead..much better! :) and i’m only having a tablespoon or so. I’ve been on Medifast before [yuck] and i ate this just to not quit and it really helped. would be even better with celery since it has like no calories. Be SUUUUPER careful choosing each ingredient. I wont buy seasoning with more than 1 carb. [none is better obviously] Anyway, point is..give it a try for a day, if it doesnt do it for you, then at least you tried. And i’m not eating any melba toast if i eat this.

cant wait to weigh in tomorrow. we’ll see how it goes.

The first photos are from December 2012 I was at 225 and the second photos are from today. In 4 months I have dropped 45 pounds and my mom has lost about 30.

I am using the hcg diet and my mother is just following a healthy diet similar to what I eat without the drops.

I can honestly say I feel so much better, I am half way through my second round of the drops and will probably go through one more round before I will be completely happy

Massaged Kale Taco Salad

I know! Another iffy food. Kale. Some people think it’s an HCG yes and others are firmly in the NO CHANCE camp. I personally feel that it falls within the “all leafy greens” category and use it sparingly during my VLCD and still see loss the next day.

Step one: Rip kale up and remove hard stems. In large salad bowl, squeeze one full lemon over kale. Then, slowly massage kale with hands until the green becomes much more rich and the texture changes from tough to nice and chewable. Season with salt.

Step two: Heat diced onion in non stick pan over medium heat. Use a tablespoon or two of broth to help cook. Add lean beef (96/4 preferably) in non stick pan and cook over medium heat, seasoning with salt, pepper and garlic. Fold in diced tomatoes at the end.

Step three: Layer over kale and flavor with hot sauce (I used Frank’s original):

Step four: One of my favorite ways to add flavor while in phase two is to pickle red onions. This can be accomplished very quickly and easily by boiling vinegar (any kind will do although I primarily use apple cider or red wine) and pouring it over sliced red onion until the onions are fully submerged. A quick steep will give a nice pickled flavor perfect for tacos and fish on the diet. Use liberally as a topping:
