hahaha i love my main character

2

My entries for @voltageparty‘s design contest! I would have done only one, but I really love the concepts of both Shingen and Kenshin to pick just one :’3

For Kenshin, I applied his iconic, historical (mostly) white garb and the cherry blossoms that plays a key role in his main story. I made her to look absolutely feminine and “goddess-like” to match her lord counterpart. But underneath it, of course, is a woman who can and will fight for the sake of those she vowed to protect.

For Shingen, I knew I had to have her exude a “powerful woman” aura because she’s, of course, the Tigress of Kai. She had to be mature, alluring but also imposing with a ferocity that matches her lord counterpart. Her inner robe is an interpretation of “dyed in crimson, dusted with peonies” kimono that Shingen gave to the mc in his main story. She just had to have fur that I refused to put on as a headdress, because my goal for her is to look like the lady of the alpha male who wears the glorious furry headdress hahaha. It’s a shoutout to Shingen’s old battle sprite besides. I also added a bit of allegory in there, which is the plum blossom hairpiece. Plum blossoms symbolize the coming of spring (kind of a bad news for Shingen somewhat) but it also symbolizes the spirit of health and new beginnings. A ray of hope in the coming of spring, if you will.

Hope you like them!

And by the way, I follow the Voltage account on my main blog, as this is my side blog where I put my art on!

feysandsmut  asked:

strawberry tea, butter tea and jasmine tea 💕

Thank you Jay!  @feysandsmut 💜💜💜💜💜💜

Strawberry tea: Tell me about your first kiss, if you had one.

Okay, so my first kiss was when I was nine.. We’re talking about like an innocent peck, not like french kiss, because oh boi that’s another story, and technically he was my first boyfriend and we were talking about getting married and we were at school during lunch, hiding from our other friends, because we wanted privacy and stuff, so we went behind the theater and he asked me if he could kiss me (real gentleman) and I said yes, but before we could kiss our friends found us and we were like “run” so we started running and we found a quiet place behind the sophomores’ classrooms, and we he just grabbed my hand pull me closer and we kissed. I remember I didn’t know what to do with my other hand so I sort of hugged him, but like half hug.

Butter tea: Show / Tell me about one thing i your room you find awesome.

I’ve always loved history, specially when powerful women are the main characters, or pivotal points. Anne Boleyn was one of my early obsessions so when I went to the Tower of London four years ago and I saw this beauty I just had to buy it! It was a bit expensive for a souvenir, but meh I don’t regret it a single bit!

Jasmin tea: Can you draw / paint? Wanna show me something?

LOL NOT EVEN IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT! I used to be good or decent, but without practice I suck now hahaha still I want to start painting again.. I love abstract thing with spatulas and sponges and soft colours.

“Hahaha… Finally, I get to kill a Schnee.”

Sorry, but unlike Neo I do not doubt Weiss’ ability to defeat you. Masked, nameless White Fang bruiser with a chainsaw? My money is on a main character here.

That leaves Blake, running forward on her own now…

Whoa now! Hello! Looks like that dust-infused ammo Weiss recently handed to Blake is doing more than augmenting bullets. It’s actively changing her Semblance!

A great start to this fight. But something tells me Roman is a fast learner.

Also, I really love that the first time we see Blake use her Semblance after complaining that she only uses it to run… we see her actually use it to run straight at her foe. That’s nice.

Top 15 reads of 2014

2014 had been my breakthrough in ‘reading’, I personally denote that. Because I am really a lazy-ass reader as the 2014 enters, but I was amazed by myself that I had read If I Stay for like two days—which is not normal to me—then it was followed by Thirteen Reasons Why, then If I Stay’s sequel Where She Went. Then I know I’m latching on to books.

These books are the books that I had read in 2014, not the books published in 2014. Since I’m just making a debut in the world of books, I might read some books that were published a long time ago.

This list is order-sensitive. So what goes in the top is my most favorite read of 2014.

14. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

This book had sent me into a screeching level. I just shouted when I realized the things hadn’t turned out the way I thought they would be. I was hooked by the amazing and catchy premise of it so I picked it up for a read, and I didn’t really regretted it! Its sequel, PS, I Still Love You, is one of my anticipated releases of next year. I just can’t get enough of this thing! I had read books of Jenny Han, and for me, this is the greatest among them all.

14. Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick

I read this in the late 2014, so it has the tiniest chance of being included here in my favorite reads, and who knows? I loved Leonard Peacock, I love how the way he thinks, it’s just so inclined in the reality. I love how he stood up for his decisions, and how he changed the world. This book really made me stunned on the lowest level, and I loved this. LP will always be on my heart. The thing I hate the most about this is that the ending is badly abrupt. I hate abrupt endings. Real talk.

