guise do this if you can!!!

Also because my art isnt digital. Digital art has single handedly won this age over which isn’t a bad thing but Jesus I don’t think I can do it in this industry anymore. No one gives a shit about my art because it’s messy, unorganized and disgusting I just…

Idk ever since my dad died the reality that I’m talentless and just hiding behind the guise of an artist has begun to crush me. I don’t like my art anymore. I don’t like doing it. I like to live in the past when my father was alive and I enjoyed art. I like looking at my old art and pleading people to praise it because somewhere deep inside myself I know I won’t be able to achieve that sort of stuff anymore. I’m just some stupid kid with impossible dreams now I feel.

Something horrible is happening on youtube

I’m going to preface this post with a content warning. This post is about child abuse. The video I’m going to link includes actually video footage of child abuse. It is one of the most upsetting videos I have ever watched. My post includes in depth descriptions of child abuse.

This morning I watched a Youtube video discussing and highlighting what is happening on another Youtube channel. If you have the stomach for it, I’d suggest watching the video because Phillip DeFranco does a much better job of summarizing the situation than I can.

For those of you who can’t watch, I’ll give you a very brief rundown.

The Youtube channel DaddyOfFive is a combination family vlog and prank channel. In a recent video, the parents pull a prank where they pour invisible ink on one of the kid’s floors and then make him think that they believe he poured ink all over the floor. They scream and swear at this little boy, shouting things like “What the fuck did you do?” while the boy cries and cowers, looking genuinely terrified. Even the best child actors could not pull off looking as genuinely devastated as this child does.

As DeFranco highlights in his video, although all the children are pranked, it seems that this one child (Cody) takes the brunt of the cruelty. In many videos he is seen being hit, kicked, pushed, and pinned down by his older siblings. In one video his father pushes him face first into a book case. In one video Cody begs his family to stop, saying that he’s tired of this. In another video his parents scream at him and tell him he’s the only one in the family who can’t “take a joke”.

In response to some of the flak they have been getting, the parents uploaded a video about “Blocking All The Haters”. They goad the children into saying on camera that they aren’t being abused. Now keep in mind, the kids have been told that all the “Cool stuff” they have been getting is because of the Youtube channel. They know that if the pranks stop, the cool stuff goes away. Most of the children chime in that they are not being abused. Cody hardly says anything. The oldest boy says, “At least you aren’t beating us”.

What is happening to Cody is child abuse. It is emotional, psychological and physical abuse. It is torture. And the worst part of it all is that it is monetized. The parents are being paid by advertisers to abuse this child under the guise of “It’s just a prank, bro”.

So what can we do?

First of all, we can report the videos on DaddyOfFive’s channel for containing depictions of child abuse. If you decide to help by doing this, please be sure to flag the specific instances of abuse such as Cody being pushed or the parents screaming vulgarities at the children.

Second of all, we can let the companies advertising on this channel know that we won’t be buying anything from a company that sponsors videos of child abuse.

Finally, if anyone knows this family in person, they can make a report to CPS. Now the family is claiming that they’ve already been investigated and “cleared” by CPS, but that’s not how this works. Repeated reports mean repeated investigations. You do not give up and look the other way when a child is being abused just because CPS failed to act the first time. When my neighbors were abusing their children, I had to call CPS every week for over a month before something was done. Don’t give up.

Day Ninety-Two

-I discovered that while I had signed on to pick up a shift that was listed as softlines, I was, in fact, assigned to the fitting room, an area entirely beyond my understanding. Thankfully, the years of theater training that I have amassed have come in handy. I was able to flawless assume the guise of one who knew precisely what they were doing.

-A woman softly shouted, “Don’t you almost kill my baby!” These words themselves were not my main cause for concern, but her nonchalant tone of someone repeating an oft-used line.

-I happened upon a six-sided die, featuring depictions of a satchel, a chalice, a cactus, a sunrise, a character of indeterminate origin, and a large monkey. It is not an item we sell nor was anyone in the store looking for such a relic. I can only assume that those who used this die have completed their occult ritual and decided that they had no further use for it.

-While sorting through returned clothing, a pair of pants was found with incriminating brown stains and an even more incriminating stench. The largest stain was located in the seat of the pants, but this was not the only one. There was a faint trail leading down the left leg, culminating in a large splotch at the cuff, suggesting that whatever had been laid at the start of the path was kicked along downwards in an attempt to get rid of the evidence. While I can only imagine the circumstances this person was facing, I am more interested in why they thought this was the appropriate time to return them.

-A young girl told her unlistening mother that she likes to put Tic Tacs in her butt. I feel that her mother should have cared much more about this than she did.

only the finest

Lena just wanted a nice night out with Kara.

“Would you like to go on a date?”

It slips out. Quiet and rushed, the words forming and letting loose before she can think anything other than please say yes. Kara freezes, noodles halfway to her mouth as she looks between them, and Lena almost takes them back.

(They’ve been doing this- meetings under the guise of interviews, the latest on L-Corp- for weeks.

Somewhere, between hands brushing just so as they pass food back and forth, it’s become featherlight kisses on the corner of her mouth when Kara leaves, promises to call when the other is free and texting whenever they can.

Somewhere, Kara has went from her only friend in National City to something. Something that makes her heart race with possibility and ache with the thought of its loss if she pushes.)

