imagine the missus and harry are having fun, joking around, being silly… and the missus accidently tells harry for the first time that she loves him. it would happen in the heat of the moment and slip out of her mouth accidently. the mood would change very quickly but as soon as he realizes what she said he would shower her with kisses and get all cuddly and stuff…. 😍😊x.
“You, uh, you what?”
Her eyes wide from the shock that filled and coursed her veins after what she’d only just blurted out, mouth covered by her hand as she averts eye contact with him, gulping thickly as he shuffles beside her and coughs into his fist. Her eyes focused ahead of her as Harry tries to process what she said.
“What did yeh say? Tell me. God, please. Don’t go shy on me. You told me-”
“Told you nothin’, Harry,” she murmurs, his hand sliding into her free hand as he locks his fingers with hers and squeezes them softly. His rings cold against her skin as he runs his thumb over her knuckles, “please, don’t make me say it. Because if you don’t feel the same way, I’ll look like a bloody prat and-”
“I love you, too.”
“- it’s bad enough that, wait what?”
“I love you, too. I love you. I love you back,” he chuckles, her head turning to look at him with a bewildered look on her face. Cheeks flushed as she makes eye contact with his soft, green eyes. His body lunging forward to engulf her into a tight hug, arms wrapped around her as she cosies into his chest, “god, I’d be a fool not to love you back, (YN).” xx
Brief Summary: Loki has a nightmare when you come to wake him up and make him feel better things take a turn for the worst. Future!Loki pops in for a surprise visit and things get turned upside down.
Warnings: Fluff and Angst. Hopefully some feels.
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Reader Note: Sorry it’s short :-:
“N-no I won’t… Can’t… No!..” You heard Loki’s voice shouting from his room. It was the middle of the night as you quickly scurried out of bed, slipping your robe on and heading to check on your long time best friend. You knock on his door but with no answer, you quickly go in.
Seeing him sweating and fighting off his own blanket nearly shouting at something that wasn’t there. You realized he was having a nightmare. Quickly running over to him and slipping into bed to hold him close to you to stop his thrashing. “Loki. C'mon its Y/N.” You whisper softly stroking his hair, hoping to pull him from his sleep.
And you did, his eyes shot open, his body jolting up. Eyes darting around the room before he saw you and put his hands over his face. You rubbed his arms softly and pulled him into a tight hug. “It’s okay Loki it was just a dream. C'mon Ima make you feel better.”
Smiling brightly you get up and throw him his robe. “Put it on I know just the thing.” Loki slips it on and follows you out of his room and down the hall. Careful not to wake thor as you two slipped by his room. The oldest prince was only a few years away from getting control of the throne. He was the last person who needed to know where you and Loki were headed.
Slipping out the servant exits you two make a run for the garden, easily slipping out into the fields behind the tower castle. “See? Look how beautiful the sky is. Doesn’t it make you feel better?” you asked hopefully.
Loki chuckled and nodded, he had always loved the magic and mysteries behind the stars and you. But he wasn’t ever going to admit that.
You sat down on the grass before laying down staring at the stars. “C'mon Loki. Take a load off and pretend we aren’t out here cause you had a nightmare. Just two friends enjoying the stars.” he gave into your little game and laid down beside you, hand folded neatly on his chest.
“You know Y/N this is really foolish. What if we are caught? Allfather wouldn’t be pleased with you.” Loki mumbled his eyes focusing on a constellation of stars.
You chuckled loudly before covering your open mouth and turned on your side to face him. “oh come now Loki, when have I ever cared what the good Allfather thought of me? I’m not lying under the stars with him am I?” you smile brightly before Loki turns to you and smirks.
“Oh so you care what I think of you then huh? Little-Miss-I-Can-Do-What-I-Want-When-I-Want-Cause-I-Have-Breasts” The playful twinkle in his green eyes. You roll your E/C eyes and lightly shove him. “You know what Odinson.” You mocked him playfully, “I’m starting to think you have a thing for Little-Miss-I-Can-Do-What-I-Want-When-I-Want-Cause-I-Have-Breasts.”