13. Every Day by David Levithan

David Levithan never fails to write amazing plotlines, connections, and characters. The contemporary world is not that diverse, but David Levithan makes a difference. His characters are diverse and profound that you need second guessing and reading in order to absorb what he is trying to say. I love A. I love Rhiannon. I love every one in this book. This book shows the different sides of the world we live in. Too bad I’d read so much greater books than this this year, but it would’ve topped the charts. Another Day, its sequel, will be coming out next year and is one of my most-anticipated books next year.

12. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Scarlet, the second installment of the Lunar Chronicles, is also included here. I loved Scarlet more than Cinder, the first in the series, because I think Scarlet had have much more feelings than Cinder. Scarlet is such a feels-wrecker. I never knew how can I contain my feelings. Real talk: I had read this I classes because I just couldn’t get enough of this. Wolf and Scarlet make a great love team! They’re one of mt OTP’s. Haha.

11. Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

Amy and Roger had traveled America. And I loved it! It’s like I had also traveled with them. I knew the loneliest highway in America, and I knew so much about Yosemite Park, I loved this book so much. I was really doubtful at first because I think this wouldn’t cut my favorites, but I was wrong. I was just so much wrong. This is good. I think I have a thing in road tours by now. Looking forward for Second Chance Summer and Since You’ve Been Gone!

10. The DUFF by Kody Keplinger

This novel made me cry. Literally. Like it was brown out in our place and I decided to read it in my tablet and I cried. I also finished it on that one sitting because this is sooo good. Is that convincing? Haha. This has family, friendships, and everything in it. This is a total package. Too bad the movie was wrecked. Ugh. They really stirred a good novel badly. Hail, Kody Keplinger!

9. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

This is my first read of one of the leading queens of contemporary–Rainbow Rowell. And I find it cute and loveable. Eleanor and Park are like oil and water, that they aren’t made for together, but still find a way. But nooo…at the time I was deeply in love with the two of them and the story and everything, ugh. I don’t want to spoil you guys, even though I know you’ve read this already, But I was painfully hurt when I read the ending. They should be in ecstasy. But whatever, I love Rainbow and her loveable characters so much.

8. Looking for Alaska by John Green

I’ve read all of John Green’s books this year, but this is the only one who made the cut. I love the characters–Alaska, Miles, the Colonel, and Takumi, I love them all–their gang, their pranks, their hanging-outs, and I hated this book so much! The ‘before’ and 'after’ thing! It’s like 'ugh’. I was crying. But anyway, I love the book. I like how the characters developed. The story overall, and everything. Preach!

7. Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige

This is my first fantasy novel to be read this year and I was also doubtful in reading this. But hell yeah, I’ve finished this for two or three days! I was totally in love with this and Dorothy and no, I realized that you shouldn’t really be attached to a fictional character because you will cry a lot of tears and your heart will be wretched by the author. I just hate Paige. Hahahaha. She’s so awesome in writing these type of things. I was amazed how many debut novels were in here right now. Since maybe I was also a debutant in reading this year? Maybe. maybe not. Loved this.

6. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Cute. Romance. Friendship. Family. Heartbreaks. CUTE again. This is so much of a roller-coaster ride! Shit. Shitshitshit. I cannot get enough of this book. But, sad to say, this is the best of the series. May or may not be, Lola and Isla isn’t that compelling to me unlike this one. I love Stephanie Perkins for writing this book!

5. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

This is one of the most compelling books I’ve ever read. I think this has changed some principles I had. I love this book. I love the characters, Sam? I think. Sorry if I forgot. I’d read this back in July or August so it’s really hard to wrap up characters. But this stands alone, and I love it. A powerful book, you guys better read this if you haven’t. This will change your view of the world. Seven days. Seven chapters. You’ll never regret reading it.

4. Wonder by RJ Palacio

I’ve read this just this December, I was late in being informed that this was an amazing book. Like, you just cannot dodge the message this wants to tell us. This will also change the way you view the world just like BIF, I love Auggie, his strength, his everything. I love how he thinks about not caring and giving a f*** to others. I love his courage. I want that one. This had struck me to my innermost self. I really, really and highly recommend this to everyone! No matter what your age, your genre, and your status. This has a general message. And I want you to read this to find it out.

3. The Realm of Possibility by David Levithan

I’ve read this on January and it had stayed for like seven or eight months being my favorite. It was then replaced by Falling Into Place so it ranked my second, then Falling Into Place was replaced by Cress, so it falls down in third. I just have this thing in charts so I keep track of my books’ reads, so I can handle my own chart. It was so good to have something like that. TROP is a novel about seventeen different students having different life problems and POV’s, it was so great. Especially that it was written in poetry or in verses, I really do have a thing in poems, you know. That’s why I’d loved it. Also, the connections were so much amazing and beautiful! This is a short read that I finished for just one sitting. I don’t know what pushed me to read this one morning–at 6AM, I started reading this and it was so much fun!

2. Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang

This is like a mash-up of all the books I ’d read this year–If I Stay, 13 Reasons Why, and Before I Fall (but the first two books didn’t made it to the cut). It was so awesome! Liz, and everyone in the gang is so much loveable. I love how the story was being told. 80+ chapters but it seems so much hanging. A wonderful debut from a teenager, and I loved it. I hope she make so much more novels like this. It is very compelling. I loved this. HOW MANY TIMES DID I SAY 'I LOVE THIS’? Ugh. 'Cause it’s real. It was hard not to love. Better read this guys. It will make you cry, laugh, shout, and everything.

1. Cress by Marissa Meyer

This is the third installment in the Lunar Chronicles and this is the best book by far, Meyer will release two more books–Fairest and Winter--next year which are two of my most anticipated releases of 2015. I didn’t expect that this will put me in a super roller coaster ride of emotions. Real talk: I CRIED IN THIS. It was like reading this after I woke up (straight from stretching then grabbing my copy and reading this) then I cried when ugh, I can’t say it. This also made me swoon because of the OTP’s in here. Thorne and Cress have a spark, guys. They really have. And Wolf. Shit. He’s more heroic and fantastic and awesome than ever! And Kai, it was so much amazing. And Scarlet and Winter’s appearance in the last few chapters, the whole book is awesome! Meyer, you have my vows. You topped my favorites list (and you have two entries), and I want to greet you–and myself–that we both made it! And please, don’t kill any of the six main characters, it’s just that I love them so much. Pleaaaase.

Happy 2015 guys! Keep track of your reads so that you can see who’s topping the charts! Hahaha. Have an awesome New Year!

Kamigami no Asobi

And I’m back! With all the holidays we’ve been having I haven’t had much of a chance to get to posting but I’m back now and ready to rock!

So this is the show that’s been occupying my time recently and I specifically chose it because nothing beats a good reverse harem now and then. I think the last one I wrote about was probably BroCon, so I figure it couldn’t hurt to put up a post about this bunch of super good-looking guys going after/befriending that one girl. I have to hand it to these people that make these reverse harem animes because I’m not sure about the rest of you (and I’m sure I must have said this before) but female leads can so easily become the most annoying characters you have ever come across if their character is portrayed in this weak/wishy-washy way. I know a lot of people will probably think I’m crazy when I say this, but as big of a hit as “Kimi ni Todoke” was, the female lead, Sawako, almost drove me around the bend by the end of the 2nd season. Don’t get me wrong though - I did quite like that show and it had some awesome funny moments, but that’s a post for another time.. Anyway, my point here is that most of the reverse harem animes I’ve watched have female leads that are sweet, honest, kind, caring and genuine, maintaining this personality throughout and I think this is ideal for this kind of show.

Now.. Enough about the girls, I say.. Let’s get to what this anime is about (besides insanely hot guys).. So, in this anime, Zeus (the major god of all gods) decides that some of the gods (Greek, Japanese and Norse) are not up to scratch and that they’ve lost touch with humanity. To this end, he decides that these gods need to be taught a lesson… literally (although it still baffles me how he manages to control gods from other mythologies when he himself is Greek - but let’s not dwell too much on it for now). He creates a school for these gods in order for them to learn about humans and what it is to be human but strips them of their powers until they are able to successfully graduate from the school - if they don’t graduate, they will remain trapped in that “garden” (a.k.a alternative dimension) for all eternity.

A bit harsh, but Zeus is a bit of an extremist that way. Now, it’s no use having a school about humans without having at least one human there. Enter Yui Kusanagi - a Japanese high school girl who, on the last day of school, is whisked away to this alternative dimension in order to be the “human” that these gods will learn from.. The show, in time-honoured, reverse-harem tradition, then revolves around our girl, Yui, getting to know each of these gods whilst adjusting to her new life here. Each of the gods, in turn, share a bit of themselves, their pasts, likes, dislikes etc. with her and deepen the bonds between them. But of course, this all helps with their assignment of getting to know about what it is to be human. Convenient right? There is a bit of a plot twist near the end, but I’m not about to give that away.. You’ll just have to watch these hot guys for yourself to find out - what a shame.. Hahaha! Yeah right! You know you’re going to love every minute as much as I did..

