Gylen Castle
Argyll and Bute, Scotland by Tom Donald

Built in 1582 CE, Gylen Castle was once home to members of Clan MacDougalll. It was occupied only for a short period of time, until it was sacked in 1647 CE by Covenanter General David Leslie during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms.

Sheep were grazing at Gylen Castle today. A gentler scene than the day on 1647 when it was besieged and burnt by the Conenaters. On Kerrera off the west coast of Scotland.
