have seen maybe a handful

i dreamed about you last night. we sat on a couch overlooking the city. i said, “i’m scared of this whole thing breaking,” and you looked at me with those eyes that hold forests in them and said, “i have control, don’t worry,” and i said, “i’m falling,” and you said, “i’ll catch you. i’m ready.”

i want to hand all of my fears over to you in your small beautiful fingers so you can break them to pieces. the first time you looked directly at me, i forgot how to breathe. it was a good thing.

out here in the real world, it is raining and you’re not around to taste it. out here in the real world, i drown every time you’re in his arms. out here in the real world, pretty girls with faces like fairies don’t crawl into bed with the likes of me. i want to sign over my soul and body. out here in the real world, you’d drop me.

i want to tell you all my secrets. i want to tell you all my stories. i want to tell you i’m falling.

please let me down gently.

This may be lost to the abyss, but, I know between the forum post and the changes on the PTR people are confused about whether the next hero is Doomfist or not.

I’ve seen a lot of people salty, nasty things about Blizzard’s forum comment and point to WoW as an example of “Blizzard bullshitting us.”

First off, they’re not lying because even if we’ve figured out Doomfist is the next hero, we don’t know who Doomfist IS.
Or who the previous wielder was.

There are a lot of faces and names that have been placed in the game, and many others that we’ve yet to have seen.

Maybe there’s a handful of people who HAVE figured out who the current/next Doomfist will be, and who the glove used to belong to.

But the majority of us probably DON’T know, and that could even be because the identity of the individual hasn’t been hinted in game at all.

So yeah, just because we’re pretty sure the next hero is gonna be using Doomfist, doesn’t mean we know WHO they are or who we THINK they might be.

They’re encouraging us to look for clues and hints and try and solve the puzzles placed in lore. They’re encouraging critical thinking.

If that’s not your jam that’s fine! That’s what spark notes are for.

But yeah. The game isn’t even a year old yet so they’re still ironing out how lore details get revealed and such.

So no, the lead Devs aren’t being assholes, they’re being DM’s to millions of people and will sometimes have to answer questions that are vague-ish because spoiling the surprise for EVERYBODY just because a few people are on the right track isn’t fair for the people that, you know, prefer watching things unfold.

Black Salt

Apparently “black salt” is a form of Hoodoo, which I have seen mentioned off hand maybe once? while looking it up, mostly in things aimed towards new age witchcraft and Wicca.

This is how cultural appropriation happens.

People take and use things from another culture, don’t talk about it’s significance and where it came from, and then where it comes from is forgotten, and the aspects of that culture get erased.

I had thought it was just a form of colour magic. That all being said I no longer feel comfortable recommending the use of black salt to others, as I don’t know much about the Hoodoo practice.

If I have recommended it’s use to you before, or if anyone has felt offended at my use of black salt in the past, I apologize.