10 Movies that could change your understanding about life

Every movie has the ability to affect its viewer differently. Some films evoke wonder and excitement, while others provoke fear or sorrow, but a commonality among all films is a prevailing message or theme.

Some films can summon such profound questions, that it changes the way you perceive life as you once knew it. The following list contains 10 unique movies that do just that.

10) Donnie Darko

Richard Kelly’s cult-classic Donnie Darko stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a troubled, sleep-walking teen who is insistent in challenging authority and who is often visited by Frank, a monstrous rabbit that urges Donnie to perform dangerous and destructive pranks.

A haunting work of loneliness, alienation and the universal desire for companionship and meaning that’s wrapped in a guise of understated ‘80s nostalgia and head-spinning science fiction mythology, Donnie Darko is a film you shouldn’t miss.

What makes Donnie Darko especially fascinating is its take on multiple realities and universes. The film explores concepts of imploding universes, black holes and alternate timelines. It leaves most scratching their heads and itching for an immediate second viewing. Richard Kelly stated that the film has varying interpretations, which is why the film is still analysed and debated about to this day.

9) The Matrix

A smartly crafted combination of stimulating action and mind-bending philosophy, The Matrix is a film that throws our perceived reality into question. The film’s premise finds Neo (Keanu Reeves), an office-worker by day, computer hacker by night, who is told about the grand illusion. That is, the reality as we know it is false, a simulated and constructed reality in which mankind is unknowingly imprisoned.

The film is an allegory for the concept of a spiritual awakening. Neo is woken up to the fact that he’s been enslaved to the system, the matrix, his entire life. He is re-taught about his unlimited potential as a creator-being, and stands up against the dark forces which impose humanity. Amazing in every sense, The Matrix has a lot to offer, with the potential to change the way you understand the world we live in.

8) Waking Life

Absurd, transporting, and strikingly original, Waking Life poses many life-changing questions, such as ‘What are dreams and what is reality?’ Within the animated film, the line between the dream-state and reality become blurred as the protagonist wanders through various scenarios and interacts with an eclectic cast of characters.

Each character throws science and philosophy into question, and as the main character continues to experience the extended dream, he begins to worry he will not awaken.

Humans and inanimate details are sometimes quite realistic, even recognizable (such as Ethan Hawke) but the computer “painting” can give subjects forms, movements and dimensions that are wildly exaggerated, limber and stylized in cartoon-like fashion. The movie looks like an LSD trip, and is a cult classic that could find a spot in everyone’s top ten list.

7) Cloud Atlas

Colossal in scale, Cloud Atlas follows 6 interwoven story lines that span hundreds of years. The official synopsis describes it as “an exploration of how the actions of individual lives impact one another in the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.”

Cloud Atlas’s prevalent theme delves into the theory of reincarnation, which boasts that an eternal aspect of our self, the soul, experiences any number of lives incarnating here on Earth. The film also explores the concept of karma and the karmic cycle, suggesting that our actions in one lifetime may reverberate into the next.

Although the critic consensus is mixed for Cloud Atlas, one must applaud the film for tackling an unconventional theory such as reincarnation as well as a massively ambitious story line.

6) Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring is a Korean film that follows a Buddhist monk and his journey at a monastery that floats on a lake in a pristine forest. The story follows the monk as he passes through the seasons of his life, from childhood to old age.

Each changing season act as beautiful metaphors and lesson that the main character is experiencing. The film is very quiet, but the breathtaking imagery speaks for itself. Although the story has only a handful of characters and everything takes place in a small area, it encompasses a surprisingly large chunk of the human experience, including lust, love, jealousy, murder, suicide and redemption. It has important things to say about the difficulty of teaching and the elusiveness of wisdom.

This film is about learning from one’s mistakes and becoming a better person by seeking wisdom.

5) Samsara

In a number of Eastern faiths, samsara literally means “continuous flow,” referring obliquely to the ongoing cycle of life and death, decay and renewal.

Samsara, the film, turns that idea into a sprawling concept, a continuous flow of images of the natural world and the human tide that dominates it. The film envelops the audience with a barrage of diverse imagery that shifts rapidly from one locale and one theme to the next.

Through watching the continuous imagery, we are given the chance to truly observe our world with utmost presence, something we tend not do in our fast-paced culture. It’s a journey through life and death, and a film which may give you a new perspective on the human experience.

4) Detachment

Detachment is a chronicle of one month in the lives of several high school teachers, administrators and students through the eyes of a substitute teacher named Henry Barthes (Adrien Brody).  Barthes’ method of imparting vital knowledge to his temporary students is interrupted by the arrival of three women in his life — the damaged and naïve prostitute Erica, a fellow teacher and a troubled teen named Meredith.

These women all have profound effects on Barthes’ life, forcing him to both re-discover aspects of his own personality, and to come to terms with both the tragic suicide of his mother and the impending death of his grandfather.

Henry impacts his students’ lives and makes them more focused and attentive, but he alone can only do so much. The film is a character study of one man, and a social commentary on the failing education and social systems.

3) Her

Her follows Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix), a lonely introverted middle-aged man who  hears of the new OS1, the world’s first artificial intelligent operating system. When Theodore meets Samantha (Scarlett Johansson), the charming female voice of his OS1, he soon finds himself drawn to  her romantically. As he becomes closer to Samantha, Theodore must decipher where his desire to be with her is really coming from.