He chuckles softly smiling wickedly now. “Oh? Sweetheart, you couldn’t be farther from the truth.” He mumbled leaning in slowly. Of course, this playful banter was normal for you two. But you knew this time it was different and before you could see where it lead there was a loud crack of what sounded like thunder and green smoke filling your lungs.
“Loki what … the hell?” You coughed out before seeing the concern in his soft eyes. “It’s not me I swear!” He countered before wicked laughter filled the field. Both of you shuffle to your feet looking around before another Loki stood before you.
Older, longer hair, stressed wrinkles and an evil smug smirk. But it was Loki nonetheless. “Of course it was me. Who else could pull off such a trick.” The older Loki grinned.
You had to do a double-take between the two, was this really happening? But before you or Loki could speak the Older Loki did.
“I came here to get a head start on ruling. You get to become a powerful King. Thousands of subjects bowing before you.” He sells his lines smoothly seeing the interest in his younger self-eyes.
“I get to be King? King of Asgard? Does Thor not want the throne. I- I don’t understand?” Loki looked to you hoping to find some clarification, but he only found fear in your eyes.
“Oh no not of Asgard, of Midgard. The humans are weak and cause destruction, they need to be ruled to be happy. And you must take it by force. Soon enough Thor will drop you into space and you’ll be found by someone who can give you the power to be King. All you have to do is lead their arm and conquer. Simple enough yes?” He held his arms behind his back before taking a closer look at you.
You were currently semi behind Loki, holding onto his arm tightly. Hoping this was just a nightmare you were having. “Oh little Y/N L/N. I haven’t seen you in years. That is after I use you to get what I need and leave. No hard feelings though, you didn’t really think a king like me could love someone as petty as you. Oh, you did didn’t you?”
“Shut up!” Loki cut off his older self, pushing you behind him protectively. “None of that will happen! I’m not some monster! I’m not going to kill innocent people because Thor gets the throne instead! And I’m never going to leave Y/N! I- I love her!” He yelled as older Loki smirked.
“Oh goodie, it’s already beginning..” And with that, a cloud of green smoke, he was gone. You didn’t know what to believe, wrapping your arms tightly around yourself. Loki loved you, but if that was his older self. If all that was supposed to happen. You felt tears stream down your cheeks. How were you-
Your thoughts were cut off as nimble pale hands cupped your cheeks, thumbs brushing over your tears. “Shush, Y/N don’t cry, please… That’s not me. Not who I am. I would never hurt you. I- I love you.” he whispered his voice small and afraid. His forehead pressed against yours softly, knowing he had to bend to do so. “I vow I’ll never become that monster. He may have tried to come here and make me into him. But I can’t become something like that. You know me. Please…” Loki’s voice cracked as he spoke.
You opened your eyes to look up at him softly, you didn’t know what he was saying please to. And well he wasn’t entirely sure either. But with every ounce of courage you had in your body, you leaned up and quickly pressed your lips firmly into his.
His fingers tighten on your cheeks a moment before relaxing. Your arms wrapped around his waist. He pulled away first and stared at you before kissing your forehead. “I promise I’ll always love you.”
You smile and move closer, resting your head on his thin chest. “I promise I’ll always love you too Loki.”

When your relationship of six years ends, you’re not too happy to see your newly-ex on the arm of another woman directly after; which is part of the reason you don’t mind running in to two men, who seem to have some exciting plans with you. Those exciting plans turn very serious, very quickly, when the world finds out about your love-triangle.
By the time Lucas let himself into his apartment near midnight, he was frozen and bone tired.
New York was experiencing a particularly severe blizzard, which had caused enough chaos to necessitate incorporating the entire NYPD into the full-scale disaster management efforts. Lucas’s entire shift — which had turned into nearly thirty-six continuous duty hours, punctuated only by a short, snatched nap to catch up on sleep — had involved investigating thefts, muggings, and robberies by perpetrators who seemed to think it was a good idea to take advantage of the foul weather and the hapless people who had got caught outdoors and were struggling to make it home.
