bob the drag queen is hands down the funniest comedy queen to ever grace the stage of rupaul’s best friend race, serves beautiful looks every time, is an amazing performer, uses her position to fight for social justice, and is in general a stunning example of black excellence, and the lack of recognition she gets compared to some of the white queens is really telling

-you really began to think he was growing tired of you.

-it was now 2:30 am and yoongi was STILL in the studio while you were tossing and turning in bed.

-”fuck this,” you said before getting up and getting ready to approach yoongi at the studio.

-once you made it and you knocked on the door, yoongi opened up and you immediately noticed how out of it and tired you look.

-his eyes met yours and he began to tear up.

-”FUCK.”

-”i’m just trying to make my proposal fucking perfect and I can’t even do that for you, damn it.”

-obviously the stress of asking you to marry him in the way you deserved was getting to him.

-holy fuck, you just realized he said “proposal”.

-”you want to marry me, min yoongi?…”

-he came and held you tightly to him, small tears running down both of your cheeks.

-”will you please?” he asked with his forehead pressed against yours while he reached into his pocket for the gorgeous ring he’d gotten you.

-it wasn’t exactly traditional but you were so happy you were proposed to by the love of your life.

-”she will, just go ask her.”

-didn’t want a crazy proposal, just wanted to keep it intimate and personal between the two of you.

-legit proposed to you once you answered the door for him.

-didn’t say a word, just got onto his knee, busted out the beautiful ring and stared at you with nothing but nervousness in his eyes.

-you gasped and seriously almost passed out from the shock.

Jimin cards his hand through his hair as he walks down the busy Seoul streets. He adorned a black face mask, and sunglasses to try to be as unnoticeable as possible to the people mindlessly passing him as he heads to the address his company gave him. A coffee shop…how typical… He thinks; annoyance etched on every crevice of his face as the company told him of their plans.

He sighs as he reaches his destination. Standing under the neon signs that marked his last days of freedom for who knows how long. As he reaches for to pull the door of the shop open, out of the corner of his eye he spots the paparazzi trying to get the best sighting of him. He rolled his eyes at the thought of his company calling in an ‘anonymous tip’ as to his whereabouts, and who with. He never understood how they acted like they were so sly when they stick out like sore thumbs.

I am huge fan of Mai Mihara, thus I have trouble assessing her correctly. So I wanted to ask someone who is knowledgeable about FS and is unbiased. I want to know what do you think of Mai as a skater? How are her skating skills compared to other ladies? and what do you think of her programs and scores this season? Don’t worry about hurting my feelings or anything, I really want an objective assessment because I am biased and want to know where she really stands

Any thoughts on Wakaba Higuchi?

How do you feel about Wakaba?

And another, which has been in my inbox since dinosaurs walked the earth (sorry, anon…)

Anonymous said:

Mai Mihara was scored higher than Wakaba Higuchi at WTT17, now Wakaba is getting higher scores (of course she was cleaner as well). Personally Wakaba seems to me to be a better skater PCS wise (and her 3Lz-3T when it is on is glorious). Could you make do a general comparative analysis between the two (now that they both have done their first competition of the season)? Thank you, really like your blog

I should disclose upfront that Mai - Wakaba is my dream team for the Japanese ladies at the Olympics. I’ll try to be as objective as I can, but do keep that in mind :)

Mai Mihara

Jump: Mai’s jumps are of good quality, not the biggest in the field, but she doesn’t have any major error. Her jumps are light and airy with very nice flow in and out. Her Lutz used to be a bit iffy, but from the second half of last season, she’s been managing to steadfastly put that jump on an outside edge (if not particularly deep), and she’s still visibly improving on it, so no real cause for concern there. Her Salchow in particular is my absolute favorite:

Spin: Mai is a strong spinner, with good flexibility and good speed in all positions. She still needs a bit of creativity to make her spins truly shine, but on the basics there’s no issue whatsoever.

Steps / Skating Skills: Mai’s strength is in her light footwork and speed across the ice. Lovely soft knee action, good edges, very nice flow and glide.

In the remaining PCS areas, she needs to put some more work in making her transitions richer. Her programs this year are constructed a lot better in this aspect over last season, but still feel a tad empty in between technical elements especially when you compare hers against, for example, the Russian girls’. Her performance is good, she connects well with the audience and she does have that star quality which keeps your eyes glued to her throughout her program. Her composition is another area that needs some work: her choreography could do with more depth in originality and complexity, owing in part to the lack of transitions as mentioned. Interpretation is IMO, Mai’s strongest point: she has a wonderful musical sensitivity, and her movements, even though they might be simple still, are always in tune with the nuances of the music. What I’d love to see is for her to combine that innate musicality with more variety in expression, especially in upper body movements.

