harry hook descendants imagine

Thrive // h.h

A/N: wow I went overboard with this and it’s really all over the place so if you’re confused feel free to message me so I can make things clearer.

This is my first imagine for Harry Hook so I don’t really have his character down yet, also I really hate the ending but I didn’t want it to go on forever so I needed to finish it up.

Being the fifth wheel in a group of some of the most infamous VK’s has never been Y/N’s ideal life, but when approached by the four most feared kids on an island, one does not simply say no.

She hangs around as almost a form of protection, the stigma of the four keeping others away from her. Almost like a security blanket, she can count on having a place in the corner of Mal’s apartment, even if she only stood in the shadows.

Then one day that protection vanishes, the core four summoned to Auradon on Prince Ben’s orders, leaving her behind with nothing.

Two months later she makes her way down an alley way, tugging down the sleeves on her jacket as she nears Ursula’s Chip Shop.

Practically the entire restaurant freezes as she enters, drawing the attention of two teens in particular.

“Well well well,” the teal haired girl sing-songs, dropping a tray onto a table as she walks by, “what do we have here?”

She walks up to the girl, eyebrows raised.

“Tell me Harry,” Uma asks, circling around the her, “are we taking in strays?”

“Hm, I dunno,” the boy replies, smirk on his face, “she’s cute though, maybe we should keep her. I could use another play thing.”

“I just came for food,” Y/N replies, crossing her arms over her chest, “not to join some kiddy pirate crew.”

Uma place a hand on Harry’s chest before he can rush forward, her eyebrows raised slightly.

“Impressive,” she mutters, nodding, “take a seat, I’ll have a server sent your way.”

The girl sits down on a stool, all to aware of the boy who now occupies the seat next to her.

“It’s a shame darlin’,” he drawls, leaning his chin on his hand, “we could’ve had lots of fun together.”

“Never thought you’d want anything to do with me,” she replies, raising an eyebrow, “last I checked I was part of Mal’s crew, not Uma’s.”

“And last time I checked,” Harry smirked, “your little crew are now frolicking around the fields of Auradon, and you’re still here. No crew, no friends, no nothing.”

The girl clenches her fist under the table, swallowing back her words.

“Your point?” She asks.

The pirate smirks, twirling his hook around in his hand.

“Just plotting love,” he says, standing up, “I’ll see you ‘round.”

That is the first of many encounters with the infamous pirate teen, it seems as if every time she turns a corner he’s there, a smirk on his face, the hook in his hand and a backhanded complement dripping off his lips.

Four months after Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos left for Auradon she’s walking through the Isle, hands shoved in her pockets.

“Hello there love,” he says from behind her, a half smile appearing on her face, “fancy seeing you here.”

“Is it?” She asks, keeping her stride as Harry falls into step next to her. “Don’t you know where I am at all times? Isn’t that the job of a stalker?”

“I’m offended you would even think I would stoop to that level,” he says, placing a hand on his heart in fake shock.

“What do you want Hook?” She questions, leaning against the brick wall.

“I’ve got a proposition for you,” he replies.

“Do you now?” She smirks. “And is this your proposition or Uma’s?”

“Both,” Harry answers, twirling his necklace around in his fingers, “come to the chip shop tonight, two a.m. We want to talk.”

With that, the pirate turns on his heel and walks down the alley.

“And if I don’t?” She calls.

“You will.”

And she does, at two a.m. on the dot she shoves her way into the shop, one hand on her hip.

“She’s a prompt one,” Uma says from the back.

“Mother always taught me to be on time,” she says sarcastically, making her way towards her.

“Mother’s always give the best advice,” Uma replies, gesturing for the girl to sit down.

“So what is this,” Y/N asks, “I’ve already told you that I don’t have any info on Mal and her friends, haven’t heard from any of them since they left.”

“Nah it ain’t about that,” Uma shakes her head, leaning on her elbows on the counter, “I want…well, we want you to join our crew. Not an entry level type thing, I want you up with us, with me and Harry and Gil. I wanna add a fourth to our ranks.”

“Why me?” She questions, leaning forward. “You could get anyone on this island, especially since Mal left, so why me?”

“Power,” Uma shrugs, “simple as that. You were on Mal’s crew, you’ve got status here. You need a crew and I need a fourth member, figured we could help each other out.”

“You’d be willing to work with me?” Y/N questions, noticing Harry lurking in the background. “And your crew would too?”

“They don’t have a choice,” Uma replies, “but yes, I am willing.”

“And you?” Y/N throws her question at Harry, keeping her eyes trained on Uma.

She sees Harry smirk from the corner of her eye.

“Welcome aboard princess.”

A few days later Y/N joins the pirate crew aboard their ship, arms crossed over her chest.

“I’ll teach you the ropes,” Harry says, “literally and figuratively. You’ll pick it up in no time.”

The two teens spend practically every minute of every day together for the next few weeks, becoming incredibly close incredibly fast.

“We’ve been working hard all day love,” Harry says, leaning against the mast as the girl turns to look at him, “let’s go on a walk.”

“You sure Uma is okay with that?” She asks, quirking an eyebrow.

“Uma doesn’t control every single thing I do,” he rolls his eyes, “c'mon, lets have a rest.”

“Walk me down the beach?” She suggests, holding her hand out to him.

Harry takes it gladly.

“After you princess.”

The two teens walk down the sand, hands still intertwined.

“So I know that ‘dating’ isn’t really a thing here,” she starts, “but you and Uma…is that a thing or?”

“Me and Uma?” The pirate laughs. “Nah, we’re just mates, the best of friends I would say. We’ve been friends since we were toddlers. Why?”

“Just curious,” she shrugs, staring at the shore line.

“I would call dating a thing here though,” Harry says, “it maybe be different than what they have there at Boradon,” Y/N laughs at his nickname for the mainland, “but it’s still a thing. We may be villains, but we’re allowed to fall in love, to get as close to a happy ending as possible.”

“You think we deserve that?” Y/N asks. “Cause I think the people over there think we deserve to pay for the sins of our parents.”

“Doesn’t matter what they think,” Harry replies, “they don’t know what life’s like over here, they don’t get a say in what we deserve.”

“I like that,” she smiles.

“I like you,” Harry says, biting down slightly on his lip as he looks at her.

“Yeah?” She asks, a half smile on her face as the boy nods. “I like you too.”

Harry’s smirk widens, his hand squeezing hers as they continue to walk down the beach.

“We should head back soon,” Y/N says quietly, “I promised Uma I’d cover a shift at the shop tonight.”

“Kiss me first,” Harry says, turning her around so they’re face to face instead of next to each other, “then we’ll go back.”

She does as he asks, smiling as she presses her lips to his. She feels his hand cup her cheek, the slight sea breeze blowing through her hair.

“More of that later?” She questions, causing Harry to smirk again.

“Much more of that later, love,” he says, taking his hat off of his head and placing it on hers, “much more.”

Six months after Mal left the Isle, she came back. Y/N sits in Ursula’s shop, she felt Mal’s presence before Harry even told her.

“She’s back isn’t she,” the girl asks as her boyfriend plops into the seat next to her, “I can feel it.”

“Yeah, she is,” Harry replies, “saw her at Tremaine’s salon, how are you doing?”

“I guess ’m okay,” she shrugs, “but that girl essentially left me for dead, right now all I want to do is see the look on her face when she realizes I thrived while she was gone, that I don’t need her or her posse to run this town.”

“You’re so hot when you’re revengeful,” Harry growls, surging forward and practically smashing their lips together in a heated mess.

“Oh get a room you two,” Uma says a few minutes later, practically throwing a tray down on the bar for Gil.

Harry pulls away from her, only to press another short, bruising kiss to her lips.

“I’ve got a plan,” Uma says, leaning against the counter, “you ready for this?”

Her question is pointed at Y/N, the girl smirks.

“I’m ready for anything.”

Much to Y/N’s surprise, Mal actually shows up to the shop. Uma practically growls, walking up to the purple haired girl as Harry slides an arm around Y/N’s shoulders.

“How ya doin’?” He whispers, lips ghosting over her ear as he kisses the skin gently.

“She may have changed her look, but she hasn’t changed her attitude,” the girl says, “she hated being bad, deep down she always wanted to be like the kids in Auradon, no amount of hair dye and leather can change that.”

As Mal and Uma talk, the purple haired girl’s eyes shift around the shop, landing on the couple near the back.

Y/N presses kisses to Harry’s jaw line, taking the tri-horned hat off of his head and placing it on hers, a smirk playing on her lips as she sees Mal turn her gaze back to Uma.

“And what exactly did that accomplish?” Harry questions playfully.

“Maybe nothing, probably nothing,” Y/N shrugs, smiling up at him, “but it was fun.”

“You’re evil,” Harry mumbles.

“You love it.”

“Hmm,” he hums, grin on his face, “that I do.”

“Walk me home?” She asks, intertwining their fingers.

“After you,” Harry replies, opening the back door for them to leave.

The couple makes their way down the alley, Harry’s arm around her shoulders and their fingers intertwined.

“No no I’m serious,” Y/N says with a light laugh, “she froze the entire kingdom and then turned her own sister to ice.”

“Sounds like she belongs over here,” Harry replies, “not in Auradon.”

“Must be because she’s of royal blood,” the girl shrugs, “but who knows.”

The conversation comes to a halt when Y/N’s eyes land on her used-to-be friends standing in the alley way.

“Y/N?” Evie questions with surprise. “You’re still here?”

“Where else would I be?” Y/N shoots back harshly, Harry squeezing her hand gently.

“What’s going on here?” Jay asks, hopping down from his perch above the alley.

“Just trying to get home,” Y/N replies, “what are you all doing here?”

“Getting Ben,” Carlos answers, glaring at Harry, “no thanks to this clown.”

Y/N places a hand on Harry’s chest, holding him back.

“Just leave it,” she whispers, shaking her head, “they’re not worth it.”

“You’ve changed,” Jay says, crossing his arms, “last thing I remember you wouldn’t go near Uma or her crew.”

“Yeah well,” she shrugs, looking up at Harry, “I had to survive somehow, the only friends I had deserted me. And things just…happened.”

Harry kisses her forehead, Carlos’s jaw practically hitting the floor.

“Well that’s…” he searches for words, eye darting around the alley, “new.”

“Time to go?” Harry asks in a whisper, the girl nodding in agreement.

“Good luck getting your friend back,” she says, “you’re gonna need it.”

The two of them swagger off, Harry spinning the hook around in his hand.

“You’ve gained more confidence since they left,” he says, “it’s hot. I’m proud of you.”

“All thanks to you,” she replies, “when I was friends with them I felt…weak. Like I was a charity case or something, but when I’m with you and Uma and Gil I feel…powerful. I feel like I matter.”

“You do matter,” Harry replies, “and we’re gonna rule Auradon together. And no one is going to ever make you feel like you don’t matter again.”

“Promise?” She questions, smile on her face as she cups his cheeks.

“Promise,” he smiles, kissing her hard, “we’re gonna rule the world princess.”

“We ride with the tide.”

A/N: this is my first descendants imagine, I hope you enjoy!!

No one dared enter the fish and chips shop after Uma returned from her failed attempt at getting revenge on Mal.  Only her and her crew went inside, hence causing business to be at an all-time low.  Not that it was usually busy, but Uma needed the money to satisfy her mother, and Harry’s petty theft was not enough to sustain them.

So when a girl in a torn up, bright red dress and white leather jacket walked into the shop, it took everyone by surprise.  All the pirates suspiciously eyed her as she entered.

It wasn’t a mystery who this girl was: (Y/N) Heart, the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, was notoriously different from her mother.  While the Queen of Hearts was tempestuous, loud, and violent, (Y/N) was a mysteriously quiet and patient girl.

“Well, well,” Harry was the first to approach her, wearing his iconic smirk. He leaned against the wall and brushed a strand of her hair out of her face with his hook. “What ‘cha doin’ here, princess?”

“Just getting some lunch, Hook,” she answered simply as she grabbed his hook, moving it away from her face.

Harry chuckled to himself as he stepped out of her way, mockingly bowing as she walked past him.  She sat down at an empty table.

Uma stormed up to Harry and grabbed his collar to whisper in his ear.

“I don’t trust her,” she muttered.

“She’s just getting some food, Uma,” Harry quietly countered her, keeping his eyes glued to (Y/N).  "There’s nothing to be suspicious of.“

“She used to be friendly with Mal,” Uma spat.  "I don’t care if she’s just here for the chips.  Keep an eye on her.“  She slammed a tray with fish and chips on it in Harry’s chest and pushed him towards (Y/N).  He approached her table and carelessly tossed the tray onto the table.  When she looked up at him, she watched as Harry turned around the chair across from her and sat down in it.

"The waiters don’t usually keep the customers company,” (Y/N) noted as she grabbed a chip.

Harry smirked.  "Do I look like a waiter to you, sweetheart?“

"You did bring me my food.”

“Touché.”

They sat in silence as (Y/N) ate her fish and chips with Harry occasionally stealing a chip.

When her meal was finished, (Y/N) nonchalantly tossed a random amount of cash on the table and stood up.  Harry immediately followed suit and shot up from his seat.