The warmth that hit him as soon as he entered the apartment nearly made him groan in relief. Though his precinct wasn’t too far from his place, the arctic conditions outside, and the fact that he was so exhausted that a toddler was more capable than him of defending itself, had made the journey back a herculean task.
He barely managed to shut the door behind him before staggering to the couch and falling face-down on the cushions. It took his fuzzy brain a full minute to register that, since he’d been away for over a day, his apartment should be as cold as him instead of its current warm and toasty.
“Looky here! A real live Ranger Rick. Or at least, a not dead one.”
Lucas was so tired that he barely managed to raise his head at the voice, before the identity of its owner registered. (At least his instincts were sound — even as dead as he was, he would have sensed and reacted to actual danger if there was any. He hoped.)
“Maya.” He sagged back onto the couch with a groan.
“You look like you got run over by a herd of cows, Huckleberry.” Maya sat down on the couch, by his head.
“Two herds,” he mumbled, turning over stiffly so he could see his girlfriend’s face. “Led by Tombstone the bull.”
The sight of her in her sweatpants, fuzzy socks, and the big, thick sweater falling off one shoulder made him smile for the first time in two days.
“It’s a good thing it’s just you,” he told her, shutting his eyes and moving his head to her lap. “If it was a burglar, I’d probably have to just let them rob the place.”
““Just me” will remember to take your Playstation the next time you’re too busy playing cops and robbers.” Maya ran her fingers through his hair. Exhausted seemed too tame a word to describe Lucas’s current condition. His skin was pale, there were shadows under his eyes, and she could feel his cold fingers through the fabric of her sweatpants. “Come on, let’s get you out of these frozen clothes.”
Despite his exhaustion, Lucas managed to muster up a sly grin. “Shortstack, as much as I’d love to, I don’t think I’m in any condition tonight to—”
“Awww, that’s too bad.” Maya pushed his head off her lap and rose from the couch. “And here I got all… ready for you. I’m not wearing any underwear,” she added when his green eyes snapped open.
Lucas lunged for her hand, and Maya jumped out of the way with a small shriek, laughing as he almost fell off the couch.
“You’re evil,” he told her, climbing stiffly to his feet and staggering after her into the bedroom. “I can barely walk.”
“Hot shower. Change.” she said, taking a t-shirt and a pair of worn sweats from his dresser and pushing them into his hands. She pressed close to him, slid her arms around his neck. “We can have some hot chocolate, warm up,” she murmured. “Maybe then you’ll be in better shape to….”
Warm, languid heat seeped into him as she pressed her lips her his, drew the kiss out. When she let go, his exhaustion and her kiss had him floating.
She gave his cheek a quick pat. “Quick it up,” she said, smirking. “Hot chocolate’s awaiting.” She sauntered off.
Ten minutes later, feeling considerably less like a frozen popsicle, Lucas sat cocooned in a blanket on the couch. He had one arm wrapped around Maya, who was curled up on his lap and sharing the blanket with him, and a mug of steaming hot chocolate in the other. A fire burned in the fireplace, adding to the cosiness of the apartment.
Maya had put on Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Netflix — she always teased Lucas that his workplace was really like it was portrayed on the show. Lucas wished that was true, he loved the show, especially after a shift like this one. At least she’d spared him the torture of watching A Million Ways to Die in the West, one of those movies she found entertaining for reasons Lucas couldn’t fathom, other than that it involved cowboys and poking fun at him.
“I thought we’d heat up one of your mom’s pasta bakes for dinner,” Maya said. She’d checked his freezer, and as usual, it was stocked with a good selection of his mama’s home-cooked food.
Lucas simply grunted in response, leaning his head on Maya’s shoulder. After so many hours of being alert and active, he could finally let himself unwind. The warmth was making the stress slowly drain away, leaving him feeling pleasantly relaxed.
