Charity Highlight:  Charity Water.

One of the main reasons that people who want to give but don’t has to do with Transparency.  That’s why the Charity of focus today is so special!

charity: water consists of a group of passionate and determined creative problem-solvers who want to make a difference. Their mission is to bring clean and safe drinking water to every person in the world.

Private donors fund their operating costs so 100% of your donations go straight to the field. They prove every water project they build using photos and GPS coordinates on Google Maps.

Now if more charities were this organized, giving would be a lot easier right?

We love Ted Talks especially when kids are involved!

Beau Lotto + Amy O'Toole: Science is for everyone, kids included.

Amy O'Toole is a 12-year-old student who helped run a science experiment inspired by Beau Lotto’s participative science approach. At age 10 she became one of the youngest people ever to publish a peer-reviewed science paper.
It’s amazing what happens when you involve kids in activities they never imagined would interest them.

“War crimes are defined by the winners.” A shocking and unfortunately true quote from an #Oscar Nominated #documentary called The Act of Killing did not win an #Oscar last night but it’s an incredible film about war. Another great documentary nominated for an #Oscar last night is Dirty Wars which presents one of the least-known components in the war on terror, the Joint Special Operations Command which conducts its work in secret and seemingly without limitations. It’s a frightening thing when men are given unlimited power and face no consequences.

Films do more than entertain, they educate!
