hadeeth

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“I guarantee a house in Paradise for one who gives up arguing, even if he is right; and a house in the middle of Paradise for one who abandons lying even when joking; and a house in the highest part of Paradise for one who makes his character excellent.”

[Abu Dawud]

“O Allah! I ask You [to enable me] to do good deeds, to avoid evil deeds, to love the poor, and [I ask You] to forgive me and to have mercy on me. And if You want to try people, then take me to You [i.e., cause me to die] untried. And I ask You for Your Love, the love of those who love You, and the love of a deed that gets me closer to Your Love.”

Narrated `Adi bin Hatim:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Protect yourself from the Fire.” He then turned his face aside (as if he were looking at it) and said again, “Protect yourself from the Fire,” and then turned his face aside (as if he were looking at it), and he said so for the third time till we thought he was looking at it. He then said, “Protect yourselves from the Fire, even if with one half of a date and he who hasn’t got even this, (should do so) by (saying) a good, pleasant word.’

sahih al-bukhari

don’t judge me | only Allah can judge?
  1. Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما: “If we did not see a person at Fajr and ‘Ishā prayers, we would think badly of him.”
  2. Narrated `Umar bin Al-Khattab: People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine Inspiration during the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger ﷺ but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). Now we judge you by the deeds you practice publicly, so we will trust and favor the one who does good deeds in front of us, and we will not call him to account about what he is really doing in secret, for Allah will judge him for that; but we will not trust or believe the one who presents to us with an evil deed even if he claims that his intentions were good.

    Sahih al-Bukhari #2641
  3. Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is unable to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest form of Faith.”

    Saheeh Muslim, 40 Hadeeth Nawawee

Ask the moon why it weeps at night,
And she will tell you,
“Because i’m separated from the sun.”

So what of the servant,
when the King of the Kings descends and calls out but finds His slave to be asleep?

The heavens and the earth weep for him.

—

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

“The Lord descends every night to the lowest heaven when one-third of the night remains and says: ‘Who will call upon Me, that I may answer Him? Who will ask of Me, that I may give him? Who will seek My forgiveness, that I may forgive him?’”

[Bukhari]

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “It is enough for a man to prove himself a liar when he goes on narrating whatever he hears.”

Sahih Muslim

is it a trial or a blessing?

It was narrated that Jābir (radi Allahu anhu) said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “On the Day of Resurrection, those who had suffered from afflictions are given their reward, those amongst them who were healthy will wish their skins had been cut to pieces with scissors when they were in the world.”

(Silsila as-Saheeha #2206, al-Tirmidhi #2402)

Never think you’re less than anybody if you feel they have more of the dunya than you.

Allah has blessed you in so many ways. Place your trust in Him, just as how the birds place their trust in Allah.

They go out in the morning in search of food, they return in the evening with full stomachs.

“A people will enter Jannah whose hearts will be like (those of) birds.”

[Saheeh Muslim, 6808]

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Be kind, for whenever kindness becomes part of something, it beautifies it. Whenever it is taken from something, it leaves it tarnished.” – Imam Bukhari’s Book of Muslim Manners.

Abū Sa‘īd al-Khudrī (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “If the believer wishes for a child in Jannāh (Paradise), the pregnancy, birth and growth will occur within an hour, as they wish.”

(Sahīh al-Jāmī #6649; Jāmī at-Tirmidhï #2563)

“Whoever recites Surah Kahf on the day of Jummu'ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one friday to the next.”

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "A slave becomes nearest to his Rubb when he is in prostration. So increase supplications in prostrations.”