Wakaba Higuchi

Jump: Wakaba is just about the biggest jumper in the ladies’ field right now. Oddly enough, this quality is working as somewhat of a double-edged sword for her, in that it would at times cause her to struggle with controlling her landing. This is an issue especially during 3-3 combos, where the lack of running edge from the first jump would cause her to under-rotate the second jump. She has some issue with her flip edge (though, like Mai, she’s improving), which leads me to this burning mystery: why on this good face of earth does that young lady insist on having a triple flip in her SP??? Well, I complain too much, but really, I like Wakaba’s jumps a lot. She is training the triple Axel, of course, and both her programs this season are structured clearly with space for the inclusion of that jump, so I am more than thrilled looking forward to its debut in her official repertoire. As it is, her double Axel is bigger than some of the triples we see in the men’s competition.

Spin: flexibility isn’t Wakaba’s strong point, but she makes up for it with stability and good acceleration in her spins. She’s one of the rare ladies who don’t do a Biellmann position, but her variation on the haircutter is quite pretty.

Steps / Skating Skills: Wakaba is already famous for the amazing speed and power in her footwork, of course. What I appreciate most from her is in how well-aware she is of her strengths and how good she is at putting her forte to use: her movements are robust and energetic but never feel dull or heavy. Her programs do not have the lightness or delicacy that most other ladies aim for, instead she’s building an expressive, intense, and powerful brand of skating, and that makes her stand out from the rest of the field.

In PCS terms, I’d like to see some better control and precision in her edgework, especially during step sequences. Her transition content is much improved this season, but she still needs to add another layer of difficulty to her jump entries to really bring up those GOEs. Her performance, too, has seen huge development this season - she’s looking more confident and is projecting better than ever. On composition, I’m not the biggest fan of her SP, but her FS is hands down my most favorite this season from the ladies. I have rarely seen a music choice that fits so well, nor a choreography that so perfectly celebrates a skater’s individuality, or is so capable of utilizing all of the skater’s best strengths (all hail Shae-Lynn). I am looking forward to seeing Wakaba grow together with that program, so that we can see even more sharpness and expression in her movements - that which will bring out the best of her interpretation as well.

Overall, I think both Mai and Wakaba are very well-rounded skaters, though they each excel in completely different aspects of skating. I also think both of our girls are amazingly level-headed when it comes to dealing with pressure and keeping their focus in competition. So far this season, Wakaba is ahead of Mai in competitive results, but don’t panic yet if you are a Mai fan, because she’s the type that keeps getting stronger and better as the season progresses :) I remain convicted that Mai - Wakaba is the dream team for Pyeongchang.

Wolves Den (One Shot)

SUMMARY: Alexandria is at war with the Saviors. You and Daryl are on the front lines fighting your way into the Sanctuary when the place gets overrun by walkers. You get shot and Daryl drags you to a nearby trailer to take shelter, but quickly realizes Negan has also chosen to take shelter there as well. Negan has always been fond of you when he sees you during his visits to Alexandria and Daryl has secretly been in love with you ever since you two met. These two men have every reason to hate each other, but must put aside their differences to save the life of their only shared interest.

NOTES: Ahhh my first one shot ever! I thought I’d give you guys a little something to keep you busy while I’m still working on ABC and JPT. Love yousssss.<3

TRIGGER WARNING: convulsing/seizure, Bleeding, reader’s character getting shot, bootleg surgery, fighting