“Thanks for the food,” she sarcastically thanked with a tight smile, and she turned on her heel, exiting the shop.  Harry turned and glanced at Uma, who signaled for him to follow her.  He groaned as he went after her.

“You know, villains don’t normally use manners,” he said once he caught up with her.  He attempted to wrap his arm around her shoulder, which she immediately shrugged off.

“I’m not a villain,” she responded.  "My mother is.“

"But you’re her daughter,” Harry replied, furrowing his brows.  "Don’t you at least think you’re evil?“

"Evil?  No.” She shook her head.  "I’m unpleasant, sure, but not evil.  I’m not gonna try to fool myself like Mal did and try to convince myself that I’m evil.  I’ll do what I have to do to protect myself in this place, but that’s it.“

"Then I guess you’re on that list to get more VK’s into Auradon,” Harry snorted, rolling his eyes at the mere thought.  To his surprise, (Y/N) laughed.

“Oh god no,” she scoffed.  "Just because I’m not evil doesn’t mean I’m gonna go to the land of preppy princes and princesses.“

Harry found himself genuinely laughing at that.  Before he could utter a response, (Y/N) stopped in her tracks.

"Well, this is my place,” she announced, gesturing to the building covered in red paint.  "Thanks for walking me home.  It was very gentlemanly of you.“

She walked into her house before Harry could argue that he was definitely not a gentleman.  For a moment, he almost forgot that the only reason that he walked her home was because Uma wanted him to follow her.

The next morning, Harry found himself wandering in the general vicinity of (Y/N)’s house, waiting to "accidentally” bump into her.  His opportunity presented itself when (Y/N) stood by a fruit stand, examining the apples.

“What a coincidence,” Harry whispered into her ear as he approached her from behind, “finding you here.”

“Didn’t think this was your area, Hook,” (Y/N) quipped, not looking away from the fruit.  She didn’t bother to tell him off as he wrapped his arm around her waist.

“I’m just full of surprises, aren’t I?”

“You certainly are,” she agreed with sarcasm dripping from each word.  She filled her bag with apples, not paying attention to Harry, who had his chin resting on her shoulder and his arm wrapped around her waist.  She handed some cash to the lady behind the cart and began to walk home, Harry’s arm still resting in the same place.

“Why do you always pay for things?” he questioned.

(Y/N) shrugged.  "Because people need it,“ she answered.

"That’s not a very evil-”

“Unpleasant,” she corrected.

Harry rolled his eyes.  "Right, unpleasant.  That’s not a very unpleasant thing to do.“

"It’s not my life mission to be an unpleasant person, Hook.”

Harry stopped before (Y/N), this time, upon recognizing her house.  She lightly smirked as he unwrapped his arm from her waist.

“You know,” she leaned in to whisper in his ear, “it’s not a very unpleasant thing for you to always walk me home, too.”  She quickly kissed Harry’s cheek before dashing inside, leaving him standing outside as he fought the blush creeping into his cheeks.

Harry continued to follow (Y/N), as Uma ordered, throughout the rest of the week.  Although, for him, it felt less and less like following every day.

He was about to leave the fish and chip shop that day to begin “following” (Y/N), but before he could exit, Uma stopped him.

“Where are you going?” she inquired.

“To follow (Y/N),” he answered as if it was obvious.

“You’ve been following her for a week,” Uma said, “and you’ve found nothing suspicious.  I think it’s safe to say she’s not a threat.”

“I said that to you when she came in, but you still made me follow her,” Harry argued.

Uma rolled her eyes.  "Whatever, it’s not a concern anymore.  Go train instead, you’re gonna get out of shape if you keep spending all your time following this girl.“

Harry longingly stared at the exit for a moment before reluctantly nodding and heading towards the ship, grabbing a sword on his trek there.

He trained with Gil for a few hours before declaring that he needed a break.  When he turned around to leave the ship, he spotted (Y/N) standing by the bridge.  He smirked as he noticed her gaze scanning his shirtless figure.

"What brings you here, princess?” he asked, grabbing a towel.

She bit her lip and avoided eye contact with him.  "I-“ she stopped, choking on her own embarrassment.

"Yes?” Harry couldn’t help but allow the grin that was exponentially growing on his face.

“I came here because you weren’t by my house today,” she muttered, keeping her gaze focused on the ground.

“What was that?” he questioned as he inched closer to her.  He knew exactly what she said the first time.

“You weren’t by my house today,” she repeated a bit louder this time.

“But why did you come here?” Harry pressed, continuously moving closer to (Y/N) until her back was pressed against a wall.

“I told you-”

“But that wasn’t really why,” he interrupted her.  Her gaze was still focused on the floor, so he grabbed her chin and tilted her head up.  "Look at me, princess.“

"I like walking around with you, okay?” she finally burst.

Harry smirked.  "That’s all I needed to hear, princess.“  He began to lean in, still gripping her chin, and their lips were millimeters apart when they were interrupted.

"Harry!” Uma yelled, storming towards the ship.  Harry groaned as he moved away from (Y/N), resting an arm above her head.

“Sorry, love,” he quietly apologized before turning to Uma.  "Yes, Uma?“

"What are you doing?” she demanded.

“Taking a break from training.”

“With her?”  She angrily gestured towards (Y/N).  "I told you that you don’t have to follow her anymore!“

"Follow me?” (Y/N) echoed, stepping back from Harry.  "What does she mean, follow me?“

"Princess, I-”

“You only walked with me because Uma ordered you to keep an eye on me,” she didn’t allow Harry to explain.  "You never wanted to spend any time with me.“

"No, no, sweetheart,” Harry tried to cup her face, but she tore it away. “I-”

“All that flirting,” she spat, backing away from him.  "God, I’m so stupid, I actually thought that meant something.“

"It did, (Y/N)-” He grabbed her wrist in an attempt to prevent her from leaving.

“Congratulations, Harry Hook,” she scoffed, and Harry watched a single tear roll down her cheek.  "You are truly evil.“  She ripped her wrist out of his grasp and ran off.

He stood frozen in his spot, watching her figure fade.  When she was out of sight, he started to scream incoherently, punching the wall that he pinned (Y/N) to minutes ago.

"Come on, Harry, you haven’t trained with me for days!” Gil exclaimed after Harry rejected his offer to train for the seventh time.  "Uma’s gonna be mad if you get too far out of shape.“

"This is Uma’s fault,” Harry seethed.  "If she hadn’t ordered me to follow (Y/N), none of this would’ve happened.“

"Dude, get over her,” he waved the thought off.  "Sure, she was hot, but she was kinda lame.  I mean, she paid for her food.  Who does that?“

"Someone who’s not evil,” Harry muttered and stormed out of the shop.  He headed towards the fruit stand that he knew (Y/N) went to, the stand he went to every day since that incident at the ship, hoping that one day she’d be there.  Once he arrived and scanned the area, he learned that she, again, was not there.

“Damnit,” he mumbled under his breath.  He bided his time by perusing the selection of fruits.  By the time Harry felt like he had examined every piece of fruit at the cart, he was starting to give up hope.  He was about to leave when a voice caused him to perk up.

“Yeah, we ran out of apples this morning, so I’m just running a quick errand and grabbing them,” (Y/N) was explaining to the lady running the stand.  Hook’s eyes widened as he silently moved towards her.

(Y/N) reached into her pocket to pay for the apples, but Harry, who stood directly behind her, beat her to it.

“Allow me, princess,” he said, handing some cash to the lady.  Both the lady and (Y/N) stared at him with confused expressions, shocked that the notorious thief Harry Hook actually paid for something.  “Come on, love, I want to talk,” Harry whispered in (Y/N)’s ear before dragging her off.

They wound up in a dark, quiet alleyway.  When Harry finally stopped walking, (Y/N) found a chance to rip her arm out of his grip. She began to run away, but Harry caught her wrist.

“Just give me a minute to explain, please,” he begged her.  Taken aback by his usage of manner, she silently obliged and stopped trying to escape.  “I messed up.”

“Yeah you did.”  It was the first time she had actually spoken to him.

“I know, I know, and I’m a total idiot,” he agreed with her, “and I’m sorry.  When you walked in the shop that first day, Uma was suspicious of you. I told her that there was nothing going on, but she insisted that I follow you.  I didn’t want to, I swear, but I had to.  And every day that I spent with you, it felt less and less like following and more and more like… like-”

“Like what?” (Y/N) questioned, subconsciously inching closer to Harry.

“It felt like we were just spending time together, you know?  Actually enjoying it.”

“That still doesn’t justify you leading me on like that just as an attempt to get information,” she huffed, crossing her arms.

“Get information?”  He stared at her quizzically.  “I didn’t flirt with you to get information.”

“Then what was it?  Am I just a game to you?  Harry Hook, the infamous flirt on the Isle, just had to have a crack at me to see if he could do it. Well congrats, you did it.  Now you can move on and go pursue some other-”

Before she could finish her ramble, Harry frustratedly grabbed her face and smashed his lips against hers.  He slowly moved forward, backing (Y/N) into the wall.

“What,” she tore away from Harry, breathing heavily, “was that?”

“You never seem to let me speak, do you, princess?”  Harry grinned before pressing his lips on (Y/N)’s once again, this time allowing her to reciprocate faster.  She knocked his hat off his head and tangled her fingers in his hair.

“I’m still mad at you,” she reminded him after she pulled away, fighting a smile.

Harry grinned.  “No you’re not.”

There was a knock at your door.

You looked up, frowning for a moment, before taking this as an excuse to put off doing the homework for Fairy Godmother’s class. Getting up from your desk, you wandered over to your door to open it.

“…Mal?”

Sure enough, there she was.

“Y/N, we need to talk,” Mal said, pushing through into your dorm room.

You were still a little thrown from her sudden appearance. “I thought you’d gone back to the Isle? And your hair…you went back to purple?”

Mal waved a hand to cut you off. “We don’t have time for questions right now. I need your help.”

That definitely caught your attention. “What? Why? What’s wrong?”

“Ben’s been kidnapped,” Mal stated, her voice low. You’d never heard her sound so emotional, so sincere.

You blinked. “That’s horrible…but why do you need me? Shouldn’t we go to Fairy Godmother or Ben’s parents or–”

“Uma and her crew took him,” Mal revealed.

Oh. Everything clicked into place.

“Harry…”

What about about something with Harry and the daughter of Meg and Hercules? Idk with that wit I feel like they would be a good pair ya know!
Words: 3700 (Holy shit this was a lot longer than planned)
Warnings: Swearing and Fluff

“Ben! I said no. Which word don’t you understand?”
“Come on Y/N, I’m desperate. What am I supposed to do? Turn him away?”
“Come to think of it that’s not such a bad idea”
You knew something was up when Ben called you to his office that morning, he only had meetings there when he wanted something from you. And sure enough, there you were, being sucked into some plan you wanted nothing to do with.
“Y/N it’s not permanent! Just until we make some other arrangements” he said, looking at you with wide eyes, a tactic that usually caused you to cave in.
“I don’t see why it always has to be me!” You fired back, crossing your arms over your chest in protest.
You refused to back down. Being the daughter of Hercules and Meg meant you were fiercely competitive in a way that was often confused for blatant stubbornness, and felt less than enthusiastic to take orders from somebody else. You liked to make your own rules.
“Well, you’re the only student left who doesn’t have a room-mate”
“Fine. Then I’ll take Uma. She seems to just want to keep to herself which is perfectly fine by me.”
You didn’t mind really compromising too much, you’re mothers nature as much of a part of your personality as your father’s.
“She’s rooming with Mal and Evie”.
You spluttered and tried to stop yourself from laughing, knowing full well that living arrangement wouldn’t last for long.
“Queen of hearts daughter?”
“With Lonnie”
You rolled your eyes and sighed
“Okay then, never mind. What about Gil? Gil seems pretty harmless”
“With Jay and Carlos”
“Leah Gothel?”
“Staying with Jane”
“Come on Ben, work with me! What about… um … I don’t know … Hayley Facilier?”
“She’s with Audrey. Look Y/N, I’m only asking because there’s no other option. We’re all out of rooms!”.
You tapped your feet, there was no way you were giving up that easily.
“I swear there’s a rule about boys and girls having separate rooms”
“ Y/N, I’m King, I make the rules”
You huffed once more, taking another deep breath before making a decision you knew you’d regret.
“Okay fine! I’ll room with the pirate!” Ben’s eyes lit up  "What did you say his name is again?“
“Harry. Harry Hook. Thanks Y/N! You won’t regret this!” He said, grabbing your shoulders and pulling you to your dorm.
‘Hmmm” you answered, not entirely convinced the King was right.

