I spent the last 3 hours reading meta because what else would I do, amiright? What’s important about this is that I gained insight into aspects of the story that I have either willingly overlooked or that I’ve come to hate for the wrong reasons (namely, the fandom and it’s tendency of making me despise characters due to the fandom’s interpretation.) In that sense, I’m sorry, Naruto, I done did you wrong.
But what I actually want to talk about is more of a wishlist thing that resulted from this realization. If you keep up with my blog, you may have noticed that the only well-developed (and currently going) canon relationships I have built (may they be romantic, familial, or platonic) are with (several) Itachi(s), Sakura, and Orochimaru. I love them all dearly but?? I’ve had this blog for over a year now and I never managed to interact with (for example) a Naruto or Kakashi on more than a spotty (and short-lived) case to case basis.
Idk, this is long and I’m not even sure what I want to say exactly. Though, well, mostly I want to say that I want to interact with muses continuously rather than have one or two unplotted threads that I end up dropping anyway. I tried to build bonds with all sorts of muses but it hardly ever worked out. I miss the relations Sasuke has in canon. (Other rookies, Taka, the rest of team 7 obviously, …)
In that sense, please let me know if you’re interested in long-term plotting (and have the intention of keeping at it). I realize that chemistry is a thing, which is why I don’t want to “trap” anyone. I’d just … be reassured knowing that someone actually wants to develop a bond instead of entertaining random interactions that never lead to anything. I’m here to write more than the occasional shenanigan. Which isn’t to say that I don’t value these interactions regardless but my attention span is short and my interest lies elsewhere.
