guess who's my favorite

I’ve had the realization that I’ve been misleading you all accidentally

You see, when I say I love Joan of Arc, I actually mean the martyr. The Person. I adore that snippet of history because there’s a lot of ways to interpret it and all of them are INCREDIBLY interesting.

That’s why I always add “…and all fictional versions of her” after I say that, usually.

Fate Jeanne didn’t actually grow on me until further into Apocrypha, and she isn’t actually my favorite Fate character (that would be Tamamo and the other 8, because her lore and characterization based on her in-universe backstory is awesome). But I DO adore her, and from there Jalter and Jasl just sorta slotted into place.

Same with Granblue Jeanne and Djeanne, really. I love the archetype and she’s adorable, but obviously still isn’t my favorite character (who could have possibly guessed?)

Then there’s SnB Jeanne, who is actually my favorite SnB character.

the magic begins 01: favourite character
      ↳ Minerva McGonagall

“[Voldemort] can punish them. Couple of kids more or less, what’s the difference?”

“Only the difference between truth and lies, courage and cowardice,” said Professor McGonagall, who had turned very pale. “A difference, in short, which you and your sister seem unable to appreciate. But let me make one thing very clear. You are not going to pass off your many ineptitudes on the students of Hogwarts. I shall not permit it.”

the boys (without Noah though)

currently i’m reading The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and i can’t help myself, i love it so much!

this is my first attempt to draw book characters actually and i like how it turned out

  • Five year old me: "Mommy, Wonder Woman is my favorite. Because she is a girl and her costume makes sense and she has a lasso."
  • Mom then: "That's right! And she can twirl to change her clothes. Very useful."
  • Me today: "DIANA IS MY PRECIOUS ANGEL BABY AND I WILL FIGHT FOR HER TO BE HAPPY OKAY."
  • Mom today: *applause and cheering as Diana runs out into battle*
