hans alister

Sometime I wish the Seven Realms fandom was bigger because then I’d have more people (any people) to fangirl with. But other times I’m just like: MINE YOU NO TOUCH and I thank the book gods that nobody (as of yet) wants to fight me over Hanson Alister.

this is random but i just reread the seven realms books and i’m surprised by how great they are every time i reread, never disappoints. like i remember them being amazing and then i reread them and like they’re even better

if you haven’t read them, you should, btw. it follows two separate characters (who’s lives inevitable intersect) Han Alister, street rat, gangster, theif, killer, and all around great guy. and Raisa ana’Marianna, princess heir to the queendom, pretty, smart, stubborn, and exceptionally badass. the first one is call The Demon King and they’re by Cinda Williams Chima

i recommend it

Nimue, Merlin, Emma, Regina and The Crimson Crown

I thought I’d google ‘The Crimson Crown’ and this looked interesting.

The Crimson Crown by Cinda Williams

A thousand years ago, two young lovers were betrayed - Alger Waterlow to his death, and Hanalea, Queen of the Fells, to a life without love.

Now, once again, the Queendom of the Fells seems likely to shatter apart. For young queen Raisa ana'Marianna, maintaining peace even within her own castle walls is nearly impossible; tension between wizards and Clan has reached a fevered pitch. With surrounding kingdoms seeking to prey on the Fells’ inner turmoil, Raisa’s best hope is to unite her people against a common enemy. But that enemy might be the person with whom she’s falling in love.

Through a complicated web of lies and unholy alliances, former streetlord Han Alister has become a member of the Wizard Council of the Fells. Navigating the cut-throat world of blue blood politics has never been more dangerous, and Han seems to inspire hostility among Clan and wizards alike. His only ally is the queen, and despite the perils involved, Han finds it impossible to ignore his feelings for Raisa. Before long, Han finds himself in possession of a secret believed to be lost to history, a discovery powerful enough to unite the people of the Fells. But will the secret die with him before he can use it?

A simple, devastating truth concealed by a thousand-year-old lie at last comes to light in this stunning conclusion to the Seven Realms series.

Nimue and Merlin’s story happened a thousand years ago, so the connection is easy to see. Then the love story in the now reads like Swan Queen. Regina suddenly has to step up and be the leader to protect everyone against Emma who she’s falling in love with.

Emma knows the truth about a thousand-year-old lie. She may know something about the true nature of the Light and the Dark.

Just thought I’d share. Did anyone read this series?
