Stand down, Cortana. Come home with us. It's not too late to stop this.
Stop? No, John. This is too important to stop.
Uuuugh. I figured you might say soomething like that, Cortana. That's why I prepared a backup Cortana with a more supportive attitude.
*skateboards in* Woahoho! *high-fives Blue Team* Wiggity-wiggity-what's up, dude-bros? I'm Cortana Fresh! I like skateboarding, not committing genocide, and punctuating every sentence with a high-five!
Anyway here’s a page of flapper mabels :’D I went through the 20s tags on @omgthatdress and @fripperiesandfobs for inspiration, adding A Bunch Of Stars Everywhere whenever I felt like it. I felt up for coloring in the hair but not the dresses, haha.
The little snatch of dialogue up in the corner is “Any bulls followin’ us, Grenda?“ “None since the one I decked back there…“ (”Bull” is oldtimey 20s slang for police. What are you gals getting yourselves into…!)
Thought about HAPPY ENDING for that idea of Fidds and Stan meeting earlier and by HAPPY ENDING everything is pretty much the same as canon but with more Fidds!
Stan still takes 30 years though, combination of Fidds too scared to help and can’t remember much, but doesn’t leave him on his own. So they just help each other out in normal ways. Fidds is mentally more stable and Stan becomes more “open” emotionally but still a grumpy grunkle.
The town still calls Fidds “old man McGucket” but not in a mean way, just in the “oh look at this silly old man forgetting his shoes again, silly old thing!” And he still invents random robots when no one’s looking. Usually hidden at the dump.
Also, important, Fidds punches Ford after Ford punches Stan. *thumbs up*
I have other things but those are the most important. Mabel makes Fidds sweaters that is also important.
Not the main plot (which is: the Pines (and plenty of others in the town) are witches, every witch has an animal as a familiar to help them with magic, and Dipper never could get one until he accidentally binds himself to a demon whoops)
but still: sad Dipper watching Mabel perform magic so easily with her familiar Waddles, couldn’t resist the angst uwu
Why do people always have older!Dipper stuck in Gravity falls obsessing over the same book?
Wouldn’t he try exploring the world? In a time where travel is only getting easier and easier, and we have a live, global library at our fingertips?
What if Dipper made a journal that wasn’t just a bunch of handwritten books, but rather he took full advantage of modern technology? Creating files within files, but of course being careful enough to have some form of it in the material world. He’d have handwritten pages full of Cipher and diagrams, but twice as many encrypted files or the occasional word doc. There’d be no particular order, to the untrained eye. A bit like a choose your own adventure book, there would be prompts to the next page but only Dipper would understand.
I’ve always thought that after this summer is over, he’d look beyond Gravity Falls. He’d look at the wider world and travel, finding places like Gravity Falls spotted all over the globe. Some of them tamer, and some of them making his summer at the mystery shack look like a walk in the park.
Imagine Dipper travelling the world and finding little triangles with eyes all over the globe. On make-up, on cash, in ancient tombs, on his tube of shaving cream. The guy’s always watching, am I right?
Imagine this lonely little kid making friends all over the globe who are just as interested as him. Imagine him making twice as many enemies.
There’s a whole world full of myths and legends; puzzles and mysteries. With Dipper knowing that all of them could very well be real, he would never be able to settle down.
So could we all talk about this? If anyone has ideas, please message me! I need this so bad.
(I say loosely because I accidentaly mulleted, so its sorta like this) But I really love this au
He has no house and barely any way of feeding himself, but he finds this kid who obviously has nowhere to go and there’s NO way he’s leaving her out in the streets and for once someone actually needs him. And he isn’t going to fail this time.
Voltron has a lot of slip ups and things that make no sense whatsoever, but my absolutely favorite one has to be Kerberos itself. Because they make it seem like it’s the size of a planet, bigger than a Galra ship, big enough for its own gravity to give it a round shape, when in reality Kerberos actually looks like this
It’s just a piece of a tiny irregular rock that is barely 12km wide in its longest side, and its weird shape (looks like two balls glued together) is believed by some to have been caused by two different pieces of rock colliding together and getting stuck via gravity + ice.
Like, no offense but a Galra ship is most likely bigger than real life Kerberos lmao
(To be very fair with the Voltron crew, VLD has been in development since 2014 and the very first Kerberos picture released publicly didn’t come out until New Horizons flew by in 2015. Before that, Kerberos was believed to be much bigger, which probably explains why the crew depicted it with the round shape associated with space objects that have enough mass to create gravity big enough to keep them that way.)