You stopped and turned to Ben one more time before opening your dorm door.
“This is going to end badly,” you said flatly.
‘You’ve already said that"
“Yeah, well it seemed worth repeating”.
He chuckled at you, clearly thinking you were joking. You weren’t.
“Come on. He can’t be that bad,” Ben replied, opening the door for you and peering inside your dorm. He nearly jumped out of his skin. “Oh ..wow! This is, well… Different”.
Different was an understatement. You felt your blood start to boil as a you were faced with a tall, red leather jacket clad brunette, swing from your light fitting, painting a red line onto the ceiling that travelled down the walls and across the floor. Most of the walls were tagged with black and red graffiti reading “We ride with the tide” and the floors were already cluttered with miscellaneous pirate paraphernalia. It was safe to say you lost your cool.
“WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO MY ROOM!” You screamed charging towards the boy, leaving Ben sheepishly in the doorway.
He dropped from the ceiling so he was stood in front of you, twirling a paintbrush in one hand, a silver hook in the other.
“I decided to make some, how do I put this, improvements. Didn’t think yeh’d mind” He grinned at you taking another step towards you, putting his face uncomfortably close yours. “The names Harry Hook … And you are?”
“GOING TO KILL YOU!” You pushed him backwards “Get this off my walls right now!” You yelled gesturing to the spray paint covering every surface as you charged around the dorm.
“Aren’t ye just a ray of bloody sunshine” he retorted, whistling an unfamiliar tune as he strutted over towards you. “Oh, and seeing as we are skipping the introductions, I thought I’d tell yeh, you’re on my side of the room darlin’ ”.
Your eyes darted towards the pirate, to Ben, and then to the red line, separating one section to the other room to the other. He couldn’t be serious.
“Oh you’ve got to be kidding me” you muttered, starting to square up to Harry who was still grinning at you like a lunatic. He reached forwards, biting the air in front of you.
“Trust me when I say that I don’t do jokes” he replied, barely above a whisper, pushing his hook into the centre of your chest. You shoved it away.
“Ben!” You yelled expecting the King to say something, anything that would be of any use to the situation. He didn’t.
“Well, I’ve got to be going” Ben replied nervously, starting to walk away “I’ll leave you two to… um.. work things out for yourselves”
“Ben! Don’t you dare walk away from me right now!” You shouted after him but it was too late, he was already gone.
“I wouldn’t waste your breath princess, he’s gone”
“I’m not a princess” you growled, charging towards the door after Ben “I’m the daughter of Hercules which makes me a goddess” you added pointedly.
“Ooo, I’m so incredibly sorry your Royal highness. Do forgive me for forgetting to bow down” he replied sarcastically pretending not to have heard you, waving his hook flamboyantly before curtsying.
“I’M NOT A FUCKING PRINCESS! Now look! In fact you know what.. Forget this.”
You charged out of the room but stuck your head, back around the door frame. “This isn’t over Hook”
“Ready for round two when you are…” He paused for a second and smirked “… Princess”
You screamed at him as you stormed down the hallway, knowing full well that life just got a whole lot more difficult.

When you returned to your room later that night, you vowed to prepare for an all out war. Harry Hook was by far the most snarky, inconsiderate human being you had ever met and despite the fact that, yes you found him wildly physically attractive, you wanted him as far away from you as humanly possible. Your plan, as genius as it was, was relatively simple. Annoy the shit out of him until he had no choice but to leave. It was going to be fun.

“Y/N, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING! IT’S 3AM”
The pirate pulled himself up from his from his bed, clutching at his ears, glaring at you through the darkness. Struggling to stand up properly, he reached for the light switch, flooding the dorm room with light. There you were, casually vacuuming the carpet in the middle of the night, making sure to create as much noise as humanly possible.
“I THOUGHT, YOU KNOW THE PLACE COULD DO WITH A LITTLE CLEAN UP,” you yelled, competing for your voice to be heard above the whirring of the vacuum.
You smirked to yourself, the look on Harry’s face was priceless, a mixture of anger and pure confusion.
“TURN IT OFF”
“Nope!” You said in a sing song voice, continuing to move the vacuum up and down across the carpet.
“Y/N I said turn it off now!” Harry growled, charging towards you and taking it from your hands.
“You know, I don’t find you at all intimidating while you’re stood in pyjamas with tiny pirate ships on them” you cooed at him, squeezing his cheeks “Coochy Coochy coo!”
Harry looked down at himself, bare chested wearing only a pair of rather embarrassing shorts. You chuckled at his scowl.
“I could hurt yeh” he said, pulling himself closer and teasing through your hair with his hook “My enemies don’t usually last this long before I hook their pretty little faces”
“Oh how sweet of you! You must really love me then because the last time I checked my face was still in tact”.
You placed a piece of gum you were chewing on the end of his hook and danced on back to bed.
“You’ll regret doing this Y/N,” he said bitterly, pulling the vacuum chord and trudging back over to his bed.
“Sure I will. Right, well I do love having these little chats with you but I have an important meeting with Fairy Godmother in the morning so I’m going to sleep”
With that the lights turned out and you collapsed backwards into bed, feeling slightly accomplished.
“You don’t know what you’ve started princess” whispered the pirate inaudible “You don’t know what you’ve started”

King Ben didn’t really know what to expect when he trudged back up to Y/N’s dorm room the following morning. There had been noise complaints all night from neighbouring rooms on the same wing so he had guessed they still hadn’t worked out their very apparent  differences. He knocked on their door but after no reply he pushed it open himself. He had no idea what to say when he walked in on you pelting Harry with your shoes.
“I swear down Hook where are they?” You howled, picking up a flip flop and throwing it in Harry’s general direction.
He dodged it, virtually crying from laughter as you continue to stomp about.
“I have absolutely no idea what yeh talking about Y/N” he chuckled, clearly lying, catching a high heel and lobbing it back towards you.
“Harry! Please! I have to go, where are my shoes?” You begged, trying to reason with him.
“They’re all over the bloody place!” Neither of you had even noticed Ben standing there observing your thought-provoking behaviour.
“YOU THINK I DON’T KNOW THAT! THEY’RE ALL LEFT SHOES! THERE ARE NO FULL PAIRS”
Harry convulsed with laughter again until a ballet pump hit him in the face mid-flight.
“Now was that really necessary Princess?”
“I’M NOT A PRINCESS FOR THE LAST TIME!” You yelled at him, finally deciding that you would just have to go barefoot.
You spotted Ben “I told you this was a bad idea” you said, waggling your finger at him. The poor King was speechless.
“Prin-cess, prin-cess,prin-cess…” Harry started chanting in a whisper, causing you to shoot round and glare at him. He was still smirking.
“It’s okay Harry,” You said as you left with Ben, “Because last night, after I finished vacuuming, I fed your pirate hat through the paper shredder”

You and Harry refused to speak to each other until the next morning, when you continued your plan to irritate Harry until he had no choice but to move out. Subtlety was key in your opinion, so all of your moves were small and calculated.
“Morning Harry” you said as sweetly as you could manage, “I made you coffee”.
The boy, furrowed his eyebrows, confused by the gesture but took the mug anyway.
‘You ever hear of a little bit of gratitude?“ You mumbled as you made your way into the bathroom to brush your teeth.
“Apparently not. Please, enlighten me. Give me the benefit of ye vast wisdom” he replied sarcastically, following you.
“Keep rolling your eyes Hook, you might find your brain back their”. You ran your toothbrush under the tap as he winked at you through the bathroom mirror.
He took a sip of his coffee.
“Did you?” He spat the whole thing out “Ye petty little shit. Replacing sugar with salt. I bet ye finding this so very funny aren’t yeh” Harry said completely deadpan.
“Hilarious actually” you remarked, putting the toothpaste onto the bristles and starting to brush your teeth.
“You know what’s even more hilarious?” He started, so you turned your head to face him. The corners of his lips tugged up into a smirk. “Last night, I used your toothbrush”

“Ben I can’t do this anymore!” You complained to your best friend as you headed to the Tourney fields.
“What do you mean?”
“I woke up this morning to find that he had covered the entirety of my side of the room in pink post it notes, including me, when I was sleeping!” you said, throwing your hands up in the air
Ben gave you a stern look.
“Y/N you’re even worse. Yesterday, when you took his hook, he spent the whole day traipsing around campus with a pirate map you gave him, trying to find it. After all that you’d hidden it under his bed!”
“That was pretty funny though” you said, trying to contain your giggles.
“See you’re just as bad as each other. If I didn’t know any better I’d think you even liked him”
You punched the King in the arm playfully. As much as you wanted it not to be true, you had a sneaking suspicion that Ben was right. All you could think about was Harry, whether it was good or bad, and in some very strange way you began growing fond of the pirate. It was very worrying and you wanted more than anything for it to stop
“Ben you don’t know anything”

You returned back to your room that night, carrying the next stage of the plan. Smiling to yourself as you propped open the door with one hand, cradling Harry’s surprise with the other.
“Honey I’m home!” You screeched jokingly.
“Aren’t I just over the moon” Harry replied, jumping up from the sofa holding one of my dresses which he had cut holes into.
Then he looked at me.
“What the hell are ye holding?”
“Oh this,” you said, setting it down on the floor “This Harry is a cat.”
The kitten looked at me before darting off, springing up onto the window sill and curling up into a ball to sleep.
“I know it’s a fucking cat Y/N.  I want to know why ye brought it into our room” he said, quieter than you would have expected, bringing his face extremely close to yours again. You could feel his breath against you skin.
“Do you always use flirting as an intimidation technique or is it just me who’s personal space you invade on a daily basis”
“Y/N! I’m allergic to cats”
“Oh really! I never knew that.” You lied.
Of course you knew, that was the whole reason you got the cat in the first place.
“Mr Shnookem’s is staying exactly where he is”
“I’m telling ye now Y/N, the first time you take yeh eyes of that thing I’ll…”
You pushed your index finger to his lips, taking him by surprise.
“ Shhh I don’t want to hear it Harry”
You dropped your hand and walked to Mr Shnookem’s, just as he sneezed hysterically, giggling to yourself as you felt his eyes burn into you.

*Short time skip to the end of the week*

“HAROLD FUCKING HOOK!”
“Geez Y/N, with the amount of times you scream my name a day next door probably think we are…”
“What have you done with him?”
You had woken up to find Mr Shnookem’s was no longer sat at the foot of your bed like he did every night, and had spent the whole morning searching for him. You had checked everywhere the kitten could have wander off to, to no avail, with Harry being the only logical culprit for his disappearance.
“Yeh not seriously talking about that mangey cat are ye?” He asked barely looking up from the bowl of cake he was eating
“That cat never did anything to you” you spat “Well, tell me! What have you done with him?”
Harry raised an eyebrow at you, still not moving.
“I didn’t touch the stupid thing. Ye probably scared it off with ye non-stop scre…”
“I HATE YOU!” You slammed your hands down on the table Harry was sat at.
You loved that cat and were becoming more concerned and annoyed at Harry every second he refused to tell you where it’d gone. Harry slammed his bowl full of cake down and stood up, to stare you in the eye.
“Oh, ye hate me?” The pirate began “Join the club! There are weekly meetings at the corner of Fuck You Street and Kiss my Ass Boulevard”
“And to think I was finally warming up to the idea of becoming friends with you,” You said, but the tone was far more dispirited than you had expected it to be.
You turned and started to trudge away, before the pirate could see you tear up.
“Can ye stop accusing me for one min… Wait, are ye crying?” Harry’s voice softened towards the end of his sentence, a hint of confusion etched into the Scottish accent.
As much as you tried, you couldn’t help but cry. You looked back at Harry with blurry eyes, watching his shift in demeanour as he tried to work out what to do about the situation.
“I want my cat back!” You wailed like a toddler, your face crumpling as you wiped your running nose, no longer caring what he thought of you.
Harry dropped his smirk and instinctively pulled you into a hug, wrapping his strong arms around, and stroking the back of your head.
“Ye know I really didn’t do anything to him” he started, squeezing you a little tighter. “But if that stupid cat means that much to ye, I’ll help ye find it”
You shuffled backwards a little, looking up at Harry who towered slightly above you.
“Thanks,” you said meekly “I’d like that”.

