Thanks to everyone who showed up on short notice to the Bravest Warriors deal at L.A.’s Meltdown Comics this afternoon. Signing and drawing were BOOM! Comics’ Hannah Nance Partlow, Sam Lavagnino (Catbug), and John Omohundro (Danny). Look for a bigger Bravest Warriors event at Meltdown in the next few weeks.

Two Weeks Out

Hello Dear Readers,

With two weeks left on the campaign, we’re well over 400% of our original goal, past our first stretch goal of making it so all physical editions will be hardcovers, and on our way to hitting the second stretch goal, which will allow us to hire professional book designer Hannah Nance Partlow, include a brand new, four-page epilogue about the creation and aftermath of Something Terrible, and will afford for a free cover poster for all donors pledged at $15 or more.

Today, though, I’m announcing TWO NEW DONOR REWARD TIERS, for folks who need a copy to share.

For a pledge of $40, you will now receive TWO physical copies of the revised, 36 page edition of Something Terrible, including bonus materials, a digital copy, a small print of the “You’ll Be Safe Here” page, a Something Terrible bookmark, and your name on the thank you page inside the book. (This is basically the $25 donor reward level with a bonus copy of the book.)

And for a pledge of $75, you can now choose to receive two SIGNED, physical copies of the revised, 36 page edition of Something Terrible, including bonus materials, a digital copy, a small print of the “You’ll Be Safe Here” page, a Something Terrible bookmark, and your name on the thank you page. (This is basically the $55 donor reward level with a bonus, signed copy of the book.)

Thank you SO MUCH for your continued support of this project. It might not seem like a big deal, since the campaign has already been funded, but sharing this project, and keeping it in the public eye, near the top of the most popular projects on Kickstarter, is allowing more people who need this story to find it. And many of you supporting this campaign know just how important that discovery can be.

The next stretch goal will be something truly special, and involve YOU. But first, let’s share this link far and wide, so everyone who needs to know that they get to be the hero, even if something terrible happened to them, will see the light in the sky.

The ridiculously talented Hannah Nance Partlow painted a mural of my personal motto, and it’s hangin’ up in Tucson, on Toole between 6th and Stone.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I have never met a more driven, willfull human being in my entire life.  She’s an Unkillable Thunder Christ made solely out of momentum and star stuff and if she didn’t exist in the real world I’d have to make her up

Now that we’ve teamed up, the forces of Evil don’t stand a chance.

Hey, Tucson pals: Pick up an issue of this week’s Tucson Weekly. It’s the SEX ISSUE (back by very popular demand). Notice on the cover where it mentions a dirty comic involving vinyl horse masks? That’s about a comic I made with Eric M. Esquivel, who just so happens to be my Valentine, too. Yeah.

It’s a smut comic, obviously. We hope it turns you on (read: “makes you laugh”).
