August 27, 2015 (part I) - We set out today to climb up Gunung Brinchang, the second highest peak in the Cameron Highlands at 2000 meters above sea level. We had heard the climb was a bit dicey with some steep sections, muddy trails and elevation gain the whole way up. It was a challenge, but nothing out of the ordinary.
We got muddy, were sucking wind in a few sections and had to fireman climb some sections of tree root - but it was worth it for the views at the top. Cheaters can take a car up to the summit, and there were plenty of tours to contend with, but we did it the old fashioned way. Your reward is climbing a three story lookout tower, rusty and falling apart.
