hand printed

You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream.
-C.S. Lewis.

Taking a risk to start Little Mountain Print Shoppe took courage, a lot of hard work & much determination. It could’ve been easy to just sit back and get real comfortable with “good enough” but instead I decided to pursue a dream and start my own fire. I encourage you to do the same!

Started in 2008., TTNP is a collaboration between Sven Sorić and Hrvoje Spudić, future architects and occasional poster-makers based in Zagreb, Croatia.

Amateur passion for posters and the independent scene pushes this “outfit” do the best they can to produce a decent piece of work when asked for. As of 2013. the duo shifts their focus toward hand printed posters.

On this day, 24th March 1834, English poet, social reformer, artist and designer William Morris was born.

William Morris founded the Kelmscott Press towards the end of his life. He wanted to revive the skills of hand printing, which mechanisation had destroyed, and restore the quality achieved by the pioneers of printing in the 15th century. The magnificent ‘Works of Geoffrey Chaucer’, published in 1896, is the finest achievement of the Kelmscott Press. Its 87 illustrations are by Edward Burne-Jones, the celebrated Victorian painter, who was a life-long friend of Morris.

The State Library of New South Wales holds a copy of the The Works of Geoffrey Chaucer published 1896.
