“According to Greek Mythology, humans were originally created with four arms, four legs and a head with two faces. Fearing their power, Zeus split them into two separate beings, condemning them to spend their lives in search of their other halves.” - Plato’s The Symposium

GRRM knew this relationship was going to be the focus. The actors have known about it for a long time and seeing them together, they’ve played beautifully off each other. They know each other so well that  it’s almost effortless in terms of their performance

As we come close to the end of GOT/ASOIF, it’s becoming easier to find uncanny similarities between characters whether it’s their circumstances or personalities. In regards to Dany and Cersei, we have two very identical characters that we may not have noticed early on. This will be a multiple part analysis that will cover everything from their circumstances to their personalities and then to discuss their kids. It’s becoming very clear that Dany and Cersei are mirrors of each other, regardless of age.

In this first installment, we’re going to discuss the circumstances in Dany and Cersei’s storylines. When the story first starts they’re in a low point. Dany is at the mercy of her abusive and insane brother to be married off to a brutal man in exchange for an army. Cersei is locked in an unhappy marriage and worried the truth of her incestuous relationship with Jaime would come to light. Both have very little power or influence, despite Cersei being queen and having everything at her disposal. Neither of them are at their full potential and their stories are very much about the rise and fall of their individual power.

Let’s get to it!

The Free Cities (Work in progress)

This will be a new map of the Free Cities mentioned in A Song of Ice and Fire. The final map will be A3-sized and awesome. I mean it. Terrific.