As is my style, a rundown of the characters is in order here - you know, ‘cos we need to know about the different mythologies right? ;) So without further adieu (and don’t worry - I’m always thorough, so I’ll be covering all our characters of interest here)…

Yui Kusanagi (Human)

Our main girl who gets whisked away to this strange island and is tasked with the job of teaching these gods about humanity. Hand-picked by Zeus for the task, she is initially pretty overwhelmed but decides to make the best of it and tries to get everyone to graduate so that everyone can go back to the places they came from and go back to their normal lives. She’s quite open, honest, caring, somewhat outspoken and will go to bat and defend the boys when she feels strongly. She’s determined and will not be dissuaded from reaching each of the gods and trying to get them to open up a bit. This obviously comes from a place of genuine care and is not just because she wants to graduate asap. She’s also rather talented in kendo and swordplay and is quite an active person. The people tasked to help her with her job is Thoth Caduceus (the most intimidating teacher ever!) and her dorm companion is a doll named Melissa that she vents to from time to time. Although she tries to keep it strictly friends, the guys can’t help but like her - some of them going to some pretty big extremes for her.

Apollon Agana Belea (Greek god of the sun)

Just like his name, he is bright, light and cheerful and always has a smile on his face (unless he’s facing off with his father Zeus). He has a rather innocent personality and is also open and honest with everyone, which is why he quickly gets the popularity vote and his chosen to be the student council president. It’s this openness and honesty that allows him to be quite straightforward with Yui about his feelings toward her from the start, but he never means any harm by it and is quite respectful with her and protective of his “fairy”. Yui and Apollon have similar personalities in this regard, which is why they get along quite well as friends. His lack of experience with humans shows the most though because he is always misinterpreting human customs, usually with a pretty hilarious result! Just wait until you see Santa! Lol! If you like your guys happy and carefree, then Apollon would definitely be ideal for you!

.

Tsukito Totsuka (Japanese god of the moon)

I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that the personalities of the gods reflect their particular gift, which is why it’s understandable that Tsukito has this whimsical, dreamy, almost mysterious kind of aura around him - kind of like when you look at the moon and wonder what’s up there… A quiet type, Tsukito follows things by the book to a fault, referring to the things he does as “missions” and seeming to take no real pleasure from his experiences. He’s the one that has the hardest time trying to understand what it is to be human because he has done nothing but stare at the moon for his entire life and has never had reason to do anything else. He finds it difficult to connect but does try his best to fulfill the missions asked of him. Even when he spends the day with Yui, he never makes a pass at her and just goes about things in this super-logical way. That said, he’s not cold per se, he’s just a bit off-beat. If you like a bit of challenge then Tsukito would probably be best for you and I get the feeling that if you were the one person lucky enough to reach him, that you’d never have to worry about anyone taking him from you…

.

Balder Hringhorni (Norse god of light)

Converse to Tsukito, you would most definitely have to worry about competition in the form of men, women, animals, plants, nature…everything!! Balder is a particularly blessed god where all of creation loves him and nothing can ever harm him (except himself - he has a tendency to fall over a lot - rather cute really).. He is the most popular of all the gods with the students and is often treated like a celebrity, with his long, flowing hair and gentle smile. Even though this is the case, he’s actually rather lonely because of this “fake love”, preferring to spend his time with those that see him for who he is, especially Loki. Although he has a very sweet, charming, supportive personality, he also has a much darker side to him that is rarely seen. He has a jealous streak a mile wide (something you see from the get-go if you’re watching closely) and can be rather possessive -  something we see when it comes to Yui in particular. If you like your guys sweet, considerate with a bit of a possessive/jealous/dangerous streak then Balder is the type I think you’d like..

.

.

.

Hades Aidoneus (Greek god of the underworld)

Being in charge of the underworld one can expect this particular god to come with a lot of hang-ups, his main being that everyone should stay away from him because he is cursed with misfortune and will bring misery to everyone around him. Although these exclamations of “stay away!” are rather amusing at first, eventually you realise that this holds more sadness than anything else. Because he is cursed with a grudge that the dead hold against him, he really does bring misfortune, so he isolates himself and makes himself seem unapproachable and almost scary so that those around him can be happy without having his misery ruin their lives. Hades is actually the uncle of both Apollon and Dionysus, and is the brother of Zeus, so he sometimes takes on a little bit of a protective role among the rest of the gods. Although he’s rather stoic and sullen, he does have a gentler side and has a particular love of strawberries, rice cakes and astronomy. Almost a tsundere type (although he does it for a really good reason), if you like your guys a bit solemn and are just aching to be the ray of sunshine in his life, then Hades is where it’s at.

.

.

.

.

.