WORD COUNT: 1,439

“Fall back! Fall back!” you heard Rick screaming from outside the gates of the Sanctuary, but you and Daryl had gone too far and were trapped in the middle of the sea of walkers that was about to hit the entire place. You turned around at Rick’s exclamation, taking your eyes away from the Savior you had been shooting at. The moment you turned around you felt a sharp, burning sensation run through your abdomen. Everything stopped and was now moving in slow motion for you. You looked down and saw yourself now gushing blood and realized you had been shot. You hit the ground, holding the wound tight and gritting your teeth in pain. Daryl looked over at you and saw what had happened. “No…NO! (y/n)!” he yelled out. He shot the last Savior in sight right in the head and ran over to you at full speed. He gently slapped your cheek to keep you from losing consciousness, “Hey. Hey hey hey.” he whispered sharply. He looked up in desperation as he saw the hoard of walkers headed straight for the both of you and looked around for a place to take shelter. He saw a trailer that looked like it might be unlocked. He scooped you up and threw you over his shoulder and made a break for it. It was unlocked! He quickly pulled the door shut and jammed a random chair under the handle for extra protection. He turned his attention back to you now and kept trying to keep you awake. He lifted up your shirt to see the wound. It had gone into the right side of your abdomen just between your hip and your waistline. The bullet was still in there and causing you to bleed even more. He needed to get it out and stop the bleeding as best he could until he could get you to the Hilltop’s doctor. He started to look around for anything he could use to get the bullet out when he heard a voice come from the shadowed back part of the trailer. “Looks like you got a little bit of a situation on your hands there Daryl.” The voice said in a deep, mocking tone. Daryl looked up knowing exactly whose voice it was and drew his gun immediately. It was Negan. He arrogantly sauntered out into the dimly lit side of the trailer you and Daryl were both on and grinned, intrigued by the situation before him. His smile fell a little though when he saw it was you. He had had a thing for you for a while now and had full intentions of making you his newest wife when he could finally get you to come around to it. “What happened?” He questioned Daryl with solemn concern. Daryl glared at him with hate, but hesitantly responded “Shot.” He still kept the gun pointed straight at Negan’s head. Negan made a move towards you to take a closer look at your injury, but Daryl lowered the gun and stopped him, pushing his chest out and tilting his head back in a “ready to fight” stance. They made the most solid, tension-filled eye contact for a moment before Negan shoved Daryl which started a physical altercation between the two. They threw punch after punch and wrestled up against the walls, each man struggling to gain the upper hand. Daryl had gotten Negan into a choke hold when they both noticed you starting to convulse. They both quickly lost interest in killing one another and hurried over to you. Your whole body was shaking uncontrollably and your eyes were rolled back into your head. Daryl held you down and yelled to Negan “I gotta get the bullet out of her! Get me somethin!” Negan handed him an ice pick that had been lying on a shelf in the trailer. “This is the best you’re gonna do.” He said. Daryl grunted in frustration and looked at you apologetically, knowing how much pain he was about to cause you. He dug the ice pick into the bullet wound and you began to scream out in agony. The good news was, the pain brought you back from your convulsive state and your eyes were no longer rolled back. They were, however, closed now as you writhed in pain. Your hands felt around whatever was causing you the pain and tried to push it away, not knowing it was Daryl trying to help you. Negan now came to Daryl’s aid and pinned your hands down as Daryl did his best to perform surgery on you to get the bullet out. Negan, now up close to you, realized the full extent of your injury and a sad concerned look no one had ever seen on him appeared. “I can’t get it!” Daryl yelled. You screamed louder again followed by a moaned whimper as you arched your back and kicked your legs to wiggle out of Negan’s hold on you. This caused the ice pick to launch deep inside of you and Negan shoved a shoe laying nearby into your mouth before you could let out the blood curdling scream both he and Daryl knew was coming. Daryl pulled the ice pick out and discarded it. He dug his finger into the wound. He finally got a hold of the bullet now and hooked his finger to pull it out. He was successful, but you had now turned ghostly pale and your lips took on a blue shade. All you were capable of now was letting out a series of little gasps, “Uh. Uh. Uh. Uh. Uh. Uh.” Your body laid there shaking while it was attempting to recover from the trauma it just endured. “She’s losing a lot of blood.” Negan said. Daryl looked at him with his usual look of despise and bluntly snapped, “I know.” “You sure she’s gonna make it?” Negan questioned Daryl matter-of-factly. Daryl didn’t even acknowledge the question as he tore off pieces of his shirt to slow down the blood loss as much as he could. You grabbed Daryl’s arm and he immediately looked at you “I- Uh. Uh.” you tried to push out words to form a sentence, but you weren’t capable. Daryl looked at you with breaking emotional strength as he placed two fingers on your jugular vein to check your pulse. It was very weak and he sighed. “Daryl-“ Negan began in a sympathetic tone, but Daryl cut him off. “She’s gonna make it.” He hissed at Negan, throwing daggers for eyes at him. Daryl got up and checked outside the trailer window to see if the walkers were gone yet. They didn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon. “Here. Help me.” Daryl ordered Negan bluntly as he motioned for him to help him put you up on one of the built in benchs. Negan grabbed your legs and they carefully moved you and laid you down. By this point you were barely conscious. Negan sat down by your feet and Daryl had your head on his lap, stroking your face. You softly pushed your face into his touch with a muffled whimper. “You got a thing for her, dontchyou.” Negan smirked. Daryl didn’t respond. “That’s okay. You enjoy it now while you can cause soon, she’s gonna be MY wife.” Negan spitefully chuckled. Daryl looked at him as if he wanted to fight again, but he knew neither of them were in the position to do so and it wouldn’t benefit you at all. Hours of waiting out the walkers ticked by and Daryl fell asleep, sitting upright with your head still on his lap. Negan actually slumped over into your pelvis when he fell asleep. Both of them were awakened by one of Negan’s surviving men knocking on the door and breaking it down. “Sir? Sir? Negan?” the man said. “In here” Negan said exasperated. “Sir I-“ he stopped when he saw Daryl. Daryl got up and scooped you up into a bridal carry, “We was just leavin.” Daryl huffed and he exited the trailer with you in his arms. Daryl started making his way to the Hilltop when King Ezekiel pulled up in one of Alexandria’s vehicles. “I’ve been waiting for you. I knew the two of you would make it out alive. Now come, let us get her to the doctor.” Daryl grunted in relief and gently loaded you into the back seat before getting in. He had no idea what he would have done if he were to lose you today. You were his only sunshine in a world full of darkness and death.