Harry took your hand as you scowered the grounds of Auradon Prep for the runaway cat, purposefully ignoring your gaze as your palms brushed beside one another. It had become dark by now so the two of you began calling out for the kitten, pointing a torch in the direction of any trees or bushes where he could have been hiding.
“MR SHNOOKEM’S!” Harry called out, “Ye couldn’t have picked a more ridiculous name now could ye?”
“Hey! I think it’s cute,” you defended “Ridiculous, yes, but cute. MR SHNOOKEMS!”
“Sounds like somebody I know” the pirate mumbled.
“Did you jus…”
“MR SHNOOKEMS!” Yelled Harry cutting you off mid-sentence.
Your eyes lingered on Harry’s face, fixated on the blue of his eyes. He caught you smiling at him.
“What?” He asked.
“Nothing it’s just, maybe you’re not as bad as I thought”
“Are ye softening up to me Y/N?” Harry joked, a hint of cheekiness leaking back into his accent.
“Shut it! The word bad is still in the sentence” You laughed, lacing your fingers tighter with his.
“Oh thank god! I would have had to cancel my war plans if not. Ye should see what I have planned for tomorrow”
“Of all the possible villains, why did I have to get you?” You sighed theatrically, clearly joking.
'Of all the princess’s why did I have to get…“
At the mention of the word princess you shoved Harry backwards, causing him to stumble and fall head first into one of the flowerbeds surrounding the castle. You burst into hysterical laughter, before offering a hand to the pirate, who was whispering profanities to himself
“Yeh way stronger than you look ye kn… Well, well well, look what we have here!”
From the flower bed Harry pulled a very scruffy but easily recognisable Mr Shnookem’s, scooping it up in his arms and handing him you. Immediately, you nuzzled your face into the cats fur, wrapping it in a warm embrace. A beaming smile spread across both of your faces, as the two of you let out an ecstatic cheer, Harry grabbing one of your hands to twirl around in glee, celebrating at your success.
“We found him!” You giggled.
“I found him,” Harry corrected, sticking his tongue out at you and reeling you in closer with the hand he had been spinning you with
You pouted.
“I love you” you said, barely above a whisper.
“If ye tell that damn cat ye love him one more time, I swear I’ll…”
“I wasn’t talking about to the cat”
There was an uneasy silence that seemed to last a lifetime
“Y/N, your lip’s bleeding”
“How can that possibly matter?,” you said panicked at the confession you accidentally made and the fact that Harry wasn’t reacting “Did you not hear what I just sa..”
He didn’t give you time to react before he leaned in and kissed you, a subtle taste of metallic blood lingering across your lips. He ran his hand down your neck and along your collarbone, pulling away and blinking at you. You flung yourself into his arms, Mr Shnookem’s and all, letting go of the remaining reservations you had about the pirate boy . You ran your fingers along Harry’s cheekbones, down his chest and curving onto his back, tracing the contours of his shoulders blades. You felt him shudder slightly at your touch creating a the buzz of electricity. You reached for his hand, pressing your thumb against his wrist as he snuggled into your hair. You could feel the blood going through his veins, an indicator of how fast his heart was beating.
Neither of you moved until the kitten climbed between the two of you and began to lick Harry’s face. You laughed a little.
“See, Mr Shnookem’s does like you”
“I’m still allergic to the bloody thing” Harry shot back, pushing you playfully by the shoulder to get the cat away from him.
“It’s a good job I picked up these for you then,” You said, reaching into you back pocket and shaking a tub of allergy medication at Harry.
He titled his head at you, staring into your eyes with a mixture of curiosity and amusement.
“What?” You said, picking at a thread on your jumper nervously  "You forgot to pick up your prescription”
Harry let out a hearty belly laugh and wrapped you back into a hug, squeezing you until you have to pull away for air.
“Daughter of Hercules”
“Son of Hook”
“I. Love. You”. Harry brushed his lips gently against your forehead sending you into another fit of giggles.
“Does this mean we can get rid of the red line in our dorm room now?”
“Ye know what, that doesn’t sound like the worse idea”

  • Accidently scratching you with his hook which he spends weeks apologizing for, hardly daring to touch you in fear of it happening again
“Harry, accidents happen! It’s okay, you can hardly even see the mark.”
“I don’t care if you can’t see it, love. I hurt you and I promised to never do that.”

Those Eyes

Pairing: Harry Hook x Reader

Word count: 504

A/N: hope you enjoy!

Maybe if you hadn’t looked into those damned ocean blue eyes.

The sound of metal clashing against metal filled your ears, and you had to pull your mind out of the water to focus.

That smile.

Your sword clashed against the pirate’s, and you almost shivered when you saw his grin.

His voice.

“You’re quite impressive, might I say,” he cooed as you deflected his advances. “Not many princesses can sword fight.”

“You’d be surprised,” you responded with a voice stronger than you’d imagined. You continued to take jabs at him, slowly pushing him backwards.

“Merida’s daughter, right?” he guessed.

You nodded, not daring to look him in the eyes again. “(Y/N).”

“Lovely name,” he flirted. “I’d bow, but,” he gestured to the swords between them, “I think we’re both a bit too occupied.”

“I’ll take a timeout if I can see the infamous Harry Hook bowing at my feet,” you taunted, a smirk growing on your face.

“Maybe another time, love,” he said. Harry raised his sword and delivered a blow that threw off your balance, and he took that opportunity to advance towards you, inching you closer and closer to the water. You began to fight back, moving your sword faster and entangling it with Harry’s hook. With a firm yank, you pulled his hook right off of his hand.

“(Y/N), love,” he began to beg. He dropped his sword and held out his hand. “Alright, you win, princess. Just hand it over.”

“I don’t know, Hook,” you pretended to consider it. “How about that bow you mentioned before?”

He immediately got on one knee and bowed, even taking his hat off to reveal a mess mop of brown hair.

“Princess,” he looked up at you, and you were encapsulated by his eyes again, “please.”

You slowly moved your sword towards him, and you watched the excitement grow in his eyes as he fought off a grin.

“On second thought,” you muttered, before quickly turning around and tossing his hook into the ocean. He stared at you for a moment, dumbfounded, and stood up.

“(Y/N), you’ll be the death of me,” he whispered. His gaze continuously flicked towards the water, but he edged towards you. Not knowing what he was doing, you backed away from him until you were pressed against the railing. Harry grabbed your face and threaded his fingers into your hair, forcing you to stare into his ocean blue eyes.

You prayed that he couldn’t feel your racing heartbeat.

He brought his face right up to yours, and you could feel his warm breath against your lips. His mouth hovered over yours, lips barely touching.

“I hope I’ll be the death of you too, sweetheart,” he whispered, his lips brushing lightly against yours. You were about to lean in for more, but he backed away from you and jumped off the ledge, swimming after his hook. Sighing, you turned around and leant against the edge, watching him disappear under the water.

Those eyes would be the death of you.

Requested: Yes!
Words: 3770
Warnings: Angst (not a lot but it’s there)

Prompt:
A: It’s just…. It’s just that people like you shouldn’t fall in love with people like me
B: Are you fucking serious
A: What?
B: I get to decide who I do and don’t fall in love with. That’s mine okay?. No one else’s choice, not even yours. It belongs to me. I. Love. You

You had always knew you were different to the other kids on the Isle. Always. Even as a toddler you were clearly set apart from the other villain children; choosing to sit and watch their boisterous behaviour instead of partaking in it yourself. You were unmistakably good, there wasn’t a hint of bad in you. Unfortunately, your father Shan Yu, possibly the most ruthless and merciless of the villains, was not the most accepting of your passive behaviour, so you dreamed of Auradon, a place where thought you wouldn’t feel like a stranger in your own home. You couldn’t help it, you had no interest in terrorising others or making their lives miserable, instead you wanted to make friends, you wanted to help people, you wanted to learn.

When Ben eventually accepted all of the villain kids into his kingdom you thought all of your wishes would come true. You had a fresh start, a chance to surround yourself with people like you, a chance to be happy. It turned out there really was no people like you. You were instantly shunned by the princes and princess’ at the school once they figured out who your father was, turning there backs on you immediately as if his actions where your own. There was no chance of forming a friendship with any of the VK’s, you had exhausted that possibility many years ago, you were too fundamentally different to them, so you found you were left by yourself once again. To be honest, you had kind of grown accustomed to your own company and didn’t mind being alone. You began to realise that Auradon wasn’t so different to the Isle, sure it was cleaner and fancier but it could be just as lonely and isolating.

Despite little change when it came to friendships, you had discovered one new thing about yourself since arriving at Auradon; a distinct love for reading. The first time you stepped foot in the school library, you felt suddenly giddy, hardly able to contain your excitement as you stared at the seemingly never-ending shelves of hardbacks, tracing your fingers across the spines. As reading and academic interest in general was frowned upon back on the isle you had never even known libraries existed, so you took it upon yourself to make up for lost time. Any spare time you would have you would spend reading, curled up in your special corner of the library as you slowly worked your way through the endless collection of novels. It was quiet and you rarely saw people there but it was just how you liked it, peaceful and un-interrupted, fully submerged in whatever universe you were reading about. Then one day, completely by accident, everything changed.

Harry ran down the corridor, a wicked smirk plastered across his face as he sprinted from the enraged Tourney players behind him. The pirate may have been fast, but he knew they were faster, Chad leading the angered mob. Perhaps it wasn’t the best idea to put fish guts in their Tourney helmets, he thought to himself as he sped around a corner. Then he glanced back at the remnants of the slimy filth dripping from Jay’s hair as they charged after him and sniggered. Who was he kidding? He lived for the adrenaline rush. Still, while they were still behind him, he ducked out of their way, running through the doorway of a random classroom instead of continuing down the hallway. He pressed his face against the glass panel in the door, crouched down watching the Tourney players run straight past where he was hiding, sighing in satisfaction. Harry, slumped with his back to the door, laughing to himself as he caught his breath, slowly looking around the room he was in. It was bigger than he had anticipated and certainly not a classroom, the space occupied by neat rows of bookcases, overflowing with novels but was seemingly empty. His blue eyes scanned the corridor, in case anybody was still out there looking for him. The coast was clear, so he jumped up, gripping the door handle before stopping. Harry’s head whipped around as the pirate froze. He could have sworn he heard a noise.

A soft giggle, barely audible but a giggle all the same, that’s what Harry thought he heard. He brushed it off, putting it down to paranoia, and went to leave the room again. He was interrupted. Another giggle, this time louder, more prominent. He knew he wasn’t hearing things then and took a step towards the noise, his eyebrows furrowing slightly as he tried to work out where it was coming from. He trod carefully through the maze of book shelves, trying not to make a sound when he saw you. Instinctively he ducked down, hiding behind more books as a small smirk stretched across his lips.
“Now who are ye?” he whispered to himself as he fixated on your small frame, curled up beside a fireplace, holding an old book in your hands. A hint of recognition flickered across his eyes as he watched you grin at the hardback, beginning to laugh even louder at whatever you were reading. He was mesmerised by you, intrigued by how absorbed you were in the story, grinning to himself as huge belly laughs escaped from your lips.
“Where do I know ye from?” He said to himself, chuckling quietly from your infectious laughter. He rested his hand on a pile of binders as he craned his neck further to study you better, jumping backwards as he knocked them to the floor.
Your nearly jumped out of your skin, dropping the book you were reading and shooting up.
“Hello?” You called out, hoping there would be nobody there to answer you.
Harry was half-way down the hallway before you could take another step.

He was back again. Why? He had absolutely no idea, but the next night he found himself back in the library, hoping you would be there too. Harry wasn’t disappointed, as after filtering through the aisles of books he found you in your familiar corner, this time wrapped under a blanket, a small lamp beside you. Making sure he was hidden from view, he watched you again, trying to stop himself from chuckling.
You were reading a horror book and it was fair to say you weren’t enjoying it, but you had vowed to read every book in the library in alphabetical order and you could hardly back out half way through the the ‘A’s. You read a particularly frightening sentence and slammed the book shut, holding it at arms length away from you, before painfully slowly re-opening it. You read another word and shut it again, this time staring at the novel as if it was the devil incarnate itself.
That was the point when Harry lost it, having to bit down on his own hand to stop himself from bursting out laughing.

It had been over a week since Harry saw you the first time, and he had returned to the library everyday to find you. Every time he would find you in the arm chair beside the open fire, the little crevice of the castle you had claimed as your own. It had been over a week since you had felt like you were being watched, and you were starting to feel slightly unnerved. Every time you would convince yourself you were just feeling paranoid but something was telling you to trust your instincts.

When Harry entered the library one evening he was confused. As he walked towards your usual spot,  but he couldn’t hear a thing, no snorts of laughter, no gasps, no occasional tutting. Silence. He frowned a little before it clicked. You weren’t there. The armchair was complete empty, the fire hadn’t been started, there was no pile of books on the floor.
“Where are ye then?” He asked himself, puzzled.
“Who? Me?” You replied triumphantly from behind him, arms crossed and tapping your foot as you gave the pirate boy a knowing look. He shot around, unable to figure out a response, so instead choosing to stand with his mouth open. So you weren’t going crazy
“Oh come on,” you laughed, no longer intimidated by the boy “Don’t tell me the infamous Harry Hook is at a loss for words”
Harry relaxed, slightly shocked that you weren’t weirded out by him, and flashed you one of his signature smirks laced with a little insanity. He was curious as to how you knew what he was.
You grinned back at him, as if reading his mind.
“I mean, this kind of gives it away doesn’t it,” you motioned towards the sliver metal of his hook, glinting in to the dim light.
He smiled again, licking his bottom lip slightly.
“Ye know for someone who spends all there time in a library ye don’t half talk a lot” Harry teased, regaining his smug demeanour and taking a step towards you.
He tried to reach his hook to meet your face but you turned on your heels before he could.
“And for someone who spends all there time stalking people you are oddly confident”
“Touché” Harry laughed, following you as you collapsed into your armchair.
“What do you want Harry” you grumbled, unimpressed that the boy was invading your reading time.
He leaned back on the arm rest and grinned at you, deciding that he wanted to know more about the mysterious library girl.
“Nothing,” he said innocently enough but still with a devilish gleam in his eyes “I came here to read”
You rolled your eyes.
“We’ll go do it somewhere else, this seat is occupied” you replied, retrieving a book from your bag and opening it to the first page.
“Well if ye insist,” whispered the pirate, walking away from you.
You tilted your head, that was far too easy. You were kind of disappointed that Harry had left so soon but you dismissed the thought and started to read, happy to be left in the quiet. That was until, you hear the screech of wood against the library floor.