Takeru Totsuka (Japanese god of the sea)

Although he is a god that is associated with water, Takeru has a rather fiery personality and is usually at odds with Yui initially and has little interest in playing nice, getting along and attending classes with the others, preferring to remain close to his brother Tsukito. It takes him a bit of time to warm up (not unlike the sea I guess) but once you have his respect, you reap all the benefits of having someone like him around. He has a rather hard edge and doesn’t express himself in the nicest of ways but he means well and will always protect those that are important to him - to the point of breaking shackles in order to do so. Like Yui, he also has a love for swordplay/kendo and is always maintaining his fitness - something that they bond over, in addition to the 2 of them being of Japanese origin. Takeru really does have some tsundere in him because although he has a brash personality and can be intimidating in that regard, he can let his guard down from time to time, just long enough to see his true feelings. If you like fit, active, outspoken and typically lively guys who reserve their softer side just for a select few to see, then Takeru would be the best choice.

.

Loki Laevatein (Norse god of fire)

Just going on the reputation Loki has, one immediately knows that this guys is all about mischief! If the word “asobi” in the title applies to anyone, it has to be Loki. Always playing pranks and getting up to no good, he never gives up and opportunity to stir the pot while trying to claim the glory for himself, e.g. the lovers rings and the Cinderella ad-lib play come to mind.. Like Takeru, he takes forever to come around to tolerating (let alone liking) Yui and at some point you start to wonder if you’ve stepped into a boys love anime. He is best friends with Balder and usually tries to get between Balder and Yui, which raises the question as to exactly how close he wants to be to Balder (however this shouldn’t really be too surprising given that gods have actually fallen in love with men in the stories, e.g. Apollo fell in love with Hyacinthus). But I digress.. Although Loki seems totally suspicious sometimes, he has good reason for what he does and can be serious when he needs to be. A self-proclaimed “liar”, it can take some time and patience to tolerate his antics, but once you get past it you realise that he actually very genuine with a strong sense of loyalty to his friends - usually taking on heavy burdens and hiding/distracting from it under the guise of a joke/prank/smile. Loki is a handful at times but if you can see past it to the real him and the way he values his partnerships above all else, then you may quite like him.

.

.

.

.

Thor Megingjard (Norse god of thunder)

Completing the Norse trio, Thor keeps a watch over both Balder and Loki and has done so ever since the three were small, realising that Balder and Loki share a certain bond. He has a bit of a stiff manner about him (monotone voice, expressionless face) that comes across as a bit uninviting. But he doesn’t mean anything bad by it - that’s just the way he is. Rather matter of fact, logical, dependable and straightforward he is like a balancing force for the three gods with his calm personality and is usually found hanging around with Loki in the “going home club”. Want to know what I’m talking about? Watch the show! If you like that no-nonsense type who will be a voice of reason and offer you support, then pick Thor…

Dionysus Thyrsos (Greek god of wine and merry-making)

Just like his description suggests, Dionysus approaches life with a positive, carefree attitude and just wants to enjoy his time - making merry, as it were. He doesn’t stress about much and can be a bit oblivious at times, e.g. proclaiming to have a blank notebook (right before exams are set to take place) with a smile on his face.. He’s laid-back (borderline lazy when it comes to doing things he’s not really interested in) but actually rather industrious with a very green thumb - growing flowers and fruits (especially grapes) and making juice from these - although sometimes I get the feeling that’s he actually making wine. As Apollo’s brother and Hades nephew, he rounds out the Greek gods, lending his support to them and others when they need it. If you’re looking for someone uncomplicated, that enjoys life to the full and grabs opportunities for fun/happiness wherever it may be, then I think you’d have a lot of good times with Dionysus.

.

.

Thoth Caduceus (Egyptian god of knowledge)

The most intimidating teacher you will ever come across, Thoth (although he’s rather good-looking with that tan skin, light hair and the monocle) is entrusted with educating the other gods about humanity and is the person appointed to help Yui with her task. All good and well in theory but he’s actually rather difficult to approach and isn’t really very helpful, usually complaining that this isn’t his problem and he’s not really concerned. And may the gods help you if you show no interest in his classes, slack off or play games. He’s like that evil lecturer you had in undergrad that will just as quickly walk out of the classroom if you don’t pay attention. However, when he requires something to be done, he has no problem letting Yui know and has this habit of always getting Yui up against a wall and slamming a hand next to her head (you know the pose). Even when he shows a “softer” side, he does it in the harshest manner. He has that scary, sexy appeal so if you think you can handle it and you’d like to be disciplined and kept after school (yes - I totally went there), then Thoth could probably put you in your place.

.

.

.

.