There are many themes in Her that parallel the issues of our current technology-obsessed culture. We’ve become so attached to our phones, laptops and tablets that we’ve begun to lose touch with an essential aspect of life, authentic human interaction. Her reveals how technology is propelling isolation and loneliness to a scary degree, something we all should consider.

2) Fight Club

Fight Club teaches its viewer many things. A big lesson realized from watching the film is the emptiness that exists within consumerism and materialism. It’s also a film which questions our attachment to identity -are we really who we believe ourselves to be? The film shocks its viewer when we discover that the ‘revolution’ which has been building up is a mere satire constructed to teach the main character a massive lesson about the state of humanity.

1) Life Is Beautiful

Life is Beautiful reveals the power of optimism and perception during dark times. The story is simple: A father tries to shelter his son and family from the horrors of WWII. It teaches us how preserving our child-like innocence can protect us from the troubles life may throw at us. A simple concept that is beautifully crafted.

Obviously this list only skims the amount of life-changing films available today. I didn’t even mention documentaries, because there are too many to start listing. What are some movies or documentaries that have impacted your life?

UK General Election

This is a call to arms. If you are British, if you are signed up to the elctoral register, if you have your polling card:

Go out and vote.

This is not a joke anymore. You can’t sit back and let everyone else try and change things, because there are hundreds of thousands of people who will be doing the exact same thing. We cannot afford to be politically apathetic. We cannot afford to let this go on any longer.

Fight back. Don’t let these reverse Robin Hoods rake your hard earned cash from you under the guise of ‘austerity’, all the while putting that cash firmly in the pockets of their wealthy friends.

Do not allow these self serving, pro class-divide monsters take away a nearly 70 year old institution that has prolonged and saved and began so many British lives. Refuse to pay for the privilege of being unwell, of being injured, of having a child, of being disabled or in need of a sensory aid.

I for one will be at that polling booth on June 8th, putting my cross in that box that spells a better, brighter, more socially and economically just future for our youngest, oldest, poorest and sickest. Anyone but the Tories, anyone but Blue, anyone but the Nasty Party.

Please vote next Thursday. Your voice and your life matters just as much as theirs - speak up.

If Barry was Savitar

Current Barry has ruined several future Barrys’ lives by messing with the timeline.

On Legends we’re seeing a version of Eobard trying to outrun time and death to escape being erased.

What if Savitar is the same? He is the version of Barry that would have existed if Barry never went back and saved his mother, and then erased it, causing Flashpoint. He learned to go faster than ever before because he had to in order to escape being erased like everything else about his timeline, and it’s driven him insane trying to keep going fast enough to escape his fate, a fate he blames on the version of Barry that exists now.

Sure, there’s a version of that timeline that DOES still exist, but in Barry’s reality that timeline was wiped out. Maybe normally, that other Barry would have been wiped out easily too, but he was running when it happened, when the shockwave struck, and was able to outrun it until he suddenly found himself in the past (or maybe future) only it clearly wasn’t his past or future. He couldn’t go back home because home for him no longer exists; the other Barry had stolen his life.

Remember Savitar said Barry took everything from him so now he’s going to take everything from Barry. Maybe he tried again and again to figure out a way to get home, until he realized that could never happen. Then constantly going faster and faster to escape the Black Flash started to mess with him too. He visited world after world, reality after reality, challenging other speedsters so he’d finally get fast enough to beat The Flash he once was.

This lost version of Barry has become so twisted, he isn’t even really Barry anymore. He’s willing to kill Iris to prove a point to his other self, because it’s not HIS Iris after all, Barry killed her, killed everyone, destroyed everything. Why should that Barry get what he wants, when this Barry lost everything?

So imagine everything plays out as we expect with it leading to the showdown when Iris should die, but they’re ready for it, they have everything planned as best they can, but when they overtake Savitar they finally learn who he really is. Maybe Barry tackles him and the guise falls away. He’s no metal monster, he’s just a speedster in a suit very much like Barry’s only it’s blue, and his lightning is so different it’s not even really blue to match but white.

Our Barry gets the mask off of this other man to see his own face, though maybe twenty or thirty years older, looking back at him.

“How could you do this? All those people. You were willing to kill Iris!”

“Because you killed mine! You erased everyone. You took my life, my whole world, and all because of what? For some selfish wish you didn’t even follow through on? You have to pay for what you did. I’ll make you pay for what you did to me…”

(god, I would just LOVE to see a twisted Barry at some point)

