Why do spren exist on Roshar but not other planets in the Cosmere? We know that 'everything has a spren' (WoK) and also 'we know about Windows; what is and isn't a window takes on... meaning in the Spiritual Realm. Takes on life, after a fashion.' (ES) So across the Cosmere every object and idea has a 'spren' but only on Roshar are these ideas able to present themselves in the Physical Realm. Is the barrier between realms thinner somehow? Or is the system so saturated with Investiture?

I think the Spiritual and Cognitive realms appear differently on different planets, and that’s why? So yes, I think spren would only appear as what we think of as “spren” on Roshar. There many be different ways the Spiritual and Cognitive realms manifest in the Physical on different planets…and those may or may not be equivalent.

We’re definitely seeing different appearances of our realms as we world-hop (SH and Elantris stuff come to mind immediately).  I’m shaky on my Realmatic Theory, though, so if anyone else wants to cut in please do!

A Better World

“Remember our plans to sail around the world on a boat? Take this book, get on a boat, and sail as far away as you can, to the edge of the Earth!”

On this Earth, my brother listened to me and took Journal 1 away from Gravity Falls…

okay listen dude i just. my mind is continually BLOWN by the realization that the entire sequences of events in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story; everything that happens, the future of the rebellion as it is hinged on the off-chance that an anxious shaky cargo pilot wouldn’t give up or get caught or turn himself in or die or totally blow it immediately??? think about that for a second just consider it  w o w  BODHI ROOK WAS THAT ONE LITTLE FRAGILE PIECE WOBBLING ON THE EDGE AND THEN HE MADE THE CHOICES HE DID

there’s something gutwrenchingly beautiful and true to an entire series of incredible events resting in the trembling hands of one ordinary, uncertain, seemingly unqualified man, a man who then chooses to take those uncertain steps forward and makes himself so heroic is that not the freaking tightest ish you’ve ever heard because dang son
