Here’s the thing: I don’t mind it when I see posts about how Steve Rogers would support this cause or that cause or fight for this right or that right, even if it seems out of character to me. I don’t mind the trans!Steve posts and the asexual!Steve posts and the politically vocal pride-marching Steve posts. Because one, it’s not my business what people headcanon, but more importantly, two: that’s what Steve is supposed to be. Steve’s a symbol of the best in the world, he’s the hero every one of us needs. So when I see politically vocal!Steve even though I might disagree w that characterization or might disagree that he would fight for those or that particular causes, I know that’s what happening behind that post is someone’s saying “I need my hero to fight for this right for me” and that's exactly what Steve Rogers has always been since his inception. In the 1940s people of the world looked around and said “Hitler is too scary, we needed someone to fight him for us,” and they invented Steve. Now what the tumblr users are saying are “The war on women is too scary/homophobia is too scary/lack of representation of people like ME is too scary” and they’re using Steve to fight for that for them. And I think that’s just so great.
prompt: Dan and Phil are both sons of rich families and are sent to ballroom dancing lessons. Because there is a shortage of girls, Dan and Phil end up as partners. Phil really doesn’t want to be there and Dan doesn’t either, but is so frustrated by the fact Phil doesn’t want to dance with him he is determined to get him to.

most focused of students, and he’d admit to spending more lesson time
with his eyes glued to the window at whatever was happening on the

being plonked onto the board in front of him, but it’d never affected
him this much.

jimin has been staring at yoongi’s face with rapt attention for the past quarter of an hour or so, thoroughly fascinated by the concentration and focus he finds there. and with every tick of the muscle, every furrow of the brow, jimin only gets more curious as to what could possibly be showing on the laptop screen that has captured yoongi’s attention so completely.
“hyung, what are you doing?” jimin asks, no longer able to contain his curiosity and launching himself belly first to land on the couch beside yoongi. “whatcha lookin’ at?”
“nothing,” yoongi replies, very subtly shifting the monitor to face away from jimin, and this piques his interest even more.