’ This is… this is great news! ’
’ Hey, get away from the ledge, you’re gonna get hurt. ’
’ This one has the “S”. For “Super”, just like your cousin. ’
’ I just can’t hear you over the loud color of your cheap pants. ’
’ I’m the hero. ’
’ Oh, God. Is that smell you? ’
’ I see you share your cousin’s appetite for wanton destruction. ’
’ Three showers and I still smell of reek oil. ’
’ I went from superhero to eco-terrorist in a single bound. ’
’ I am not doing that interview. ’
’ How can you be so sure? ’
‘ I watched it happen for years with your cousin. ’
’ Reading glasses and a good slouch? ’
’ I see a city full of people who need help. Who need a hero. ’
’ Oh, no. I’m sorry. I meant to say who are you? ’
’ Trademark pending. ’
’ Have you lost your mind? ’
’ What were you thinking giving interviews? ’
’ It was more of a private conversation that’s being published. ’
’ What’s next? A book deal? A reality show? “Keeping Up with the Kryptonians”? ’
’ When did you even call him/her? The second I left? ’
’ I made a promise to your cousin. If anything ever happened to you… ’
’ I’m just trying to keep you safe. ’
’ It wasn’t supposed to be this way. ’
’ Your story… Your story is just starting. ’
’ I’m just dealing with an escaped alien prisoner. ’
’ You’ve spent more time in the Friend Zone than the Phantom Zone. ’
’ I am not in the Friend Zone. ’
’ Well… did you notice any of her/his other attributes? ’
’ Tell me, what do you think makes her/him a hero? ’
’ What can I get you? Or are you not allowed to drink and fly? ’
’ I was surprised, you’re usually a little more glib. ’
’ You said, tonight, you always build in fail safes. ’
’ I would never barter a child’s life. ’
’ I just can’t figure out why you did it. ’
’ For the record, I care about everyone. ’
’ You may have fooled this city, but I know you were behind this. ’
’ Finally, something we can agree on. ’
’ The fun is just beginning. ’
’ Can you hack into hospital records? ’
’ Easy-peasy, fresh and squeezy… ’
’ You were really mad, at something else. ’
’ You need to find, find that anger behind the anger. ’
’ You let that thing get away. I thought you were on our side. ’
’ It fought harder this time, harder. Faster. ’
’ It’s like it knew you’d choose to save those people. ’
’ Would you like me to call your mother a car? ’
’ I am the sole survivor of my planet. ’
’ You never get sick. That’s the best part about you. ’
’ Bow your head when you approach me! ’
’ Are you sure you want to do this? ’
’ It’s time for us to be a family again. ’
’ You’re gonna wish I’d died with the rest of them! ’
’ But can you look me in the eye and tell me that you are prepared to kill? ’
’ I’m very boring and really normal. ’
’ So, um, I’ll just get out of your hair. ’
’ You know, you guys could have told me. I can keep a secret. ’
’ I know there’s nothing anyone can say to make you feel better right now. ’
’ We are going to bring this thing in together. ’
’ I’m not leaving you alone with that thing. ’
’ That is not some anonymous alien you’ve brought in. ’
’ You’re compromising the security of this entire operation. ’
’ I would think you’d understand that better than anyone. ’
’ It is what makes you a hero! ’
’ That’s the difference between soldiers and heroes. ’
’ You waisted your ammo. ’
’ Without you, the world is a better place! ’
’ Without me, you’d be dead! ’
’ Please remember I would never try and hurt you. ’
’ I hate a generic sports metaphor, but that interview was a touchdown. ’
’ You wanna fight about it? ’
‘ I have too much self-esteem to kill myself. ’
’ I’m making stupid mistakes, like today. ’
’ The public will forgive you, I promise. ’
’ Ah, you do have a cell phone? Can I get that number, please? ’
’ You think I wanna do this? It’s the only way to win. ’
‘ I mean, that was terrible, but it was awesome. ’
’ We’ve never saved anything together. ’
’ I’ve dreamt of this moment. The two of us teaming up. ’
’ Um, not exactly sure you have to tell them that. ’
’ I can’t believe I didn’t see it before. ’
’ This is it for me, this is my calling. ’
’ The enemy has come in the guise of heroes. ’
’ You don’t get a chair ‘cause you don’t work here. ’
’ They have not left you, even in the face of death. ’
’ You ever spend time inside a foster home? ’
’ So just chill with the attitude, okay? ’
’ How can you, of all people, say that? ’
’ I know what you’re gonna say. I should have waited for you. ’
’ You didn’t give me a story, you gave me a half-baked idea. ’
’ I got the impression you didn’t want to spend time with me. ’
’ So, I memorized that fake ID for nothing? ’
’ I was shooting some hoops last night and hurt some ribs. ’
’ My whole life, I have been a sidekick. ’
’ I hate to break it to you, dude, but you don’t have superpowers. ’
’ I have a black belt and you’re right, I don’t have powers. ’
’ What do you have against a good old romantic comedy? ’
’ Yeah, your punk rock phase was very strange. ’
’ Are you slurring your words? ’

Little Things the Types Do That May Annoy Others

1- They may unintentionally cause those around them to feel hyper criticized, those close to them may feel that “nothing is ever good enough for them”  but for them it’s just under the guise of, “I’m making it better, I’m just helping point out the flaws in this so you can improve it.” While others can see it as, “I’m excessively targeting your weak points and always nagging you on them.”

What people should understand: They’re just as critical of themselves as they are of you. You may feel that you’re always being forced to meet expectations that are way too high. Truth is, you don’t even need to try to meet the expectations, it’s nothing to do with you, they’re not targeting you, it’s just their style- so you can relax, and every time they point something out, you don’t need to rush to meet that expectation, cause chances are, the second you complete it, they’re going to have something else to say, and it’s not that they’re criticizing you, it’s just the way they’re ingrained, strive to be good.

2-  They may cause others to feel they’re overbearing, too sensitive, overwhelming, smothering, blatantly needy. It may feel very invasive to others. They’re helpful, but when they feel that people don’t need them, they’ll do the opposite of back off and kind of throw themselves at them, waiting at their beck and call, making themselves feel worse and worse but the worse they feel the more they’ll do, which is very opposite and it may cause confusion from others and annoyance.

