The roses were incredibly lifelike, right down to the velvety looking petals. 36 in total, representing a desire to remember all manner of romantic moments. Miri was pleased; she would have to remember to continue using this metal smith in the future.
Attached to the bouquet was a small card, written in her sweet, flowery penmanship:
I know the circumstances behind your marriage are not ideal, but I still wish you the best of luck and all the happiness in the world.
These roses are enchanted; if ever you and your lord husband are fighting, and are in need of condolence or resolution, simply touch these roses and those nearby will be filled with a blissful peace.
Here’s hoping these lovely flowers will never need be used save to pretty up your keep.
The Commonfolk Tourney was a huge success! I was so glad to see so many people in attendance. There were many skilled fighters and impressive marksman, but in the end three stood victorious, and only one could claim the title of Champion of the People!
Fisk Elcarth won out in the hand to hand combat, proclaimed Pugilist of the people, Adamar won the armed combat and won himself the title of Shield of the people.
However, the final champion was a skilled and mysterious archer named Saenarina Wolfblood. Her skills were impressing and at the end of the tourney, she was proclaimed Champion of the people.
I honestly can’t remember half of what was said. My heart was humming the whole time, the blood rushing in my ears turning the priestess’s words to mumbled sounds. I don’t even remember seeing anyone else…I know just about everyone from our house was there…and the people of the White Sigil, Ser Edmure and House Drache, Lord Beloch and his house, Lady Annah and House Grouss were all there…but the only thing I remember seeing was Devoner.
He looked…incredible. Clad in white and gold, he looked like a fairy tale knight. I know he was nervous as I was, I could feel it. But the thing overshadowed it was his joy…his love. It mirrored my own. And the way he looked at me…I will never, so long as I live forget how he looked at me when I stepped before him to say our vows.
When he kissed me for the first time as my husband…something felt like it just clicked. Like a puzzle piece falling into place. Never had anything felt so right in my life.
The reception was just wonderful. So many people came! And so many wonderful gifts. I’ve been given so many gems, I don’t even know what to do with them! Mr.Jahrol’s gift certainly seemed to impress Dev. I’ve never liked brandy, but I will be sure to try some. Mr. Augus’s gift made laugh so much. And Rycca’s gift…L-Light I didn’t even know things like that EXISTED! Honestly I d-don’t think we’ll use it…maybe…Along with Lady Lysa’s gift -which come to find out she was put up to it by Edmure-. Really, w-what do they expect me to DO with a leash and a collar…
Galen’s gift…I honestly can’t wait to go through the pages of the book. It’s just magnificent! I can feel the power within its pages. Cassa even gave us leave to stay at a home of her family’s in Dalaran for a few days! And Mr. Fisk gave Devoner a BEAUTIFUL sword, and me the most beautiful piece of jewelery I’ve ever seen. Reshuv even gave me a gift; a mace that was very ornate, for decoration of course, but the fact that it pulsed with Light…it was amazing.
We’re on our way to Dalarn now, to celebrate for a day or two on our own. I’m so excited and so happy. No doubt there are still difficult times ahead, but now we will face everything together. As husband and wife. As a family.
And nothing on this earth or beyond will change that.
((OOC- thank you to everyone who came! It was quite a turnout! And to those who I forgot to mention their gift, I’M SO SORRY! Send me a message and remind me and I’ll make sure to edit XD))
Tonight, we are resting in lovely little place called Binan Village in Pandaria! I never thought I’d be back in this land again…but the trip here was quite enjoyable!
I’d forgotten how lush it is here…how clean and beautiful. Mizzen, Devoner, Galen, Kaleb, Kendrea…and much of the House Grouss were there. We stopped at the Halfhill Market for supplies. Such food! We saw apples bigger than Galen! I’ll have to see about having one shipped home just for Vykk…he’d LOVE IT! Devoner and I even bought some seeds to bring back home. I pray we can at least encourage something to grow.
Mizzen couldn’t stand still, she wanted to see EVERYTHING. I can hardly blame her, even the animals were big and strange! Once we stopped in the village, our guide, a Miss Leyarra Shatterpaw, along with a MASSIVE man named Augus entertained us with stories. Even Mizzen told one, I was so proud of her.
Galen seemed a little unsettled by the moon tonight..but I’m glad he seems to be doing better now. He is a good man, devoted and brave. I knew I made a good choice making him a guard.
Devoner and I took a walk after things had settled in the village…it’s so peaceful here. Maybe we should have outtings like this more often…
Tonight was the Charity for the Orphans of Stormwind and it was a RESOUNDING success! We raised so much money for the little dears, no doubt they’ll have a new roof (and then some!) in no time! It was very rewarding, despite Lady Grouss getting pick pocketed. Hopefully the will get resolved soon enough.
When we dropped off the donations, some children were shouting Devoner’s name….they were playing. He introduced himself, and you’d have thought they were seeing Uther reborn. They were on him and praising him….it was so sweet. He even stayed to tell them stories…he will make a wonderful father one day…
As we were leaving, Ser Gevudan wished to speak to Devoner. He was…so very angry. And I do not blame him. The witch destroyed so many people…so many innocents in her maddness…I hear their screams some nights. Smell the blood and the fear. Some nights I still think I’m locked in those awful crypts…
He wants justice…what can I give that the witch did not already rip from me?
