Grand Marquoir Sampler WIP - 04.18.2013


I was warned against stitching this on 40 count black linen, but look at it and tell me it’s not worth a little more work! I’ve really not had too much trouble with it - it’s Week’s Dye Works linen, and their fabric always seems to stay more “open” than other companies’ linen, so I find it easier to work with.

Fabric: 40 count Onyx linen (Week’s Dye Works)

Thread: Petite Dark Rainbow Yellow (100% mulberry silk handspun thread) - I’ll be using all the semi-solid Dark Rainbow colorways in this piece eventually.

Chart: Grand Marquior Sampler (available online in 6 parts as a free chart - pretty easy to find via google)
