Our Shaykh, Shaykh Muhammad al-Ameen ash-Shanqeeti [رحمه الله] said in ‘Adwaa al-Bayaan’:
‘Allaah [تعالى] clearly mentioned in this noble Ayaah that those who followed the first to embrace Islaam of the Muhaajiroon and the Ansaar with goodness that they also enter with them under the pleasure of Allaah [تعالى] and with the promise of eternity in the gardens of Paradise and the supreme success. Allaah clarified in other places that those who follow the first to embrace Islaam with goodness, share with them in goodness, like the saying of Allaah [تعالى]:
وَآخَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ﴾
«And He has sent him [Prophet Muhammad] also to others among them [Muslims] who have not yet joined them [but they will come].» [Jumu’ah: 3]
«And those who believed afterwards, and emigrated and strove hard along with you, [in the Cause of Allaah] they are of you.» [Anfaal: 75]
It is not hidden that Allaah [تعالى] clearly mentioned in this noble Ayaah that He was pleased with the first to embrace Islaam of the Muhaajiroon and the Ansaar and also those who followed them exactly [in Faith]. It is a very clear evidence from the Qur’aan that who-ever cursed them and hated them then he is a deviant, opposer of Allaah Jala Wa Ala, whereby he hated the one with whom Allaah was pleased with, there is no doubt that hatred for the one with whom Allaah is pleased with is opposition to Allaah Jala Wa Ala – and it is disobedience and tyranny.’”

Those who come after them pray: “O our Lord! Forgive us our sins, as well as those of our brethren who preceded us in faith, and let not our hearts entertain any unworthy thoughts or feelings against [any of] those who have attained to faith. O our Lord! Verily, Thou art compassionate, the source of grace!