His brain was still as fuzzy as it was when he came home, but that was okay, since he didn’t plan to use it for anything more challenging than deciding where to cuddle up with his girlfriend or what to do for a meal. He wasn’t going to think about anything other than spending some much-needed quality time with Maya for the next forty-eight hours.
He pressed a kiss to her jaw, the part of her he could most easily reach without moving, and felt her smile where her cheek rested against his forehead.
Barely a few minutes later, as the adventures of Jake Peralta and the Pontiac Bandit continued to play out onscreen, Maya felt Lucas’s breathing deepen against her neck, where he’d buried his face. She glanced down, only to find that he had fallen fast asleep.
She rescued his mug of hot chocolate, which had begun to tilt dangerously and was at risk of depositing its hot contents all over their laps — he’d managed to have only half of it before passing out.
“Such a huckleberry,” she murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of his head.
Hana set down her controller, shutting off the
game she’d been playing. She just wasn’t in the mood to play today. She didn’t
feel like doing anything at all. Something was on her mind, and it had been
eating at her for days. Every time she logged on, he wasn’t there.
She’d met him online a few months ago. He was a noob from Japan.
She loved to tease him about how bad he was, but he accepted the teasing and
was eager to learn from her. She tried to push him away at first but he was
very insistent on having her attention. She thought it was cute.
Then, their first webcam call. After many talks inside their group
chat in game, they’d grown to like one another and were anxious to see what the
other looked like. She was so nervous, her cheeks blushing. She didn’t pick up
his call right away. Her heart was pounding as she let the call ring several
times. Finally, after taking a deep breath, she clicked on the green button,
answering the call.
She smiled like a dork, giving him a peace sign with her fingers.
“Hiya.” She spoke first.
“Yo.” He replied. His Japanese accent melting her to pieces.
His smile was so handsome. He also had green hair, which she thought
was really cute, considering his age. He was much older than her by sixteen
years. At first she was nervous, feeling as though she had no business getting
involved with an older man but after she’d seen war and fought in it at such a
young age, she felt like she was grown enough to make such choices.
“You are so beautiful, Hana.” He spoke again, making her blush
She quickly hung the call, embarrassed. She lifted her knees to
her chest and buried her head in them.
“What am I doing?” She questioned herself aloud.
He was calling again. She looked up at the screen, unsure of what
A message popped up in the chat.
“I ᴀᴍ sᴏʀʀʏ, Hᴀɴᴀ. Iꜰ I ᴍᴀᴅᴇʏᴏᴜꜰᴇᴇʟᴜɴᴄᴏᴍꜰᴏʀᴛᴀʙʟᴇ.” He wrote.
She bit her lip and began to type back a reply.
“Yᴏᴜ’ʀᴇ sᴜᴄʜ ᴀ ɴᴏᴏʙ.” She teased him, masking her nervousness with
“Pᴇʀʜᴀᴘs :P” He replied with a tongue-out emoticon.
She smiled and hit the call button. He picked up on the first
“I’m sorry, Hana.” He frowned.
“It’s okay, I still love you.” She said without thinking her words
through. She gasped, covering her mouth.
She couldn’t believe she said it aloud. She could feel her face
He smiled a big grin and scratched his head, also blushing
“And I love you, Hana.” He confessed.
His reply threw her off. She felt numb, like she couldn’t move or
Though in two different countries and never seeing each other in
person, they’d both grown to love each other’s personalities. It wasn’t hard to
do. He was always so sweet to her, even when she was mean to him.
But that call was the last time she saw
Hana popped a piece of bubblegum in her mouth,
and began to chew it furiously, attempting to settle her nerves. She needed
something to distract her. Leaving her dorm room of the Overwatch facility, her
hands shoved in the pockets of her sweatshirt, she took the stairs down to the
ground floor where she kept her Mech.
Walking to her Mech she stood there for a
minute, staring at it. Her intention was to make a few repairs but as she stood
there, she became more angry. She picked up a wrench from the toolbox and
chucked it as hard as she could at the mech. Tears swelled up in her
“Was that necessary?” Soldier 76 said from
across the room.
