Hello. Could you do jushiro number 31?

Hi Anon! Thank you for the request! I tend to struggle with writing humor or comedic scenes so I hope you enjoy this one!

Jushiro Ukitake – Prompt #31 - “You weren’t supposed to laugh!”

Walking into your shared dwelling you call out, “Jushiro, I’m home!”

Silence greets you which is odd because you know he’s home. Concerned, you hurry down the hall, open the door to the bedroom…and freeze. What…did…he…do…

You stare at each other for a moment before a distinctly un-lady like snort escapes through your nose, prompting you to cover your mouth, eyes shining with amusement you cannot hide. In front of you, your normally white haired fiancé is sporting a cute pout.

You weren’t supposed to laugh, Y/N,” he says rather sullenly.

“What color is that anyway?” you ask with a giggle nodding at his head.

He blushes red, eyes averting to the wall. “It was supposed to be black. The box said “midnight” on it, but Rangiku failed to notice the blue written beside it. She claims a sticker covered it but I have my doubts.”

Still staring at his now bluish-grey hair, you giggle again as you walk forward, wrapping your arms around his neck and drawing him to face you. “Shiro dear, what on earth possessed you to dye your hair?”

Hands on your waist, he drops his head again as he shrugs his shoulders.  “I just thought…well…you’re so much younger than me and so I thought you’d like it better if I…looked younger too since we’re getting married.”

You smile, placing a hand on his cheek and guiding his face back up to your own. Closing the distance, you kiss him gently before leaning up on tip toes so your mouth is level with his ear. “Oh Jushiro,” you purr, “You should know by now how much I love my snowwhite fox.” Planting a kiss just below his ear on his neck you pull away, taking his hand and drawing him with you.

After a beat of silence you murmur, “I wonder if Inoue-san can reject it back to its original color?”

Jushiro groans, making you laugh out loud again. Before long, he joins you; he loves your laughter, even if it is at his expense.

“The diamond in your engagement ring is fake.”

“The diamond on your engagement ring is fake.”

Amy smiled as she lifted her champagne flute to her lips. “Not if you’re not looking too close,” she murmured, the words only picked up by the comm secured in her ear.

She could hear his chuckle, but she didn’t bother to look over to where he had his back to her. She also didn’t make eye contact with Artemis who was sporting dark hair courtesy of Amy’s ex-girlfriend’s magic.

If all went according to plan, their op would go off without a hitch, but considering their luck, Amy wasn’t exactly hoping for the best, rather expecting the worst.

Amy tossed a loose curl over her shoulder. The red dress drew attention and she’d turned her hair red to match the occasion, she drew eyes, which was rather the point. Amy was the bait, after all.

“Target heading your way,” Artemis’ murmur came softly.

“KF should already be inside,” Dick hummed and Amy took what appeared to be a cursory sip of the champagne, but she never drank on ops.

Then she turned and plastered a smile on her face as the target approached.