“Harry! I told you to leave!”
“Nu-uh, ye told me to get my own chair,” he said smugly, dragging one of the libraries benches from the other side of the room to the fireplace “So I did”.
He winked at you
“You are ridiculous”
“I think ye mean endearing”.
The bench was now directly next to your chair, Harry sprawled out on it, his hands behind his head in a mock super model pose. You giggled.
“You’re not seriously, going to stay here are you?”
“Ye already know the answer to that question sweetheart” Harry whispered.
“I can’t believe you” you said under your breath but seeing Harry’s two piercing blue eyes stare back at you charmingly, you relented.
“Fine, read this” you thrusted a book into his arms, “But I have rules. You don’t talk to me and I don’t talk to you”
Harry smirked.
“You won’t even know I’m here”

You knew he was there alright. Every five second the boy tried to talk to you and in the hour you had been sat there you hadn’t even finished the first page of your book.
“Just put me out of my misery sweetheart and tell me ye name” he pined, creeping closer to the end of his bench and you.
“Shut up and read your book Hook”
“I am reading,” he protested “Ye know I can be very persuasive when I want to be”
Harry was whispering to you, his lips brushing against your ear. You shuddered a little, not used to being this close to somebody. Annoyed, you pushed Harry playfully by the shoulder away from you.
“If I tell you will you leave me alone”
“I’m not making any promises” You jabbed him in the ribs “Okay! I’ll leave you alone”
Harry wiggled away from you and picked up the book, pretending to read it. You did the same, returning to your novel. Neither of you could concentrate on any kind of story, taking it in turns to steal glances at one and other when you thought they weren’t looking. It was Harry who caught you first.
“I can see ye looking at me ye know” he said raising an eyebrow.
“L-looking at you? Pffft I’m not….. looking at you” you stuttered embarrassed at being caught. You were a terrible liar.
“You’re sitting right next me. I can see ye”
“W-well then you need to get….. some glasses”.
After realising how terrible your excuses were you made eye contact with Harry again. The two of you tried to keep straight faces but faltered, laughing until you cried and your sides actually beginning to ache. When the sniggers finally subsided you turned to the pirate.
“My names Y/N Yu,” you said at last causing Harry to sit up.
“I thought I recognised you from the Isle” he replied, looking at you slightly differently.
“I doubt it. I have never really been a people person. Nobody really remembers me”, your voice sounded slightly sadder than you had intended it to, so you shut your mouth abruptly.
“I remembered you” Harry stated quietly, before, for the first time that night, picking up his book and  starting to read it.

It had been months since your first encounter but you and Harry had grown in-separable. It baffled everybody, the quiet shy bookworm and the obnoxiously flirtatious pirate, it wasn’t a mix that most expected to work. But it did. Soon friendship progressed to something much more. You understood Harry unlike anybody else, your relentless kindness something he had been missing but craved. Harry was fiercely protective of you, threatening to hook anybody who gave you any trouble. Yes, you knew it was a little much, but he was trying. Neither of you had any trouble admitting you were madly in love with the other. You and Harry still had your nightly reading sessions, only now you shared the armchair, you curled up on his lap, your head against chest. Harry would rest his chin on the top of your head, reading over shoulder and kissing your forehead occasionally, your bodies engulfed by a thick tartan blanket. Often, you would fall asleep like that and Harry would carry you back to your dorm, careful not to wake you. It was perfect.
For a while.

*teeny tiny time skip*

“It’s the end of the world as we know it!” You exclaimed, you pouted at Harry who just laughed at you and ruffled your hair.
“Has anybody ever told ye you’re over dramatic?”
“I’m being serious Har! The library is shut! All day!”
He chuckled at you again.
“I guess ye’ll have to sit at an actual table at lunch and actually talk to people”
You sighed melodramatically and Harry copied you, mocking your movement.
“I’d watch it Harry, you’re forgetting who my father is. I could have you flattened on this floor in a second”
“Y/N, ye may indeed be the daughter of Shan Yu, but ye haven’t flattened anything in your life”
You swatted the back of his head.
“I’m in a bad mood” you grumbled quietly.
“Come on Little Miss Yu, we’re going to sit with Uma”

You and Uma had a mutual dislike for each other. The kind of mutual dislike for each other that often caused countries to go to war. Which was a shame, her being your boyfriends best friend and all, but you tried to not let it bother you. Uma had begun to hate you since Harry started spending more time with you, annoyed that he no longer wanted to try and destroy Auradon. She lost her shit when she caught him reading a book in his room instead of training one time.
“I thought you hated Y/N” Gil said goofily as you and Harry sat down at Uma’s picnic table.
“I do” Uma said bluntly, giving you a death stare. You pretended to ignore it, instead pulling out a piece of chocolate cake from your bag. Harry sent a warning glare back to Uma.
“Well I think Y/N’s very nice,” Gil added, giving you a genuine smile and nodding his head.
You smiled back. Gil might not have been the sharpest knife in the draw but he was pretty harmless.
“She always was, wasn’t she. So nice”. Uma spat, sneering at the word nice as I it was an insult.
“If you’ve got a problem with me, I can go you know” You stood up for yourself, imitating Uma’s tone.
“Fine by me”
“Uma,” Harry growled, an fierce edge in is voice
“Oh, I’m sorry I forgot you developed feeling for the girl. Did you forget she was just part of the plan”
“Uma, shut it!” Harry banged his fists on the table.
“The plan?” You nearly choked on your cake.
“Oh honey didn’t you know” Uma said with fake concern “He only dated you because I told him to”
You spat the remaking chocolate cake out.
“What” you whispered venomously, staring at Harry who was sat with his mouth wide open.
“I thought we needed to expand our crew a bit so I told him to go out and find some vulnerable girl who would follow him blindly. Don’t know why he chose you though, you’ve always been weird haven’t you. Always been a loner. Always been a fr-”
“UMA ENOUGH!” Harry screamed.
You felt suddenly dizzy, black hazing your vision. Harry tried to grab your hand but you snatched it away. You were crying now, your heart slowly shattering. Turning around you stumbled away as quickly you could, as far as your eyes could see.

You ran into the woods, needing to be as far away from the school ,and the people in it, as possible. You were sobbing now, heaving and wailing like a child, as you sprinted. Refusing to stop, you ran deeper and deeper into the forest, your legs snatching on brambles and the wind biting at your cheeks. You never wanted to go back. How could you? The only person that had made Auradon bearable was Harry but it seemed even that was just some cruel joke. You stopped only when you thought your lungs would collapse, throwing yourself down beside a tree trunk.
“She’s right,” you blubbered to yourself “I don’t belong here. I don’t belong on the Isle. I don’t belong anywhere!”.
Your thoughts where interrupted by the snapping of a tree branch. You peered behind a tree defensively, to see a familiar pirate stood behind you.
“Y/N darling, Ye know that’s the biggest pile of bullshit I’ve ever heard”

He attempted to pull you into a hug but you refused.
“Harry,” you started.
“Uma’s a liar. Ye knew that already, she’s temperamental that’s all, she doesn’t mean anything she says-”
“Harry, don’t bother” You pulled away from your embrace, slumping back down to the ground.
Harry sat beside you.
“Don’t bother with what?” He asked softly, sweeping the hair away from your face with his hook so he could look into your eyes.
Before you could get lost in them, your tore your eyes away from him his.
“Stop pretending that you love me, or that you care, or that I mean something to you. It’s only hurting me more.”
Harry grabbed hold of your jaw, and twisted it towards you so you would look at him.
“You’re seriously not saying all of this because Uma threw a hissy fit are ye?”
“No actually. That’s the sad bit, I’ve been thinking about it or quite some time”
“What the hell are ye on about now!” Yelled Harry suddenly exploding, taking you slightly be surprise “Ye know I’d do anything bloody for ye!”
You ignored him, continuing your little speech.
“Do you know what people say when they see us together. They think how the hell did he end up with that, they think that-”
“When did I ever care what people think? When did ye ever care what people think?” He was still shouting, his yells echoing around the forest trees.
“I’ve always cared,” you whispered so quietly it could have gone undetected.
Harry heard though and got to his feet
“Then why don’t you care what I think then, eh? Because you know full well I love you!”
You stood up beside him, tears still streaming down your face.
“It’s just…. It’s just that people like you shouldn’t fall in love with people like me”
“Are you fucking serious” Harry whispered, cooling down again and turning towards you.
“What?”
He wrapped his arms around you, refusing to let you go no matter how hard you squirmed until you eventually melted into his touch.
“ I get to decide who I do and don’t fall in love with. That’s mine okay?. No one else’s choice, not even yours. It belongs to me. I. Love. You”
“Harry,”
“I love you,” he repeated.
“I love you too”
You nuzzled your face into his neck, breathing in the unmistakable scent of the ocean that never seemed to leave the pirate. Standing on your tiptoes you reached up and planted a short kiss on Harry’s lips, before lowering down and simply staring at him.
“I was going to wait till ye birthday but-”
Harry pulled away from you, untucking a small pendant necklace from his shirt and took it off. He placed it carefully in your hand, folding over your palm and pushing it gently to your chest.
“It was my mothers. I want you to have it.”
“Harry, it’s beautiful but… But I can’t take this from you,” The necklace was small and ornate, a silver crescent moon charm adorning the chain. You rubbed the cool metal between your thumb and forefinger.
“I told ye,” Harry whispered with a smile “It’s yers”
You flung your arms around his neck and he picked you up, spinning you around and round in circles until you begged him to put you down.
“We should probably get back Har” your said, still feeling a touch dizzy.
“Yer right Y/N. I’ll race ye back to the library,” Harry winked, twirling you around a final time.
“You know full well it’s closed, why torture me like that? You know we can’t go”
“Yeah well yer forgetting I’m a villain Y/N, breaking the rules is what I do”
You stared up at the boy you loved one more time, gazing at the way his eyes shone in the dappled sunlight.
“Harry Hook,” you stated “I’ve never met a more lovely villain”

Request: Jealous Harry.

Authors Note: To the Anon that requested it end in fluff, I hope you’re okay with the ending! It’s not all that fluffy, but it’s all I could come up with, especially with putting two similar requests together! But I still hope you enjoy! Also, I’m very aware that the ending of this is kind of rushed and I apologize!

“Thank you SO much Gil! I really appreciate you taking over my shift!” You exclaimed, your hand reaching out and taking your friends hand as you made your way off the lower part of the dock.

“No problem, Y/N!” He smiled, his voice so full of enthusiasm that it sounded as though he was going to burst. “You’ve been put on watch every night this past week. I think you could use a break.”

You laughed, your shoulders bouncing in a ‘what can you do’ type shrug before slouching in acknowledgement. “Well, I guess that’s what happens when you start a fight with Uma.”

Gil let out a giant laugh, his eyes lighting up in childlike innocence before nudging you in the side.

“Yeah, I guess.” He agreed, quickly taking his sword out of his belt and laying it on his chair. “But you better be careful. She might try to throw you overboard next time, and I don’t think Harry would be able to stop her.”

You rolled your eyes playfully, the image of Harry even trying to stand up to Uma roaming your mind and making you laugh.

“Harry would let Uma throw me overboard without a second thought.” You joked, not once meaning your words, but knowing that Gil would find them hilarious.

Gil let out a small giggle, his shoulder nudging yours once again as he led you back into Ursulas Fish and Chips and toward your dorm.

“Anyway, thanks again, Gil! I really do appreciate this!” You proclaimed, your arms wrapping around Gils’ waist in a friendly hug. “I promise I’ll pay you back somehow.” You playfully winked, the joking nature of your friendship with Gil as innocent as it was flirty.

“With what? Candy? Popcorn? Candy AND popcorn?”

“All of it you can eat.” You replied, a small laugh escaping your lips before gently pulling away from him and making your way into your room.

You let out an exhausted sigh, the air heavy against your skin as it warmed you from the cold wetness of the dock. Breathing in deeply, you removed your belt and walked towards your drawer, your hands reaching down and removing you shirt as you prepared to change out of your ‘watch’ clothes.

Then, suddenly and without any type of warning, a loud bang rang through your room, the sound catching you off guard and making you stop in your tracks. Lifting your shirt so that it covered your barley covered chest, you reached down and grabbed your sword, immedietly pointing towards the entrance and at whoever dared to barge into your room without a reason. That’s when you saw your best friend Harry standing at your door, his eyes staring straight into yours as he completely disregarded the fact that he had walked in on you in a personal state.

“What the hell, Harry!? I could have killed you!” You shreiked, immedietly throwing down your sword and putting on your shirt.

“C’mon, love. You and I both know that that would never happen.” He slurred, his accent thick and rich in your ears as he made his way inside and shut the door behind him.

You rolled your eyes, quickly making your way over to your bed in order to take off your shoes.

“Yeah, whatever. What are you doing here?”

Harry breathed in deeply before making his way closer to you, his eyes showing an intense amount of anger that you weren’t used to seeing from him.

“What’s your problem?” You questioned, a light giggle leaving your lips as you assumed he came to rant about something Uma made him do.

Harry cocked his head to the side, his lips curling into a playful smile as he stood mere inches from you.