Zeus Keraunos (Greek god of sky and thunder)

The father of both Apollon and Dionysus and brother to Hades, Zeus comes across as a bit of an ass in this show. A completely over-inflated sense of self (to be so arrogant as to imprison gods from not only his origin but from other nationalities), he believes that this is the only way to achieve the goal of getting the gods to understand humanity. That arrogance can be his downfall though, as Hades so elegantly proves at one point. Serving as the main “antagonist” here, the rest of our main characters band together to try and overcome the challenges Zeus sets before them (including changing seasons at a moments notice) to try and graduate and escape the shackles he’s placed on them (to restrain their powers) and to escape from the garden he has created. However, like any father, even though the methods may be questionable, there is always a reason for his actions. If you’re looking for that powerful, dominating, older-guy type then Zeus is your ideal match.

.

Anubis Ma'at (Egyptian god of the dead)

Funnily enough, even though Kaji Yuuki gets credited for voicing this role, he doesn’t actually say that much! Lol! That aside, Anubis is actually rather more adorable than hot - always getting into some kind of mischief whenever he’s away from Thoth-sama’s side. The most notable being his “role” in the Cinderella incident! Anubis doesn’t interact with the others much (unless he’s being chased down by Dionysus) and is usually seen wandering around in the background of off by himself in the garden somewhere - probably while Thoth tends to his classes. Being of the same descent, it’s obvious that Thoth and Anubis share a bond and in one of the most adorable ending scenes, Thoth agrees to play with Anubis, much to his delight.. If you’re looking for the ultimate “quiet type” (he won’t say much else but “balu-balu”) and perhaps want to look after someone, then I think Anubis would be a good fit for you!

.

Melissa (Doll)

Oh Melissa.. Even though this doll has a quintessentially english name, this doll is actually a “guy” for all intents and purposes. He serves as Yui’s companion and confidant since she’s all alone in another dorm come evening time. A gift from Zeus (and one of his creations), Melissa tries to offer Yui advice whenever she needs it (and sometimes even when she doesn’t) and has quite a laidback approach to most of the situations that trouble her, fully trusting that things will work out in the end and that she shouldn’t agonize over things so much. Sometimes his advice is helpful, other times it can be a bit off the mark but he means well and if usually just trying to look out for her in the only way he can - being a doll and what not. He has a bit of a “rough around the edges”/“street smart” kind of way of speaking and although Melissa might not be ideal in terms of wanting to find a hot date, he would probably make a nice partner considering his laidback vibe and his “don’t stress” approach to life.

.

The one thing that has to be said for this reverse harem is that, unlike others I’ve watched, this one seems to have a thing about showing skin! I have never seen so many near-naked anime characters in my life! What is up with that? Not that it’s a bad thing by any means, but my eyes almost fell out of my head when they decided they would go swimming at the beach! Yikes! Not to mention that even the ending theme song has these guys in some super suggestive half-naked poses.. Yeesh.. Talk about turning up the heat on the sex appeal there.. Commence eye candy parade!

.

.

.

Admittedly, I did some checking and it turns out that this show is made by the same people that made Brothers Conflict, i.e. Brain’s Base, which automatically means that you’re in excellent hands. Some of the voice actors used here have also appeared in BroCon (such as Ono Daisuke, Kamiya Hiroshi, Hosoya Yoshimasa and Kaji Yuuki) and then we have some of my/our other regular favourites. That kind of line up is a no-brainer in my mind and there is always additional content that you can enjoy too - like the opening and ending themes which are sung by our main 6 characters, as well as bonus cds!

Although this show has the normal “girl surrounded by hot dudes” theme, unlike BroCon where pretty much every dude has his eye on the main girl as a suitable companion, in this reverse-harem most of the guys look to Yui as a friend first which kind of reflects that fact that they are indeed gods. However, mythology is much more flexible and it wasn’t unheard of for gods to fall in love with humans and interact with them. To this end, even though all of them see Yui as a friend, there are those with some other intentions toward her - some choosing to keep it under wraps and other being pretty open about it. Watching this show also has the side effect of wanting to make you go look up a bit about the various mythologies and like I said at the beginning - it’s totally educational too, which means you should never feel guilty for watching it! Lol!

Kamigami has a bit of comedy and romance and explores the theme of friendship more than anything else. Besides the hot dudes, the storylines were fun and sometimes a little deep which gave it a nice balance. The “goal” of having this school, i.e. graduating, serves as the thread that ties the stories together and allows each of the characters and the storyline to develop as the show goes along and there is also a nice surprise twist at the end too! Intrigued by that last bit? Well then, I suggest that you take a ride on a Pegasus, head on over to the garden and join the boys (and girl) to see what games the gods are getting up to in Kamigami no Asobi!

