and Boey seem excited to have left the Priory to travel, but to be
honest, I’m more than a little afraid. I’ve always been the type to stay
home and read rather than go on adventures. Guess I’d rather write a
story about an epic quest than be on one myself. Though I imagine being
left out would feel even worse…
How the fuck did I never realize Caineghis and Giffca are gay before today?
Caineghis, who is the King of Gallia, he’s been king for a while but we never get any mention of any lovers of his. He’s got no kids and no queen/consorts/whatever but he does have one extremely close and deeply trusted adviser, Giffca. This goes far enough that in Path of Radiance Giffca is playable instead of Caineghis when, because of plot, Caineghis cannot help during the final boss fight. So this dude who’s had like 3 spoken lines of dialogue in the first third of the game shows up and is BULLSHIT powerful and is here in the stead of King Caineghis. This is easy enough to look over, but flash forward to Radiant Dawn.
Caineghis is looking to retire and abdicate his throne. Surely, then, if he had any children or a wife they’d be brought up now but no, no such characters are ever brought up. Instead the next in line is Caineghis’ nephew, not any kids or spouse of his own. Pair this with the fact that he and Giffca come with a Bond Support, which naturally raises their fighting ability when close to each other, and Giffca’s official description is this: “Giffca is a man of few words and not much for conversation, but his sharing of joys and sorrows with King Caineghis as his right hand man since childhood have forged them a bond thicker than blood.”
Idk about all of you but that sounds pretty gay to me.