She hadn’t realized anyone was there. She
looked over to him, her emotions overtaking her, she began to break down. Her
tears spilling over her cheeks, she sobbed, letting out all her frustration she
had been holding in for days. She watched with teary, blurred vision as Jack
began to approach her. Without any hesitation, she threw herself against him,
hugging him tight, burying her her face in his chest. She felt him tense for a
moment, but then his arms were around her.
“What’s wrong, Hana?” He asks her, his voice
She didn’t want to talk about it. She just
wanted to be held. She let out a few more sobs before stepping back and wiping
her nose with the sleeve of her sweatshirt.
An alarm sounded over the intercom, just
“Emergency. Help needed in the med bay.”
Athena’s voice spoke.
Jack immediately began to run in the direction
of the med bay, Hana followed close behind. It was unusual for the med bay to
need help. She wondered who had gotten badly injured. As they entered the med
bay, Angela’s arms and hands were covered in blood, as well as the entire front
of her clothes. She was leaned over a man, unrecognizable. Hana tried to get a
closer look, wondering who it was. The man’s face was badly deformed and the
rest of his body was practically ripped to shreds. Hana gasped, losing all the
breath that she had in her lungs.
“Genji!” She screamed, and began to run
towards the man but Soldier 76 grabbed her, holding her back.
Everyone was trying to help Angela get Genji
stabilized. The heart monitor kept flat lining every few seconds.
“Stay with us.” Angela kept repeating to Genji as
she tried to stop him from bleeding out further.
Hana stared at Genji’s hand, dangling over the
table as blood dripped onto the floor. She felt so numb, she’d lost all reason
Angela managed to get a tube down his throat
and connected him to a life support unit. His heart rate began to stabilize as
the machine breathed for him. Everyone in the med bay managed to help stop the
bleeding. Angela patched up what she could. Using her staff, she began to heal
him, though with his condition it wouldn’t do much but heal
“It’s going to take a lot more to save this
man.” She looked to Jack with worry in her eyes.
Jack looked to Hana, and placed his hands on
“I think it’s best if you go get some rest.
We’ll do our best to save him.” He assured her.
Though Jack and everyone else were unsure of
how Hana knew the man who laid practically lifeless on the table, they all
seemed to sense her pain.
Hana nodded, still feeling numb. She slowly
left the med bay.
Days went by, and Hana was restless. She would
spend hours at Genji’s side, holding his hand while Dr. Ziegler came up with a
plan to help him. She would hear whispers in the hall. She kept hearing the
word “Cyborg.” Were they to turn him into a Cyborg in order to save his
life? Hana didn’t care as long as she had him back.
Hana still hadn’t worked up the nerve to ask
Angela what had happened and how they found him. She wasn’t sure if she even
wanted to know. As she was lost in thought, she felt Genji’s hand move.
“Genji?” She stood up, still holding his hand.
He peaked open his eyes a little. He was
unable to speak, with the tube in his throat, but his facial expression told
her that he recognized her.
“Genji…” Tears swelled in her eyes.
She felt his hand squeeze hers, but then he
drifted off again. She allowed her tears to spill over her cheeks. She ran into
the hallway where Angela was speaking with Soldier 76.
“He opened his eyes! Please, you have to do
something!” She begged Angela.
“We’re doing everything we can, Hana.” Angela
Jack pulled Hana aside.
“Angela is working on a suit that will help
stabilize him. He’ll be able to operate better than before.” He explained.
“What do you mean?”
“The suit will improve his abilities. He’ll be
able to function better.”
Hana looked back to the med bay, unsure if she
liked the idea. But since it would save his life, she accepted it.
After a couple weeks, Angela was able to remove Genji’s life support unit. He had healed enough to be able to breath on his own. As he woke up, Hana was by his side, holding his hand like she had been every day since he arrived.
“Hana…” He spoke with a raspy voice. Most likely due to the tube being in his throat for so long.
She sat on the edge of his bed, and ran her fingers through his hair gently. He closed his eyes, enjoying her touch.
