half a billion dollars

a man worth 3 and a half billion dollars lied for a year and a half, with he and his supporters pretending that he “fights against the elite system for the common man” even though he has never done that in his life, and now he’s going to get a presidential position that he only sought after for FUN and self satisfaction while idiotic white americans feel like they’ve won something

years of evidence, testimony, facts and proof werent able to stand against bigots who felt the world had to suffer to justify their misplaced and racist anger

Your elderly grandmother has been talking to a Nigerian prince who says if she sends him $50,000 he’ll give her 1 billion dollars. You tried to stop her from handing over her savings, but one day she says he came through, then cuts you a check for half a billion dollars which clears.

Planned Parenthood can attribute a good portion of their boffo baby-killing business to their president since 2006, Cecile Richards. Richards is well on her way to personally matching Hitler’s body count. We’ve done the grim maths so you don’t have to.

Using a conservative estimate of 300,000 abortions a year — or 300 kiloscrapes, using the technical metric measure — Cecile Richards has presided over three million abortions, or three megascrapes in her ten years as president of the organization. This has earned her ‘half Holocaust’ status. Full Holocaust seems eminently reachable given Planned Parenthood’s growing hegemony in the abortion industry.

Planned Parenthood has since 1970 performed 7 million abortions, comfortably surpassing Hitler according to its own annual reports. You have to admire the chutzpah, if you’ll forgive my terminology: Planned Parenthood has amassed a Third Reich-style death count completely legally and while pocketing half a billion dollars a year to do so. But under Richards the numbers have skyrocketed such that in just the last ten years, at least 3 million young lives were ended.

If Cecile stays in her post another decade, she will reach ‘full Hitler,’ by matching the six million deaths of the Holocaust. In fact it’ll probably be sooner than that, given the acceleration in procedures during her reign. The road ahead may be rocky. Besides the undercover videos still being released, some media sources are starting to cover the revolting practices of these sociopathic monsters. Nice normal people, whatever their views on abortion, have no stomach for these unashamed charnel-house activities. And perhaps President Trump will defund them.

You know, I’m not naive as to why people would think it was a bad [career] choice, or why there is a snobbery about it. But I’m also not stupid, and I knew with [director] Sam [Taylor-Johnson], and [cinematographer] Seamus McGarvey, the film would be in safe hands. And, you know, it does no harm to be in a film that makes half a billion dollars.

What makes mosquitoes so dangerous? Despite their innocuous-sounding name—Spanish for “little fly”—they carry devastating diseases. The worst is malaria, which kills more than 600,000 people every year; another 200 million cases incapacitate people for days at a time. It threatens half of the world’s population and causes billions of dollars in lost productivity annually. Other mosquito-borne diseases include dengue fever, yellow fever, and encephalitis.

The impact of video relay services, or VRS, has been titanic for businesses owned and operated by the deaf. VRS has grown into a half-billion-dollar-a-year industry as more and more deaf Americans gain access to speedy mobile data and sophisticated phones. It’s changed forever not only the way that Mozzeria, a pizzeria in San Francisco, California, and other deaf-run restaurants do business, but how the deaf navigate a world made for the hearing. In fact, VRS ranks among the biggest-ever leaps in deaf communication with the hearing. And it’s all free, thanks to you.

Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum houses a world-class art collection. But in the last two decades it’s been better known for the art that isn’t there — half a billion dollars’ worth of masterpieces that disappeared from its walls 25 years ago.

That robbery — which included the loss of three Rembrandts, a Vermeer, a Manet and sketches by Degas — has haunted Boston, law enforcement and the art world ever since. Boston Globe reporter Stephen Kurkjian has spent the last two decades investigating the heist. He’s the author of the book Master Thieves: The Boston Gangsters Who Pulled Off the World’s Greatest Art Heist. He tells NPR’s Renee Montagne how it happened:

“Two men dressed in police uniforms rang the bell to the employees’ entrance of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum,” he says. “They showed up on the monitor screen of one of the two night watchmen who were on duty that night. … They said, ‘We’re here to investigate a disturbance,’ so he buzzed them in.

You don’t earn over half a billion dollars without making some enemies, and you don’t reach the age of 26 without making some mistakes. At the end of the day, Taylor is still a better person than most of us.

Han Van Meegeren ‘Nachtlokaal’ (Night Club) 1924.

This work is not only a nice picture of Paris’ night-life but it is also a fitting picture of Han van Meegeren’s personality. He loved wining, dining, women and smoking.

(Meegeren (Henricus van) was the most successful and the most influential art forger ever. The specialty of Meegeren was Vermeer. With his fakes after Vermeer he amassed a fortune worth more than half a billion dollars in today’s currency. After the Meegeren exposure in 1945, a wave of self-criticism surged through the world’s art museums and many an Old Master or a Vermeer disappeared from their walls.)

Jeb Bush is again in damage-control mode, this time over an off-hand remark he made about Planned Parenthood. He said at an event hosted by the Southern Baptist Convention that Planned Parenthood should be defunded and highlighted that he did so as governor of Florida.

He then added as an aside, “I’m not sure we need half-a-billion dollars for women’s health issues” — a statement Hillary Clinton and other Democrats pounced on, portraying it as a gaffe that reveals that Bush doesn’t care about women’s health. He has since said he “misspoke.”

But Bush’s comments raise questions about just how much money Planned Parenthood actually gets, what the group does with it, and whether defunding it would actually save taxpayers money.

Planned Parenthood does receive half a billion dollars a year from the government. But that’s just one data point — here’s what you need to know about where that money comes from and where it goes.

Fact Check: How Does Planned Parenthood Spend That Government Money?

When a devastating earthquake leveled Haiti in 2010, millions of people donated to the American Red Cross. The charity raised almost half a billion dollars. It was one of its most successful fundraising efforts ever.

The American Red Cross vowed to help Haitians rebuild. Yet, after five years, the Red Cross’ legacy in Haiti isn’t new roads, schools and hundreds of new homes. And it’s difficult to know where all the money went.

do you know what makes us different from animals? our ability to progress. you should really do some research because those parts that are being "sold off" are actually being donated to research as stem cells. they are being used to help try to cure diseases. the "buying" you speak of reimbursement for delivery. if people are going to have abortions, shouldn't something good come of that? people like you only choose to see one side and they always choose to demonized it.

I did not think that our progression would mean the death of 54,559,615 babies. I did not think that our need for scientific research was so great that we would consciously keep a baby intact because it’s tissue would get more money for Planned Parenthood. I did not think that a company that gets over half a billion dollars from our government would need money, but that it couldn’t just give their specimens away? If a fetus is really just a clump of cells, then why would you need to have a less “crunchy” method of abortion. I didn’t know a clump of cells had a heart, lungs, livers, a brain, and it would be considered anything other than a person. You are literally supporting a company that dismantled a living human, declared “It’s a boy!” and “5 stars!” for the quality of organs that child provided.

Nothing good comes from abortions. Nothing. We could say that slavery brought an economic growth to those who had slaves, but that doesn’t excuse the evil of slavery. That’s how it is with abortion, if we are to look at the evidence of human life in the womb, then we must look at the evil of abortion. Now, I do not think that those who have had abortions are evil, I think that it’s more heartbreaking that we just don’t value life as it should be valued. How can you look at what Planned Parenthood does and not say it’s evil? How can you look at the dismemberment of a child and say that it is for the higher good? I believe a nation that kills its young is a nation that knows no morals.

I do think that this progress with abortion makes us different than animals, I think it makes us monsters.