Under Control {Daveed Diggs Imagine}

Requested: Hi can I have an imagine where the reader is part of the Hamilton cast (she plays Lafayette’s wife in act 1 and in act 2 Jefferson’s cause she sings a lot) and her famous boyfriend (comedian) surprises her and proposes! @trueblue80s

I am so excited to write this and I hope that it will fulfill your needs. Much love

Warnings: fluff, angst

When you first started Hamilton, it took some time getting used to it. When you got the call that said you were going to be Lafayette’s and Jefferson’s wife you were ecstatic. It was going to be a lot of hard work but you were so excited that your dream came true. One of the best things about being cast was the support of your boyfriend. When you got the news he danced around and celebrated with you for the rest of the night in your small apartment. Surprisingly enough, the next day he got a call telling him that a got a consistent spot on a comedy night. He was an upcoming comedian and finding a regular gig was hard at first, but once people saw and heard how good he was they were all lining him up at their venues. It was amazing that the both of you were getting started at the same time. As your boyfriend worked on his act, you were at the long, grueling rehearsals. Now don’t be mistaken, the rehearsals were so much fun at the same time. You quickly found out that the cast and crew of Hamilton are fantastic people, all so unique and kind in their own way. You quickly befriended many people, but your closest friend there would have to be Daveed Diggs. You and Daveed immediately clicked and thankfully so because you were with him very often because you played the role of his wife for both of his characters. Many times during rehearsal, the two of you would be working on a serious part of a song and start laughing out of nowhere because either you or him you making funny faces at the other. Yes, other people found it a little bit annoying, but the two of you just didn’t care.

I finished it! I had fun writing this even though I’m not very satisfied with it. The last part was a little bit rushed, sorry. I just realized it’s way past my bedtime but I wanted to finish it, so here it is. Sorry if there’s a lot of grammar mistakes. Like I said, it’s way past my bed time. I’d read this and edit the grammatical error when I have the time! It took a long time to post this one, since my teachers decided to give me a pile of projects to finish before finals.

Currently have some requests in my inbox and I’ll do that when I finish my finals which is in a week. Feel free to leave in more request and also comments for my writing. Hope you enjoy!

Send In The Clowns

A ramble on the platinum pair: Javier and Yuzuru

First of all, they are platinum not only because of their achievements but also because they are my favorite skaters so far in this generation. With the Olympics coming in half a year, one can’t help but feel anxious and excited for this competition to come full circle. While doing research for my writing (and brushing up my Spanish skills as well), it reminded me of how different these two were in terms of what they put into the ice and why I like these differences so much.

Yuzuru Hanyu, to be one with the ice

Yuzu is, hands down, one of the best skaters ever and what is so captivating about him it’s that you can almost empathize with his programs. He has performed different characters – Romeo and Juliet, a phantom, a swan – but he truly shines with ‘abstract’ programs because those are where he basically opens himself to the audience.

I absolutely love Ballad and Seimei and I’m truly happy he has chosen them again for this Olympic season. And while people argue that he’s just impersonating Abe no Seimei on the ice, I feel there’s more to it, that the intensity in his eyes and the sharp body movements are not just an act, and that they are a natural extension of his character. And maybe that’s why Boston was so depressing because he could not honor not only the program, but it felt as a personal failure (especially for a perfectionist like him) as well. He has said in recent interviews that he feels Seimei is a program he can be himself on the ice.

This idea of being himself had already struck me last season with Hope and Legacy (which is still my favorite LP, to be soon dethroned by Seimei 2.0). When he skated to it, there was no idea of a character on ice. There wasn’t even a storyline in my head. What I felt were simple different emotions being evoked and told as his blades glided through the ice. It is such a complicated thing to explain and to put down to words – every single gesture and facial expression is like ‘I have been through this and I fell but I will rise again. Do you understand me?’ and I am nodding as I watch the program. He’s the first skater whose programs had made me cry.

Javier Fernández, the actor on ice

Javi, on the other hand, is someone else when he’s on the ice. And before people bombard me with accusations of calling him a liar, this is absolutely NOT true. If we look at Javi’s repertoire, 90% of his programs were famous figures you can identify easily and there is already a predisposed idea in your head and you are not looking at Fernandez the skater anymore, but Fernandez, the [insert name of the character]. He’s done Bruce Lee, James Bond, a pirate, Elvis Presley, Chaplin, Zorro, and others.

If you go through the full list, the characters are normally flirty, charming and Javi is unreserved on the ice. The Black Betty is a good SP to illustrate the aforementioned qualities. And Javi plays well these figures. He does have charisma to burn and he knows how to connect with the audience easily. Sometimes it’s almost as if he chooses someone and his gaze his fixed on that (lucky) person. When the program finishes, he either smiling with pride or looking down disappointed, you can see that ‘click’ or change back to his person, even if he goofs on the Kiss and Cry. I’ve watched interviews in which he says he feels more secure and comfortable portraying (outgoing) characters and that the ice is almost some sort of stage.