“Are you and Gil dating now?” He questioned, anger and sarcasm heavy on his voice as his darlky outlined eyes bored straight into yours.

“No.” You laughed, immedietly pushing him out of your way and heading to your closet to put away your shoes.

You had never even considered the idea of you and Gil dating, and you didn’t understand why anyone else would either. Gil was one of your best friends, and you did seem to playfully flirt with him a lot, but still. Everyone on the Isle knew that you’ve had a thing for Harry for years now. You were in love with him and it was completely obvious.

To everyone but Harry, that is.

“Really?” Harry suddenly continued to question, the glare from his hook bouncing off the wall and shining into your eyes as he made his way over to you. “Then what’s with all the hugging, huh? And the flirty comments?” He asked, leaning against the wall beside you. “I saw you just now, and people don’t talk like that with people that are just friends.”

“Then you obviously don’t have very many friends, do ya stud?” You joked, a small shrug leaving your shoulders as you heard him give you an angry sigh. “I don’t know what you want me to say, Harry. Gil and I aren’t dating.” You continued, not understanding why he would care so much about it in the first place. “Besides, why is it any of your business who I date?”

Harry looked at you in disbelief, his eyebrows furrowed in a strange mixture of shock and anger before he leaned away from the wall and hovered over you.

“Damn, Y/N. Are you really that blind?” He seethed, his voice so full of venom that you felt as though you’d been bitten.

“Hey, back off.” You demanded, completely confused as to what had made Harry so mad at you all of a sudden. You and Harry had had plenty of fights during your friendship, but he had never been angry at you. Not like this.

But the fact that he was angry at you wasn’t even the problem. It was what he was angry about. He had no reason to question you about your completely non-romantic relationship with Gil, and if anyone had a right to be mad, it was you for his complete inability to see that the only person you wanted to date was standing right in front of you.

“What the hell’s your problem, Harry? Why are you questioning me all of a sudden?” You asked, quickly walking over to him and poking him in the chest. “Besides, you may be my best friend, but you don’t have the right to get angry with me about something as personal as dating. That’s none of your business.”

“Best friend? Just…seriously, Y/N? Don’t you see that that’s the problem!” He scoffed, his eyes becoming glassy as his anger turned into disbelief.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” You asked, confusion filling your face as you questioned why your friendship was suddenly a problem for him.

“Because…” He started loudly, his voice fading to a whisper as he realized what he was about to say. “Because I just…” He continued, not being able to find the right words as his eyes traveled across your confused stricken face. “Oh, screw it.” He breathed, his hands suddenly reaching out and bringing his face towards yours.

Letting out a surprised squeal, you couldn’t help the shock that crossed your face as Harry’s lips connected with yours. You were frozen for a moment, your eyes wide open and looking into space before you finally gave in and kissed him back.

The kiss was slow at first, the deep flavor of sweat and saltwater heavy on your tongue as you pulled him closer to you. Harry pressed against you softly, his hands quickly leaving your face and wrapping around your waist as he lightly dug his hook into your lower back.

Giving you a relieved sigh, Harry removed his hook from behind your back and pressed you against the wall, his hot tongue immedietely making its way towards your lips as your nails ran diligently down his sides.

Letting out a gasp, you pulled away, the need for air becoming too strong as your mind tried to register what exactly was going on.

“I…I um…” You started, your speech completely gone as you tried to figure out what to say.  “I..I -”

“That,” Harry interrupted, his face mere inches from yours as he continued to press against you. “That’s why I wanted to know.”

Game | Harry Hook x Reader

Summary: It was a game between you and Harry. See who could make the other break first. And you were determined to win.

Warnings: Smutty goodness

Author’s Note: This is my first attempt at smut so let me know if you like it!

You pushed Harry up against the alley wall, nipping at his bottom lip as his hands trailed up and down your back. Just when he started to reach for the button on your pants, you pulled away from him, smirking when his hands tried to follow you.

“Sounds like Uma’s calling me. Better run.” You gave him a sarcastic pout and turned to walk away. He grabbed your hand, spinning you back around to face him. “Sweetheart, you can’t leave me like this again.” He gritted out. You looked him up and down, feeling a sense of pride when you saw the tent in his pants.

“Sweetheart, I can and I will.” You mocked, pulling your arm away from him and hurrying back to the Lost Revenge, laughing as you heard Harry swearing at you.

Uma had you and Harry together training some new recruits. The sun was blistering hot overhead and Harry was training some new girl who wasn’t even paying attention to what he was saying but to his abs instead. It pissed you off. Oh well, she’ll wish she had paid attention when she ‘accidentally’ gets stabbed.

Angrily, you turned your attention back to the guy you were training. “If your opponent strikes first, turn the sword to catch theirs and while they’re pulling their sword back, you can apply a swift kick to either their shin or groin.” You kicked out for emphasis. “But if you strike first, be sure to-”

“Hey!” You heard Harry bark, stomping his way over to you two. You took a step backwards when Harry grabbed your recruit’s collar, practically holding him in the air. “If you wanna be part of the crew, I would recommend actually listening instead of staring at my (Y/N)’s ass.” Harry growled.

“Got it?” Harry questioned. Once he deemed the guy was sorry enough, Harry promptly dropped him and grabbed your wrist. “Everybody pair up and duel it out. We’ll be back.” Harry announced, hurriedly pulling you below deck. You grinned victoriously. It wasn’t often you got Harry this riled up.

You nearly stumbled as Harry pushed you into the broom closet, slamming the door behind you. Immediately, he pushed you up against the wall, nipping at your neck, his hands on your shoulders. You grasped at his wrists, already panting.

“You remember earlier? When you just pranced away, laughing?” Harry sucked even harder on your neck. You tried to hold back your moans and whimpers. It would be bad if Uma found out her first mate and loyal crew member left in the middle of training to go fuck in a closet.

“Leaving me worked up in the alley way.” Harry continued, starting to make another hickey on the base of your neck. “You’re gonna regret it.” Harry growled. You screamed as Harry bit down on your neck. So much for being quiet.

“I’m gonna make you scream my name.” Harry grinned maniacally and used his hook, ripping your shirt from your frame. “Then what are you waiting for?” You murmured with a sly smile. His eyes darkened, his grin replaced by a look of pure determination. It excited you.

“If you like those clothes, I recommend you get them off. Now.” Harry growled, undoing his belt. You gulped slightly nervous at his rough voice. You quickly shimmied out of your jeans and tugged your panties down as well. You unclasped your bra and let it fall to the floor.

You looked up at Harry suddenly feeling like a mouse in a box with a cat. He stared at you hungrily. “Come and get it, big boy.” You taunted. Before you could close your mouth, Harry was on top of you, kissing you hard, sliding his hands down to your butt. You wrapped your arms around his neck.

Harry ran his tongue across your bottom lip, demanding entrance which you refused to give him. Suddenly, his hands dipped down low and grabbed your butt hard. You let out a small squeak and his tongue dived into your mouth, quickly finding yours. You rubbed your thighs together to get more friction, something that didn’t go unnoticed by Harry.

“Jump.” Harry mumbled against your lips. You lifted one leg and hooked it around Harry’s waist and jumped. You hooked your other leg around him as he gripped your thighs, holding you up.

You set to work on leaving a hickey on his neck while one of his hands made its way down to your slit. You let out a loud moan as he rubbed his thumb over your clit, simultaneously sticking two fingers inside of you.

“Goddammit, Harry! Pick up the pace!” You hissed, getting frustrated. “Trust me, darlin’. You’ll be begging me to slow down in a minute.” He promised, removing his fingers and replacing it with the head of his cock.

Your head fell limp against his shoulder as he pushed in. You let out a groan as Harry bottomed out, his pubes brushing against your clip. You gripped at his biceps. He was physically shaking as he waited for you to adjust.

Your gazes met, his eyes with love and lust. “Go.” You ordered. Harry smirked, pulling out and stopping, just his tip inside of you. “Harry, I swear to God-” You let out a small scream as Harry thrust inside of you again, your threat falling flat.

It had been way too long since you had gotten to do this. You let out a groan as Harry began kneading your left breast, attaching his mouth to your right. You tangled your hands in his hair, tugging lightly. The knot in your gut started tightening.

“Harry…“ You whimpered. “I’m-” “I know.” He nodded. His thrusts became less controlled. He stuck his hand in between your legs again, rubbing at your clit. You jerked and spasmed, getting so close… Harry stopped.

“Please!” You whined, trying to rub yourself against his fingers. “Who do you belong to?” Harry murmured in your ear. “You!” You screamed as Harry started moving his fingers even faster.

“Harry!” You yelled, the knot in your gut snapping. You threw your head back, panting as Harry pulled out. “Ah, (Y/N)!” Harry yelled. You flinched slightly as Harry released himself on your stomach. You put your hands on Harry’s shoulders, massaging them lightly as Harry loosened his grip on your thighs. Damn you were gonna be sore in the morning.

Harry carefully set you down and handed you a rag to clean yourself. You finished and tossed the rag on the ground. You stood on your tiptoes, pressing your lips to his. “Love you.” You mumbled against his lips. “I know.”

It was quiet as you both gathered your clothes. You held up your ripped shirt. “What am I supposed to do about this?” You questioned. “That sounds like a you problem.” Harry smirked.

“Ok then.” You shrugged. “I’ll just go back up in just my bra, so everybody can stare…” You trailed off, smirking as Harry’s jaw tightened. “Hold still.” Harry ordered, walking out of the closet.

After a minute or two, Harry popped his head in the door. “Here.” Harry tossed you his white tank top he as wearing before you started training. You quickly pulled it on over your head and met Harry out in the hallway.

“I think we can both agree. I made you break this time.” You grinned gleefully. Harry scoffed. “Please. I had you screaming for me. Please, Harry. Please.” Harry mocked. “Shut up!” You pushed him gently, laughing. “You didn’t win.” He declared, crossing his arms.

“You brought this upon yourself then.” You said with an innocent smile. “Wha-” You cut him off by pushing him up against the wall, lips brushing up against his. “Don’t start anything you can’t finish.” You pulled away, making Harry growl in frustration.

“Don’t hate the player, hate the game!” You called over your shoulder with a smug smirk. “Fuck you!” Harry groaned. “That’s your job!”

@gameofthronesimagine: Could you do something with Harry Hook and the reader is from Auradon and is lifelong friends with Ben and she’s Tinker Bell’s daughter??

Word Count: 5251

Also, warning. I started out thinking this would be cute and fluffy. It kind of turned a little angsty.

“…What? This is a joke, right?”

You stared at Ben, trying to mask your horror with denial.

Ben – for his part – looked sheepish. “We need to mend ties with the Isle, and compromise is the best way to do that.”

“So, if Uma asked you to release Chernabog from the Isle, you’d be totally for it?”

“No, of course not–”

You rolled your eyes. “No, of course. Just the guy that tried. To. Kill. You.”

“Things are different. Uma and Harry don’t have any power in Auradon, and it’s not like I’m totally defenceless,” Ben pointed out, nodding to his two huge bodyguards stationed at the door to his office.

You briefly glanced at them, before looking back at Ben. “Anyone else. You could have released anyone else. What about that Gil guy? He sounded harmless. Or some of her pirate groupies.”

“She wanted Harry,” Ben said simply, taking a sip of his tea. “She wouldn’t budge on that.”

You raised an eyebrow. “Wow. Great compromising there.”

Requested: Yes!

I was wondering if you could do an imagine where the reader and Harry Hook somehow end up sharing a room and they don’t really like each other but he has a nightmare and the reader comforts him and realises he isn’t as bad/mean as he seems?

“I can’t continue like this anymore Mal, I’m going to lose my mind”
You were holed up in your best friends dorm room trying desperately to chug as much caffeine as you possibly could in the few minutes before you had to head to class.
“Surely it’s not that bad Y/N” She replied, handing you another mug of coffee.
You downed it in one.
“Mal! I’ve been running solely on energy drinks, espresso’s and power naps between tutor sessions for the last three weeks. I shouldn’t be alive at this point. I have not slept in almost a month. A MONTH!”
You slammed the mug on the table and scooped together a pile of notebooks and papers. When you looked at your watch you nearly had a mental break down.
“Oh great! I’m late for English Lit,” you mumbled under your breath before charging towards the door, an energy bar in your hand.
Mal stopped you before you could leave, pushing you back down in you chair.
“Y/N, you need to sleep”
“I’ll be fine,” You weren’t really in the mood to listen to her, you had a English exam to sit and you were already running behind.
“I just don’t understand how he’s managed to keep you awake for this long”
She was talking about your new room-mate, the infamous, hook wielding pirate who invaded your living space when he arrived from the isle a few weeks ago. Some how you drew the short straw and were forced to have the unwanted VK as a room-mate; life becoming increasingly more difficult from that moment onwards.Since Harry had arrived he had done nothing but infuriate you, using whatever methods necessary to irritate you. So far the most effective of which had been the sleep deprivation. The pirate would purposely turn all of the lights on whenever you tried to sleep and insisted on playing the sound of crashing waves at all hours during the night. You were one audio file of a seagull away from killing a man.
“I just don’t understand how I’ve not strangled him yet” You replied, rolling your eyes to show you were unamused “Now will you let me go Mal?”
Your purple haired best friend pulled you into a hug.
“Fine. Go ace that stupid exam of yours. Then you sleep” Mal said pointedly, a stern tone in her voice that was almost motherly. “And I’m going to talk to Ben. See if we can get you another roommate”
You squeezed her harder before pulling out of the embrace.
“Thanks M! I really appreciate it. Now if you excuse me I’m about to go get an A”
You saluted her as you headed out of the dorm room and into the English Hall, feeling oddly confident despite the lack of proper rest. Mal burst into a rare hysteric fit of giggles as soon as you were out of ear shot. She knew you’d be asleep within the first twenty minutes of the lesson.

