Request: Hi, may I please ask a request? Its a bit angsty tho. It takes place in OOtP, where Sirius talks to Harry by floo and Sirius says “You’re less like your father than I thought”. What if Harry reacted differently? What if he became seriously (no pun intended) upset? And Sirius wonders to Remus why Harry’s avoiding him and Remus finds out what he said and he flips out and Sirius realizes he f’d up and tries to apologize and they have a godfather/godson bonding. I hope this is ok :)

Warnings: You might cry, this is very bittersweet. The fandom needs more Sirius/Harry moments <3
Author’s Note: I hope you feel the same things while reading this as I did while writing it, because it’s one of my favorite things I’ve done.
“Alright, alright, I’ve
got the point,” said Sirius. He looked
most displeased. “Just an idea, thought you
might like to get together—”
“I would, I just don’t
want you chucked back in Azkaban!” said Harry.
There was a pause in
which Sirius looked out from the fire at Harry, a crease between his sunken

father than I thought,” he said finally, a definite coolness in his voice. “The risk would’ve been what made it fun for

Hermione gasped to Harry’s left and Harry felt color rising
to his cheeks at Sirius’s brash comment.
He narrowed his eyes at Sirius, who stared back from the flames with equal
determination. Beneath his anger at what
his godfather had just said, Harry felt more hurt than anything and was shocked
that Sirius would deal him what he knew was a very low blow.
“Yeah?” he asked quietly, challengingly, and he heard
Hermione murmur something hurriedly to Ron before the two of them got up and
left the vicinity.
Sirius’s eyes flickered away from Harry’s for a split second
before he made eye contact again and saw that Harry was daring Sirius to
“James hated being separated from his friends, is all.”
“And I don’t, is that it?” said Harry coldly, trying to
fight back the lump rising in his throat.
“Well, in case you haven’t noticed, I’ve got my two best mates with me, thanks.”
With that, Harry followed Ron and Hermione’s lead and left
the fireplace. He didn’t wait to see if
Sirius stuck around at all, but a soft pop
in the hearth gave him his answer.
The old woman’s screeches died and an echoing silence fell. Panting slightly and sweeping his long dark hair out of his eyes, Harry’s godfather, Sirius, turned to face him. Hello, Harry, he said grimly, I see you’ve met my mother.
“Yeah. I’m fine” “You seem pretty down lately", Ginny persisted.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry turned out to be my favorite character from the Harry Potter books. It took me ten years and a lot of readings to want to explore the main character as fanartist. I’m so glad all was well in the end. He deserves it.
Also, the last two panels are from my favorite canon Hinny scene. We might have this idea Harry felt in love with Ginny in his sixth year, but I’m pretty sure that happened in this scene from Order of the Phoenix (Chapter: Careers Advice). She talked to him when he was feeling bad and she made him feel hopeful.
