harry's nose

anonymous asked:

You two don't argue often but it does happen. Kissing his nose is how you eventually make the tension lingering in the air disappear. It's a simple and affectionate gesture. It happens when you walk in on him sitting on the couch—head tilted back, eyes closed in thought. That's when he feels your lips briefly meet the tip of his nose before pulling away. It startles him but he can't help but smile a bit. You look down into his eyes and ask, "We're still cool, right?" "O'course, poppet." Idk xx

I genuinely teared up. I am not even lying, this made me cry. Jesus Christ, I can’t even explain how badly I want this…

And when the fight is more serious, he’ll wait for the nose kiss, eagerly, cause he hates fighting with you. And when it doesn’t come, when you go to bed without even bothering to tell him goodnight, without even bothering to give him his much expected nose kiss, that’s when he knows he messed up royally.

And in the morning, when you wake up, moving to stretch yourself, you find him cuddled so close to you, his face almost touching yours and when he opens his eyes, they’re red from lack of sleep - the sleep he lost trying to think of a way to say how sorry he is.

“Yeh didn’t give me my kiss.” He tells you, voice rough with sleep and regret. “M’nose kiss… that’s when I know you’ve forgiven me.”

“It’s cause I didn’t forgive you yet.” You sigh and even though you’re still quite mad at him, you can’t bring yourself to pull away from him.

“I’m really sorry, love. ‘M a tosser, a proper idiot and I’m so sorry.” He’s sincere and the way he’s nuzzling against you, nose bumping yours in search for some sort of contact shows you just how much this means to him.

Lifting your chin up, your lips press to his nose with a loud smack and you can hear the relieved sigh that comes from him, his shoulders relaxing immediately after you pull away, green eyes searching yours, gleaming with sincerity and regret.

“We’re good?” He asks, hopeful.

“We’re good.”

Hedwig Plot Twist:

In the final battle Voldemort and Harry cast their final spells….then out of no where Hedwig comes flying down, looking like a crazed bird with missing feathers and dirt all over her, knocks into Voldemort’s head causing him to lose concentration, and drops a howler that opens up to yell:
“NOT MY BLOODY HUMAN YOU NOSELESS TWIT! p.s. Harry dear so sorry I’m late I had a hell of a time getting here.”

Stay for the night

So… I had this idea earlier today and I’ve been working on it since 3PM. I hope you guys enjoy it and please let me know what you think! Lots of love, B xx

The house is empty and silent, much different than when you first arrived and the last bottles of beer and wine have been tossed in the bin just outside of Harry’s kitchen. You’ve managed to tidy things up a bit, make the house less messy than when his drunk guests left almost half an hour ago and now, after washing your hands from the sticky remnants of beer that got all over them while you cleaned up, you can finally try and find him and bid your goodbyes.

When you do find him, he’s sitting on his couch, legs spread open and a hand resting on his tummy, his head tipped back and resting against the back of the couch, a frown on his forehead and his lips pressed in a tight line - if you didn’t know better, you’d say he’s fighting nausea but you know the truth. You know he’s just about to pass out and sleep for the rest of the night on his couch and the only thing he’s waiting for is for you to leave - he’s too much of a gentleman to let you just leave without saying goodbye.

Smiling, you stand between his legs, one knee resting on the small bit of the couch that’s available and you lean forward, hand reaching for the curls that fall across his forehead, your fingers pushing it back in a slow rub against his scalp and he hums in appreciation of the gesture.

“Everyone’s gone.” You inform him, thumb smoothing across the frown lines on his forehead and he relaxes under your touch, his face turning softer, his lips opening around a sigh of contentment. “I’ve cleaned up so you don’t have to do it tomorrow.”

“Didn’t have to.” He says and you can see his sleepy green eyes open to glare at you, but the effect of his intended angry stare is just a grumpy and pouty, too sleepy to look menacing stare. “‘M a grown man, can do my own cleaning.”

“Know you are…” You giggle, cupping his face in one of your hands and rubbing your thumb across his pouty lips. “Just wanted to help.”

Back

“Why can’t I come with you?”

That question had been resonating in Harry’s mind for the past 12 hours and, despite having very logical reasoning behind it, he was finding it increasingly hard not to break down and buy two more plane tickets. His daughter was very good at persuasion, especially when she was upset, and every cry that came from her lips lessened Harry’s resolve immensely.

But, you both had decided that this particular trip was going to be one that you and your daughter sat out of. Harry was only going to be gone for four days and the weather forecast for New York wasn’t great; it was just as easy for you to keep yourself and your daughter at home in London while Harry made the trek, instead of having to lug both yourselves and tons of extra warm clothing in case you got stuck there for a few extra days.

Every other trip that Harry had made in the four years since your daughter had been born, he had made with the two of you in tow; his schedule was flexible and sparse enough that adding two extra bodies on a week long trip to LA wasn’t a big deal. When he had gone on tour for six months, he had brought you with him; there was no way he was going away that long and leaving the two loves in his life at home. Your daughter was now used to being a little jetsetter with daddy and felt quite special whenever she got to fly in a plane and get “important” orange juice from the flight attendant in a big-girl cup. You weren’t sure exactly what her reaction would be in learning that she would be left behind with you on this trip, but you figured it wouldn’t be good.

You opted to keep the news under wraps until as close to Harry’s departure time as you could, just to avoid long, drawn out meltdowns if that were the case. The afternoon before, you and Harry sat down with her when she was in a good mood (fed, not in need of a nap and happily playing with toys) and told her that daddy was going to have to go away for a few days, but that she would have to stay home with you. Her face immediately dropped in confusion; this was unheard of, why would daddy be going away without her? You ALWAYS went with him when he travelled.

“Why can’t I come with you?” she pouted.

“Daddy’s only going for a few days and it’s going to be cold there,” he tried to explain, “You and mummy wouldn’t have any fun.”

“But I want to come!”

“I know you do, love, but I promise you’ll be so much happier staying here. You wouldn’t see daddy lots anyway; he’s got a lot of boring meetings to go to with Uncle Jeff,” Harry explained, crinkling his nose.

“If it’s boring, why don’t you stay here with me and mummy and Uncle Jeff can go by himself?” she argued.