Three words. You had written three words and your eyes were already starting to droop. Three fucking words. Maybe it was the fact that the exam hall was deadly silent or the fact that the lights had been dimmed ever so slightly but you felt the strongest urge to lay your head down on the desk and drift away into a blissful in-interrupted sleep. This was bad., really bad. The English exam was worth a stupidly large percentage of your overall grade and you refused to let some selfish pirate and his odd sleeping habits rob you of your success.
“Cowgirl the fuck up Y/N” you whispered under your breath as you forced yourself to prise your eyes open. You were met by death glares from those around you.
“Sorry” you mouthed before getting back to scribbling down your answers. No longer caring what the students around you thought, you continued to talk to yourself for motivation.
“You’ve got everything under control Y/N, you can stay awake”
Everything was not under control, there was no way you were staying awake.
To be fair to you, you lasted longer than you thought you would but ten minutes into the exam you were fast asleep.

Tap Tap Tap
You felt your whole body groan as you were awoken to the steady sound of metal hitting oak. You were still wrapped a foggy daze after emerging from your nap and you were still unable to comprehend where your were or what time it was.
Tap Tap Tap.
The noise continued, so you forced yourself to open your eyes and gently scan the room you were in. You saw the desks first, then the chalkboard, then the clock. Then it suddenly clicked. Shit.
Tap Tap Tap.
The exam was over, all of the other students had left the hall, and you were sat alone at the back of the room, still flat against your desk. You glanced at the paper in front of you, you had’t even finished a paragraph.
Tap Tap Tap.
It was in that exact moment you realised that you weren’t in fact alone.
“Ye look so peaceful when you’re dreaming sweetheart”
You felt your blood slowly start to boil as your eyes landed on a particular pirate, sat with his feet up at a desk directly in front of you, taping his hook against the chair leg.  Still, the familiar accent sent shivers down your spine. Crooked smile, dark brooding eyes and one dangerous voice, Harry Hook was unbearable.
“Don’t you sweetheart me” You hissed glaring at the grinning boy “You’re always so fucking smug aren’t you”
“I have no idea what yer talking about” he continued, grinning even wider as he began to stalk towards you. “That was quite a nap ye took there Y/N”
You scoffed before shuffling in your seat slightly to wriggle away from Harry’s looming presence, uncomfortable with the lack of space between the two you.
“I wonder why,” You whispered under your breath, avoiding eye contact with him.
Harry was now stood directly over you, his hand leaning on your desk, one of his boots resting on the edge of your chair.
“Ye wouldn’t be blaming me now would ye?” The pirate began, before picking up your test paper and tutting at the lack of content. “ Oh Y/N, it seems as though you’ve lost your touch”
He pouted.
“Oh Harry,” you said mocking his tone, “It seems as though you’ve forgotten that the only reason I’m going to fail this test is because you won’t let me fucking go to sleep on a night!”
You were becoming more and more agitated with the pirate who was pressing his face closer and closer to yours.
You gulped, your confidence wavering, when the tip of his nose brushed the skin by your ear.
“Ye know yer starting to blush sweetheart” Harry whispered, a cocky edge to his voice.
It was true, your cheeks were starting to prickle with heat as Harry moved closer to you still. Something about him just made you uncomfortable, something unhinging yet somehow alluring. He was good looking, there was no doubt about it, and all it took was a flicker of a smile across his lips and you were practically melting.
Snap out of it! You yelled to yourself internally. He was an asshole, a sly, impulsive little flirt who made you fail your English final. Yet somehow, you couldn’t stop staring at the blue in his eyes.
Harry was smirking again, clearly aware that you had been daydreaming, so you quickly turned the tables in an attempt to salvage your pride.
“I’m done here Hook,” You said bluntly, standing up abruptly and slamming your hands on the desk.
The sudden movement clearly took Harry by surprise as his smug demeanour dropped for a second, his usual grin drooping a little. He quickly composed himself again though, the facade re-appearing as he grabbed your hand and pulled you towards him.
“Leaving so soon sweetheart? I feel slightly offended”
You were so close together now, Harry hands snaking towards your waist, his chest pressed against yours.
“Let me go Harry,” you growled, trying your best not to make eye-contact with the pirate.
You couldn’t trust yourself not to crumble if you looked directly at him.
“Why would I do that Y/N?” Harry whispered, as you felt the cool metal of his hook rest against the small of your back.
You shuddered.
“Get. Your. Filthy. Hands. Off. Me”
You pushed him away for good and grabbed your bag, scowling at Harry as you reached down to get it from the floor. You where starting to storm away when Harry called out to you again.
“We can finish this tonight sweetheart” Harry called out, his usual Cheshire-cat smirk still plastered across his face.
“I wouldn’t count on it” you began, hesitating as you got to the door frame “I’m changing room-mates. Ben’s going to sort it”

It turned out Ben couldn’t sort it, so no more than an hour later you were back at your dorm-room, greeted by the triumphant sniggers of the highly amused pirate.
“Back already are ye darling?” Harry teased “Couldn’t get enough of me hey?”
You purposely ignored him, charging over to your bed and dumping your binders and notebooks on the quilt cover.
Harry followed you, sitting at the foot of the bed and picking up one of your books. You snatched it immediately from him.
“What’s wrong with ye sweetheart,” he said patronisingly, “Anybody would think ye didn’t like me”
“I don’t” you said pointedly.
“Come on, work with me here Y/N,” He was still smirking like a dickhead “Do ye ever stop being uptight”
You stopped what you were doing to glare at the boy and throw a pencil at him.
“Do you ever stop being a psychotic man whore?” You fired back, really not in the mood for his ridiculous antics.
He put his hands to his face, resting his cheeks in his palms and pouted; whimpering as if he was offended by what you had said. You sucked your teeth.
“Ye really don’t like me do ye?” Harry laughed
“No” You replied bluntly, your mind drifting to the amount of grovelling you were going to have to do the following day to get your English teacher to let you redo the exam.
“Ye really should ye know - start liking me - we could have really hit it off” The pirate teased as he inched slightly closer to you again.
You huffed, you’d had enough.
“Any chance of ditching the industrial lights and sound effects tonight or what?” You asked brightly, shifting your voice to make it sound more optimistic.
“Nah”
“Then this conversation is over”

The two of you barely spoke for the rest of the night.
Well.
Harry had tried to his best to flirt his way out of your bad books but quickly relented once a hardback novel went flying across the room and hit him in the head. It was safe to say he didn’t bother you for the rest of the night.
Once it had started to get dark outside you changed into your pyjama’s, ditching the floral skater dress in favour of a soft oversized shirt.
“Harry! Hurry up in the bathroom I need to get changed!” You yelled at him through the crack in the bathroom door.
You didn’t trust the pirate enough for you to get changed out in the open of the dorm room - in fear that he may come charging through whilst you were mid-way through taking off your dress.
“Ye know sweetheart it would be a lot easier for ye to just get changed in ye bloody bedroom”
The bathroom door swung open and you were face to face with the pirate who was leaning against the door frame.
“I don’t want to be exposed,” you huffed defensively, putting an emphasis on the last word which made Harry chuckle.
“Ye strange Y/N Ye know” Harry laughed genuinely, his blue eyes lighting up at the way you wrinkled your nose.
There were times, although they were rare, when Harry did this, little pockets of random happiness where the pirate simply spoke his mind. It intrigued you. But then again there were far more frequent times when Harry would deprive you of sleep and embarrass you in front of your friends just to spite you. It was unsurprisingly hard to overlook.
“Just let me get changed you scoundrel” you said lightly, pushing him out of the bathroom and locking the door behind you.

When you walked out of the bathroom Harry was laid on the sofa, his arms and legs stretched out along the arm-rests as you walked past him.
He smirked.
“Oh Y/N!” He called softly in a sing-song voice, the teasing obvious in his tone.
You ignored him as you made your way over over to your bed, unfolding the covers and clambering inside.
“Y/N sweetheart, are ye ignoring me?” The pirate continued, not even turning his head to look at you.
“I’m trying to sleep,’ You snapped at him, irritation making you hostile “Although, I’m sure it’s a pointless exercise, you never turn that bloody sound system off”
Harry made a mock whimpering noise, before spinning around to face you, a condescending smirk plastered all over his face. He cocked his head at you.
“No eye mask?” The pirate asked you with a wicked gleam in his eye.
He huffed loudly. You had bought an eye mask, along with some ear buds, in the hope that you’d be able to ignore Harry at night, but you had come back to find they had all gone confidently missing. Asshole.
“Do you ever give it a rest Harry?” You asked. You sound more desperate than you had originally planned.
Harry only smirked wider.
Then he stood up.
Walked towards the TV.
And turned on the stereo system.

There wasn’t much surprise that you were still awake at two am, even if your patience was wearing thin. Your whole body ached with tiredness, your eyes hollowed, your head pounding, yet there was no way you could sleep. Everything was too bright, everything was too loud. Every limb groaned. You had no idea how Harry could sleep like this, hell you didn’t even know if the pirate slept at all! You grabbed another pillow and pressed it over your head, trying to drowned out the incessant sound of crashing waves in vain, you knew it wouldn’t work, it never did.
You sat bolt upright in your bed, scowling deeper than you ever had before. Enough was enough. You were stood up one, fists clenched ready to confront Harry when…

Darkness.
You were plunged into complete darkness. Every light in the whole dorm room went out in one quick burst, every lamp, every night light gone, as if someone had blown out a cake-ful of birthday candles. Even the blinking numbers on the microwave had disappeared, anything remotely electrical turned off, sent to slumber But that wasn’t all.
Silence.
A long awaited, precious quietness fell upon the dorm room,  no more waves, no more seagulls, no more sounds of the sea. Just quiet.  You smirked to yourself.
Saved by the power cut.
“The fuck Y/N?” Yelled the pirate, leaping up from his bed and clicking the switches on the lamps beside him frantically.
It was your turn to smirk, giggling to yourself as Harry tried to turn the lights back on, clearly thinking this was your doing. Didn’t they have power outages on the Isle?
“Relax Harry,” you said plainly “It’s a power cut, nothing to do with me. I doubt they’ll sort the electrics out until the morning though so just go to sleep for god sake”
“Ye sounding way too happy about this ye know. Just ye wait until I-”
“Good night Harry” You said climbing back into bed. You couldn’t see him in the darkness but you could hear that he had stopped moving. Maybe you were actually going to sleep for once.
“Ye wouldn’t get it Y/N!” He started to shout “I can’t bloody-”
“Good night Harry” you repeated, cutting him off.
You were smiling to yourself as your head hit the pillow, the muffled babbling of Harry mumbling profanities making you grin.
It was going to be a good night.

Or so you thought. You had slept blissfully for a few hours but soon you were wriggling and writhing in your bed sheets uncomfortably. You were freezing. The dorm room was no warmer than outside, the beginning of a gale billowing, ice creeping along the window panes.
“Of course” You sighed to yourself, “The power cut’s knocked off the boiler”
You curled up further into a ball, the only warmth from your own body, the ice blocks that had replaced your hands buried deep within your thighs. So much for a good nights sleep.
You knew then that you wouldn’t be drifting off and time soon and huffed to yourself, Harry for once could not be blamed. Wind rattled at the guttering and rain beat down against the glass window as you propped yourself upright, starting to shiver properly for the first time. You pulled the threadbare shirt over your knees as you tried to salvage any warmth you could but it was know use, you would just have to deal with being cold. You were considering going to find Mal in her room when your thoughts were interrupted by the sound of somebody unmistakeable afraid.