What people should understand: It doesn’t take much to satisfy the 2. Although it may seem like it, the two throwing themselves at them to help, lingering around, it seems like they’d want something back, something big, although they may not be able to figure this out because the more they withdraw the more the 2 approaches as if there’s a huge debt lingering for their help. Truly, all you need to do is acknowledge them. A thanks, a smile, a hug, be open to them, don’t be closed off or cold, don’t be curt and dismissive, this causes the opposite. The two wants to connect, so let them. Emotionally engage them, chat for a bit, and the two has their acknowledgement and appreciation for what they’ve done, the throwing themselves at you thing is just, the more you back away the more they’ll approach because you seem distant, and they just want you to acknowledge their help, so they feel appreciated.

3- People close to the 3 may feel that they have an all or nothing attitude. “You’re only worth something if you are something.” They may place a lot of worth on anything, academic achievement, athletic achievement, etc. There’s no place for the regular people here, you’re either a winner, or you’re with the loser. This may put a strain on those close to them, and they may accidentally cause those around them to feel that they are worthless, or that the 3 views them as underachievers when really, they just have no interest in achieving those same things the 3 has.

What people should understand: The 3 has a focused viewpoint, and the 3 should also understand that not everyone is going to share this viewpoint. Their friends or family aren’t “lazy” or “underachievers” because they don’t place the same value and importance on recognition and achievement as the 3. The 3 may feel that they are motivating those close to them, calling them to action! Motivational speeches, get off your bottom and get up and become something! To the 3, it’s motivational. To others, it may have the opposite affect, people may feel that the 3 is saying you’re worthless until you are something, or you’re not trying hard enough, or you want to be just average, you could be great, when someone truly could be trying their hardest, or maybe they don’t just place the same value on achievement as the 3. The 3 feels they’re being motivational, trying to drive those around them to action, but to others, it may not feel that way.

4- Those close to them may feel that they are self absorbed (in a negative light), obsessed with being miserable, “special snowflake syndrome” , loving sadness too much and clinging to it even in the face of possible happiness because of the odd pleasure they draw from their misery. They feel that the 4 blatantly rejects good things, in favor of basking in the melancholy they’ve cultivated.

What people should understand: The 4 often cultivates emotions, as parts of their personality. Hence, the misery example. To them, the unhappiness, is not a state they can change, it is an ingrained part of their personality. They feel that they are lacking an identity, so to make up for this, they have a large range of emotions going on for them, and they pick and choose those emotions that they decide will make them up. The 4 feels inherently misunderstood, the loner, the reject. They tell themselves that no one will possibly understand them, and they take that perspective, “I am unique, I am difficult to understand and it’s great because I’m one of a kind, but I also feel flawed, because I’m not like the others, I don’t fit in as easily.” They have a great emotional depth, but also feel somewhat empty. Cultivating feelings such as melancholy helps feel that they’ve created an identity. They long for something, but they don’t really know what they long for, in basic, they love the longing itself. They’re not really attempting to cling to unhappiness, they feel that it is a built in construct of their personality and to let go- what will happen? They’ll lose their consistency, their stability- and so they hold onto that because it’s what they’ve created for themselves as an identity.

5- There’s one thing in particular that I’m going to acknowledge, having done it myself, but I’ll throw in a few others as well. People may feel that the 5 is insensitive, closed off, inconsiderate, blatantly doesn’t give a fuck, also self absorbed, cares more about what’s in their head than the people close to them. and also, gets carried away with their little analyzing and “experiments”. I’m actually going to talk about this. We’ll call this, “Mad Scientist Syndrome” and I’ll tell you about it right now.

What people should understand: The 5 actually is sensitive, deeeeep deeeep down, and insecure, and because of that, they’ve created a barricading wall of information and mastery of whatever particular interest(s) they have, to compensate for them feeling like the world is too much, and it’s like, “ok when I’m done accumulating all this data on the world I’ll go out in the world and I’ll survive bc I know so much now” except they don’t get to the stage of “I’ll go out into the world” they’re stuck at, “Need more data” cause they’re fooling themselves into believing that they’ll only be able to brave the scary world once they know enough but they haven’t learned that you can’t replace direct experience with a mental construct, but they try to, oh we try to. Anyway, basically, behind this huge wall are their emotions and care for you, they’re don’t not care for you, and on the surface they seem oblivious or indifferent to your existence but deep deep down behind that barrier they <3 you with their secretly sensitive souls. If you ask them though, even if you don’t feel like it, it’s rather simple really, if you feel that they don’t care about you at all, it’s blatantly obvious, if we really didn’t give a fuck about you we wouldn’t hang out with you or speak to you, even if we don’t say we love you, why the hell would I associate with you if I don’t give a fuck about you? Like it’s that simple really. They can also seem snappish and inconsiderate, it’s not intentional, they’re just not aware that people will take their brusque personality personally, because of how ‘absent minded professor” they are.