“Dr. Ziegler has made a suit for you to wear.” Hana explained, looking down with a frown on her face. “She said it will help you function better…”
Genji reached up with a weak hand and touched her cheek softly. Hana reached up to touch his hand, holding it to her face.
“What happened to you?” She asks, trying not to let herself cry.
Genji took a deep breath and shook his head. He didn’t want to tell her.
“Who did this to you?” She yelled.
“My…brother…” He managed to speak out.
Hana’s heart felt like it broke in two and fell into the pit of her stomach. How could his brother do such a thing?
Angela entered the room with pieces of his suit in her arms. She laid them down on a table with a huff.
“I’ve built you a suit Genji. It will allow you to function all your limbs properly and also improve your mobility.”
Angela spent a couple hours piecing the parts over his body, and making sure they worked well. She’d ask him to move his arms, legs, fingers, ankles, knees, and elbows. Once she was sure it was good to go, she smiled to him warmly.
“You’re good to go, Genji.”
“Thank you, Doctor. Ziegler.” He bowed to her, placing his hands together. “I will not waste this opportunity.” He paused. “I will be forever grateful.”
“You’re very welcome, Genji. We are happy to have you with us.”
Hana didn’t realize until that point that Genji would be working with them now that Overwatch and Angela worked to save his life.
Genji walked over to Hana, his Cyborg suit completely pieced together, he lifted up his face shield, revealing his scarred face, and warm brown eyes.
“So it looks like we’ll be working together, Hana” He said raising his hand to make a peace sign. His eyes squinting, as he smiled beneath his mask.
Hana didn’t say anything. She wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head against his cold, metal armor. He accepted her hug and wrapped his arms around her shoulders.
Whether he was a noob from Japan, or looked like an xbox, she didn’t care, as long as he was at her side.
Raven stared at her perfectly manicured fingers as she tried to ignore his judging stare. Every second that passed between them was tense and thick, emotions running on high, so much so that it put the simple empath on edge. His perfectly pressed suite hugged his fit figure in all of the right places while his indigo tie hung loosely around his graceful green neck. He paced erratically, never staying place in one spot for too long. The goth was afraid of what he must have though of her as she barged into him on this day of all days. How could he ever forgive her for what she had to do.
“I’m sorry Gar, I really am I just-”
“You just what? Can’t stand to see me happy! Is that it? Your miserable so you have to make everyone like you?” Her body subconsciously flinched at his harsh, judging tone. This isn’t what she wanted to do today. No, all she wanted was to stand beside the beautiful bride and pretend to be happy for the man she secretly loved. Although he failed to see her true feelings all she wanted for him was happiness, honest and true happiness. Happiness that she herself knew was never possible for her. However, fate had another plan for the skidish Titan.
“That’s not it.” she managed to force past her tongue. “I know what you must think of me, but you needed to know the truth before you walked down that isle.”
“So you expect me to believe you? You expect me to go up to her and accuse her of that! You must be out of your mind!” His tone rose with every syllable that was thrown her way but she did not sway. This was too important, he was too important to life in the dark forever.
“I am not out of my mind.” The empath whispered to her fingers, choosing to advert his gaze still. “I know what I’m talking about. I can sense it on her Gar, I’ve heard her say it to her friends, she’s admitted it to everyone and-”
“But not you! She never admitted it to you!” he bit harshly. “You hate her, why should I even believe you!”