Your eyes had pretty much adjusted to the dark, the silhouette of Harry shooting up from his mattress unmissable. He was gasping for air, panting and holding his head in his hands as he tried to return his breathing to normal. You were stunned, even through the darkness you could see all of his muscles were tense, the moonlight leaking through the curtains illuminating beads of sweat on his forehead. Harry was a lot of things, scared wasn’t one of them.
“Harry,” you called lightly, hardly daring to raise your voice above a whisper “You okay?”
The pirate shot his head around so he was facing you, his eyes wide for a second with alarm before his face settled into a blank unrevealing expression, no familiar smirk in sight. Now you were concerned. He grumbled something unintelligible and the paused, as if considering whether to speak or not, before taking a deep breath and offloading whatever was on his mind to you.
“I have constant nightmares okay!” He practically shouted as if he was admitting it to himself for the first time “I wasn’t being an asshole to ye, with the music and the lights, I just needed to hear the sea, it helps ye know. Ye probably think it’s pathetic but I can’t sleep without the fucking light on” He paused before continuing” Don’t ye dare laugh at me Y/N, I’ll gut ye with me hook if ye even think about telling anyone"
You didn’t have the slightest idea what to do with all this new information. It stunned you, not adding up to the twisted image of the flirty pirate you had in your mind. You were baffled.
“Harry you know full well I wouldn’t” You whispered earnestly.
You cocked your head at the pirate at the other end of the room. Harry Hook had nightmares. Harry Hook who tried to set the King on fire when he first came to Auradon, Harry Hook who scared little kids for fun, Harry Hook who flirted with you just to make you embarrassed, had nightmares. Nightmares so bad that he had to turn all of the lights on and and play the sound of the ocean to himself.
He wasn’t finished yet.
“I’ve always had someone to cuddle with, usually CJ” Harry continued, as you tried to picture the pirate cuddled up to his sister. Piece by piece the arrogant intimidating persona you had come to associate with Harry was coming undone “Now, I realise we are not exactly on that level but yer the only one here and I’m really scared to go to sleep”
It took a while for you to register what he was saying.
He wanted to cuddle with you. Not in a flirtatious seductive attempt but in fearful, vulnerable kind of way.
You both needed to sleep you guessed.
“Y/N?” He called through the darkness, almost desperately.
A knot was starting to grow in your stomach and before you knew it your were stood up, ambling towards the boy.
“I’m warning you Hook” you said gently as you reached his mattress “I’m absolutely freezing”

He untucked the bed covers so you could climb in the bed beside him, wiggling as far as he could to the right side of the bed so you could lay on the left. You didn’t touch, you didn’t speak, you just laid there, you still shivering, him still slightly traumatised from whatever was haunting his dreams. All together, it was unbearabley awkward.
“What was it?” You said eventually, you words slicing through the uneasy silence.
You felt Harry turn around to face you, his blue eyes blinking at you in confusion. The bed covers wrinkled as he shifted, the crumpling sound the only thing that you could hear. He was bare chested you realised, and forced yourself to draw your eyes away from his exposed torso before he noticed you staring and focus back on his face.
“What?” He asked plainly, his eyes looking tired for the first time, remnants of black eyeliner smudged across his cheeks.
“The nightmare” you prompted, keeping your voice as soft as possible.
Harry inhaled sharply and let out a large breath, the warmth hitting your skin.
“It’s the same fucking one every time” The pirate spat, his eyes looking upwards as his jaw clenched, as if he was angry at something you couldn’t see. “I’m back on the Isle. I can’t be older than about  seven and its him, it’s always him”
“Who Harry?”
You reached for Harry’s hand, or maybe he reached or yours, it was hard to tell. You intertwined your fingers instinctively, a jolt of electricity sparking between the two of you. You were certain Harry felt it too as he looked at you strangely an unreadable expression settling across his face. Neither of you moved your palms.
Harry’s jaw was set in place now, his eyes narrowing with a kind of anger that you knew wasn’t directed at you.
“My Father. He used to…he used to -” He never finished his sentence. He didn’t need to.
And of course there was nothing that you could have said after that. Sometimes all the words in  the whole English language won’t be enough, they won’t help. But he kept looking at you, the bluish-steel of his eyes glassed over and you knew. You knew you couldn’t just lay there any longer.

Just as another bite of cold wind swept under your nightshirt, your hands moved around Harry’s middle, his skin warm and soft. In seconds his body moulded to your own, sharing his body heat as easily as you shared your heart.
“Hey,” you whispered to him, tucking your head in the crook of his neck “If it’s any compensation, you’re not half as bad as I thought”
Harry chuckled lightly, but only squeezed you tighter. He had never let another close to him like this, close enough to share breaths, close enough to share secrets.
“Yer quite something Y/N,” He whispered, slowly returning back to his self again.
You snuggled further into him, grateful for the warmth and the unlikely comfort you found in the pirate’s arms. You wrapped yourself around his shoulders, pulling him close and gently rubbing his arm. Despite the heaviness in your stomach, it fluttered at the feeling of your body pressed against his. You sunk into the warmth of his side and Harry reciprocated, the two of you giggling at things that simply weren’t funny, both appreciative of the friendly gesture.
But it was more than that. Way more than just friendly. There was something else there, a spark of something more than platonic. You had hugged plenty of friends  before and it had never been like this. Not ever
You hadn’t run your hands through their dishevelled hair and nearly stopped breathing when they stroked yours. You hadn’t traced the contours of the chest or stared when they bit their lips. They hadn’t nipped at your skin playfully with their teeth when you joked about thinking they were a psycopath. They hadn’t cupped your face with their rough palms and told you you were different, different and yet so beautiful. You hadn’t blushed. They hadn’t noticed and said it cute. You hadn’t wanted to kiss them so badly it almost ached.
But you did with Harry.
And it scared you a little.
“You smell like sea salt,” you whispered, the tiredness making you act completely delirious “And metal”
“Metal?” Harry asked with a raised eyerbrow, stifling a laugh.
“Metal” You confirmed adamantly, before breaking out in a yawn. Harry looked at you questioningly.
“What?” You defended “You do. It’s not a bad thing”
Harry chuckled at you and you untangled yourself from him, twisting to face away from the pirate.

You started to snuggle down into you pillow when you stopped abruptly. Your eyes shot open. He kissed your shoulder.
He kissed your shoulder.
Harry freaking Hook just kissed your shoulder. And then he did it again.
Before your better judgement could take over you turned around, grabbed the bottom of his jaw and pushed his face towards yours. You were staring at his lips now, doing whatever you could to resist them.
Don’t do it Y/N, don’t do it. Come on. Will power, self-control, self-restraint. Stop staring at him, you don’t want to kiss him, you don’t. Resist the sexy pirate, resist the pirate RESIST!
You did not resist
“Just so you know Harry, I am about to punch you on the mouth with my own mouth, softly, because I think I like y-”
You didn’t get to finish your sentence.
He kissed you. Without warning, without permission. Without even consciously deciding to do it, but simply because he couldn’t have done anything else. You lips crashed together, quickly falling into rhythm as you tilted your head backwards.  You felt Harry’s lips curl up into a smile under your own. You pulled away from him, playfully swatting him on the arm.
“You could have given me a heads up Hook?” You giggled, running your fingers up and down his bare arms.
Harry chuckled airily at you.
“What ye were taking too long” He was smirking again. You breathed a sigh of relief, he was smirking again.
“Who said I wanted to kiss you Mr. Stinky Metal Pirate”
“Ye did not seriously call me Mr. Stinky Metal Pirate?”
“I did” You were trying not to burst into a fit of giggles.
“I do not smell like bloody metal”
“Oh Harry darling” you said in a joking tone “But you d-”

In a split second he pulled your hands away from him and picked you up under arms, pulling you in front of him. You were pinned down, him over the the top of you grinning like an idiot. You were both laughing.
“Harold Hook” you said with mock sadness “You’ve picked the wrong girl to mess with”
You rolled to the side, escaping his grip and flipped him over, sitting on top of him. You pushed his chest down, your hands pressed against his torso.
“Y/N” he said softly, staring directly into your eyes. He leant his forehead against yours.
“Harry” He inched his head closer to yours so that you could feel the warmth of his breath. You pulled slightly away but he pulled you back, pressing his mouth against your ear, whispering to you softly.
“Anything ye want to tell me lass”
“Yeah” you laughed, squirming as his lips tickled your skin “If you don’t want to smell like metal, maybe don’t carry a hook around everywhere”
Before you could say anything, he sprung upwards scooped you up and tossed you over his shoulder
“Un-hand me you beast” you screamed as you flailed your limbs. He eventually let you go and you pushed him backwards on his bed, kneeling your legs either side of him. He wrestled you to the bed again. You tried to push him off, your palms flat against his and you both collapsed in a tangled heap on the floor. You sat up, giggling like little girls. You stayed like that for what seemed like an eternity.
“I’m tired. I’m going to sleep” You said eventually.
“Okay” he said simply grinning at you.

At that exact moment every light switched on one by one, flickering into action. You clasped at your ears when the stereo turned back on, playing the track at a significantly louder volume than it had originally been set at. Both you and Harry groaned but then started to laugh.
“Powers back then I guess” You said as you watched Harry wrestling with the speakers to turn them off.
“Yeah” the pirate awkwardly said, setting the remote down once it was quiet again.
“Still want to cuddle?” You asked hopefully, turning out all of the lights except for he lamp closest to Harry’s bed.
He looked up at you, grinned, then looked back at the floor.
“Ye’ve just read my mind Y/N”
He turned off the final light once you both laid together, you’re head resting on his chest listening to the gentle rise and fall of his breathing in the darkness. Finally, for the first time in months, you drifted off into a blissful, uninterrupted sleep.

“Oh my God, we get it chill.” You stood behind Mal leaning against the railing a bored look on your face as you rolled your eyes looking at your nails. Everyone stopped and looked at you, the VKs and Lonnie smirking while Umas crew looked at you in disbelieve, they couldn’t believe you had interrupted the boy with the fake hook. You looked up at him, challenging him to say something.

“Why would you do that to me, Uma? I had her!”  You exclaimed, your words dripping in venom as you pushed through the doors of Ursulas Fish and Chips and threw yourself into one of the booths.

“You and I both know you had nothing on her, Y/N.” Uma persisted, not even giving you a look as she made her way past you. “You’re too emotionally attached.”

You gave Uma a daring glare, your eyes traveling over her unfazed figure as she nonchalantly made her way up the stairs and behind the bar.

“Of course I’m emotionally attached! Mal was my best friend!”

Uma gave you a small scoff, her leather covered hands gently reaching out and retrieving a cloth to clean her sword. “Yeah, she was. That’s the point, Y/N. She was your best friend, but she’s not anymore.” She explained. “She abandoned you. She abandoned us. You didn’t accept that 6 months ago, and you still haven’t accepted it now. If I would have let you fight her, she would have destroyed you, and if she would have destroyed you, you’d be even more useless than you are now.”

You let out a laugh, the feeling of disbelief and anger taking over your body. “You know what, Uma? How about you go -”

“Ladies, ladies!” A voice called out, the smooth sound of their scottish accent immedietly making you register that it was Harry. “What’s done is done. There’s no point in fighting about it. Right, Y/N?”

You sighed, the sound of your boyfriends words ringing in your ears and calming you nerves. “Yeah, whatever.” You exclaimed, gently digging the heels of your hands into your eyes and letting out a shaky breath. “I’m sorry, Uma.”

Uma gave you a slight tsk, her eyes looking at you with disappointment as she and the fellow crew mates made their way through the doors and out onto the deck.

“Starting a fight with Uma? Are you serious, Y/N? If it was anyone but you she would have thrown them overboard.” Harry lectured, his hand reaching out and gripping yours as he sat down next to you.

“I know.” You proclaimed, squeezing his hand in reassurance. “I just…I just can’t believe it. Mal was my best friend, my sister, and she just left me on this Isle like I was a piece of garbage ” You stuttured, tears immedetly beginning to fall down your face. “And then for her to come back here and not even apologize? Are you kidding me? Did our friendship mean nothing to her?”

“Mal isn’t worth your tears, okay?” Harry whispered, a slight trace of anger lacing his voice as he kissed the thick droplets of water off of your cheeks. “She doesn’t deserve to have you as a friend, and they sure as hell don’t deserve to have you at that school.”

You gave him a small nod, your eyes looking at nothing but the black table in front of you. “Maybe you’re right, but that doesn’t change how I feel.”

Harry let out a sad sigh, his free arm gently wrapping around your waist before pulling you into him, his hand resting in your hair and softly combing through it.

“I know you’re sad, Y/N. But please, don’t cry. I hate seeing you cry.” Harry comforted, his hand leaving yours and lightly tapping your chin.”Your beautiful face is breaking my heart.”

You rolled your eyes, your boyfriends cheesy attempt at cheering you up having a slight affect as you cuddle yourself into him.

“I know. I’m sorry.” You apologize. “You’re probably tired of hearing me whine about it all the time. I mean, no wonder Uma thought I was too emotional to fight.”

“No, that’s not it!” Harry exclaimed, “I really just hate seeing you get hurt, especially when it’s over something as overrated as Auradon Prep.”

You gave him a knowing nod, breathing in deeply as you finally began to slow your tears. “I know, Harry. I just….I can’t live here. I can’t survive here. I’m not good enough.”

Harry shook his head, the disagreement evident on his face. “You, my love, are stronger than every single person in this crew combined.” He began, his hands cupping you face and bringing you closer to him. “If anyone can survive on this island, it’s you, and you have to believe me on that.”

“You’re wrong, Harry. I -”

“Believe me.” He interrupted, gently connecting his lips with yours and giving you a soft kiss.

You kissed him back, the feeling of his lips molding with yours warming your heart and fogging your mind from any negative thoughts that were coming your way. Smiling against his lips, you leaned further into him, the simple words ‘believe me’ lingering in your head as you kissed him deeper, the all too familiar taste of your boyfriends lips heavy on your tongue.

He tasted like reassurance.

He tasted like tears.

He tasted like home.