Now, the “Mad Scientist Syndrome” (Sorry I know 5 is seeming really long compared to the others, wasn’t intentional, just as a 5, I have a lot to add on.) When a 5 gets invested in analyzing someone, they get impersonal. Very impersonal. Leads to them doing asshole-ish things without knowing. Sort of like how mad scientists start running crazy experiments and get all insensitive and evil and lose all morality. Okay, this is that, on a much tinier scale. Sometimes, analyzing someone’s behavior, while it is objective for you, it’s not objective for the person you’re analyzing, and it’s inconsiderate to turn them into a project. I often forget that. Please remember that, 5′s. Just like on Nemo, Fish are friends, not food. People are friends, not projects :) Please keep in mind. Also, for people, this isn’t personal it’s just this compulsive thing and it’s not intentional it’s an asshole thing to do, but I forget it’s an asshole thing to do, and it’s not a personal target either, it just happens and slips out and I’m like oh shit oops, so keep in mind.

6- People close to 6 may feel that they are suspicious, convoluted, distrustful, accusatory, pushing people away, overall complicated. Extremely indecisive, anxious, and explosive. 6′s are the picture of, “feeling an emotion vs. acting on that emotion.” Type 6 really portrays the difference, because there could be a hair trigger, and they act on an emotion, which can be frustrating for others, sometimes acting on it before they even decipher if it’s “normal” (I would’ve said rational for the emotions except emotions aren’t rational at all, but usually an emotion correlates to a situation and some emotions are abnormal to situations, take anger at someone buying you a cake or something like that, although that’s vastly exaggerated.) Basically, before they decipher the emotion they’ll act on it which can cause people to want to bash their skull into a wall.

What people should understand: 6′s have somewhat of an inherent inner turmoil, this broiling anxiety and feeling of instability. They seek outer sources to quell this anxiety and bring stability to balance out the instability they feel inside. They often “test” loyalty, to see if you’re really going to support them and this is very important for them. They may act on an emotion before actually realizing what it is exactly they’re feeling, and it’s not intentional, and they’re not attempting to start an argument, while it may seem that they’re consistently seeking out conflict, they’re actually consistently seeking out your reassurance that you’ll be there for them even in their worst moments, although it’s definitely an odd way of showing it. They know they can be difficult, and they want to trust that you’ll remain in difficult times, and because of that, they often test you, grating on your patience, and when you get fed up of this behavior, they see it as you proving that you really won’t support them. They react, and they don’t want you to react back, they want to trust that you’ll be there, in spite of their reactions.

7- People may feel that 7s never focus or refuse to focus, have a lack of direction, refuse to meet their potential, are too busy chasing fun instead of applying themselves, and disorganized, and running from any obligation or responsibility at all times.

What people should understand: 7′s are versatile. While you may believe your 7 is lacking direction, and should focus, a 7 forced to focus on one thing for a long time wilts. They get bored, and antsy. 7s may seem scattered, but truly, they thrive when they’re allowed to explore, and as they’re moving, they can definitely be successful on the go. Different things at once are exciting for a 7, they’re new, and they’ll keep on pursuing new experiences. A 7 can actually, be responsible, while still being exploratory. They’re quite smart and they’ve got quick minds, which makes them excellent at navigating and jumping from situation to situation with ease. Just because they don’t focus on one thing at once doesn’t make them less successful or intellectual- their minds are very quick, while they wouldn’t prefer to pore over a text book, if they hear a few interesting facts here or there, they’re sure to remember them and spit them out. Although, I feel that 7s may have difficulty in school, and not necessarily school itself, but schoolwork, such as homework, in school it’s a structured environment which gives them no choice but to focus, but on their free time they’re likely to procrastinate away instead of focusing on writing an essay they find boring.

8- People may find 8′s overbearing, insensitive, overtly aggressive, abrasive, confrontational, and controlling and for females they might find them “overly masculine” and I dare you to say that because a female is a type 8, or just in general because she’s tough and stands up for herself, that it’s “off putting” and I’ll fuck u up myself m8. Anyway, they may come off a bit, strong, and intimidate others.

What people should understand: The 8 intimidating others is almost a challenge, and when you stand up for yourself, it’s like an unspoken truce of respect. They’re aggressive so they don’t get taken advantage of first. Offense instead of defense. “I’ll intimidate you first so that you can’t intimidate me cause you;ll be too intimidated.” It’s an unspoken show of power and dominance, I rule, don’t try to take advantage of me. They also don’t want to show any weakness, so the show of dominance and yadayadayada, so that you can’t see their weak spots. Underneath it all, they are very vulnerable, which they’ve covered with a facade, the 5 covers their vulnerability by disconnecting, the 8 covers their vulnerability by creating a facade of toughness over it. They reject others before they reject them, and go about with the tough loner attitude, and in attempting to cover up their vulnerability they become distanced from their emotional connections to others, which can lead to controlling behavior, blatant obliviousness to the emotional states of others, and insensitivity.

9- People may find 9s procrastinating, a bit too relaxed and passive, not speaking up even when something obviously isn’t okay or just letting it slide (An example, a kid does something bad in school, calls home, mom says nothing about it, and just lets it slide, dad comes home, gets angry that mom didn’t react, yadayadayada)  Not voicing their opinions until later, holding things in until it explodes in 50 years worth of anger, yeah.

What people should understand: 9 wants to avoid conflicts at all costs. They don’t want to disturb harmony or cause inner turmoil, and they won’t take the slightest risk of disrupting harmony in favor of keeping the peace even in unfavorable situations, causing them to remain very passive and perceived as lackadaisical. They’ll also refuse to make a choice that they feel might disrupt the order until they absolutely have to- procrastinating and putting it off until they have to deal with it. With their other problems, they shove them in the corner, because they never really have to deal with them, so they’ll keep procrastinating on them until they’re forced into action. The 9 isn’t lazy, they just don’t want to take even the slightest risk of disrupting the harmony and everyone’s peace of mind, so they’ll avoid it painfully unless they’re forced to acknowledge the elephant in the room.