And this brings me to the fact that it’s a pity he’s not doing La Malagueña again (maybe he should have explored this choreography one season later), because it’s one of the few programs that I can see Javier Fernandez, the Spanish skater, on the ice and lifting the name of his country in those 2:50 minutes. Maybe it’s my lack of Latin culture and the meaning of the song, but that flamenco was the closest to a raw Javier. He’s bringing the Spanish flavor to the coming Olympics with ‘El hombre de La Mancha’, but he’s still trying to blend Don Quixote and Cervantes and these are characters again. I’m not complaining though. The program does not follow the funny/comic approach and I’m really curious about it.

Note: this is purely my opinion so feel free to agree or contest it.

My Worlds recap

Here I was, on March 30th, in my hometown Riga with bus and ferry tickets and most importantly - tickets to Ladies practice and Short Dance in my pocket. I could not believe I was going to Worlds after many years of living and breathing figure skating. This was a dream of mine that I thought would never come to life. It felt so surreal I had to pinch myself a few times. 😅

When me and my mom made it to the arena at 8 AM on March 31st, it was so difficult to hold back tears ( i am literally tearing up as i’m writing this 😂). Watching figure skating has been one of the biggest parts of my life for five (!!!) years now and I don’t think I can put my feelings towards it in just some sentences. It is better than all the movies because it’s the real life - but with the spectrum of emotions I only get to see in the cinema. It doesn’t only show “the movie” (aka the performance) but also every behind the scenes action (like the emotions before and after the performance, the training process, the challenges along the way) which makes it so much more interesting. So when I walked in the arena it felt like a dream come true. They didn’t have doors heading to each sector, but a curtain instead (to not make a sound every time someone enters or exits) and because it was the practice time for Ladies the curtains weren’t closed but fully open instead. So even when I had just come in the arena, I could already see a glimpse of the ice rink which felt so surreal and that was the first time it hit me so hard that I was actually really here - at the World Championships.

It felt fantastic to see stars like Ashley Wagner, Kaetlyn Osmond, Gabrielle Daleman, Evgenia Medvedeva, Anna Pogorilaya and Carolina Kostner skate so close to me (we were seated really close to the ice), to see their determined faces and to live through their great performances. Incomparably mesmerizing.

Before the short dance there was some time to kill so we just walked around and enjoyed the atmosphere which is SO unique! There is this buzzing feeling which makes you feel warm and welcomed and everyone looks nervously excited. We walked through every booth/shop there was, I even got some beautiful postcards from John Wilson Blades booth (they were handing them out for free?! 😧) with Ashley, Patrick, the Shibs and Chock/Bates. There I met a lovely French fan and we had a brief talk about our journeys as fans and let me add that it feels so weird to actually talk with someone about figure skating after you’ve mostly only shared your opinions online and have never had a legit conversation live??! 😂

Then it was the time for the short dance (oh my, hearing the ISU fanfare live was hands down the best experience ever 😂😂😂) . I have been a massive ice dance fan since forever and I am a big supporter of Tessa&Scott. They are the main reason I was actually here - I can’t put into words what they’ve done to me in these past years - they have held me up every time I felt down in various ways - with their performances, life stories or just small interviews. I just wanted to give back to them a little with my heartfelt support. However, I joined the V/M fandom in 2012 when everyone was furious about D/W and their success (which would happen in 2013 and 2014) and I quickly learned to be as bitter as everyone else. It feels sad to look back now and think that we used so much time to just talk about Meryl and Charlie - more than about great things of Tessa and Scott. I only understood this after T&S took a break after 2014 and I just became this casual ice dance fan who wanted to see the best in everyone and was listening to everyone’s stories of ups and downs. It was the same fantastic atmosphere - just without all the rage. During this period of time I really fell in love with Kaitlyn&Andrew, Maia&Alex and Gabriella&Guillaume. When Tessa&Scott came back I couldn’t believe how great I felt during the season - it was now 100 times more exciting as I had so many couples I loved and supported throughout (…well, i did love t&s a little more than anyone else though 😆) . And you have NO idea how much I loved the theme of this years SD. SOOOO much spunk and sass! I hope you don’t mind me saying that pretty much all of these were the best short dances I have ever seen from the top teams.

First of all, let me say a word about the atmosphere live. It is absolutely incomparable to the TV. The audience noises are lowered for about ten thousand times and are almost inaudible in the TV which is the biggest change. The ovations are so impressive you can’t believe them at first. Second of all, the skating skills and the speed is insane live. And thirdly of all, the costumes look SO. MUCH. DIFFERENT. (they are much more sparkly and colorful 😍✨).

I was actually worried that I might not last for seven freaking groups but the time went so fast. I still can’t believe the zamboni breaks. I swear to god they didn’t last more than five minutes 😅 (I always get cranky during the resurfacing breaks when I watch TV - feels like hours). From the first four groups couples that stood out for me the most were Smart/Diaz, Kaliszek/Spodyriev and Lauriault/Le Gac - they all had great stage presence and superb feel to the music.