Her empty gaze met his for the first time in what felt like ages and what he must have seen forced him to take a few steps back in shock. Tears welled up in her eyes as the last ounce of her composure slipped through her frail finger tips. His never ending forest eyes watched her as she stood from his hotel bed. Her frilly indigo dress fell back against her knees causing a tingling sensation to slip up her soft skin. “Never in our friendship have I lied to you. No matter how much we fought, no matter how much hatred I felt from you, I have always told you the truth no matter how much it hurt.” A broken intake of air cut through the tension in the room and her hands instinctively moved across her chest providing a false sense of security. “I know you love her. I sense it from you every time you two are together, it is so overwhelming that I have a hard time-”
Her voice dropped just before she was able to finish her pathetic sentence. Years of self control all built up only to fall at the hands of the only person she ever loved. Her mind cursed her for what she had lost, for what she allowed herself to loose. It wasn’t him, it never was, it was always her. Always closed off, always rude and selfish. Eventually he had given up on her, moved on to someone who accepted his affection with open arms. She had kept her mouth shut, watched as their new found love blossomed, she was their when her proposed and even though she died that day, she told him the truth. That she wanted what was best for him and at the time she believed that was another woman. Even when she had been asked to be a bridesmaid she only accepted because he had asked, so here she was in a ridiculous dress attempting him to see something that she had been blind to. If she hadn’t left the room with Star for that split second she would have never known, she would have let him live in some sick fantasy of a girl that only existed in his head. God she felt stupid. “I love you Garfield, as a friend, as a team mate and as something so much more.”
Her pathetic confession seemed foreign on her lips, like the taste of a new drink. In so many ways it felt wrong, but in so many more it felt so right. His awkward tick kicked in as his hand rose to rub the back of his head, breaking the eye contact that she had initiated. “Raven. I-”
“That is why I had to tell you the truth. That woman is bad news. She is cheating on you, her lover his here waiting for her, taking her every chance he gets. You may love her but I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that she does not love you. Weather you believe me or not, that is up to you.”
Silence fell on the two as what was spoken sank into the room. The truth hurt but with truth came something so much more important. Freedom. Finally the empath knew that she had gotten her point across and with one swift motion she scooped up her jacket along with her the idiotic purse Star forced on her and walked towards the door. Her heels hit the carpet, matching the beat of her breaking heart. “Where are you going?” He asked softly.
“I don’t know.” she replied honestly as she whipped the tears that still fell from her face. Makeup smudged against her palm but that didn’t matter, she didn’t need to impress anyone anymore. “But I’m not going to stand around and watch you marry someone like that.”
“Your a bridesmaid, what am I suppose to tell-”
“I don’t care what you tell people.” she bit almost harshly. “Tell them I’m sick, that I had an emergency. Hell, tell them I ditched the wedding to go get drunk on the strip, it doesn’t matter.” Her body turned one last time towards his green figure and her lungs took in the sweet smell that haunted her dreams. “I’ll be leaving tonight.”
“When will I see you again?” The simple question took her aback slightly, almost stunning her in the process.
However after a moment she gained what little composure she had left and whispered, “I wish I could lie to you,” after a hollow chuckle she answered him in the most honest sentence that she had ever let slip past her lips. “after today we will probably never see each other again. Not after this.”
But she didn’t. No she couldn’t. Her sanity was long gone and there was no way she could bare another moment in his God like presence. Her letter of resignation had already been filled and placed under the door of her leader, after the wedding her would open it and everyone would know. After tonight she would no longer be a Titan.
The train station smelled of feet and decaying food. Passengers grunted and muttered as they loaded and unloaded their designated shuttles. A grey mist settled around the empath as she waited for the 9:00 passage to California. Not her first choice in destination however, after much arguing with Jinx she had agreed to stay with her and Wally until she decided what she wanted to do. Her fingers twisted and pulled at her done up hair as she tired to untangle the web that they called beauty. Bobbie pin after bobbie pin fell to the station floor and at some point she actually believed that her scalp would bleed from all of pinching.
After on final pull the last of the pins fell to her lap allowing her plum hair to fall gracefully to her shoulders. A satisfied sigh passed her lips and with one flinch she shot the dreaded pin towards the trash next to her. Out of pure dumb luck the pin bounced off the rim of the can and landed directly into the sack below. A stupid smile crossed her face and she couldn’t help bask in the simple pleasure that it offered her.
“Nice shot.” A voice said from behind. The goth didn’t bother to turn for she knew who the voice belonged to, she could always tell it was him by the way his voice slipped down her skin like honey. Her back straightened and she found herself holding her breath as he took the seat beside her.