[DRABBLE REQUEST] Vampire!Minghao (G)

Request: When a powerful vampire falls for a human university student
Requested by: Reirei anon
Word count: 3,971
Genre: Fantasy and fluff, I guess?
Warnings: None!

A/N: I tried :( I’m sorry I had to tweak the request a little to make the story flow better. Ended up including more of the ‘university’ aspect of the request than the ‘powerful vampire’ part, I hope you don’t mind!

For the upteempth time today, you find yourself pursing your lips at your laptop, your pen repeatedly tapping a restless rhythm against the keyboard. You’ve been staring at your year-end report for hours yet all you’ve churned out so far were a measly three paragraphs.

So much for a major in art, you think, all too ready to throw everything out of the window at this point. You loved art, but the compulsory art history module is a whole other story altogether. It is simply too dry and boring for your taste. “Forget this,” you sigh to yourself. “I’ll try this again tomorrow.”

Slapping your laptop shut, you put your study materials aside and pull out your trusty, dog-eared drawing pad out of your backpack. Nothing like a quick sketch to alleviate the mounting stress of university life.

“Slacking off again, I see.”

    • lafayette may not have high empathy, but that doesn’t mean he can’t care deeply about you and your well-being !!
  • if you give him a name and about two hours of time (at most) he will return to you with a sincere apology from the person and a smug look on his face,,
    • a protective lafayette is a frightening lafayette, especially when it comes to you. whoever messed with you just learned that.
  • after doing whatever he defines as “fixing” the problem, he’s going to do what he can to take care of you.
    • lafayette has a personal belief that baths happen to solve everything, so expect him to draw you a bath !! he won’t get in with you, but he’ll stay close by to make sure you don’t fall asleep in the tub
    • he might cook or coax you into a nap, too (likely through the guise of reading a book / watching a movie on the couch together)
  • if you start crying due to the stress, and you’re okay with being touched, he’ll draw you into his arms, kinda as if he’s trying to shield you from your own bad thoughts with his body
    • he’s also going to assure you that there’s nothing wrong with crying
      • “no, no. it’s good. it helps. don’t worry, not annoying.”
    • he feels tempted to kiss your tears away, but he won’t do it unless you ask him to,,
  • just tell him whatever you need, and he’ll get it for you, even if he has to fight for it. he just wants to see you happy again,,
I have a whouffaldi season 10 theory!

Someone please validate me.

OK, so in Empress of Mars, the Doctor acknowledges he’s worked with Ice Warriors before, but not that he encountered one with Clara while he was 11.

Fine, fair enough. He’s forgotten, no blatant Clara mention.

But what if this is all leading up to her return?

This, the first time the Doctor faces a foe he’s faced with Clara before, the TARDIS peaces out for no reason. Is it because the TARDIS knows the Ice Warriors could weaken his neural block? She’s got to get him out of there!

She didn’t know there were Ice Warriors on Mars, though. Not till the Doctor did. And he’s no longer on the TARDIS.

So what does she do?

She goes to get MISSY, the one who introduced the Doctor and Clara, the one who can’t NOT know what separated her pairing. The only one who can go get him and bring him back to the TARDIS.

And what’s the first thing Missy asks the Doctor on seeing him again?

“Are you OK?”

This could be showing how empathic Missy is becoming, but it could also be Missy trying to assess if the neural block is compromised.

Maybe that’s the whole reason Missy is staying with the Doctor in the first place. She’s in the vault under the guise of getting better so she can study the effects of the block on him. Maybe she is actually becoming good, but it’s a side effect, not a goal for her.

Because it is a particular kind of torture for the Doctor, isn’t it? To have holes in his life he can’t fill. And Mistress, the Master, would get off on that, knowing she has the power to end his suffering BUT SHE WON’T.

If this is true, it would be made more powerful by the Doctor agonizing over what he’s lost, but I can see why the writers didn’t do that. Having the Doctor moan over a past companion would be unfair to Bill (cough cough I’m looking at you “I’ll-overshadow-every-other-companion” Rose).

But it would be such a cool twist if this whole season was secretly winding up to giving the Doctor his memory back, and Clara returning to see him regenerate.

I want to see changelings interact with their human families

I can’t imagine that a changeling could be raised by a human family for several years and not form some feelings of attachment.

I want to see them surprise themselves when they begin to mentally refer to their human parents as “mom” and “dad” automatically.

I want to see them getting annoyed with their younger siblings but still defending them against bullies.

I want to see them going to their older siblings for advice when they simply cannot understand why humans do certain things.

I want to see them excitedly leaving for college because they can finally, finally live on their own (and not hide their troll duties), only to find that they actually miss their parents.

I want to see them calling home regularly throughout their life so that their family doesn’t worry.

I want to see them explaining to Gunmar that they simply can’t just do their troll duties during the holidays because it’s supposed to be spent with their families. “Human traditions.  Nope.  Gotta keep up the guise.  I’ll send you a fruitcake.”

I want to see them making safety plans to protect their families when the portal to the Darklands is eventually opened because, let’s face it, those humans have shown them more kindness and acceptance than the trolls ever have.