Then the fifth group came. All of a sudden Tessa and Scott were on the ice and I was like one of these crazy Bieber fans who can’t stop their tears. I tried my hardest to bring the tears back but I miserably failed (I had promised myself that I would act NORMALLY NOT START CRYING ON MY FIRST OPPORTUNITY I AM SO WEIRDED OUT OF THE SUDDEN EMOTIONS THAT CAME OUTSIDE IN THAT MOMENT - I am a very reserved person who always puts herself together 😂). Tessa’s costume is SO much more beautiful live. I wasn’t a fan of it when I first saw it but DAMN she looked hot. Also the golden sparkles around the cutouts on the pants are basically not seen at all in the usual professional pics but they were actually unbelievably shiny. And Scott just has this amazing aura around himself. He seemed to ooze confidence but also some sort of humbleness. And OMG - they’re fast. But the thing that struck me the most was the non-touching step sequence. They did it once in the warm up and I legit thought it was some “easy version of this sequence without the hard steps just to get warmed up” and you can’t imagine how surprised I was when they performed it in the actual dance. It WAS the sequence. I swear it looked like anyone could do it. So light and easy. Now THAT was the moment I understood how superior they actually are. Everybody else’s StSq looked, you know, like a StSq should look like - a hard element hard to execute (don’t get me wrong - they were mostly done beautifully but it was visible that this is a hard element - which it is 😆). After the warm up ended I was probably still in shock so I have no recollection of the first two pairs in that group. Sorry. 😁 Then they came up on ice for a short warm up again while the previous teams scores were announced. And this includes the moment I think nobody has caught on camera (I don’t think I have seen any pre-sd videos at all which is such a shame). They were just gliding on ice separately with Tessa slightly in front of Scott. Then they started to slow down because they were coming to Marie France. And while they’re slowing down, Scott skates right in front of me with the biggest grin ever and his lovey-dovey eyes focused on Tessa’s back slightly in front of him. And that is the moment I calm down. His eyes bring the sense to me that everything is going to be okay and he is confident about it (i swear to god he’s a magician or whatever but that look was SO calming and surreal). And Tessa just turns her head, looks at his face and literally rolls her eyes with a smile on her face (okay i might’ve imagined the eye rolling but you all know that face when tessa looks at scott and thinks ‘god you’re such an idiot i love you’) and then they’re already with Marie France with last words before performance. The actual performance was unreal. They did their beginning moves right in front of me and that was SO sharp. Also when they did these moves there were quite few “eeeaaaww” kind of shouts or whatever the Michael Jackson kind of short screams sound. That was superb and I’m so sad NONE of them are audible during the actual recording. It gave a great atmosphere. Scott did the kneeling thing right before the end of the first section right in front of me which left such an impact. SOO much control. The blues sequence was hella smooth (and twizzles were ok but i was so scared about them) BUT THE LIFT. THE STADIUM FREAKING ERUPTED DURING THE LIFT. I felt as if I had wings and had been accepted into paradise. And then it ended and I was on my feet and there was an ocean of tears (whoops😅). It was an experience I will never forget.

Then it was time for Group number 6. I have to be honest - I was a little disappointed with Stepanova/Bukin. I’ve been a huge fan of their SD but seeing it live was a little bit underwhelming. It’s the way of skating - they skate “small”. However I still loved the choreography and their chemistry is certainly the best in the younger ice dancers field. If they can improve their skating skills, I’m completely on board.

Piper and Paul were a huge surprise for me. Even when they were warming up with everyone else, you could feel their presence the most. And let me just say this - Canadian men are superior dancers. Scott, Paul and Andrew all felt a bit similar to me. They makes themselves look extremely confident (i mean their skating skills also are 😍) and they lead their ladies better than anyone else - it just feels extremely natural. So, back to Piper&Paul. This was a huge hit in the arena (and for me!). The feeling was great throughout the performance and I just want to say it one more time - the skating skills (piper has improved so much)!! the twizzles! they took my breath. I have to admit I didn’t think this dance would actually work for me but it did.

Another team which surprised me in a good way were Bobrova&Soloviev. As the season progressed, I always felt as this program was a little “pushed”. They tried to bring the sass, but instead it came off as a vulgarity. However the forms they create on ice are very clean and blade work is beautiful so I was actually scratching my head after watching these two because I’ve never really liked them but somehow they look better live (I just don’t understand why?)

I was also delighted by Anna&Luca’s performance. That dress looked even more beautiful live and they also made me like them more than on TV. They just draw you in and you can’t do anything about it. I just wish they would be more versatile (but i still love them!)

The seventh group started with the Shibs who I think had the very close second short dance choreography-and-idea-wise behind T&S. I’ve absolutely adored this dance all the times this season and this was no exception. That lift was badass and man, those twizzles… I didn’t think that was going to leave such a big impact on me. SO sharp in every movement. Alex just needs improve his facial expressions a bit and then they’d be even more perfect (also maia is a literal goddess).