Oooo.. i’m finally gonna be joining the tabletop RP group with @arkilliandragon this evening. :)  It’s the Pulp Universe game - I didn’t really know about it before, but it’s like a mixture between Indiana Jones, the original Mummy movies, and Disney’s Atlantis.. which are all so awesome.

My character’s a 190cm (6′2′’) tall police woman called Rosemary Darling, who totally kicks ass (her main weapon’s brass knuckles), but also loves her dolls and romance novels.

OMG, I am sssoo excited!!! :)

Hopefully i’ll have time to do some sketches of her later.

14 and 34!

14. The most unexpected twist in your legacy?

This is a toughie!!! So far, I would say probably… Sonia breaking up with Elliot after finding out he cheated like years ago?? I think that surprised some people lol. Tbh tho, I am so bad with twists in my legacy, bc I have a tendency to give everything away!! hahaha. Oh!! Maybe Julian’s backstory, with Corrina? I like to think that was a pretty good twist :) Hopefully more are to come! ;)

34. The most unique sim?

Most unique… I’d have to say probably Colby. She’s got an interesting past, and a unique approach to life. She’s just a side character, so sadly, her story doesn’t get much screen time :( I might have to do a lil special, where I talk about her more, because I honestly love her. If we’re talking mains tho, I’d say maybe Sonia? lol. She’s just a little less conventional. Elliot is classic Douchebag ™ lmao and Clem, despite her wild side, is a pretty traditional gal :’)

Thanks for asking! :D This was fun! :)

Hey all! Sorry for the dead air, I’ve been busy or just more active on twitter but I have art again!

Because I’ve fallen so deeply into the Overwatch scene (and loving every minute of it, hello from a Junkrat+McCree main) I thought hey, why not make more merch for it! I need to update my stock anyway and I love making buttons so here’s a WIP of the entire cast thus far! Can’t wait to add Sombra eventually, ah hahaha~

PS: Only characters that get young versions of themselves are Morrison, Reyes, Ana and Genji. Hanzo does not because his doesn’t have as much significance story wise as the others, sorry!

I just wanted to say that I love Lawyered so much!! I just got accepted into law school & so far everything you've said about law school/law firms/lawyers has rung so true hahaha. I love the fact that the main character is in law school & has something going for herself! I'm heartbroken because of the last chapter haha but I'm so ready to read more of you're incredible story!! X

Ahh! Thank you for your kind words! I’m not sure if my readers have realized, but I am actually a practicing attorney. I started writing this fic while I was still in law school and try to base a lot of what she endures in her life based on the shared experience of many students.

It was largely slow-going because, as you totally know, there isn’t much free time to write fic when you’re in law school. However, I sometimes write these chapters now to help clear my head of all legalese and get into that creative mode I enjoy.

I know I’m evil for the last chapter, but I promise the next one will be worth the wait. :D

POKEMON AU!!!!!  (that I’m still sketching out and stuff haha)

Kenma’s main/first pkmn is Abra (THINK ABOUT LITTLE 10 YEAR OLD KENMA MEETING ABRA OK I HAVE FEELINGS)

Kuroo is a very loving trainer who’s always like “I’M SO PROUD OF YOU BBY ILU” after every battle

Hinata aspiring to be the best bird trainer ever

I have more ideas for other characters but I can’t draw as fast as my mind works hahaha… Also there’s a comic in progress?! Aaaand yeah. I fucking love Pokemon ok this has been with me my entire life /)v(\

Quick sketches of my main five, I’m trying to be consistent with them! And I also needed references of their outfits. Their clothes sort of represent their occupations/status, but I haven’t really worked that out yet. |:D;;;
But it’s obvious who the “leader” is.

Also I found that font online, and I love it and it’s sort of what I envisioned their written language to look like. BUT, I’m also worried it might be a font used elsewhere/easily recognizable and I look like a dork using it for my own characters hahaha. I’ll make my own custom font someday… :’D

Also the text does actually say things, it’s not just gibberish haha.

“Sherlock’s ‘I love you’ was forced because Molly was going to die. It isn’t real.”

Oh yes, because, of course, the MAIN VILLAIN, whose expertise is emotional and psychological manipulation to the highest degree, chose random friend to taunt the main character with (was Una Stubbs down with the flu or some shit that day?). Comon, it’s not like it’s the SERIES FINALE, which is rumored to even be the FINAL SERIES. Why oh why get the main character, who was always afraid of sentiment, to confess “I love you” to this one female character they have teased him with all along, and have him face deeper emotional turmoil at the thought of loving someone will put that person in danger, will probably destroy them both, and will make main character weak, when you can, I don’t know, just get that random character to force main character to say “I love you” for some cheap thrill of a bomb going off. Repercussions? Pshaw! No big deal, like woah now, we’re not trying to do anything special here! Don’t worry kids, he doesn’t mean it at all. Nothing to see here. Move along. All in a day’s work. Character motivation? Storytelling? Drama? Character Growth? They can all kiss my ass. Like who wants all that intense shit anyway amirite?