“Stiles, I…”

He’s muffled with a quick kiss, and Stiles adjusts to press to him the more tightly. “Shut up. Shut up, Scott wasn’t lying, it’s you, you’re really… I don’t care, don’t tell me. Whatever miracle happened to bring you back to me in this guise doesn’t matter. You’re here, you’re mine, that’s enough.”

VLD Pairings For Dummies™

Okay so we all know shipping plays a really big part in this garbage fire of a fandom. It has divided the fanbase and people will judge you and immediately think you’re an awful person for shipping something they don’t personally like. Why is it like this? I dunno, I’m just here to bitch and pretend that I’m funny (keep in mind these are my personal opinions so take them as grains of salt and throw them over your shoulder if you don’t like them). Let’s get into this

Two of the biggest pairings:

  • Klance: Follows the typical tropes of frienemies to lovers, red and blue aesthetic, opposites attract type of thing. Is currently the most popular pairing in vld.
  • Sheith: the second most popular pairing in vld. A fair amount of people love the chemistry between Shiro and Keith. They want to know more about their back stories and such.

These two pairings have an… intense rivalry… and that’s putting it mildly. It has escalated to the point where it’s an outrageously over blown shipwar taking the guise of social justice. It really has become a case where if you tell a lie long enough it will become accepted as the truth. some Klance shippers (a loud minority really) will accuse people shipping anything other than said ship of supporting pedophilia. And let me assure you, that word isn’t meant to be taken lightly so how dare you haphazardly throw it around to where it loses it’s original meaning? I digress, fans of klance largely out number the fans that like other pairings so antis can get away with all the harassment and bullying that they do, mostly to the sheith shippers and now currently the staff and voice actors. But lately, it’s evolved into a pure hatred for a certain character and ships with that character: Shiro.

Trump Administration Considers Far-Reaching Steps for ‘Extreme Vetting’
Foreigners who want to visit the U.S. could be forced to disclose contacts on their mobile phones, social-media passwords and financial records, and to answer probing questions about their ideology, according to Trump administration officials.
By Laura Meckler

I need to tell you about the simple, undeniable levels of bullshit that are going through right now under the guise of “extreme vetting”.

And I want to make it clear, first and foremost, that none of these are effective in preventing terrorism or terrorists from entering the country.  They are the most basic, simple-minded, and easily circumvented rules and restrictions for a terrorist to bypass that there can be, frankly.

As usual, the Trump Administration is a pile of shit that doesn’t know how to be effective, doesn’t know what it’s doing, and is just throwing up “national security” as a smoke screen of national security to be underhanded, bigoted, and just stupid.  They’re Big Brother that everyone says they hate, but then I don’t see people talking about Big Brother shit that’s going down coming from the man who was going to clean up Washington/”drain the swamp”.

First, if you want to enter the country you need to give them your cell phone.  You need to give them your entire contact list, all of your internet passwords.  Literally your entire online life is to be examined and submitted to the US government before flying into the country.  When DHS was asked about how this would impact tourism, John Kelly simply said:

“If they don’t want to give us that information then they don’t come.”

Which seems sensible, unless and until you think of the inverse.  If you had to sign away your entire digital life to visit England, would you?  If you had to sign away your entire digital life to go to Greece, or on that Japan trip you wanted since you were a teen, or to go to the Bahamas, would you?

Make no mistake, this is, unquestionably, going to hurt the American economy as less people come to visit for vacation and work.  Undeniably.  It’s also going to be entirely ineffective.

Terrorists can simply not have a phone with them.  Or have a burner phone.  In fact, anyone can in theory.  So at best its ineffective, it’s universally an invasion of privacy, and its undeniably going to hurt the tourism industry.

Secondly, have you seen some of the fucking questions they’re going to ask people?  Questions that relate to abortion practices (because we all know that christian and islamic fundamentalists disagree on abortion)

On a personal note, I want to attack this line.

“If there is any doubt about a person’s intentions coming to the United States, they should have to overcome–really and truly prove to our satisfaction–that they are coming for legitimate reasons,”

My aunt is from Indonesia.  She’s fairly famous there (big political family), an outspoken proponent of women’s rights and against extremism.  She is literally a household name.  She married a USA citizen (my uncle) who used to work for the government and retains his US citizenship.  All three of her children are U.S. Citizens.  She’s come to the US over a dozen times through the years.  Her planned residency was with my family, who literally have been here since the 1500s.  her family that she married into has deeper ties to the U.S. than the fucking United States does.

Her oldest son is graduating from college in a few weeks at his father’s alma mater.  They found her, her of all people, as “having an illegitimate reason to come to the US”.

Her illegitimate reason: wanting to be there for her son when he walks down to get his diploma.

They’re lying to you.  There are no reasons legitimate enough, or people verified enough, if you’re Muslim from a brown country.

“Wait, R&E.  Maybe that’s just not a legitimate reason and it’s disconnected from her race and religion” REALLY?  You actually think they’re going to block a brit from coming to see their child graduate?  Is that what you actually think?  Because I can literally tell you there is no possible way that any rational person could view my aunt as a religious extremist.

And even if you’re shutting your eyes and plugging your ears on the racial and religious angle, do you actually want, as an American, to say that the biggest moments in your children’s lives, and your own lives, are not a legitimate reason to travel here?

Because then the tourism industry is literally dead.
