18-year-old Gocchi - who we met on the street in Harajuku - is wearing a Disney Ariel t-shirt with jeans that she’s customized with red hearts and WEGO platforms that she’s decorated with stickers. Full Look
So I just posted about my day in Harajuku (which you can read about here if you’re interested in that) and I thought I’d share some of it with you guys since this one store was pretty relevant to my blog!
Namely because we ended up in an anime shop which had a lot of Free! stuff. Cut-outs, an episode running on TV and loads of merch, that kind of thing. I managed to get hold of a RinHaru pillow, Rin manjuu and tonnes more crap and lottery winnings so it wasn’t a cheap visit but I’m so happy with everything I got! Plus, my Rin manjuu was the best flight buddy/pillow ♥ Jean got the Sousuke manjuu in the end too and we replaced our uncomfortable hotel pillows with them, hahah!
So, part of the reason why I wanted to post here is because it was actually this blog’s two year anniversary last week. I’m gonna get a bit soppy on you for a minute (or like… a few), bear with me.
I travelled to Japan with tegoxshi and lazyshark and roughly two years ago and a year and a half ago respectively I met these guys on this blog. I’m always so grateful for this blog and the people I interact with for getting me through some rough times but of everyone I’ve met since the beginning I’ve only actively kept in touch with a few of them.
Lotti and I were lucky in that we lived in the same country and relatively close too. She’s the best friend I could ever ask for and she’s supported me through everything and kept me going even when I didn’t think I could do it. I don’t know what I would have done without her but I know I wouldn’t be doing a lot of the things I enjoy today. I wouldn’t be dancing, I’d have no-one to study with and going to university would feel so much lonelier and difficult.
Jean gave me something to look forward to here on Tumblr and writing and plotting and generally just fangirling with her really cheered me up even when we were both too busy to talk often. Since she lived so far away it didn’t seem possible that we’d ever meet and until she actually flew to England I found it pretty hard to comprehend the fact that she’d really be coming on holiday with me.
I met these guys in a pretty strange way (try explaining this blog to friends and family… hint, I bend the truth) but I’m so grateful that I’ve had the chance to not only befriend these guys but meet them and travel all the way to Japan with them where we met so many more people. This was a holiday I’ll never forget and I couldn’t have asked for a better time or to spend it with better people.
Now that they’re gone I miss them so much and I really wish they lived closer but it just makes me more excited for the next time we can get together.
