Simon tries to save Dr. Polaris brother’s life in Green Lanterns #21
Holy shit this issue was SO. GOOD. It really has only very little actually happened – Simon trying to heal Seth the way he healed Nadir and then repercussions of how that turns out, but the tension was so strong that every page pushes you more towards the edge of your seat as you see the conclusion. The way this issue is structured is masterful at keeping the readers’ heart beating faster as stakes rise, on top of that building with Simon’s emotional issues and Dr. Polaris’ inner turmoil and all of that is illustrated just beautifully and with attention to subtle details like the difference in ways Simon and Jessica make constructs. Fan. Tastic. Once again Green Lanterns remind us why it’s one of the best books of Rebirth.