“I mean really, you should play basketball.” he joked lightly as his gaze shifted to her. She could feel the burning sensation on her skin, the same one she felt every time he looked at her.
She watched her heels as they planted themselves firmly onto the tile floor, “What are you doing here.”
A light chuckle erupted from the person beside her and she could sense the relief that he admitted to her. It confused her, hell it scared her. “It took me along time to find you Rae. I never took you for a train person.”
“I asked what you were doing here.” she hissed as she turned to face his twisted face. He looked as if he was deep in thought, as if the question was surprising to him.
“I’m here to avoid the disaster that I left behind.” her replied softly, running his green hands through his perfectly sculpted hair ruining it forever. “Everyone was pissed and rude. Specifically her family.”
It was her turn to offer the confused look. She could not place the feeling that was seeping form him. It was weird, almost feeling new to the young woman. “I don’t understand.”
“I confronted her and she admitted everything. I was surprised honestly, she had never told me so much during our whole relationship.” Although his voice was upbeat, Raven could sense the undertone of hurt that he was trying to hide from her. “She has been cheating for months now, hell she even invited him to our wedding. I feel like a fool.”
“It’s not your fault.” the goth whispered softly. His gaze met hers and he offered the toothy smile that she had fallen in love with as a child. Nothing could stop the gentle smile that grew on her face. Although tragic that his relation ended she was happy. Happy that he found out, happy that she had taken her advice and confronted his fears. The truth had set him free.
His hand slid over hers sending a spark up her arm without her consent. Slowly his fingers interlaced with hers and she couldn’t help but stare at the action. “Thank you Rae.”
“Yeah.” she whispered to their conjoined hands, “For you anything.”
The sound of her train nearing the station pulled her out of the moment and back into reality. They watched as it slowed to a stop before them, opening their doors to her and sending a sinking feeling to her stomach. “Is this yours?” he asked squeezing her hand tightly.
“Yeah.” she whispered half hearty, not knowing what to do.
A few moments passed and finally he removed his hands from hers clearing her throat in the process. “Well, are you going to take it?”
Her breath quickened as she pondered the question. Did she take it? Her brain screamed at her to get up and leave, to take every grueling moment she had experienced and leave it with him, to start over and hope for the best. However her heart told her otherwise. “No.” she replied almost silently. “No, I hate California.”
“Hmm.” he sneered undoubtedly allowing a smirk to cross his face. “Yeah sunshine, fun, who loves that?”
“Not me.” she replied ignoring the happiness that radiated off of her and allowing herself to bask into in his radiance.
“Well,” he cooed leaning in closer to her form causing a pink tint to grow against her skin. “since your already missing your train, how about I buy you a drink.”
Her face turned to reply in a sly tone, however she was cut off by his lips as he captured her into a sincere, almost overwhelming kiss. The station began to melt around them and she allowed her hand to raise to his neck in order to pull him closer. He obeyed her silent command and brought his hand and placed it softly against her exposed knee. Her skin burned with passion while every nerve of hers stood on end.

Despite the modern way of life, in which a lot of people have seen themselves forced to live in cities where there are more jobs and opportunities, there are a few people whose heart remain savage. The Neoshaman or Urban Shaman are one of those wild souls; his thaumaturgical abilities usually manifest creating green zones and little lungs even in the most urban environments. They usually follow a vegetarian/vegan diet because of their strong empathy with the animals. They tend to surround themselves with their beloved friends the plants, and escape as much as they can to forests and natural places. They are natural born herbalists and, because of their inherent connection with nature, their emotions can have influence in the weather.
Are you still taking poetry requests? If yes, could you write something about a girl with green hair and brown eyes loves flowers and the ocean a lot? She's wonderful.
She had secrets that only the ocean could hear. How many bottles did you send out? Those are the ways that she has loved and that is how she’ll be remembered. Things aren’t as they seem, she keeps her hair green and her lungs sweet. Smell the stress the lingers– she is so much more than how you’ve seem her.
