— Let me ask you something. Why are you alive?
— I’m alive… I live… to safeguard the continuity of this great society. To serve Libria.

“In the first years of the 21st century, a third World War broke out. Those of us who survived knew mankind could never survive a fourth; that our own volatile natures could simply no longer be risked. So we have created a new arm of the law: The Grammaton Cleric, whose sole task it is to seek out and eradicate the true source of man’s inhumanity to man - his ability to feel”

In a world where emotions are illegal and citizens are required to take an emotion-suppressing drug, Cleric John Kennex is in charge of the fight against the “Underground”, a resistant movement whose leader goes by the name of Dorian.

Faking his capture, Dorian is able to infiltrate the Grammaton Clerics and kidnap John Kennex. He then proceeds to subject him to a treatment that stops the effects of the inhibitor.

Troubled by feelings and sensations he’s never experienced before, John Kennex realizes that there’s only one right choice:  join the Underground movement and Dorian in their fight against a system no one knows better than himself.
