The horoscope is a highly complex astronomical map based not only on date of birth but on the time, year, and place as well. We must first, therefore, discard all preconceptions and prejudice based on popular magazine astrology, which has virtually nothing to do with the actual study

The birth map does not plot the fate of the individual in a predestined way. Rather, it symbolizes the basic lines of his character’s potential development. It takes a minimum of thought to realize that a man will act and shape his life according to his needs, fears, and abilities, and that these needs, fears, and abilities stem from his inherent disposition. In this sense character is fate, and if we are ignorant of our own natures - as most of us are who have never explored the unconscious - then the stars cannot be blamed for the fact that we run headlong and blind along the course we ourselves have chosen. The more shallow interpretation of fate and free will - fate is what I am ‘destined’ to do, while free will is what I 'choose’ to do myself - makes it impossible to see the subtle paradox that these two opposites are one and the same

In 1996, Boulder, Colorado was rocked by the mysterious death of six-year-old pageant queen, JonBenet Ramsey. Two decades later, director Kitty Green returns to audition local actors, unpacking how each remembers and relates to the ill-fated Ramsey family. A darkly moving exploration of crime, guilt and personal bias, Casting JonBenet expertly blurs the lines between documentary and drama.
