Van Morrison March 1974, Cambridge MA

Today’s exhibit preview. Van Morrison played the Harvard Square Theatre in March of 1974. Having spent time in the area in the late 60’s, working on his masterpiece Astral Weeks, he was looking to make a return visit. Though an established star by the mid 1970’s with hits like “Brown Eyed Girl” and “Moondance” he opted to play a small venue as a tribute to the town he once called home.