I hope you don't mind me asking but I was wondering if you're a multi-shipper for Free!? I think (from your mot recent art piece) you ship RIn and Haru, but do you ship them with anyone else too?

yeah, actually when it comes to free! I ship basically EVERYTHING

which once got me a very vivid nsfw dream involving basically everyone from the main characters with everyone and it was hella gorgeous not gonna lie; you should have seen what rei and nagisa were doing….hahaha..ha…hentaaaaaaaaaai

sorry I got carried away..no, but seriously, I think every Free! ship is a cute ship:D my personal favourites are rinharu and nagirei and captaingou but once I think about makorin or makoharu or reirin or nitorin…agh, I love everything.

Okay world, let’s sit down and discuss one of my favorite series–it’s relatively new, only has two books published so far, and the author has promised to break that pesky Dystopian-type trilogy the YA genre has fallen prey to. The series itself is titled Penryn & the End of Days, but most would probably recognize the series by the titles of the first two books: Angelfall and World After. I could literally go on and on about why you should read (or attempt to read) these books, but I’ll narrow it down to a few bullet points:

  • The author, Susan Ee, is a kick ass WoC who began with the series by self-publishing the first book, and it’s been steadily gaining popularity ever since its publication. (P.S. I had a full-fledged meltdown when she accepted my friend request on goodreads).
  • The protagonist is a teenage girl who literally takes shit off of NO ONE. She’s honed her self-defense skills, is fiercely protective of her younger sister in particular, isn’t afraid to speak her mind, is tough as nails, and is brave and reckless in a way that gets me worked up super easily.
  • The protagonist’s younger sister is a disabled girl who ends up being SUPER important and SUPER fucking amazing.
  • The protagonist’s mother suffers from a mental illness, and the story explains the estranged mother x daughter relationship that results, and how the protagonist is becoming more welcoming towards her mother as she begins to grow and learn more about her mother and start to slowly accept things she had otherwise been hardened against.
  • It takes place in a post-apocalyptic California that also incorporates fantasy and folklore and it’s just SO COMPELLING TO READ?
  • The protagonist’s love interest is described as being a PoC, which I personally think we never see enough of in YA lit!
  • ALSO THE PROTAGONIST’S LOVE INTEREST IS LITERALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS EVER HAHAHA BYE. He’s sarcastic, dynamic, jaded, and experiences such growth and compassion within the span of two books alone that it makes me want to cry.
  • The romance doesn’t just spring out of nowhere after like ten minutes of knowing each other, and it’s not even the forefront of the story. It’s there, and it plays a great role, but the story focuses more on the world around them and the strength and growth of the main female, which I love. (Also, if you love romances that are kind of love-at-first-sight, that’s totally fine, of course; when I’m reading, though, they aren’t usually my thing. I prefer build-ups and stuff.)
  • I mean, the protagonist pretty much attempts to blackmail a supernatural being. Fearless as hell tbh.
  • The story doesn’t feel rushed or completely BS'ed. It feels like Susan Ee is building up to something great and magnificent; there’s so many twists and turns that I gobbled these books up in less than a day each.
  • One of the passages in Angelfall is literally so important to me that I have it bookmarked so that I can go back and read it whenever I want.
  • A lot of people think “ugh, a story about angels/archangels, how stereotypical can it get?” I mean, that’s kind of why I avoided a lot of angel stories…from what I’ve heard, YA lit doesn’t churn out very many decent adaptations of angel-based books. But this series is just so GOOD? It’s got corruption and light vs. dark and incorporates the greed and sinister ways of big politics within the angels and archangels. In many ways, the superiority complex of the angels over humanity can reflect into a lot of modern day society.
  • There have been whispers of a possible film adaptation (please).
  • It’s just really good, I’m sorry. I hear a lot of people asking for YA lit recs, and I’m pretty picky about YA lit these days, so for me to find a series like this is A M A Z I N G. I got one of my best friends into the series and now she’s fallen into the rabbit hole.
  • Damn it I wanna go reread them now.

What is your favorite thing about Supernatural?

The characters, their personalities, the storylines, and the actors/actresses they cast. So pretty much everything hahaha. I think the actors fit the characters so well and can portray them so well and they are so funny and entertaining at the same time! The writers are amazing! The twists and turns they come up with keep me on the edge of my chair! I love the characters and how much we get to know them through the show. I could go on foreverrr but those are some of the main reasons! ♥