I have to say my sentimental favorites of the night were Kaitlyn&Andrew. Their skating on TV looks a bit like Stepanova/Bukin’s so I was a little bit worried that it would fall flat. It was the DIRECT opposite. I think their skating skills were second only to VM that night because damn, they skated with so much speed. And their chemistry just went sky high. Also that lift made the arena erupt (again😂). It looked so much more powerful than on TV. The move where Andrew just rolls Kaitlyn on his back was hands down one of the coolest of the night. I was just so happy to see them perform the best they can after some disappointing starts. It was truly wonderful and after they finished I was standing and in tears again. I thought they were terribly underscored, but oh well, #twizzles. (they are both also incredibly hot 😏🔥)

Gabriella&Guillaume were also amazing live. I loved that they did the most program to the blues music which I truly respect because it is so much harder to keep an audience interested with blues than with hip hop. But the slow section was amazing - the attention to details and the blade work was soooo smooth. I’ve got to say although Guillaume’s skating skills and dance moves are through the roof fantastic, he doesn’t “lead” his partner that well - the Canadian guys do it so much better. I don’t think he has any rivals in the “best male ice dancer by himself” category, but he has a lot to learn to be the best in the “best male partner in ice dance” nomination - he isn’t the full package yet. However I’m a big fan of hard work and dedication (and I’m sad people only appreciate Guillaume’s because he is the more gifted one) so I’m a big fan of Gabi, her personality and facial expressions during the performance. She sells everything better than Guillaume but I don’t think she’s being recognized enough for that.

Madi&Zach also surprised me live by looking far more polished than on TV. The movements were sharp and they’ve got this weirdly different blade quality compared to others that I can’t explain (but i liked it). I certainly was a bit cringey about the music at the beginning of the season, but I’ve got to say that crowd really appreciated it and I was also on board. I smiled so hard when the scores came up because I absolutely love it when underdogs show everyone what they’re capable of.

Last up were Madi&Evan and this unfortunately turned out the same way I felt about Stepanova/Bukin. I had also been a big fan of this SD all season but their way of skating didn’t seem to impress me. I had also liked how Evan just tossed around Madi various times in the program but live it just seemed a little too much? BUT I totally respect that they have worked so much with their chemistry because it was nonexistent some years ago but now they just scream the word “FIIIIREEEEEE”. 😉

Afterwards there were about a hundred of people making a crowd close to the door which skaters entered to go to the draw for the FD. Well, I think it’s not a very good way to get a skaters autograph. They are very tired after the competition and it’s not even over - there’s still the FD so they got to keep focused. I think a moment between a skater and a fan should be much more personal than just blocking an entrance just to get your autograph. I don’t know, it just made me a little uncomfortable when everyone was waiting for them just to come like they’re some sort of zoo animals or whatever. I didn’t want any autographs or anything, it was just SO hard to get through the far-too-excited crowd (to the exit of the arena) I decided to wait until they go away. I didn’t even register that I was standing right after the entrance to the draw (where it wasn’t crowded at all, in fact I was like the only person there) and the wall was from glass so you could see the skaters after they entered the “closed zone”. And then I turned my head and saw FREAKING TESSA AND SCOTT in the closed zone. About a meter from me there was this crazy crowd waiting for skaters and turning their heads in the other direction while I was enjoying my view of Tessa and Scott having a conversation. 😄 They were kind of afar from me though and I was trying my best not to stare ('they are not animals and it is rude to do that’ I muttered to myself) - I don’t think they even saw me because they looked completely in ease as the glass wall separated them from everyone. Then they left further for the draw and I couldn’t see them anymore. Tessa&Scott were already in the closed zone because they skated early but the skaters from the last group still had to come. I’ve got to say it was a bit sad to see the guards having a hard time taking the skaters from the crowd to the closed zone. People went crazy every time someone came. But I, still not accompanied by anyone, just had the best view of my life of skaters like Maia&Alex, Kaitlyn&Andrew, Gabi (Guillaume didn’t show up because he was getting his hand stitched) , Piper&Paul, Madi&Evan and Madi&Zach after they had gone through the crowd. Madison Hubbell actually turned around to see the crowd once again, laughed, then turned in the other direction, saw me all by myself, smiled and waved at me! 😎😱 I was so surprised but also very thankful for such a nice gesture! (jeez, but I hope I didn’t look like those weird, creepy stalkers 😁). The crowd finally went away and I got to walk out normally.

My journey was over but the memories were never going to fade. It was an experience I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world as it brought the whole spectrum of emotions to me. It was the best day of my life. I can never thank enough to my mom who came up with this idea and travelled with me. We had the most fantastic time ever. ❤️

(thanks for reading, this was suuuuper long 😂)

Cody of Set It Off is officially my favorite band member I’ve ever met and watched perform. So talented, so entertaining, so funny, so friendly, so genuine. I could not get over how interactive he was with every single fan. Wasn’t some quick picture and hello and goodbye. He came right up to you and hugged you and thanked you and chit chatted as long as you wanted. It was so worth driving 5 hours from Maine to Boston to see him. Best show I’ve ever watched, hands down.

