Gypsy Rose Blanchard on the last words her mother said to her
Gypsy Rose Blanchardwas sentenced to ten years of prison in July 2016, after pleading guilty to second-degree murder. Gypsy was 24 years old when she and her then boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn (26), stabbed her mother, Clauddine Blanchard (48), to death on the 14th of June, 2015. Gypsy Rose Blanchard will be eligible for parole in 2024, when she is 32 years old.
Gypsy’s mother had been abusing her for her whole life by pretending she was ill and had various disabilities (Munchausen syndrome by Proxy). Gypsy was forced to take lots of unneeded prescription medications, had to use a wheelchair and so on.
Clauddine did this to get sympathy by exploiting Gypsy, she was also doing it for donations, free trips, etc.
we will never be satisfied - bad-ass broadway feminists who have empowered women and changed the face of musical theatre

Gypsy Rose isn’t perfect. It’s chipped, faded, and dusty; but it’s organic and you can feel the emotion just by looking at it. The bumps and ripples of the hand painted roses are easy to see and feel. It creates an emotion of which I haven’t felt before.
