handsome fighters never lose a battle

One thing I find kinda fascinating is how some of the win quotes for Street Fighter II were changed or altered between the original Japanese versions, and the localized versions for North America. Most are more or less the same, but there’s a few that I feel had a very different feel, if they weren’t completely altered altogether. I went ahead and compiled a list for comparison. There’s, like, a million different iterations of SF2, so this list only includes the first 3 iterations: The World Warrior, Champion Edition, and Hyper Fighting.

Direct Translation: “Not bad at all! But you’ve a ways to go. It seems you’ve gone lax on the training!”
American Localization: “You did quite well, but you need more training to defeat me!”

note: The console ports changed “Sheng Long”, from the first quote, to “my Dragon Punch”.