Lords and mc cooking together! you know like those fluffy cooking moments together! 😅😅😅😅 ( Saizo, my dear cotton mama's yasu aka ieyasu xD, kojuro, masamune and mitsuhide.)

Here you are, friend! Hope you enjoy!

Saizo:

-        So it would start off pretty tame

-        MC is teaching Saizo how to make her super special dango (so he can make it on missions)

-        Dango, as we know, involves rice flour, and flour can be messy.

-        But why would it be messy if MC knows what she is doing and Saizo doesn’t make messes

-        Jokes on you MC, Saizo is going to make a mess

-        But on purpose.

-        The flour ends up everywhere, on him, on you. He ends up looking like the rain ghosts you hang up.

-        You are laughing, he has a smirk on his face as he leans over to brush the flour off your cheeks.

-        Yes he is whispering dirty things into your ear

-        His hot breath against your ear makes you shiver, and the look in his eyes has you feeling like Dango isn’t the only think he’s planning on eating tonight.

-        It isn’t

-        He makes you make his dango before y’all get hot and heavy though, he has priorities.

Ieyasu:

-        Oddly enough it was his suggestion

-        He wanted to learn how to tempura fry fish

-        But you convinced him that dessert was a bit easier, especially on you

-        Ieyasu burning himself and/or the entire castle down while attempting to fry fish was not what you wanted.

-        Seriously.

-        For someone who is so good at making medicine he proves to be a bit clumsy in the kitchen

-        He complains the entire time, but you can see the focus on his face as he attempts to shape the mochi.

-        To be honest, he is an easy student, and you love the bit of a blush that appears on his cheeks when you have lean close to him to help him.

-        “This is harder than it looks.” He grumbles, and you laugh.

-        His food is good, just a bit lopsided

-        He ends up eating what you made and leaving you with his

-        When you happily eat it you can tell he is pleased.

-        He grabs your hand, making you drop the last of the mochi, pulling you close to him, before you can question him his lips are pressed against yours.

-        “Sweet”

Kojuro:

-        You are very wary of taking Kojuro into the kitchen, and for good reason.

-        This poor man, he is good at many MANY things, but cooking is not one of them.

-        How you can make rice taste like that is beyond you.

-        But he is insistent, he wants to help.

-        “Okay” You trail off, smiling at him. You weren’t going to tell him no with that earnest look on his face.

-        So it is simple. He wants to make zunda mochi for Lord Masamune, and while the concept is sweet his first attempt…isn’t.

-        You can’t help but laugh at his face as he tastes it.

-        “Do you find something funny, precious girl?” Although he is trying to be stern you can see the mirth in his eyes.

-        “Nothing, Milord.” You giggled, allowing him to pull you against him.

-        “I don’t suppose you could make them for me?”

-        “I can help you, but on one condition.”

-        “What’s that?”

-        It’s a kiss, duh.

-        So you do, doing your best to guide his movements and his measurements.

-        The second batch is actually good!

-        Kojuro now wants you to teach him how to make more food.

-        Oh dear.

-        But the kisses are ~~~great~~~, so you indulge him.

Masamune:

-        Sweet Masa-bun

-        So instead of actually having him help make you the food

-        You actually just want to have him taste it.

-        It is a game, you blindfold him and let him taste the foods that you make, he has to guess.

-        Why? (because his face is so cute when he likes something and you want to figure out what those things are) (also because it is a little sexy)

-        Everything is going fine, from the tasting to the darkening blush on Masamune’s face every time your fingers brush against his skin.

-        When you finally get to the desserts imagine your surprise when he grasps your hand, bringing it up to his mouth, sucking the sugar off your fingers.

-        The blush on your face now rivals his.

-        He pulls the blindfold off his face, revealing his crystalline eyes, leaving you frozen at the juxtaposition of blue and green.

-        “I think you’re forgetting the best tasting treat of all.” He mumbles, the blush flaring down his chest.

-        “W-What?” You stutter as he pulls you into his lap, his soft lips pressing against yours.

-        “It’s you.”

Mitsuhide:

-        Mother hen Mitsuhide is actually helping you cook because you burned yourself yesterday.

-        So there you are, perched on a table, idly explaining what he has to do while he diligently listens and performs tasks

-        Ever so often you’ll brush your hand against his shoulders, glancing over him to look at his work.

-        He is good, there is no lie.

-        You let him do it but later that evening you make his tea because if he can do you work you can do his.

-        He makes a comment about how he had underestimated the work you were doing every day. He seems concerned you may be overworking yourself

-        You make a comment that he was the only one “overworking” you, if he caught your drift.

-        He did.

-        You seemed to be feeling better

-        He overworked you that night for sure.
