had to gif it lol

Hey, Luke, it’s me. I know I’m not supposed to be calling, but I am not doing really great right now, and– I was just wondering, if, do you remember in The Way we Were, how Katie and Hubbell broke up because his friends were joking and laughing, and the president had just died, and she yelled at them and he was mad and he was going out to Hollywood, and, I mean, which she hated, and he broke up with her and she was really upset. And she called him and asked him if he would come over and sit with her because he was her best friend and she needed her best friend, and he did. And they talked all night, and they went out to Hollywood, which was a disaster, but it was good at first. With the boat, and uh, putting the books away. I’ve seen this movie a lot, so if you don’t remember the putting the books away scene, don’t feel stupid or anything. I was just sitting here thinking about it, because…

The film was shot in eight weeks, and required no retakes. During the scene where James Stewart hiccups when drunk, you can see Cary Grant looking down and grinning. Since the hiccup wasn’t scripted, Grant was on the verge of breaking out laughing and had to compose himself quickly. Stewart thought of hiccuping in the drunk scene himself, without telling Grant. When he began hiccuping, Grant turned to Stewart saying, “Excuse me.” The scene required only one take. [x]

Arya Meme: (9/10) Scenes
↳ From here we bend our oars for home, and I suggest you do the same.”
I have no home, Arya thought. I have no pack. And now I don’t even have a horse.
The captain was turning away when she said, “What ship is this, my lord?”
He paused long enough to give her a weary smile. “This is the galleas Titan’s Daughter, of the Free City of Braavos.”
“Wait,” Arya said suddenly. “I have something else.”
She had stuffed it down inside her smallclothes to keep it safe, so she had to dig deep to find it, while the oarsmen laughed and the captain lingered with obvious impatience.
“One more silver will make no difference, child,” he finally said.
“It’s not silver.” Her fingers closed on it. “It’s iron. Here.”
She pressed it into his hand, the small black iron coin that Jaqen Hghar had given her, so worn the man whose head it bore had no features. It’s probably worthless, but…
The captain turned it over and blinked at it, then looked at her again. “This… how… ?”
Jaqen said to say the words too. Arya crossed her arms against her chest. “Valar morghulis,” she said, as loud as if she’d known what it meant.
“Valar dohaeris,” he replied, touching his brow with two fingers. “Of course you shall have a cabin.”

Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2007

Alexander McQueen’s collection titled “Sarabande” (the name of a Handel song that was played by a live chamber orchestra during the show) drew inspiration from artist and director Sam Taylor-Johnson’s 2001 film Still Life, which depicts a bowl of fruit that slowly rots away. McQueen described his mood at the time as “darkly romantic,” and he utilized fresh flowers because, simply, “they die.”

The finale piece of the collection, worn by model Tanya Dziahileva, was a nude silk organza gown covered in both silk and fresh flowers. As she walked, flowers began dropping off the dress, which while many thought was a clever symbol of decay, was actually an accident.

“We put [the fresh flowers] on just before she went out, and they started to fall off one by one as she walked. I remember people saying Lee timed it,” the label’s current creative director, Sarah Burton, told Vogue. “We had a laugh about that. It was an accident!”

“We were just there on set because we knew there was gonna be no dialogue. We knew it was just gonna play back in the museum as silent footage of them together so we shot it, they were just talking to each other, not even as the characters, they were just talking to each other as Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan trying to make each other laugh and have a good time just so we have this little moment between the two characters. We actually never had a script in terms of what was happening there in a storytelling level, it was just a moment to show the two were close and had a great relationship.”
