grape-drink

everyone on this site needs to just like chill or something why is everything problematic it’s like you can’t like something without it being problematic me “i like grapes” someone else “what you like grapes??? isn’t wine made from grapes so you endorse drinking alcohol oh my-” maybe i just like grapes

Things I've found out about Jaal through party banter:

1. He can’t eat grape flavored candy/drinks/etc. because the methyl anthranilate used to create grape flavoring burns
2. Angara are immune to the capsaicin in peppers
3. He is 27 years old (on certain planets he’s older/younger, apparently, according to him. But his standard age is 27)
4. He hates the heat.
5. “Shalom” is his favorite human greeting

I will reblog this and add to it as I find out more lmao

We stand between Janine and the bed, so she won’t have to see this. Someone gives her a drink of grape juice, I hope there’s wine in it, she’s still having the pains, for the afterbirth, she’s crying helplessly, burnt-out miserable tears. Nevertheless we are jubilant, it’s a victory, for all of us. We’ve done it.

She’ll be allowed to nurse the baby, for a few months, they believe in mother’s milk. After that she’ll be transferred, to see if she can do it again, with someone else who needs a turn. But she’ll never be sent to the Colonies, she’ll never be declared Unwoman. That is her reward.

The types as things I’ve heard people say at church

INTJ: “I can’t stand Sunday school because of the idiots in the high school boys class.”

INTP: “I found scientific evidence that supports the Bible!”

ENTJ: “I like Deborah. Deborah was a savage.”

ENTP: [before Lord’s supper/communion] “I’m just going to film everybody drinking the grape juice and put it the ‘Everybody! Shots shots shots shots!’ song in like they did in the Vine.”

INFJ: “Harry Potter is about evil wizards!”

INFP: “I’ll be hiding in the bathroom during greeting time as usual.”

ENFJ: “I wish we could remove the part of the Bible that says bad stuff about the gays.”

ENFP: “Happy graduation! I got you a gift card and a pony.”

ISTJ: “The church Constitution says we don’t allow angsty teens paint the middle school girls room black.”

ESTJ: “A girl beat me at Connect Four? A GIRL BEAT ME AT CONNECT FOUR?”

ISFJ: “I baked 700 cookies for tonight’s fellowship.”

ESFJ: “And may God bless her backstabbing soul.”

ISTP: “My favorite part of the Bible is when Jesus flips tables and chases the guys out of the synagogue with a whip.”

ISFP: “I’m holding a painting class Saturday, but I have a feeling no one will attend because my work is too emotionally complex for anyone to relate to.”

ESTP: [telling the story of Jesus’ birth] “…And when Mary saw the angel, she thought she be trippin’.”

ESFP: “Can I request prayer for Bob, my imaginary friend?”

“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.

The nations will see your vindication, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.

You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord ’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah ; for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married.

As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night.

You who call on the Lord , give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.

The Lord has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: “Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled;

but those who harvest it will eat it and praise the Lord , and those who gather the grapes will drink it in the courts of my sanctuary.”

Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations.

The Lord has made proclamation to the ends of the earth: “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘See, your Savior comes! See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.’ ”

They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the Lord ; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.”
