The way that we deal with racism and the way that we deal with each other is so unforgiving and so dismissive. We all have been raised with this one-track mind of, “I’m the most important and my future is the most important, and I need to be successful, because that’s the American dream: to be successful and have money,” but that’s not what makes us humans, and that’s not what gives us our humanity, and that’s not what’s gonna save us in the end. Ever.
