half light honey

i could spend the rest of the twilight hours
beneath willow trees,
in her arms.

soft, glowing light,
the ardent-tongued sun

resting calmly below the horizon

non-darkness,
half-light

the world honeyed,
sometimes a burning scarlet,
or mauve, or rosy

like the fingertips of Eos
(sans the innocence)
all this beauty, i could share it with her
i could spend the rest of my sunsets with her

Monthly Wrap-Up || March 2017

My real life has been chaotic this month, so while I read quite a bit in the first two weeks, I have read only about 50 pages in the last few days. Now that things are settling down, though, I hope to read more steadily in April.

The Books:

  • The last half of A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab: 5/5 stars
  • How Mirka Got Her Sword by Barry Deutsch: 4/5 stars
  • Radio Silence by Alice Oseman: 4/5 stars
  • Hyperbole and a Half by Alie Brosh: 3.5/5 stars
  • Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur: 5/5 stars
